Kobayashi can't focus on anything. He's been told so many times that he's a worthless idiot that he's starting to believe it. Until the strange new kid in class, Uno, shows him that it's all about having a tether to help you ground yourself as you spacewalk through life.

I love Kobayashi and the amazing changes that befriending Uno bring to his life, but I have to confess that I found Uno a little unsettling. I have a very good idea of why he is the way he is, beyond the obvious autism, and it's a little heartbreaking, but he's still an off-putting character to me. That said, I'm actually looking forward to seeing how he changes and grows right along with Kobayashi as the series progresses, because we keep meeting other interesting characters that open up both Kobayashi's and Uno's worlds.

The art is different from what I'm used to with most mainstream manga, but it fits the story to a T. The way that Doronoda makes Uno's attacks feel visceral is impressive, and every character is easily distinguished, which many manga don't manage.
