A memoir about the author’s experience traveling to the Falklands, a sparsely populated cluster of islands in the South Atlantic, to write a novel. Her experience dealing with the isolation, island quirks and writer’s block is interspersed with chapters of her novel-in-transition, random short stories, and experiences from her past. It’s mostly navel-gazing but at least it is interesting navel-gazing.
