I am realy enjoying Ms Tyler's stories. Her writing has the ability to suck me in and hold my attention which I really appreciate.

Yeah, I finally read the second half of this series! It took a while, but once I read one, I had to read the others, and they all went by so fast! So intense, and so great to read! Each of these couples, they were so great to read about!
In these books, they defeat the first group of people that started creating hybrids back from the first book. There's also some reveals of who they were working for. Lots of important things, that went really well with the romances of these awesome characters!
Each book is mostly self contained, there's the main story line, but there's still the over-arching series plot line, and Her Dark Half, yeah, it closes a lot of the series plot lines! I almost felt sorry for Dick, because he didn't think his boss was behind John being killed (or tried to be, since they failed, yeah!) but since he had been such an asshole throughout the series, well, yeah, only almost sorry!
So there were two, ok, 3 really big game changers. One at the end of Her True Match when John is killed. Next was the big battle in Her Dark Half, with almost all the bad guys wiped off the board. And the final one, at least for now, is the end of X-Ops Exposed. From the title, you can maybe guess what happened, that shifters and hybrids are outed, as well as the X-Ops program. Yeah. These events all changed, or will change, the world, and I hope we get to see all the fall out!
I loved reading these books, and I really hope that we get more!

DNF'd at 40 percent and it wasn't because it was a bad book, it's just because the subject matter wasn't keeping me interested.

I've been wanting to read Dreya and Braden's romance since they appeared in an earlier X-Ops story, and am delighted with how this story plays out! Braden has kept his eye out for Dreya since their first meeting and when he catches her on a break and enter gig, he is torn over what to do with her. Luckily, the Department of Covert Operations has their own plans for Dreya and she becomes a trainee for them, using her feline shifter talents to become one of the good guys, with Braden hot on her heels to keep her out of trouble. There is an interesting subplot involving a mental asylum that is being used as a cover for producing shifter hybrids, with colleague Trevor going undercover to determine what's happening. Once Dreya's training is complete, she and Braden end up on a mission with Trevor and there is lots of action as things get complicated! Several previous characters from earlier X-Ops books make an appearance and while we get a complete (and sexy!) romance for Dreya and Braden, the overall series arc continues and things are left on a bit of a cliffhanger for the crew. The books are designed that you can easily jump in and read any book in the series and pick up what's happening, though you may want to start at the beginning of the series to know who all the characters are as they tend to make appearances throughout. It's a fun, sexy, exciting and action packed paranormal romance.

Cops and robbers take on a new theme in HER TRUE MATCH by Paige Tyler. Not only do we get a romance but the author adds in adventure and a bit of the paranormal with the shifter angle. Dreya has finally been caught stealing by Braden and she must help a secret covert department to stay out of jail. They decide that Dreya should work with detective Braden but their pairing up becomes more than just partners. Can Dreya and Braden find a middle ground and work towards their happy ever after or will they each let happiness pass them by? Love and trust go a long way, will these two be able to find a way to earn it in the other?
As opposite as these two are Dreya and Braden make a great couple. The two work well together in and out of assignments. I loved that Dreya is a strong woman and holds her own. Braden is a good man and cop. It was nice to see him respect and admire Dreya and her skills. He accepts her as she is and does not try to change or fix her in any way. Braden follows his instincts and goes after Dreya when she is taken away by other detectives proving his gut and his protectiveness of her are right.
This is book six in this series that is still going strong. I enjoyed watching Braden and Dreya work through it all. It was nice to see them get a happy ever after. Their adventure moves along at a nice pace and there is a good amount of world building and character depth. Although this book does end with a cliff hanger I did enjoy this read. As with most series you should read previous books in this one to get the whole understanding of the world and its characters.
HER TRUE MATCH is an exciting and engaging story and I cannot wait to see where this series goes from here.

Dreyas fingers could turn into long curved claws. She also got fangs and glowing green eyes and yowls slip out of her lips. Her hands, claws, arms, and shoulders worked in perfect harmony.Dreya had been stealing stuff since she was eighteen- right after figuring out being a freak would be considered a gift to some people. . Dreya was climbing up an outside wall of a building. It had been two months since she had climbed more than a flight of stairs much less broken into a building and stolen anything. That had to be a record - Rory her mentor and best friend had died. She had almost died also. Rory was the man who taught her to accept her claws and fangs, how to make jewelry and how to steal it Rory had reluctantly taught her what she needed to know to be a good thief. . Rory had been murdered trying to protect Dreya, all because she had been stupid to steal from the rich ex senator Thomas Thorn. Dreya had stolen a big diamond and that strange black box from Thorn and that had changed her whole world. After torturing and killing Rory, Thomas had his goons track Dreya to her safe house where she had been hiding until she hoped things cooled off. Then a big bull of a man showed up at the last minute to save her life, then a woman showed up that Dreya instinctively trusted she’ d given the woman the diamond and the strange black box then Dreya took the woman's advice and got out of town. Dreya went to Canada where she had fake identification papers and cash. The woman had told Dreya she would find a way to divert Thorns attention away from Dreya. Dreya had thought about walking away from the business but she couldn’t completely. The crazy freaky animal inside of her seemed to need the thrill of the job to stay sane. Dreya had tried running and working out to keep the feelings at bay but that hadn’t worked. So now Dreya was back and on a new theft there was a cable that ran one hundred and twenty feet above the ground near the two complexes one where she was at and where she wanted to go. She would be able to bypass nearly all the building security systems as well as the guards who roamed the lower floors. Bradan was a cop as was Mick and worked robbery and watched Dreya making her way to the next job. Braden was determined to catch Dreya and have evidence as he had been trying to catch her for a long time. Braden had been working robbery for eight years. The things Dreya did shouldn’t have been Braden thought finally he caught Dreya and had it on camera Dreya with the stolen goods. . But then came in the DOC-Department Of Covert Operations and snatched Dreya up and Braden followed them as he felt something wasn’t right. The agents of DOC offer Dreya an opportunity to work for then instead of going to jail. Braden finds out the DCO wants Dreya for her special abilities. F she stays for five days and doesn’t want the job she can walk away. The job they are training Dreya for is to get into places others can’t During training Dreya realizes she trusts Braden so they partner Dreya with him. The DOC has been investigating the making of hybrids at a mental institution from their nemesis. Three of the DOC agents are already at the institution. Since Braden and Dreya work well together and got called to the mental institution in Maine where the hybrids were being experimented on. There was even a hybrid who had got free and was loose. Braden and Dreya had become friends and Dreya wanted to tell him about her abilities. Dreya and Braden have hot chemistry. Also Ivy and Landon are trying to bring down the hybrid research centers. They also brought in a coyote shifter -Trevor. Trevor gets himself committed to the mental hospital where the lab is working on the hybrids.
I liked this book a lot. I liked the plot and the pace I loved the action and there is a lot of it as well as suspense. I like how Braden and Dreya interact with each other both as partners and romantically. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was good and who was bad. I hated that this ended in a cliffhanger as far as I am concerned and we all know how I feel about cliffhangers. I also loved the shifter aspect and how it was so different than other paranormal stories. This book is part of a series and I recommend you read them all in order so it will make everything come together. The ending was shocking. But I did loved the characters and the twists and turns and I recommend.

This story marks a huge turning point in a series that has had its up and downs for me, but overall the Swiss just gets better, and Dreya’s story is one that will obviously be leading the way for a new direction for the DCO. Up to this point the series has generally been about one or the other of the main characters =, who is already a DCO operative, joining forces with a new member in order to form the perfect team. Each of these couples has their own little quirks of course, but I did not see this direction coming until it was already too late. Dreya and Braden have been circling one another for a long time, apparently their special form of foreplay, but when the shit hit the fan they were thrown together into a world that niether of them truly understood. Braden had no idea just what Dreya was, though to be fair she didn’t know everything herself, but the draw between them has always been undeniable. I enjoyed seeing them interacting both before and after they became teammates. Ultimately it comes down to whether they made a good team, and I can honestly say they turned out to be truly meant to be. I enjoyed getting to know Braden, who is obviously the kind of white Knight that never has trouble finding someone in need of rescue and certainly never turns their back when they find someone in need. It was hilarious seeing him reacting to Dreyfus special skills and the side of her that he never imagined existed, but in the end it is the woman that draws his heart in and hooks him for life. Dreya on the other hand was a vulnerable woman that has had to harden her heart when it comes to most people simply because she was so different and didn’t know how to share her secret. She has led an interesting life for sure, but even though you might think it a problem, her past shenanigans helped her immensely in her new job with the DCO. I loved the way this story wrapped up a few of the previous stories in the series and even though there was a lot of sadness, the ending was well-written and certainly attention grabbing. I am Dying to find out what happens next and see where Paige takes us on the journey of these amazing shifters. Combining romantic suspense and paranormal romances in the best of ways, the X-Ops series by Paige Tyler is certainly a favorite of mine and with all the world building and changes that have happened already in such a short time, I can see this series remaining in my TBR pile for many many years to come. With passion, heart, action and a true flair, these characters leap to life of the pages and remind readers that just because you’ve never experienced something doesn’t mean it should be discounted or denied—after all just a couple decades ago it was considered science fiction to imagine traveling through space of living there for long periods of time. Open minds can lead us to the most amazing of experiences and discoveries!

High-octane and adrenaline pumping, the sixth book in Paige Tyler's X-Ops Series runs true to form. The story of feline shifter Dreya Clark and handsome cop Braden Hayes, readers find them in hot pursuit of bad guys and not surprisingly each other.
I can't say much more because if I do, there will be spoilers. The synopsis from the back of the book already gives you an idea. Just remember, Dreya and Braden can also burn the sheets so might have to be discreet if you bring this book to the poolside or the beach.
Her True Match is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content and violence.

Her True Match is the sixth book in the X-Ops series by Paige Tyler. I do not recommend starting the series here, it is too dependent on the previous stories in character building and in the larger story arch with is getting very interesting, but is complex.
Feline shifter Dreya Clark picks the wrong penthouse to rob and ends up arrested by sexy detective Braden Hayes. But Braden isn’t the only one who’s been watching the cat burglar. Agents from the Department of Covert Operations swoop in to offer her a deal. If she wants to stay out of jail, she’ll have to work with them—and pair up with the hot cop. Braden isn’t thrilled about the DCO meddling in his investigation. He’s been chasing Dreya for years. Thrown together on a dangerous covert mission, fur flies and temperatures flare. But when danger closes in on them, their game of cat and mouse turns deadly-serious, and they’ll have to rely on each other to make it out alive.
Her True Match is a fast and fun romance. Like many series, this runs into the pitfall of being dependent on previous books in the series in order to fully understand the characters, and the complexity of the organization and mythos of shifters in this particular author's world. However, that being said, fans of the series have been waiting to see of what awaited Braden and Dreya, we knew they would be back. The story also involves many favorites from previous books and ties together some threads that had been dangling for a bit. The larger story arch about the hybrids, and who is loyal to who, blows up in this one- and if you were not already fully engaged in the story keeping track of who was who would be useless. I did enjoy the story, although I felt like it was a little too easy for Braden and Dreya- although in the next few books I think we'll see much more about the dangers to everyone in the series- not just the couple of the moment.
Her True Match is a good addition to this series. I felt like the romance portion was a little too easy, almost like it was filler to get the larger story arch moving to where it needed to go. However, I think this will be a must read for fans of the series, because it was a game changer.

Her True Match is the sixth volume in the X-Ops series featuring the DCO, a secret branch of the American secret services employing human able to partially shift into animal thanks to a genetic mutation. Here we follow Dreya, with feline DNA, high-level thief, who’s saved from prison by a job offer from the DCO, and Braden, the cop who arrested her and seems determined to make sure her career change is a success.
Firstly I prefer warning you that if the couple story is finished at the end of the novel, it would be difficult to follow the secondary plots without having read the previous volumes, in spite of some reminders given by the author through the story.
Secondly in this series we follow almost every time in parallel the couple of the first volume during their investigation of the series’ red herring, which is why we have less time with the couple of the current volume, and that could bother some readers.
This being said Dreya is a high-level thief who’s also a luxury jewelry designer. She steals to satisfy the adrenaline junky side of her animal part. She’s thrilled to discover she’s not the only one able to have claws and fangs, but she has trouble imagining herself working in a team.
Braden is a cop who always works by the book since the death of his first partner, a hothead, at the beginning of his career. When Dreya slips through his fingers thanks to the DCO he decides on the spur of the moment to follow her. I thought he took really well his discovery of Dreya’s abilities.
Both are afraid to bare themselves in front of the world, to change, but they share an almost immediate trust in the other that will allow them to support each other as they learn what working for the DCO will mean for them. They also have a fast attraction against which they won’t really struggle, and their couple seems obvious really quickly. By the by they won’t take a long time admitting their nascent feelings.
On the plot side we have again the investigation about the businessman financing researches about creating of man/animal hybrids, and once again the DCO teams deal with a secret lab and a mad scientist, this time in a more advanced stage of his experimentations. I still had the feeling this general plot didn’t really progress, I can’t wait to know more.
But the final dramatic turn of events, with the supposed death of a regular and very important secondary character, left me shaken. The novel ends with the bad guys appearing to seize power and the couples of the six volumes forced to go on the run. I really hope the dead won’t “stay dead” and that this whole business won’t need several volumes to be solved because I would be frustrated.

We meet Dreya, the master theif, in a previous book. She's quite impressive - able to get into just about anywhere using a mix of her incredible intelligence and her shifter abilities. But she may have taken a mis-step and landed herself in jail. Braden, a police detective, has been tracking her and finally catches to her.
This one seemed to have a lot of downtime. When the DCO sweeps in and offers to keep Dreya out of jail, she goes into some intensive training and testing. While I thought it was interesting to see their set-up and recruiting/training methonds - it never seemed to end. I wanted more in the mission and with Dreya and Braden out in the field. The time they did spend in the field, seemed a little forced and overdone.
I did get to see some of my favorite characters from series, and I do feel like the series storyline was moved forward - but just a bit. I've gotten used to some seriously action-packed stories and this one just let down my expectation a little in that regard. I highly recommend reading this series in order. While each book has a stand-along romance, there is a lot going on in the X-Ops world that really builds from one book to the next.
*I voluntarily read a review copy of this book*

Dreya is a shifter and a thief. Braden is a cop who's been after Dreya for years. He finally catches her and arrests her but two Feds show up and remove her from his custody.
Danica and Clayne are two agents for DCO and take her to their compound. They have come to recruit her, she has five days to decide. She can join them or she can walk away and her arrest will be erased. Braden was worried so he followed her and they offer to let him stay and be her partner. They train together and when he finds out she not quite human, he's not disgusted, like she thought he would be , he's amazed. They become more than partners, they become lovers.
Also going on is Ivy and Landon checking out a psychiatric hospital that is making hybrids and experimenting on them. So they send in another agent undercover to find the shifter and hybrids. Trevor is hilarious and hope he has a book soon.
Sexy, edge of your seat action, funny, and sad. Totally shocked by the end! Bravo Paige. Bravo.

Her True Match
X-OPS - Book 6
By Paige Tyler
Sourcebooks Casablanca - March 2017
Paranormal Romance
Her True Match is the sixth full length novel in Paige Tyler's X-OPS series. I highly recommend reading these books in order, starting with the prequel to the series, Her Secret Agent.
Braden Hayes finally had her. Or at least the evidence he needed against Dreya Clark that, well, he wasn't quite sure what he had. There was no question that Dreya was a thief. But he finally had concrete proof showing Dreya in the act, of doing things that simply were not possible. She was in his grasp, when she slipped from his fingers once again.
Dreya didn't know what to make of this group of people who had taken her from Braden. But Braden didn't leave her on her own, no, like always, Braden had followed her, and she wasn't unhappy to see him. This group, the so-called Department of Covert Operations was giving her a chance at a new future. She was learning more about herself and her abilities, but she was also learning what a perfect partner Braden would be for her in the field.
And in her life... And for once, in her life but not chasing her to arrest her. Rather in her life as her partner in all ways.
Her True Match brings our familiar cat-burglar and local officer together in a novel full of action, suspense, intrigue, and romance. Watching Dreya go through training was fascinating, but Braden's reactions and responses were entertaining and endearing. I couldn't accept Dreya's reasons for being a thief, which made it hard for me to relate to her, but I adored Braden, and did enjoy their romance. There was also the continuing mystery and some fascinating new characters. Although the romance is complete, there is a major cliffhanger relating to the overriding story arc.

DNF @ 50% Nothing wrong with the book, it's just not keeping my interest to be frank.

HER TRUE MATCH is another fast paced, action-filled and entertaining addition to the X-Ops series. Time is running out on the team to find what they need to expose a conspiracy at the DCO and the newest team members may be the ones to help with that.
A cat burglar and a police detective are an unusual pairing, but Dreya Clark isn't your everyday cat burglar. She needs the challenge to keep her shifter half sane, and her extraordinary abilities have ensured both a successful stint and kept her out of jail, but detective Braden Hayes is very determined to end her lucky streak.
The cat and mouse game Dreya and Braden have been involved in has built an unexpected bond of trust between them, one that comes in handy when they both get drafted as new agents to the DCO and have to go on assignment immediately. Dreya isn't very trusting of anyone, which is why her easy acceptance of Braden is such a big deal, and Braden is a by-the-book cop, with reason, so following his instincts when it comes to Dreya is out of character for him.
Both characters were easygoing and likable, with little drama between them. Dreya is smart and sassy and very independent. Braden is a rule follower and very good at his job, but also a really great guy who's compassionate and protective. His easy acceptance of her is a huge point in his favor and the chemistry between them is so hot. The only point of conflict between them was their approach to their assignment. Dreya flies by the seat of her pants while Braden prefers caution, so they need to find a middle ground or their first assignment could also be their last.
I have enjoyed every book of Ms. Tyler's I've read so far and this is no different. It builds on the story-line from the first book and I have to say that I can't wait for the next installment especially because of the way this one ended. This is not my favorite book in the series because Dreya and Braden's relationship didn't have the explosive chemistry of others before it, but the suspense and intrigue at the DCO always has me on edge, so it's still a great read overall and I will strongly recommend reading the series in order, to enjoy it.

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the X- Ops series written by Paige Tyler. When feline shifter Dreya Clark is escorted from the police interrogation by two secret agents, she thinks she's dodged a bullet. That sexy detective Braden Hayes caught her stealing red-handed. When she finds out what she has to do to stay out of jail, suddenly she's missing the hot cop with the piercing gaze. She's being recruited for her shifter abilities by the Department of Covert Operations. Braden has been chasing the smart-mouthed cat burglar for years. But when Dreya's taken away, he knows their game of cat and mouse has turned deadly-serious. There's no way he'll let her go off alone. Fur flies and temperatures flare as Braden realizes Dreya is much more than she appears. Thrown together on a dangerous covert mission, this unlikely pair will have to rely on each other to make it out alive. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Her True Match is another great installation in Paige Tyler’s X-Ops series. I truly love this series with it’s mix of spy and black ops type missions entangled with a paranormal shifter world that is different from many of the shifters that we typically read about. In this world, shifters haven’t come out to the majority of humans. They also don’t shift entirely into their animal forms like in most shifter stories. They grow fangs and claws and their eyes will change. They have enhanced senses and some of the personality traits of their other shifter form (like cat shifters that feel the need to get out and hunt, even isn’t the same kind of hunting that a cat would do).
In this story, we follow Dreya. She’s a cat shifter and a cat burgler. We met her in the previous book, Her Rogue Alpha, when she stole something very important from a very evil man. She fled the country before he had her killed, but not before others will killed looking for her. She’s now come back to DC and is back in the thieving game. That’s when Detective Braden Hayes actually catches her in the act of stealing something from a very high, hard to access apartment building. He also witnesses some feats that shouldn’t be possible for a human. DCO (Department of Covert Affairs) bails her out, but Detective Hayes won’t let it go and follows them when she leaves.
So there’s this storyline of Hayes and Dreya working together to join DCO as a team. They also come together romantically. Hayes has to come to terms with the fact that Dreya isn’t human. He does take to that very well. They go a few missions together before officially signing on.
There’s also another storyline that is following Ivy and Landon and their quest to bring down the hybrid research centers. This time, they bring along a coyote shifter named Trevor. Trevor gets himself committed into a mental hospital where the lab is at. He works to gain access to the ward with the hybrids. While in the hospital, he meets a young girl. She’s worried about her friend who was taken into this ward where the hybrid labs are at.
This is another great addition to this series. With the two storylines going, there is no shortage of action. It also makes for a great overall story arc for the series. I would recommend starting this series at the beginning because of this series story arc. The hybrid search is a great storyline, but it is also a bit repetitive. Ivy and Landon find a lab, infiltrate the lab, kill or rescue shifters or hybrids, doctors get away, rinse and repeat. It’s a fun story, but we’ve seen similar scenarios in several books now.
I do love this series, even if there are a few things that are repetitive. The romance isn’t as strong as some PNR. That isn’t an issue for me, but for people looking for more of the romance and less of the suspense, this story is much stronger on the suspense side of things. I love suspense and lots of action, so that works great for me. I also want to say that the ending of this story changes a lot of things. It will be very interesting to see where Ms. Tyler takes the story from here, because it will not be following the same path that it’s been on. That ending was amazing.
Trevor almost followed after the woman when she turned and walked away so he could ask her if it was legal to work in a mental health facility if you hadn’t seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. He decided not to bother. Being snarky lost all its appeal if you had to explain it.
When she found one she like—a gray shirt with the word Property of the Metro PD across the front—she laughed. A thief wearing a shirt like this should be in the dictionary somewhere under the definition of irony.

Looking for a fast paced “crime fighting” romance with paranormal aspects!? Check this book out. This book packs a detailed plot with fun, out of the world aspects and HOT chemistry! Without giving too much away, this book contains “shapeshifters”. Dreya is able to take on some physical abilities of a cat. She has the balance, swiftness, nails, claws and senses of that of a cat. This helps her break in and steal, something she finds a rush in and enjoys doing. Kudos to Paige. I really enjoyed how she gave Dreya the cat like characteristics and how detailed and believable it was overall. The way Dreya acts and reacts embodies that of a cat so well and seamlessly.
Let’s talk about Braden, sexy law enforcement officer, and Dreya. Early on, you can feel the chemistry and tension between them grow. This makes sparks fly, creating an exciting, captivating story. Honestly, I wanted to skip through some parts of the book because I wanted to read Braden and Dreya’s sections. I had to know what was going on with them and looked forward to reading more. I wanted to know if they would get together. If they could be honest with each other. How would Braden act to Dreya’s secret? Are you curious too? Read this book to find out!

OMG! This is the sixth book of the series and while it might not be the best book to start this series it is a good starting point. The two main characters are new, they were introduced in the last book but it's not imperative that you read it because they pretty much tell you everything you need to know. Dreya and Braden, smokin' hot!!! Never mind the semi-slow beginning the ending, Oh My Gods! That's it, that's all you are getting about that. The book has an exciting intro and it establishes the characters and then moves to them getting closer and boy is that nice when they finally give into the attraction, Damn girl!
Classic case of opposites attract, Dreya has been a cat burgler for years and never been caught; Braden is a detective, burglary unit, and even though he has never found proof he knows every place Dreya has burgled. But now he's caught her red handed and Homeland Security has come to take her into custody. Something in Braden gut tells him something is wrong, he's not far off John Laughlin has been keeping an eye on Dreya for a while and her arrest upped his timetable to bringing her into the DCO. John makes a deal with Dreya she stays for five days and trains and if she makes it and decides not to join the DCO she's free to go slate cleaned no charges, no jail unless she bails before her fives are up then it straight to jail. Braden follows Dreya and next thing he knows he's brought into the fold of the DCO and partnered up with the woman he just arrested not 48 hours before. Braden though he knew everything there was to know
Also going on Trevor a coyote shifter joins Ivy and Landon in an undercover mission to find yet another facility making hybrids; this one working with in a psychiatric hospital. Trevor befriends a teenage girl who helps him get into the the locked ward where the shifters and hybrids are located. Thorne once again the man Ivy and Landon are acting as double agents to uncover his dirty deeds, is trying to eliminate competition and even though he sent Ivy and Landon there in the first place sends his own man who just complicates matters.
Not even a full five days later and Dreya and Braden have gotten closer than ever and are on their first mission together. But once again Dr. Dick messes with them and it has Braden doubting Dreya. Can Dreya give up the thrill of burglary or will she back to her old tricks again? Overall, OMG this book, shit just hit the fan. I can't wait for the next one.
