I love finding and reading books about little known or oft forgotten parts of history. And Omaha is not that far away from where I currently live which made this book even more intriguing. However, this book wasn't as exciting as I thought it was going to be or that it was touted to be. I did see the comparison to Charlie Portis in the writing, but Portis' writing is much smoother. With all that being said, I did enjoy the book and found Pat Crowe to be very much the antihero type.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

A fascinating and very flawed, not very likeable central character. Although the blurb makes him sound like Robin Hood, I didn't find him to be interested in helping anyone but himself. Very well written, I just wish I had actually liked the story more.
