Casey Cox is still on the run. She's blown her cover, and will need to start again. Dylan is still looking for her, or is he?
I liked this book less than If I Run, when I'm honest. I felt a bit like the story was stretched out too much and it should have just been one book. Also, If I'm Found just follows the same story as If I'm Run. There's another case which Casey really feels she just has to solve even though at this point she knows she's not just a wanted criminal but also that her life is in immediate danger. Besides, I got the feeling this book was much more preachy than the previous one, and I never like it when something gets pushed at me.
It was still a quick read, with enough suspense to keep it going. But I was slightly disappointed.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Story Notes
Terri Blackstock’s newest crime series gives readers enough thrills and anticipation they won’t be able to set them down until they reach the end.
Wow! That’s what I said to myself when I finished reading the first book in Terri Blackstock’s newest series If I Run. And when I found this second book If I’m Found, I couldn’t get it on my available reads list fast enough. I have always enjoyed Ms. Blackstock’s style of writing in her past works, but this series just has something I’ve not read in her others – a palpable terror for the heroine and hero of the series, Casey Cox and Dylan Roberts. By using an alternating first person style of writing, readers are drawn in to the plot very quickly and effectively. And the action passages are quick paced with enough anxiety to make the almost capture scenes extremely real for all readers. If I’m Found is the second book in the If I Run series and finds Casey back on the road after having helped a girl escape people who held her captive for 2 years. She is still running from the Shreveport detectives who want to see her dead but has found a new ally in Dylan Roberts, the PI hired to find her. After finding more and more evidence that the detectives in charge of Casey’s case are dirty cops who murder anyone who talks about their dealings, Dylan is convinced Casey is innocent of the killing with which she’s been charged. But he knows he can’t tip his hand just yet or they’ll never be convicted of all their crimes. So he sets to work compiling all the evidence others have gathered in the past, seeking a verifiable trail of their extortion, money laundering and murders that will ensure all those involved will never again see the outside of a jail cell. The hearsay evidence he already found is not enough to bring formal charges so Dylan and Casey will have to find concrete evidence to prove the truth they already know. The question is whether they can gather enough evidence before the detectives find Casey? Ms. Blackstock has created such real characters that I was completely engaged in their story the entirety of the book. I stayed up way too late the night I got this book to read it to the end because I HAD TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! I often found myself gasping and holding my breath over whether Casey would escape and felt ridiculous amounts of relief when she did. And Casey’s desperate search for peace and a belief in God is written in such a heartfelt and meaningful way as to make me almost begin to pray for this fictional character’s salvation. She has never had a real reason for faith before but has seen the hand of God throughout her weeks of hiding and knows that He cares what happens to her. Ms. Blackstock has Dylan further confirm her slow growing faith as he reminds her that God is using her to bring justice for her father, her friend and two others whose lives were lost in this battle against evil men. Dylan’s faith is challenged as well throughout the book as he tries to understand the immense testing God seems to be putting both of them through. But he is learning that testing proves to be purifying and they will be stronger on the other side of their battles. And to see a new, tenuous love begin to blossom between Dylan and Casey is such a great sub-plot to this story. Reader’s hearts will break along with Casey and Dylan’s as they see that any chance at relationship is completely dependent on whether Casey’s innocence can be proven in time. The final installment of this series comes out early 2018 and I almost cannot wait to see what Ms. Blackstock has in store for Casey and Dylan. I will most definitely add copies to my shelves and recommend them to my friends and family.

Casey is still on the run, knowing that the men responsible for her father's and best friends deaths are still searching for her. She also knows Dylan is looking for her but she is beginning to believe he may just be on her side after all.
Casey finds herself a new place to settle at least for a bit. She finds a place to live as well as a new job.
She is trying to lay low, but cannot help but to get involved when she finds a mysterious suicide letter that just happens to belong to her new boss. Soon Casey finds herself investigating not only a lead on her case but trying to prove her bosses innocence as well as save a child. She knows it is dangerous to get involved but she cannot just sit by and do nothing.
Dylan knows Casey is telling the truth and even thought he is suppose to be looking for her he is really looking for more evidence against the dirty cops who are framing Casey. Can Dylan help save Casey and protect her against those who want her out of the way?
This book was a much faster read for me then the first one. I could not put this one down, the mystery of both Casey's case and the abused child were so griping. I liked Dylan in the first book but in this one he really comes into his own. Casey is smart and strong and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.
In the new novel IF I'M FOUND, Terri Blackstock continues the suspense-filled tale of
Casey Cox who has been wrongly accused of killing a newspaper reporter investigating her father's suicide years earlier. Book one, IF I RUN has Casey on the run as both a Shreveport police detective and a private investigator, Dylan Roberts rush to find her. Casey settles into a new identity but her need to help a child in danger blows her cover and the first book ends with Casey on the run again.
But as that book ends, it is clear that Dylan now has doubts about her guilt and he is beginning to look into possible fraud in the police department.
As the second book IF I'M FOUND opens, Casey secures a new identity, but rather than hiding out in a safe location, she begins to search for information that will identify just who is "dirty" in the Shreveport police department. The book follows a very similar pattern to book one. Casey cannot focus on just keeping safe; she gets involved in the lives of the new people she meets, and her need to do right by them leads to new danger for herself. Dylan continues to believe in her innocence and tries to keep a barrier between her and the police department, all the while keeping up the pretense that he is looking to find and capture her. The story line that Dylan suffers from PTSD continues in this book and adds a layer of realism to a story that at times seems like an entertaining rerun of THE FUGITIVE. There is a building relationship between Dylan and Casey, but the danger they face takes precedence, something I appreciate. For me, sudden romances between two people thrust together in times of danger often seem too contrived. I've always enjoyed Terri Blackstock's writing and this series is a break from her typical crime fighting series. A third book will be following soon, and hopefully, Casey will be vindicated and the villains will be caught. I received a copy from NetGalley and all opinions are mine. (I also submitted a review to Barnes and Noble; it is not posted yet so I cannot give an accurate link).
Wow! I am so impressed with this series. I read book 1 and book 2 back to back and wish I could follow it with book 3. I love that it's written in first person because it really gets the reader up close, as if we too are running from crooked cops, trying to find enough evidence to convict them and evade them at the same time. Some heart pumping moments but I really am enjoying watching Casey discover and unfold the Truth...to find he light in the darkness, the hope in the hopeless. Will be highly anticipating book 3!
Accused of murdering her journalist friend, Casey Cox is on the run again, pursued by the private investigator hired to find her, and by the crooked cops who set her up. As with If I Run, we follow along as she attempts to prove her innocence. This time, she heads to Dallas to follow a lead, but again gets caught up in the lives of the people she meets.
Meanwhile, she is being chased by crooked cops who want to pin the murder on her, and a straight-talking PI who knows she’s innocent, but hasn’t worked out how to prove it … or who he can trust. If I’m Found is a well-written fast-paced action-packed read. If you read and enjoyed If I Run, or enjoy thriller and suspense novels, then I absolutely recommend If I’m Found.
But don’t read If I’m Found if you haven’t read the first book in the series, If I Run, because If I’m Found follows straight on from the end of If I Run and you’ll want to read them in order.
Don’t read If I’m Found if you don’t like books written in first person, because If I’m Found is written in first person from three different points of view. That will annoy some readers.
Don’t read If I’m Found if you prefer light romances where the hero and heroine experience only first-world middle-class conflicts and problems, like broken fingernails and not being able to connect to wifi. Casey has serious will-she-live problems.
Don’t read If I’m found if you want a story with a definite end. If I’m Found is the second book in the series, and who ever heard of a series with just two books? Yes, this book has a definite plot with a definite end, but it’s also part of a longer series with an overall plot arc that this novel contributes towards but doesn’t finish.
And don’t read If I’m Found if you’ve just paid for a manicure. Because this will ruin your manicure.
Warning: If I’m Found has some adult situations … well, what should be adult situations except the victim is a small child. Nothing is spelled out, but it still managed to get my heart pumping with anger, and I could absolutely understand why Casey chose to put herself in another potentially compromising situation.
A must for thriller fans!

If I'm found is a fantastic sequel by Terri Blackstock! I love the characters of Casey and Dylan and can't wait to see read book 3!
I'm enjoying this series, and am anxious to know what will happen to the main character, Casey. The storylines have kept me interested and wondering what will be next.
In this second book of the series, Casey is still running and hiding after being falsely accused of her friend's murder. Dylan, a former military investigator, has been hired as a PI by the police department to find Casey, but he has been convinced of her innocence and is secretly trying to clear her name. The police officers who actually committed the murder are searching for Casey so that they can get rid of her before she causes them more trouble. Casey inadvertently becomes involved in a situation where a vice principal of a school is accused of molesting a student. She soon clues in on what has actually happened and she is determined to make things right. Things don't go as she has hoped, and soon she is in the midst of another situation that puts her in even more danger.
I really enjoyed this book, but was a little disappointed by one aspect. [After Casey saved the kidnap victim in the last book, I really thought she would be able to rescue Cole from his bad situation. I was so sad when he was killed instead. That makes me a little afraid of how Casey's own situation will turn out. (hide spoiler)]I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen next, and I am really rooting for all to turn out well for both Casey and Dylan. I want to see the bad police offers get their due! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of the book in return for an honest review.
n this follow up of If I Run, Casey Cox, finds herself in another cheap, run down motel room where she discovers a worn Bible with a letter folded between it's pages. She is determined to find the owner to return it but finds much more than she anticipated. With her new identity, she quickly finds a job and place to live. She encounters many tough decisions and struggles with her strong sense of justice. The author tells her stories through alternating viewpoints of Casey and Dylan, the private eye, that has been contracted to find Casey and bring her back to Louisiana to face justice. But as Dylan soon discovers that Casey is probably innocent, he tries to help Casey stay alive until they can collect enough evidence to bring real justice. The novels are fresh, clean, and perfect for young adults. They are intriguing as well as inspiring. I fell in love with the characters starting with the first novel, If I Run. And the author has continued to stun me with the plot twists. A beautiful series.
After reading the blurb for this, I thought it was going to be a really good read and I was right; I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Casey is on the run fleeing from prosecution for a murder she didn't commit. It is quite a tense read at times, but Casey is extremely clever and always seems to be a few steps ahead of the police. I love Casey; she has a natural caring side to her and doesn't like to see bad and unfair things happen to innocent people. So when she comes across a Bible and sees a suicide note written in it, she feels the need to locate its owner. In doing so she can't help but get involved and try to seek justice for those who have been wronged. Even though she is in extreme danger of getting caught she just can't let it go.
Dylan has been hired to find Casey and work along with the police, it doesn't take him long to realise that Casey is not the real murderer, she has been well and truly set up.
Can he get to Casey before the corrupt police do? Will Casey trust him or does she think it is a trap to get to her? My emotions were teetering on the edge at times when they got close to her. I was praying they didn't find her.
This is a new author to me and I know perhaps I should have read book one first but to be honest it was written so well I didn't have to, I just fell straight into the story and stayed until I finished it. I can't wait for book three as it's not over for Casey ye,t she still has a lot of evidence to find. I will be definitely one clicking the next book, and won't hesitate to read anything by this author in the future.
If I'm Found
Book 2 (out of 3) in the If I Run series by Terri Blackstock
Zondervan Fiction
Christian , Mystery & Thrillers
Pub Date 21 Mar 2017
"Christian Fiction" is too often a synonym for "not well-written." This series runs counter to that truism, and I am adding the series to my libraries confident that readers will be satisfied.
What's different about this book
There is genuine suspense, and excellent characterization. As a reader, I found the protagonists to be sympathetic and compelling.
The story line that wobbled a bit in the first book grows stronger in the second, and the momentum builds as the characters engage with each other, those around them, and in the settings where they are found.
Issues of PTSD, broken families, and true crime are handled skillfully and add to the engagement of the reader with the story line. I dislike having to wait for a third release to learn the resolution of high-tension conflicts, but the author has sold me on the need for a third book to fully develop the story. I'll hang in for one more in the series.
What I'll do now that I've read it
I struggle to find compelling Christian fiction for my library patrons. This series, and in particular, this second book, offer much to enjoy: suspense, conflict, romance, and realistic spiritual doubt as a part of the character development. I'm happy to have this series as an additional resource to offer.

I received this book from NetGalley and Zondervan for my honest review. This is the second book in the series and I have read the first one "If I Run". I loved the first book and I really loved this second book. I want more! The story is about Casey Cox who is on the run and Dylan the PI who is trying to find her. Fast paced, easy read, exciting, action packed, amazing, suspenseful! I highly recommend this book.
I read my first Terri Blackstock novel when I picked up If I Run. And honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book so quickly! It was intense and suspenseful and I just had to know what happened next. That book ended with a cliffhanger, and I’ve been anxious for If I’m Found ever sense.
If I’m found continues Casey story. Full of tension, this book is, as I expected, a page-turner. And I loved it! As Casey tries to stay away from those who are after her, she is caught between keeping safe and what is ultimately right. That struggle really brings this story to life and what, in my opinion, makes it such a fantastic read.
Needless to say, I’m already anxious for the third book in this series and can hardly wait for its release. If you are looking for a book that may just keep you up a bit later than you should, this is certainly worth checking out… but be sure to read them in order!
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.**
I thought this book would have been better but it wasn't. In the first book Casey is being accused of murdering her best friend and she is on the run, this book is just a continuation of that premise. Casey is a whiny woman who seems to stumble upon other absolute horrible things going on in peoples lives and tries to fix them even though she is on the run herself. Dillon's piece in this was much better than the first one but there just seemed to be no connection to any of the characters again and then to find out that there is another cliffhanger for a 3rd book so there is no resolution was it for me.
Casey is still wanted for murder and is running for her life. She has one person who is constantly on her trail and she is starting to wonder if he is trying to capture her or help her. Casey knows that he let her escape before when he could have brought her in, but in a world where she is constantly being deceived, it is hard to trust. Although Casey is trying to find proof about the real murderers, she comes across a man who has been falsely accused of abusing a child, he has lost his job and she knows he has considered suicide in the past. Will Casey risk her own freedom to help this stranger? Is Dylan there to help her or to capture her?
If I’m Found is the second book in the If I Run series. This heart stopping adventure begins fast and doesn’t stop until you reach the last page. Blackstock has created a plot that is easy to fall into and readers will quickly find time getting away from them as the pages turn. This book does pick up soon after the conclusion of the first book, but readers can easily enjoy this story on its own. If I’m Found should be added to everyone’s TBR list if they enjoy adventure and suspense.
This is the second book in the series and I felt like it was even more intense than the first. I've been a fan of Terri Blackstock's writing for years and can't think of a book by her that I didn't like. Having said that I also have to say that this is some of her best writing. It's a work of fiction that left me wondering how I would survive in a similar situation.
IF I'M FOUND continues the plight of Casey and Dillon in their search for evidence. A passage involving child abuse may be difficult for some to read. Hard to believe that it will be a year before the final chapter of the series is released.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Earlier this month, I read the first book in the series, and was left wanting more. When I saw the second book in the series had been released, it immediately moved to the top of my "to read" list.
I would definitely suggest reading the first book before this one, as you will understand some of the characters more.
This is a well paced, suspenseful book, and I can't wait to read the next one!
This series has me hooked. I knew without a doubt that this book was going to be impossible to put down, and Blackstock didn’t disappoint. After reading the first book in the series titled If I Run I was literally dying for this book to come out. And surprise, surprise I am now dying for the next book. That being said, I believe that you will enjoy this book even if you haven’t read the first one. In the first book we meet Casey as she starts running for her life, and Dylan while he tries to find her. If I’m Found starts off with Casey still running, and hoping no one is able to find her.
Casey knows she must do everything in her power to never get caught. Running forever doesn’t sound fun, but when you consider being dead as the alternative she knows it’s a must. Hoping to collect evidence against the real killers while in hiding isn’t an easy task. Not only is it dangerous but it can also be a pretty lonely existence. When Casey notices injustices she has a hard time not helping those in need. Even if doing so puts her in even more danger it that’s possible. Dylan reaching out to her gives her hope, but she also knows not to trust too easily. Is Dylan really on her side? Can she find enough evidence to put the true criminals behind bars?
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Mystery and Suspense. I really enjoyed reading first person, and found it refreshing to see that point of view. I was kept on the edge of my seat and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I received a copy of this book from Zondervan in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.
What an incredible follow up book to If I Run! I cannot wait for the third book of the series. After all Casey and Dylan have been through in the two books, how will they expose the bad guys and bring justice to light? I have no idea how they can....which totally amps up the anticipation for the third book!
This second book has a slightly different focus from the first book. If I'm Found focuses more on who Casey is becoming, whereas If I Run focused more on who Casey was before she had to run. Casey has a faith journey is this book and she also finally finds a person she can trust and completely be herself around. Her spiritual and emotional journeys are wonderfully portrayed and I feel a bit more mature, too, for having traveled with Casey in her growth.
Dylan, as scarred as he is, takes on a leader, encourager, and protector role in this book. He forgets about himself and his troubles as he becomes more involved with Casey. And there is (finally!) a hint of romance blossoming.....and I'm sure the third book will delve more into that....I hope.
I found the interjection of the villain's voice in the storyline quite interesting as well. Since it's written in a first-person narrative, the villain's voice allowed the twists and turns in the plot to be presented in a natural way (because the protagonists can't be everywhere at the same time). It will be interesting to see if his voice comes up again in the sequel.
What a fast-paced, gripping-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense novel!
I was given a digital advance reader copy of this book from NetGalley via Zondervan. I was not required to give a favorable review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
