Wholeheartedly recommended! Not that I would consider this the "one and only" relationship-themed guide (or self-help) book to ever read, no; nor do I disagree with every opinion, tip and advice presented here (some I quite disagree with and the practical attitude is also only a part of the choice process). But the book IS both intelligent and smart, brimming with the food for thought very well worth of taking into consideration. It offers practical and deeply thought-of perspective, covering the both sides of the proverbial coin with exploring the pros and cons of (possible) issues like charisma, beauty, chemistry, communication, sense of humor, family stability, intelligence and wealth.
I'd say - evaluate your own case on your terms, it's your life. But listen well to these advices. They might not work for you or your circumstances might be wider, you may honor different values or the authors might simply not covering your own situation truly and in depth. So decide for yourself, but take these opinions into the evaluation mosaic.
Not as strong as their earlier F*ck Feelings, but still an excellent collaboration on the pitfalls of romance-based relationships from a psychologist father and humorist daughter. Solid advice on what is lasting in a relationship, but on par with other relationship books; the attitude and cross-generation / cross-gender collaboration is what makes it stand out.
