Eh, too much repetition and not nearly enough believability or development.

Flash of Fury is your typical romantic suspense novel instead of falling on the sword this story had a feisty female lead i seem to connect with even when you wanted to yell at her. The male lead was typical but he seemed a little more real than most of your typical military romantic suspense stories. This story starts off with a bang with thrilling action, bullets, lots of weapons, explosion, terrorist, running, hiding. The action scenes worked with the story that we were following. With romantic suspense there are always the convoluted story but at the same time the author is able to bring readers fun, feisty sexy characters.
As always there are throw away characters which I personal dislike but it didn't stop me from reading the story.

Flash of Fury by Lea Griffith is the 1st book in her new Endgame Ops series. This is the first book I have read by Griffith and after reading Flash of Fury, it will not be my last. We meet our hero King McNally early on when he and his Endgame Ops team was ambushed on a mission that was an obvious leak. Three members of his team were lost. This leaves him determined to find out who was the betrayer, and to find and kill the terrorists, who were part of the original assignment. King trusts no one, especially the CIA, whom he feels is part of the betrayal. When he receives word that a courier for the terrorist will be on a plane, he makes sure he is on it.
Allie Redding, our heroine, is a Peace Corps volunteer, and also the daughter of the CIA Director. Allie, who tries to stay out of the limelight that her father is in, aboards the plane to take her home. The plane is hijacked by those who want to kidnap Allie, but King manages to save her life and both are now running for their lives. Even though he saves her, King does not trust Allie, thinking she is a courier for the terrorists.
What follows is an ultra exciting, tense, action filled story that will have both Allie and King constantly being in danger by the various attacks. King realizes that Allie has been innocently set up to be used against her father. His goal besides killing the evil villain, is to get Allie home safely. Along the way, they both will learn to trust each other, and at the same time fall in love. Each of them have their own issues; King with a father who abused him; and Allie losing her mother at an early age, and trying to stay clear of her father’s CIA responsibilities. Though in time, Allie knows she wants to stay with King after this is over; but he stubbornly tells her there is no future, as it is too dangerous for her to be with him.
I loved Allie and King together; they made a great couple, and their sexual chemistry was off the wall scorching hot. King’s Endgame ops team were great, and I cannot wait to see their story in future books. The edge of your seat action was very tense, keeping us emotionally invested as we worried if our heroes would survive. Once you start this book, you will not be able to put it down.
Flash of Fury was a sensational start to this new series. This story was fast paced, action filled, suspenseful, and filled with intrigue, betrayal, and romance with a fabulous sexy couple. There are so many plots and twists along the way, and the ending was not only exciting, but also exhilarating. There is so much more to come in the Endgame Ops series that I cannot wait to see what Griffith has in store for us. This is a must read for those of you who love romance suspense.

Action-packed magnificent with a a sassy romantic element that adds to the tension of the story. Wonderful. I'll be following this author for more. Thanks.

It pains me to say this but I just cannot connect to the story and so decided to not-finish rather than low-rating it.

WOW!!!!! I really love this freaking book. I simply could not put it down. This book captivated my attention and I read every word and felt every emotion. I love when an author exudes those feelings in their work and it leaks into me. Wonderful! We have Allie and King and what an awesome couple. Allison is full of humor and just a few pages in, I was rolling with laughter. Her and King have some great laugh out loud moments. I love Allie with all my heart. Her humor is infectious, her bravery commendable and the love she has for King everlasting. King is on the warpath as leader of Endgame Ops, after members of his team are killed in an op over a year ago. This leads him to Allison Redding, however everything is not as it seems. As with most government factions, CIA in this case, what you think is happening is covered in so much subterfuge, lies and double cross, you can't even trust your best friend. The non-stop action, live action scenes that fluttered through my mind like a movie, are riveting. I am entranced with the secondary characters which make up the family of Endgame Ops. I am soooooooo looking forward to the next book in the series, which we are given a small glimpse of at the end. Poor Jude. Ms. Griffith has become a must read author for me. Bravo Ms. Griffith on a job well done!!!

'Flash of Fury' by Lea Griffith is book One in the "Endgame Ops" series. This is the story of Kingston McNally and Allie Redding. This is my first book by Ms. Griffith but after reading this book I plan on looking for more of her books. This has an exciting story that starts off reliving what had happened to King and his team. Then we move toward King on an airplane looking to follow Allie but their plane is quickly hijacked with people looking for Allie. King thinks Allie can lead him to them man he feels is responsible for the tragic loss of his teammates. Allie travels as a Peace Corps volunteer to give other care when they don't have access to medical help. In addition, Allie has her own secrets and is slow to come forward with them at first....but King will get those secrets. If you love a action packed, exciting, along with a good military man than this book is for you.

I won't say too much details because I'm afraid to spoil something! However I can say that this story is packed with action, intrigue, secrets and so much more!! also an awesome Alpha Hero that will make you fall so fast you won't have seen it come
A big 5 Stars

Overall, I liked this book and am anxious to read the next in the series. I enjoy complicated stories, but the machinations and various players coming after Endgame was extremely complicated and hard to follow. I like the idea that not everything was tied up in the first book and will continue in the rest of the series, but I had a hard time with all the threads introduced.

The action in this book starts from the first page and never ends. This is the 2nd book in the Endgame Ops series. I haven't read the first, but there is enough back story in the book to fill you in on what happened in the first book. King is a top operative for Endgame, a secret organization that handles jobs the US military can't be connected to. He is on a plane to pick up a woman who is a possible courier for the man responsible for a mission that went bad and resulted in the death of some of his men. Armed men come on the plane looking for the same woman, Allie. Now King has to get them both off the plane, alive. Now they are on the run for both their lives and things just don't add up.
I liked Allie. She was a strong woman, not about to be pushed around, but at the same time she was vulnerable. Mac is a top operator who has been on the run with his men since their blown operation and has a hard time trusting anyone. There is action, suspense, betrayal and romance in this book. The author leaves you with a teaser at the end of this book for another book in the series. I will definitely be looking for it. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This book sounded right up my alley because it’s about two people on the run, jetting around the world. Totally my catnip! Unfortunately, the book was largely disappointing for me.
Kingston (King) is the leader of a black ops team. Their last mission went sideways, a team member betrayed them, and several people lost their lives. King is trying to track down the international weapons dealer who was behind the mission-gone-wrong, and it leads him to a plane in Cameroon where he’s told a courier for the dealer will be flying. Instead, he interupts a hijacking in which some bad guys are attempting to kidnap Allie Redding. He doesn’t know if she’s the courier, someone else connected with the bad guys, or a total innocent, but he saves her anyway. When her real identity comes out, the mission changes to getting Allie back to America safely while also trying to unravel the complicated games that brought his team down.
The most frustrating part of this book for me was the romance. King and Allie have absolute insta-lust in a way that’s truly ridiculous. They are already making out very early in the book, while still escaping from the hijackers and before they’ve even had much conversation. It was especially stupid on Allie’s part, because she had no idea who King was or whether he was a good or bad guy. Come on girl, you can be smarter than that! King has some tender moments, but I didn't quite understand what was drawing these two together, besides the obvious stressful, life-and-death situation. The dialog in the book is also kind of awkward, and the action jumps around. Several times I felt like I was dropped in the middle of an ongoing series and I had missed the set up for all the characters and teams. It made things confusing and hard to follow.
The complexity was a double edged sword, because while it did make things confusing I enjoyed some of it. There are so many people involved in the plot, and while there are a couple clear bad guys (the dealer and his cronies) and good guys (King and Allie), everyone else is a question mark. Who is double crossing whom? Who has their own secret agendas, and what are they? Will people’s personal relationships trump their national and financial loyalties? I enjoyed the mystery, and I’m intrigued by the larger story line. In fact, I’m intrigued enough that I might even consider reading another book in the series just to find out more, despite my misgivings with this first book.
So, consider my interest piqued but in no way sold on this series.
Grade: 2.5 out of 5

Wow, Lea Griffith has a hit on her hands. From the first sentence to the last, this is a roller coaster of a ride. I can't wait for the next installment of Endgame.
