There is nothing I love more than some sexy dragons and Drakon's Promise delivers them and then some! Darius and Sarah were great characters. This story was sexy and riveting and an amazing start to the Blood of the Drakon series. I enjoyed the fantastic world building and how fiercely drawn to one another the characters are.

Paranormal and love go so well together!
Let’s put total opposites, throw them into a life-threatening situation, throw in a lot of steamy chemistry and what do you get? Darius and Sarah’s story! He is a human/dragon and she is destined to be his…
Full of heat and deadly suspense, oh this read had it all along with a courtship like no other. Neither Darius nor Sarah expected to find love when she was running for her life, but find it they did. They blustered and protested as they dodged life-threatening enemies and literary grenades (I loved that wrench in the works!) but there was no running away from love…
I devoured this read in one sitting and, while these two have their HEA, there is a lot more to come. Dragons and single brothers? Yeah, I can’t wait!
I was delighted to find that Drakon's Promise was the start of a series becasue it was so good I cannot wait for more by this author. The two main characters were really well written and their story arc was well thought out and well written. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I am reviewing this book based on an ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.
I love seeing different authors' takes on fantasy creatures and DRAKON'S PROMISE shows us a world where half dragon half human shifters exist. Just hearing the little tastes of Darius's past and how his powers work and why made me want to read more books about this world before we got to the actual plot of this book. In DRAKON'S PROMISE we have a secret order of knights who want to kill all drakons. I feel like I've read about a secret dragon killing order of knights in another series. Knights and dragons typically go together in a lot of stories and myths so its a tried a true villain to have in this story. I liked how they slowly developed the Order of the Knights of the Dragon as an evil force to be reckoned with for Darius and Sarah to fight against.
Darius comes off as kind of grumpy at first but that's to be expected from a near immortal being. He came off as a bit too much of a domineering alpha but he does warm up a bit later in the book. His alphahole tendencies started to go away after more of his interactions with Sarah. I love Sarah. She is a librarian with a special gift that gets her caught up in the middle of the battle between the Order and drakons and leads her to meeting Darius. She is smart, resourceful and really demands to be treated like an equal by Darius right off the bat. They have such good banter and fit really well together as a couple.
DRAKON'S PROMISE is fast paced, fascinating, and fun. We meet a few of Darius' brothers in this book, who are different sorts of drakons (water, air, earth, etc.). We get glimpsed of their personalities and I am excited to see their stories unfold in this series.
