I love these 5 guys. This series is fantastic. Everything about this book is great. The writing flows perfectly. Logan and Brooke are cute, fun, and hot together. And the rest of the crew of guys just make the book perfect. Job well done
This was a good read for me, I loved Logan, the story is fast paced with plenty of drama. The chemistry between Logan and Brooke is amazing. I really enjoyed this second chance at love read.
Awesome contemporary billionaire romance. Logan and his friends suffered a severe traumatic event during their teens. They all went on into service type jobs. Although wealthy Logan traveled the world helping those suffering from disaster. Brooke went to high school with the guys and always was their friend. She and Logan are friends who start having benefits. There are unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader glued to the book.
I read this book voluntarily and agreed to give an honest opinion.
Logan has a very special relationship with his closest friends, they are "brothers" that all went to school together, played soccer and bonded for good over a tragedy.
Logan works for a company that collects money in order to help with disaster relief throughout the world, a company his father also owns. He works hard and is sometimes not home for several months depending on the situation. He has just learned he has a step-sister. He has his doubts since others have tried in some way to 'gold dig " money from his family but he has also learned she is seeing one of his best friends, one who is considered a manwh***. So he is going home to check out the situation.
Due to a hurricane, he is waylaid in Dominica and to their surprise he meets up with Brooke, who was his a great friend in high school. Brooke is there to basically drown her sorrows after she blames herself for a tragedy.
They are both very attracted to one another and decide to give in to it and spend the night together. Sometime during the night, he gets a call about an available flight home and leaves. This was just supposed to be a fling....
What will Logan find when he gets home where his new sister is concerned? And what will his father's story be since she is younger than Logan and his parents have always been married? What will he do when he finds himself thinking about Brooke all the time?
I have read the previous books about some of his "group" and this story was just as great! Logan's life is his relief work because he feels he can actually save some lives and help them get back on their feet. His father would like him to take over the company in general but he doesn't want to because he feels he wouldn't help enough people.
Brooke's intention was to move out of state for a new job but when she got home she found out that the funding was cut for the job, so she isn't leaving. She doesn't know what she will do as she doesn't want to go back to her old teaching job.
She and Logan continue to see one another and she keeps telling herself that it's still just a fling, that he will leave again. Logan feels so comfortable with her and feels he can trust her, besides the great sex but he doesn't want to hurt her when he leaves again. What will it take for Logan to finally sit back and examine his own feelings?
I would certainly recommend this story. This group of guys really are good men who just need the right woman.
After Logan discovers his father had a secret, love-child and that he has a half-sister, he leaves his disaster relief job return to D.C. to get to know her, but a hurricane strands him on an island. He’s floored to find his high school friend, Brooke, and crush there too.
Brooke is on a vacation to escape a recent tragedy and is jus as surprised - and a bit excited - to see Logan. She wanted him just as badly in high school but never got the chance to act on her desire; therefore, she sees this as her chance to finally have a night with him.
When the two return to D.C., they find that they might want more than just one night but still want this to be a casual thing, especially Logan whose job takes him around the world. Feelings don’t always listen to our brain and both start to feel much more than casual for each other.
I highly recommend Giving It All, and all of the books of the Naked Men series. They are fun and sexy with interesting characters and romantic love stories. I can’t wait for the next addition to the series.
I loved getting a look into the story of Logan Marsh, the Naked Man who never stays home for long. An incident in his teen years has him always jetting off to faraway places to help those stricken by tragedy. When news from home has him rushing back, he runs into Brooke Gallagher, an old friend. I enjoyed as these two reconnected and worked through some issues they both had. They had me wondering how it would all work out. If Logan would finally stay in one place. I am looking forward to seeing which Naked Man will be next up to read about.
This is book three in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I haven't read the books that came before this one and I didn't feel the slightest bit lost.
Ten years ago, Logan's friends were in an accident and thought to have not survived. Logan spent three days looking for them and due to his persistence, they were rescued. This event changed Logan's life. Logan goes into disaster areas with his family's foundation to help people rebuild. Detoured on his way home to meet his sister, Logan runs into Brooke, an old friend from high school. Brooke is on vacation trying to reset from a personal tragedy. When she runs into Logan, she figures a vacation fling is just what she needs to start to move on. Can the person you crushed on for so long just be a one-time thing?
The chemistry between Brooke and Logan was palpable. Since these two were really good friends in high school and never acted on their mutual attraction, once they got together it was like explosions and fireworks. Brooke seemed to need more supportive people in her life. The tragedy she experienced was devastating but the people around her didn't seem to be all that helpful. Logan has a hard core hero complex that seemed to lead him to being short sighted when it comes to taking a more active role in the business side of his family's foundation. I loved that these two really supported each other and the goals that they had. I definitely will be adding books one and two to my TBR!
*This is my voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy*
Giving it All by Christi Barth.....I absolutely loved this page turning book, it is so well written and pulls you in. The story between Logan and Brooke was fun to watch unfold. These two went tho high school together, you will be pulling for them. This is my first book by Christi Barth and she has gained a new reader. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.
Christi Barth’s smoking-hot contemporary romance series continues as the five best friends who survived a tragedy as teenagers take to their Naked Men podcast to open up about women. In Giving It All, the group’s globe-trotting hunk discovers that you need to go home to find love.
Logan Marsh never stays in one place for long. Through his family’s foundation, Logan spends his days traveling to the world’s most dangerous places to deliver disaster relief, which really puts a damper on his sex life—until he reconnects with his high-school crush. Stranded together in the Caribbean, they enjoy a steamy fling that awakens feelings Logan has ignored for too long. But family drama calls him away from her sweet embrace . . . or so he thinks.
Brooke Gallagher loved being a home economics teacher and cheerleading coach. Then an unexpected tragedy forced her to take some time off. Now she’s back in D.C. and despite the intensity of her tropical encounter with Logan, she’s shocked to bump into him again. Logan’s dealing with his own issues (including a newly discovered half-sister) and he’s itching to get back on the road. More than anything, Brooke wants to be there for him. But first, he has to decide if love is enough to keep him in one place.
I want to just say I love this series soooooo much that I want to be in it Christi Barth. Seriously, name one of your characters Janeen and have her work in Mental Health!!! This was the greatest book that I read out of the 4 I had this weekend. You made me laugh, cry and want to throw the kindle at the wall because Logan was acting like an oaf! I wanted to be Brooke's best friend, best friend. If that makes sense.
I have an affinity for the Naked Guys as I call them. Each one is different but they each have their strengths and weaknesses. I love them all. In my head, I was singing "Another one bites the Dust" and I loved that it wasn't instalove. These two had known each other a long time.
I felt incredibly sorry for Brooke and her situation. It broke my heart because anyone that has been close to someone who has committed suicide knows it's a resounding gong that ripples through not just one life but the lives of many other people. I think this book tackled many subjects that many authors might not tackle and that to me was one of the highlights. She wasn't afraid to tackle the taboo. Was this a book that had sex in it? Yes, but it wasn't the central theme and I liked that!!! It kind of took back seat to the real root of the issues of the book!!
Logan is wonderful hero who has flaws, beautiful, relatable flaws. Brooke is a woman who has been left or abandoned by every man she's ever dated for one reason or another. She's smart, dependable, she's not a whiner, she doesn't complain. She's strong and self-reliant. I just liked her. She meets Logan while she's vacationing to get away from tragedy and he's trying to get back to the US to meet a half-sister he's never met. They have one steamy night and it's on...like he can't seem to shake her and she can't shake him. He can't seem to say the right things because lets face it....guys don't and she takes it the way he says it. What I liked here is that the writer didn't prolong the misunderstanding for chapters! I hate when authors do that for angst. It just irritates the reader to some extent. She gave the reader some angst and then pulled back for some steam. Brooke didn't take any junk and I liked that. She held her ground and folded when she needed to fold. Logan held his ground and did the same. It was real to life. Not all this "it was so fake, I can't read that bull." Loved it!!!
Author's Writing- A++++
Plot of Story - A+
Character Development - A+++
Language - B (Has Cussing that isn't suitable for anyone under 18)
Sexually Explicit Scenes - A (Again, not suitable for anyone under 18)
This is definitely a book that I will be recommending to everyone I know!! I have loved all of this author's books and this is no exception. She is talented and knows how to tell a story from start to finish without it getting bogged down in details that don't really matter or angst. Kudos and will be reading all the others that follow!!
I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on Netgalley for a honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.
I've been following the adventures of the five former ACS boys or the "Naked Men" as they are now known thanks to their famous blog, since the first book of the series. And let me tell you that I truly love these men. Not only them individually, but them as a group. Their friendship, honesty towards one another and their relationship and interaction. They are really the kind of men that you would not only like to go out with, but also the kind of men that would be fun to hang out with. We kept on hearing about the infamous Logan Marsh, but due to his mission to save the world and bring relief to those in need, he was always away on some far off corner of the world. But when we got to meet his secret half sister in the previous book of the series, we knew that we would be meeting him soon.
Logan was the one who saved his four friends when they were injured and lost in the Alps after a bus accident. He was the only one who kept on searching for them, not willing to give up. I guess you can say that being a hero comes naturally to him, it's almost like it's his life mission to save people. That's why he never intends to settle down and attach himself to someone. Knowing that the next disaster that is going to take him to a remote location is just around the corner, he is unwilling to put someone in that position of waiting for him and depending on his. But when a hurricane prevents him from returning home and he is left stranded on a tropical island, he finds himself face to face with his crush from highschool. The girl who he was close friends with, but with whom he just couldn't take the next step with fearing that he would lose her friendship. Well, it just seems that fate has taken matters into her own hands and has given these two friends a second chance.
Brooke Gallagher has always fantasized about being with Logan. But they just never could get together. Now many years later, she is a teacher and a cheerleading coach at their former school and in desperate need to get away from it all when a beloved student of hers commits suicide and she is left feeling guilty for not being able to help her. All she wants is to empty her mind and not think about the tragedy. Little does she know that she would run into the one man that could take her mind off everything and make her fantasies come true in the process.
Another hit from Christi Barth and the Naked Men. I really love all the characters in the series and am glad that we got to catch up with all of them. I believe that Ry is the next Naked Man that will find his match. Can't wait!!!
This is a great book; this is the third book in the Naked Men series written by Christi Barth. Logan Marsh never stays in one place for long. Through his family’s foundation, Logan spends his days traveling to the world’s most dangerous places to deliver disaster relief, which really puts a damper on his sex life until he reconnects with his high-school crush. Stranded together in the Caribbean, they enjoy a steamy fling that awakens feelings Logan has ignored for too long. Brooke Gallagher loved being a home economics teacher and cheerleading coach. Then an unexpected tragedy forced her to take some time off. Now she’s back in D.C. and despite the intensity of her tropical encounter with Logan, she’s shocked to bump into him again. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Giving it all is the third book in the Naked Men series and although the series name may seem shallow and flighty if you have read any of the other books, you know this series is anything but shallow. If you haven't read any of the others, this is a perfectly good standalone. Christi Barth mixes humor, love, sarcasm, intelligence and wit together and gives us characters we can care about. I don't really want to even give away the premise, but will say it is about a group of guys, who bonded years ago over a traumatic incident, and have stayed tight for many years. They each have their issues, often relating to that incident, and in this particular story, it has a unique presence over the relationship he tries to have. Because I have read and reviewed each of these books, I have to say the storyline gets stronger with each book. I enjoy Ms. Barth's writing style and have truly enjoyed each of these stories. So glad we have more to come. Thanks as always to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book for an honest review!
I’m always happy to dive back into the Naked Men. Logan is the fifth ACS and has managed to remain a mystery so far, however real life is calling. He quickly made his way to being my favorite of the Naked Men and he and Brooke are no question my favorite couple so far.
Oh Logan, my poor sweet misguided Logan. Logan is dead set on making a difference that he is completely unable to see that he can make a difference and be valuable right in his own life. Brooke is also slightly lost and unsure of her own path. I loved her for Logan. She’s tough when she has to be and tells it to him like it is.
I loved this sweet and natural chemistry that they have with each other. Logan and Brooke were friends in high school and are reunited while both stranded in the Caribbean. I loved them right away and only fell more and more in love as the book flows and they navigate their relationship and their professional lives as well. They both have some serious choices to make and I loved watching them rely on each other and work with each other to reach their end goals.
I can’t wait to see what Josh and Riley have in store!! While the book can be read as a standalone and does a really good job of providing the back story, you will definitely want to meet the other Naked Men!!
Final Score - 4.5 Stars!
I have to admit ... once again the story took me some time to get into. It was slow paced for me, which isn't bad, but it was just filled with too much.
Logan's story is a bit heartbreaking, but totally relateable, as is Brooke's. He's been gone on a mission and now he's headed back home, ready to meet his newly discovered half sister. A hurricane forces his plane down and an unexpected delay he finds himself face to face with the beautiful Brooke. Brooke is escaping from her life after a tragic event occurred. So, she's off an sabbatical of sorts, to decompress and find her happy again, when she bumps into her old friend from high school, Logan.
Of course, they have an incredibly steamy fling, but both agree that it can be nothing more than that. However, fate has different ideas though and before they've reconnected yet again. Now, away from the island and back to their real lives, Brooke may just want more than fling with him but Logan staying in one place is unlikely.
I loved the chemistry between Logan and Brooke! It was always there from their first meeting ... back in High School - to their reintroduction on the island! However, they were just good friend back then, with a chemistry they both ignore. I just wished things progressed a bit quicker in the revealing of their feelings - these two took forever to get on the same page. The road to true happiness is never smooth, of course their were bumps in the road, but in the end... MAGIC.
Each of these books can be read standalone and are such a fantastic read - YOU MUST READ THEM ALL! The characters are all well written and the defining storyline of the books - the event from the Naked Men's high school trip - carry over from book to book. You don't want to miss out on this one - it needs to be on everyone's #mustread list. I highly recommend it.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.
First & foremost, I want to say that I LOVE this series! I no more finish the current book and I'm eagerly anticipating the next. With that being said, Giving it All was not my favorite. It had all the characteristics of the prior books in the series....a great story, wonderful editing, excellent dialogue and I enjoyed reading about all the others and learning more about them. But....Logan... he confused me. The whole time I was reading, I felt Brooke's confusion. Are we or aren't we in a relationship????
Maybe it's a stupid thing, but it drove me a little bit nuts. That still won't deter me from reading the next book. In fact, it's marked on my calendar!
I was so super excited when I heard that the third book in this series was being published, as I had read the first two and loved them. The second book, Wanting it all, did not really end easy but with a dark cloud over Logan, on the other side of the world at some disaster zone, reeling at the thought of having gained a grown up sister and worse still one of his best friends was sleeping with her. This is Logan's story and boy from the start you know it is going to get passionate and emotional on so many levels.
To say that these five blokes are a pretty amazing group is far from doing them justice. They are all wealthy, definitely easy on the eye and very reliant on each other. And of course they all live together (although Logan is away a lot saving lives when a disaster occurs). In this book more is revealed of the tragedy that bonded them in college, when they were mere 16 and 17 year olds this all goes to understanding how they tick even more.
When Logan bumps into an old college friend, Brooke, while travelling home to confront his 'so called sister' and best mate, an Hurricane halts them in their tracks and brings them somewhat closer to what they were all those years ago. Both have decided that they do not want any commitment and go their separate ways. But fate isn't done with them yet!
Christi Barth delivers yet again a brilliant love story where another of this special group of men has to face whether he can learn to forgive himself, live, love and feel without guilt. I really enjoy the interaction and banter this group of men have, especially when doing the Naked Men Pod Cast. It is like these men have not been able to thaw out from that time they were in the Italian Alps until they meet the right girl, then they melt.
I wish to thank Loveswept for inviting me to read this book through Netgalley. Yet again it has been a huge pleasure.
4 1/2 STARS!
If you haven't tried A Naked Men Novel yet, you are missing out on a seriously fun bromance! A group of five high school friends, bonded forever by a tragedy as teens ... now living the good life while enjoying the continued success of their Naked Men blog turned podcast. No matter how much they resist, one by one they are falling into their happily-ever-afters ... and with the third book in the series, we get Logan's story! Great characters, sexy connections and a genuinely fun time!
An experience as a teen drove Logan Marsh to become the man he is today. He lives for the moment because he never knows when he will be off on his next life-saving mission at the next great disaster! He rarely finds time to be home with his pals, but he does a lot of great work with his family's foundation for disaster relief all over the world!
Brooke Gallagher has recently suffered a life-changing experience and needs some time to simply find herself again. Imagine her surprise when she runs into her old high school crush on a Caribbean island! What better way to ring in a new chapter in her life than to have a sexy vacation fling!
When Brooke and Logan wind up back home in Washington, DC at the same time after leaving their secret getaway, will they be able to find a way to make a relationship work or will Logan decide that love isn't worth more than his work?
This is the first book of Ms. Barth's that I have read and I liked it. I liked how despite this being book three in the series, I did not feel lost for not having read the first two books. I liked the strong bonds that the characters have with each other and that even through there was a background given it does not mean that I will not have to read the first two books in order to know it. The characters Logan and Brook were developed and I liked how the story was mainly told from Logan's POV, Brook had her time narrating as well. The plot moved along and kept me interested. I would recommend this book to others.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via NetGalley.
Absolutely awesome contemporary romance. Ms. Barth draws the reader into the story from the very first page and keeps it until the last one. She was able to describe, using words, a picture of a teenager struggling not to give up on finding his best friends who are dying or already dead. Logan refuses to give up no matter what happens to him. Brooke, who is now a teacher, had a crush on Logan in high school yet despite it they were best friends that hadn't seen one another for years. Her presence seems to calm the man he now is. They are both grown and his lives work is saving those in disaster rescue & recovery. Logan can't wait to be on his next mission to save a few here and there. There are life's stresses, harsh and dangerous places as well as dealing with new personal issues. I received a complementary copy of this book via NetGalley and chose to write a review. I very much look forward to reading future books by this author.
I really wish the Naked Men podcast was a real thing. These guys are fantastic. Logan was an interesting guy from the beginning of the series, and I loved watching him and Brooke circle around each other.
