Very sweet connection between Amy and Mikhail! He’s dealing with PTSD, so he’s a bit grumpy, but he’s a sweetheart. She hasn’t had the best health in the past, but things are looking up for her. Now, if her family would stop treating like she can’t take care of herself; Amy decides it’s time to become more independent. Amy and Mikhail are neighbors that don’t start out on the right foot, but become closer as they spend more time together. Kind of an sort of enemies to friends to lovers scenario going on between them. They both try to deny the attraction between them; they both have issues they are dealing, but they have a good chemistry. Overall, an entertaining, sweet romance with a likable characters.

Mikhail is back from Afghanistan with all his demons following. His next door neighbor Amy has a painful past and is determined they will just be friends. Despite their intentions there is a strong attraction between them. This is the 3rd book in a series but could be read as a stand alone. I liked some of the banter in the book. This is a light sweet story that I enjoyed. There is a potential for a spin off at the end of the book. Thank you to net galley for a copy.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Poor Mikhail...he's struggling with a lot after coming home from the war. Enter Amy, his next door neighbor, who's looking forward to being out on her own after being coddled thanks to a heart condition. Watching these two build a relationship that started with friendship was so sweet. And the dogs! Don't even get me started on how cute Sarge and Panda are.

I did get worried that Mikhail would get overprotective of Amy after finding out about her condition, but the way that Morgan crafted the story was sweet.

These boys all have a lot of issues, and I was glad that they had Joe's last words, but I'm going to need them all to get some therapy now that they're settled. There's no way that just falling in love fixed all of the issues.

This one was a little slower than I like. I found myself putting this one down many times. I just could not get into it. I usually love firemen books too.

This story is the third and last book of the SGT Joe's Boys trilogy. It follows the third brother Mikhail and is romance with Amy, who each have baggage that they brought to the relationship. I appreciate that the author has the other couples make appearances in the book and continue the relationships between the brothers as well as with updates on how the couples are doing. I recommend the entire series and each book can be read as standalones.

A touching final book in the Sergeant Joe's Boys trilogy, Mikhail's story rounds out the three boys who were lucky enough to have been fostered by Joe and his wife and steered to a good path as they grew into men. Mikhail faces his demons this time. Formerly in the military and now a fireman, he has some issues which includes the death of his mother. His world is turned upside down by Amy, his perky new next door neighbor. I liked the dynamics of this couple as they were a good fit. Amy had a childhood of poor health and now is ready to experience life by moving away from her well meaning but overprotective family. What a lucky thing that her new neighbor is Mikhail. Sweet and sexy, this is what I enjoy in romance stories. And there are dogs, too!

**4 Stars**
This story was super sweet. I love a good romance where the two characters start as friends and it grows from there. The chemistry between Amy and Mikhali can be felt, but they each have their own past they are dealing with. But it made their story real. You felt the emotions, you felt the tension, but you truly felt that these two were falling in love. I loved everything about these two characters.

The final Boy's story and I really enjoyed it. Great to see the brothers and watch the familial love that's so deeply intertwined in the brothers and mother while giving Mikhail and Amy room to grow.

Mikhail - suffering from PTSD, childhood fears and guilt, and desperately wanting his own HEA even if he doesn't think he deserves it. Amy - has her childhood medical issues which colors her familial relationships. Amy just wants to be and wants to live her life. I loved Amy for her quiet inner strength and her courage to be herself. Not an in your face heroine but a heroine whose testing her own boundaries and growing.

These two together made sense and it just flowed. It was an easy read without too much angst or too much drama (just enough) and had the requisite HEA. Recommended for a nice summer day read, on the plane, etc. It can be read standalone but the 3 boys are good to read together.

Mikhail has a past that he doesn't want to dredge up and Amy is making the most of every day as she doesn't know how long she'll be here. Amy will have to break down his walls to make this more than just friendly neighbors. Great story Ms. Morgan

The last of Sergeant Joe’s boys has finally come home and found the woman to complete his life in this heart wrenching and amazing story by Alexis Morgan. I have to admit that I was reluctant to begin this series when I found it, not because I doubted I would enjoy the story, but simply because I understand the greatness of Alexis’s writing and have been broken-hearted in the past when the series I have fallen in love with ended. First world problems, I know, but it still made me second guess my choice to request ARCs, for about 15 seconds anyway. That is the magic of Alexis Morgan though and I was unwilling to miss the chance to experience it with her newest project. This series takes us on the journey of three brothers, not of blood but of the heart, who were adopted in their youth by a hard-nosed but loving military man and his sweet but strict wife, giving three boys who so badly needed it, the love of a mother and father. In the previous two novels Mikhail’s brothers have found the loves of their lives as well as a way to come to terms with the loss of their beloved adopted father and their experiences in the war, and now Mikhail is faced with a woman he doesn’t understand but cannot for the life of him give up. Awoken early one morning by the obnoxious and unrelenting knocking on his door, Mikhail stumbles sleepily into the path of the one woman he is unable to resist. Amy is determined to exert her independence and make a home for herself out from under the overbearing protection of her family. But when she meets her new neighbor, she quickly realizes she is in no way ready to handle him. Mikhail brings out a playful side of her and she knows that they could have something amazing together, if only he would accept that he deserves a chance at love and if he would stop pushing her away. Amy was fragile in a lot of ways, but deep inside where it counted she was a woman I was more than able to understand and appreciate, with an iron will to live her life without barriers or restrictions. She has been sheltered by her family so long that when she decides to be on her own, she goes all the way and refuses to let them interfere in her life. There is no denying she has had some issues that could have warranted their protectiveness, but I loved seeing her show them that she has moved past that and doesn’t need such close monitoring anymore. Mikhail has serious issues still to deal with and there is no denying that he is a work in progress still, but there was no way to resist this sweet, sexy former warrior turned fireman, especially after seeing him with his mother and new sisters-in-law. While there were certainly moments I wanted to slap some sense into Mikhail, there was never any point I wanted to give up on him and his chance at love. Passion and heat run rampant in this story, even as innocent of the world as Amy was, because when you put two people so naturally passionate about life together there is no way they won’t kick off explosions in one another. I am interested in seeing that there might be a fourth novel in the series about the hero's friend, also a former warrior that was injured and is in need of the love of a good woman. But sadly after that there seems to be another sad ending coming for Morgan fans and new readers alike. Keep dazzling us, Alexis, and I can guarantee you at least one reader for anything you provide until the end of your time writing.

Not only is this the first novel I've read by this author, it's also the first novel I've read in this series, although it was easy enough to pick up on and understand the inter-relationships from Ms. Morgan's previous novels in this series, which features 3 homeless and alone boys, now grown into manhood, who were adopted by Joe and Marlene, the best adoptive parents anyone could possibly hope for. This installment is about Mikhail (Misha) Wanjek, a former Marine with PSTD, who is now working as a firefighter and trying to keep his PTSD-driven episodes under control. His new next door neighbor, Amy Short, has secrets of her own, in this friendly neighbors-to-lovers romance, and I give it 3 stars.

While Ms. Morgan's writing skills aren't bad, I truly don't have much to say about this slow moving romance novel, which surprises me, since I generally love reading wounded warrior stories--but while Mikhail has the requisite number of PTSD-driven episodes, and the fear of exposing them to his attractive new neighbor, they simply weren't terribly moving to this reader, nor was Amy's ongoing battle with her own family members, whose attempts to always treat her like the sickly child she once was, failed when she escaped their overprotective clutches by buying her own home and moving 100 miles away from them.

Despite what was intended to be both the attraction to and romance between these two characters, the story moved forward at such a leaden pace, and their relationship developed so slowly and in such a mundane and on-again, off-again fashion, I simply couldn't connect with either of them. Building a fence between their two properties to accommodate Amy's soon-to-be-adopted puppy seemed to take up the entire first half of the novel. Yes, the author's writing skills are up to par, yes, Misha and Amy eventually get together and yes, there's an HEA ending, but if you're looking for a novel with strong, dramatic moments and deeply felt emotion, you'll probably find this novel to be as lackluster as I did. It's an okay, fair to middling read, but when I finished reading it, I discovered that I had little interest in reading the preceding novels in this series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and received no compensation for doing so. The opinions expressed are my own.

This was a fantastic story. I loved misha and Amy. They are a gorgeous couple. They both have secrets and past hurts that they are trying to work through in secret. I loved Sarge and Panda too. They are adorably written and the story is likable.

This is my first read in a contemporary setting with this author. I have read some of her past paranormal books from the series Paladins of Darkness and loved those and thought to give this one a try. I really loved this book and this is my first read in this series. Even though this was the 3rd book, I din't feel as if I missed out from the two previous books. This story is about Amy and Mikhail. Mikhail is back home and living on his own. he is still suffering from flashbacks and is working with the firefighter dept. Amy has been sheltered her whole life bu her family because of a medical condition. She has finally been given the green light and wants to live without her family hovering over her. She makes the break and moves away from them into her own home, right next to the sexy Mikhail. They work together to build a fence on her property and she gets to meet his brothers and nephew. I enjoyed the camaraderie that they shared and the love that was apparent between both families. 4.5 stars!

Love Always and Forever is another great addition to an already wonderful series by Alexis Morgan! This one is about Mikhail aka Misha and Amy! The two are neighbors and meet when Amy comes bearing brownies. Amy certainly didn’t expect a sexy, sleepy fireman to answer the door, and he didn’t expect to see a beautiful brunette. From that moment on, a sweet friendship blooms with an electrifying chemistry bubbling underneath the surface. As they become closer, and the line between friendship and lovers, blurs, each will have to face their pasts to have any kind of chance at a happy future.

I loved the easy friendship and respect between the two of them. The romance is a slow burn, an aspect I just loved. Both of them are very complex. Amy has spent her life on the sidelines due to health issues, and now she is excited to live life to the fullest, even against her parent’s wishes. Misha is constantly in a state of guilt due to his biological mother’s death, despite being raised by a loving family. He feels like he needs to save others, and as we all know, you can’t save everyone. Amy brings some light into his darkness, and his family knows this. When he discovers Amy’s past, he may not be able to stay. He doesn’t have control, and he may not survive losing someone else he loves. These two are a great couple, and one I wanted to get their HEA. They certainly deserved it.

I enjoy the way Morgan writes her books. They are told from different POVs but not in separate chapters. They are weaved together which makes the story progress more fluidly. One of my favorite things about Morgan’s books is the way she seamlessly brings past characters back into the book. It makes the book even better, especially with Joe. Joe has passed away, but he’s still a huge part in his children’s and wife’s lives and a driving force in the progression of the book.

I also liked the fact that Amy hadn’t distanced herself from her family for negative reasons. Her parents and brothers truly care about her, to the point of smothering her. I can completely understand why because of her health. But, like Misha, they have to give her room to blossom and really live life. She’s a miracle, and she deserves all that life has to offer her.

I loved the epilogue, as I have loved all the others in the series. It left me with a smile on my face and appreciative of the life I’ve been blessed to have!

What a way to end the story of the 3 boys that Joe and Marlene raised! This was my favorite book in this series!!!!

I loved the back stories that both characters had; it wasn't just about Misha and his demons but it was also about the secrets that Amy kept. I loved the humor between them and the way their relationship slowly grew even though neither of them wanted it.

I'm left torn with Marlene...in a way I want her to find happiness, but at the same time I don't think anyone will be able to replace Joe. That said, I'd love a prequel book....one that tells the story of Joe and Marlene and what their life was like when they took in 3 foster children so close in age. The troubles they had, how what they went through made their marriage stronger....

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!

If you have read Always for You: Jack (Sergeant Joe's Boys, #1), or, Always Be True: Tino (Sergeant Joe's Boys, #2) you know that Joe and Marlene started out as foster parents and then later on the adopted the three boys they were fostering. Joe has passed away and all three of his boys are at the point in their lives that change is inevitable and nothing would make Marlene happier than seeing her three boys settle down and start families of their own. Mikhail is the last of Sergeant Joe's Boys to get his HEA, and his is the story I was waiting for because Mikhail was the brother that we didn't get to see much of in the first two books so he was a bit of a mystery.

I LOVED Mikhail and Amy together! Sorry, I had to get that out first. Amy was a delight, she was a strong female character that made me root for her every step of the way. She has moved away from her overbearing family and is starting a new life for herself, and the first thing on her list has her seeking out her neighbor.

Amy and Mikhail do not rush into an insta-love relationship, there is a friendship that lays underneath their attraction. I enjoyed this slow build to their relationship it was refreshing to see that not everyone is looking to hookup just for the sake of getting their rocks off. It wasn't because Amy was a virgin, shoot Mikhail didn't even know that for a while, it was about two people that have had trouble lives wanting to do what was right for them by taking things slow because if it didn't go any further than a friendship I bet they would be ok with that too.

I'm thrilled that this will not be the last book in the series even though the three boys have had their stories, the journey continues.....

I am really sad, for myself, that I didn’t read the first two stories in A Sergeant Joe’s Boys series. If Tino and Jack’s stories were as emotionally charged, energetic and wonderful as Mikhail’s story was, I missed out. Hopefully, I will be able to return to the first two stories in the series and will wish that she continues the series. Jay looks like he would be an interesting story to read and I would love to know Marlene and Joe’s story as well.

Misha and Amy were truly wonderful together. They were both hiding the pains of their pasts. He was living in a hell that was filled with guilt over his mother, guilt over the lost lives while being a Marine and guilt over those he lost while fighting fires. How could anyone think that he could watch over Amy and keep her safe?

Amy was keeping secrets from Mikhail as well. She was tired of living in a bubble-wrapped life and finally enjoying the freedom that most people took for granted. There is no way she could tell him about her medical problems because he would become just like her family – treating her like she’s a fragile piece of glass. When he does find out, she could only hope that he will see her for who she is now, not who she was in the past.
It takes some serious soul-searching and a sign from Joe but, Misha finally realizes all that he will be losing by walking away from the woman who could heal him, make him smile again and live life the way that it should be lived.

I was truly touched by Love Always and Forever. Alexis Morgan did a wonderful job of letting us get to know Mikhail and Amy as they were getting to know each other. She touched on the PTSD that he was fighting and let us see just how much Amy helped him with her friendship and tenderness. I loved Panda and Sarge – they just put that little extra happiness into both of their lives and lightened up the more serious aspects of the story. As family goes, both of them had ones that would do whatever it took to make them both see the light, even if some of what they did was over the top.

I enjoyed this story and really do look forward to more from Alexis Morgan. She was articulate. She was faithful to her characters. She didn’t rush the story but built the love that formed, just like the fence, from the ground – up.

I really liked the build up of this story. First with Amy showing up on the doorstep of her grumpy neighbor Mikhail to talk about building a fence between their properties for her new puppy while sharing the cost. Mikhail insists he can save cost by letting his brothers help with the work and doing most of the work themselves. Amy agrees and loves the opportunity to prove she can do the work, especially after finally being healthy after heart surgery and her family treating her with kid gloves.

Mikhail and Amy become fast friends and when they can't help themselves they decide to be friends with benefits. Problem is they both want more even if Mikhail convinces himself he is not worthy, and can't commit to a relationship. As a veteran he has a lot of hidden wounds, and even some from his childhood that makes him push Amy away. His mother and brothers try to convince him otherwise, and his protective streak proves his feelings for her when her overbearing family comes to town.

Mikhail broke my heart with all he has been through and I was rooting for this couple to get together and make it work. Mikhail's family provided warm, caring, and some comic relief.

Mikhail had only been asleep two hours when he woke up. Then he realized someone was ringing his doorbell he thought it was one of his brothers but it turned out to be his new neighbor- Amy. Mikhail had only been in his house for three months he had been a marine for ten years now he was a firefighter. Amy had brought brownies with her. Amy had moved next store last week. Amy had come to talk to Mikhail about his part of the fence. Mikhail said he would talk to her later and went back to bed. Mikhail caught Amy as she almost fell as she had started tearing down the fence . Mikhail told her he would help and have his brother to give them a quote as he might as well do his own fence since Amy was. He had been building fences since before Mikhail had been out of H S. Mikhail wasn’t looking for a long term relationship . he had convinced his mom and brothers he was doing fine most of the time even if he wasn’t. There were too many dark memories mixed in with an equal number of regrets for him to be satisfied with how his life turned out. Amy hated keeping secrets from her family but sometimes it was for the best. Amy bought her own house one hundred miles from her parents and four brothers as they were too overprotective as she had encountered a lot of health problems because of her bad heart valve. But she had surgery and was doing great. After working on the fence together Mikhail invited Amy for barbecue and they rode on his Harley and she loved it. Then Mikhail kissed Amy. Amy was experiencing a lot of firsts with Mikhail.
Story it went through two different pasts but both were very deep pain. Amy and her bad heart and Mikhail with his guilt of his mother’s death and all he had seen and done while being a marine and serving his country. This really choked me up at times. But then at other times it really warmed my heart I felt like I was there with Amy and Mikhail. How could you not love Amy or Mikhail. I also loved Mikhail's brothers and mom who loved him so much and would do anything they could for him. At least his brothers understood what Mikhail was going through as they had all went through it. SUCH a touching story with a great plot. I could not find anything to complain about in this story which is great. It has become a new favorite of mine. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
