a wonderful YA book with a great story that stands out. Enjoyable read and can't wait to share it with other readers.

"Zenn Diagram" By Wendy Brant is a surprising, creative, endearing and compelling novel. I really enjoyed this unusual premise of Eva's special ability, as well as the way the plot just continued to become more loaded and complex. To top it all off, it had a wonderful ending as well. Thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for the review copy. All opinions are my own.

This was a cute and quick read. The idea of a character being able to touch something or someone and get info about them through that isn't unique, but it was explained in a unique way--even if it was sometimes a bit over-explained.

Despite my enjoyment of Zenn Diagram, I'm not a big fan of books that have religion as a strong presence in the storyline, but I DID like that the protagonist had her own opinion and questioned everything, while still practicing some of her core beliefs.

My other issue was that though this story is sometimes fun and intriguing, it's also a little forgettable--I think that's a big part of why I'm not giving it a higher rating.

Eva, the protagonist, is also a very complex character that wasn't given much of a chance to grow. It feels like all of her problems are easily solved, or she brings them onto herself. An example of this would be the ending of the book. The ending was a little messy and too quick of a fix. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the slight hypocrisy and quick fix.

But don't get me wrong, despite my issues with this book, I still enjoyed it for the most part. I loved the relationship between Eva and Zenn, and sometimes, I loved her relationship with her mom--though it too was realistically flawed.

Overall, this was a fun read and I enjoyed it for what it was.

This book was a delight. I read it forever ago, and forgot to review it. To be honest, I reread it, and certain parts just continued to surprise me and make me smile (and make me cry). I would recommend this book to anyone.

This book did not really grab me and I ended up DNF-ing it. Even though this book is contemporary it could have been more attention grabbing.

I was surprised by how much I loved this book. I'm not usually a fan of contemporary romance but the two characters were extremely interesting to me. I really enjoyed going on a journey with Zenn and Eva.

I kind of saw the plot twist coming, but surprisingly I wasn't bothered by it. It was done really well, and it was refreshing to see it all work out.

This book was really nice and sweet and I highly recommend it.

This is a lovely, contemporary young adult with a bit of a twist.

All the aspects of this book scream contemporary. The style, the characters, and the setting. But there is one small little detail that gives this story an interesting twist. Eva, our main character, sees visions of people's emotions by simply touching a person or any of their belongings.

Until one day, the handsome Zenn walks into her life, and she can't read him.
Eva feels pretty isolated because of her gifts, at an age where everyone is already isolated. Since Zenn is the first person she is able to touch, as we expect, there is romance in the air.
There are some seriously cute romantic moments that just melted my heart.

Then we get the plot twist that threatens to tear them apart. I am usually pretty good at predicting what will happen in books. Even though we got hints throughout the book, I was still shocked at the revelation. It was a brilliant twist that caught me by surprise.

The story was slow-paced but picked up towards the middle of the book. Both characters have complicated pasts that still affect them. I adore the sub-plots and the other aspects (other than the adorable romance). Eva's family is interesting and really added a fantastic dynamic to the plot. Eva also has a best friend, Charlotte, and their relationship varies throughout the story. This adds another aspect to Eva's life that really makes her an interesting and amazing character.

Overall this is a fun, cute and lovely read. There are some shocks, twists and turns that added texture to the plot and made the story all the more enjoyable.

I loved reading a chick lit book with a math nerd since I received my undergrad degree in math. I found the premise unique and the story kept my interest.

This was just okay for me. I am reading less and less contemporary and the type of contemporary I tend to rad is pretty hard hitting in terms of content. I did like the main character and the story held my interest. I wouldn't mind reading something else from this author in the future.

This was a decent read. It could have been a four star read for me but it is ultimately a three star read because the first half of the book was very slow paced. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Eva is a girl who can see fractals by touching a person or object, these fractals give clues to the life of the person and their problems.
(A fractal is a geometric object whose basic structure, fragmented or apparently irregular and it is repeated at different scales.)
This girl is a mathematical genius who gives tutoring and that's how she meets Zenn, a handsome and mysterious boy who, for some reason, does not give her fractals. Nothing.
Eva then feels immediately attracted by this strange coincidence and the closer they get, the more secrets come to light.

First of all, the premise seemed interesting to me so I decided to give it a try and ask for it from NetGalley (thanks).
At first, I got caught, it starts like any other teen novel: shy and intelligent girl meets a handsome and mysterious boy and obviously is attracted to him. The bizarre thing is that when he touches it he can not see anything, something that had never happened to her before.
Why?
It turns out that Eva has a complicated past, just like Zenn.
In the beginning, Eva's family was there a lot and that gave a good touch to the book, however, in the end, it almost does not come out and I do not feel that any of the problems are solved correctly.
It was so good, the story was something original with that youthful touch and had the potential to have an unexpected and interesting ending, but all we get is a sweet cliché and no closure to the main plot or the problem that should have been the priority of Eva.
In short, it is a short and sweet story of first teen love with a twist to add a bit of originality and more drama than necessary.
So it's okay, 3 stars to spend time.

The summary for Zenn Diagram had me wanting this book terribly. A little bit of magical realism mentioned, and helloooo, I'm all in. And I'm glad I came across it because I found it very enjoyable. Is it something new and original? Not really, it is the type of book that has been done time and again--two broken people find each other, fall for each other, and think it possible to fix each other as they come of age. BUT this one was refreshing in its cuteness and how Eva cannot touch someone without being struck with all kinds of feelings, vibes, memories, and etc. regarding the person she touches. So in a cursed empathic way, she shies from making contact with others. And there is a moral to learn from this story too, one that so many--from youth all the way to the tippy top elderly--still need to learn: grief isn't comparable, and negative life experiences are unique and different for everyone. (Deep slow exhale with that heavy topic.)

I highly recommend this for those of all ages. It is a great, fast read that packs a lot of emotion and important lessons into a single punch to your feels.

Not really my cup of tea. Definitely would have probably liked this more if I read this back when I was in high school.

Cute is the right word to describe the entire story of this book, in a good way! This is a story of these two meeting and falling in love. There were some cute and funny moments, like with the church's van that he painted, some awkward moments like when he met her family. I really enjoyed reading about their journey!

Cute! How utterly cute was this love story between two teens. Eva is an absolute doll in all her tutoring awkwardness. I went into the book not really knowing what to expect and so was surprised by the “sci-fi” part of it. It really added to the story and was a pleasant surprise. Even though there are some touching moments in the book, it is mostly light hearted and fun. I would for sure recommend this book and author!

I enjoyed reading this book! I wasn't sure what it was going to be, what with Eva's ability, but I really enjoyed going on this journey with Eva and Zenn! They both had scars, they both grew up without at least one biological parent. They also are both hard workers, and both pretty smart, and they were a really good couple!

This is a story of these two meeting and falling in love. There were some cute and funny moments, like with the church's van that he painted, some awkward moments like when he met her family. I really enjoyed reading about their journey!

The history that links them, that could tear them apart, yeah, it's personal for both of them. And we slowly get hints of what it is, but when it all comes out, it's still pretty shocking. Given that the reveal is only one sided, it does add complications until they both know. Yeah.

I really enjoyed that ending, with that article about the two of them, and what they were looking forward to in the future, and the story about the money that they'd both turned down, so the other could have it. Yeah. So sweet!

This book was really nice and sweet and I really enjoyed reading it!

IThe book had potential and I really thought I would like it. But I couldn’t connect with the characters or the story.

Aaaahhhh, you guys, Zenn Diagram is one of the cutest, sweetest books I've read in a long time. Funny, too.

This book is about Maths genius Eva Walker who falls in love with artist Zenn Bennet. The only problem is when she touches most things she gets a fractal (she can read people’s emotions).

There was a number of moments that you could call cliché, Zenn was basically a walking cliché. However the characters were nice enough, they had a it of depth with their problems and relationships.

A cute enough fluffy contemporary which I try to avoid but it was okay. Nothing special except the story line was pretty unique.
