This was a great continuation of the series, it really started connecting the dots and answering questions. I'm really glad that I am able to continue reading this series!

Well hello Shane and Emily! They're back and better than in book 1!
Hotter, thrilling this fast paced read starts where book 1 ends but the author reviews some pointers from the first book which made it easier to sink right in and enjoy book2!
In addition, we learn more about them.
More thrills, more excitement, some secrets are revealed, some questions answered and then some more mysteries...

Shane and Emily are back in this second book in the Dirty Money Series. Trying to get control of his dying fathers company, Shane Brandon has to fight his brother and his involvement with a drug cartel. In the mean time, Shane tries to do everything he can to protect Emily from the demons of her past that are controlled by her brother. This is a great series and does not have any connection to any another books by Lisa Renee Jones.

I liked the first book in this series but the more I got into the rest of it, the less interesting it became. I don't know if I will be finishing this.

I enjoyed this story. The romance was hot and the characters engaging. I didn't find anything particularly off putting or annoying like in some romantic suspense novels. Once again Lisa Renee Jones delivers.

Diving into book two of this series is like a whirlwind. I'm so glad we learn more about Emily's past yet it's not a good one. She's on the run like is basically hinted at in the first book however it is way more complicated. I can't get enough of her and Shane. He practically worships the ground she walks in and it's so sweet to see she is getting cherished. Even his cold, calculating mother can see they are a match made in Heaven. Shane's family takes a giant step up in the crazy department more so than before. I mean you know his brother is doing whatever it takes to make sure he has complete run of the company but he literally takes a step too far. There's blood and not so subtle violence around every corner. Emily has to watch her back while keeping her guard up or she could be next. It's an easy to get lost in second book in the series and I'm literally dying for more!

There is a reason all books by Lisa Renee Jones are an automatic One-click for me. We get to pick back up Emily's and Shane's story in Damage Control. I love that it is full of twists and angst. Something Lisa writes extremely well.

The heroine and hero are a perfect for each other. But with both of their families drama and troubles closing in on them, how will things. We see bonds form while others are discovered. How the all ties together in the end is anyone's guess but I am excited to read it. While the Main characters are amazing, Lisa Rene Jones has a talent for making one either love or hate the secondary characters. How this will go is anyone's guess but I will be rutting for the Emily and Shane.

Lisa Renee Jones id s goddess at what she does. This series is definitely worth the time and money.

DAMAGE CONTROL is the second book in the Dirty Money series. They must to be read in the order of release. If you have not yet read HARD RULES, stop now and read it first.

Our story begins seconds after Hard Rules ended – Thank God and LRJ! – and I was sucked right back in. The book is fast paced and there is a lot going on. Pay attention! We finally start getting answers to the bajillion questions left at the end of HARD RULES. But, remember, this is book two of four, so you’re not going to get all of the answers! This game of chess has only just begun.

The romance is hot. Scorching hot! It is also sweet, tender, and all-consuming. Emily and Shane are just so perfect together that I wonder if anything could tear them apart. Shane, who doesn’t let anyone see his softer side, has allowed Emily to see everything in him. That, my friends, is trust and love.

Another cliff-hanger…. That’s your warning. Lisa Renee Jones gets me every time! I’m trying to turn pages that don’t exist – except in the next book and that’s where I’m going!

It starts off from where first one left off. Emily ran away from Shane to protect him from her secret. (Big cliffhanger from the book 1) Emily thought she could move away from Shane but Shane couldn't let Emily go. So he uses all his resources to find her and he does.
Finally her secret is revealed.. (it was kinda felt flat)... Now Shane is dealing with Emily's secret and her brother. Now he knows her brother works for Geminis, one of the biggest hacking company and finds out Emily's past has some holes.
More family drama unfolds and Martina family shows up and it is more twisted than ever. More threats, more suspense, death. etc. Nobody can be trusted in his family and Shane and Emily is stronger than before.
This book went faster than the first one and it revealed more than first one.
I enjoyed reading this one and I am left with more questions than answers. I can't wait to read the next one..

I'm definitely digging where this series is headed. There is a nice blend of sex, mystery, and love; the makings of a really enjoyable book for me. Though the ARC has some grammatical errors, that is to be expected of an ARC and doesn't deter me from enjoying the bare bones of the story and the characters. On to book 3!

Loved this book. Another great easy read. Characters are flawless and likeable.

Anything Lisa writes is gold to me. I'm addicted to her words as much as I am to reading.

The story picks up where Hard Deeds ended, things just keep getting harder and harder for Shane and Emily. Emily’s past is catching up with her and she tries to escape it the only way she knows how. By running. It doesn’t work the way she wants and soon she’s right back in Shane’s arms. He says he’ll protect her, not just from her demons but his. His family and their corrupt dealings have just gotten worse though and Shane is fighting hard just to keep his feet on steady ground.
This is a fantastic 2nd part to a suspenseful, thrilling rollercoaster of a story, you need to keep your wits about you to keep up.

Because I haven't read the first two books in this installment as this books says I should. I'm giving this a one star with the understanding that after reading those and then reading this I will come back and redo my feedback and review in other sites.

Good book. 2nd of a series. Need to read it in order. I will wait for the last book to be published to read this one.

Damage Control - the Dirty Money series is picking up where it left off from Hard Rules and its even better.

Tensions escalate; secrets are revealed but more is on the way for Shane and Emily. The suspense will leave you on edge and demanding more.

Lisa Renee Jones is awesome at what she does and she proves it here with Damage Control. In book 2, this book continues where it last left off with Shane and Emily. Secrets are slowly unraveled and all the players are fleshed out and known. This is jam packed full of family drama, steamy romance, and mysterious backgrounds to slowly reveal danger that is slowly closing in on our main characters.
There is secrecy surrounding Emily and Shane is determined to get to the bottom of it. In fact, he plans to protect her from the danger she is most likely fleeing from. So strong is his belief in that although he may not know who she truly is, he knows she is not part of the family coup that backs his brother in the fight to win his father's company. But his advisors are not so sure and continue to investigate her. Is Emily the innocent she appears or is she out to screw Shane over royally? Just what kind of trouble is Emily involved in?
Lisa Renee Jones continues to weave an even deeper plot in book 2 with the people tied to Martina Drug Cartel and then Shane's Father, and even Shane's Mother with them ALL playing prominent roles in both the future of Shane's family's business and with the fate of Shane's and Emily's love. Then to add flames to an already toxic mix, Shane’s brother continues to evolve and cast questions which add to the mix.
This is one action packed and suspense laden book with a steamy romance layered on. I loved every moment and couldn’t believe the cliffhanger that I was left with. I cannot wait for Bad Deeds to answers the questions left with this phenomenal read.

After reading Hard Rules , I immediately started Damage Control , the ending of book 1 was a cliff hanger so I was very happy that I started this series when the first two books were out lol . We are once again following Emily and Shane and I just loved these two together! , In a lot of ways it felt like these two were becoming closer and I just love that , they really started sharing more each other and if it wasn't obvious in the last book there bond with each other is just so strong , the things that they are willing to do for each other, just showed how devoted these two are to each other ,Lisa Renee Jones has done such an excellent job with the romance in this book .Now that I have gushed about how amazing the romance is I wanted to now talk the other things that happened in this book omg! there was just so much .Shane is trying to get his family company out of bed with the Martina Cartel and through this we find out so much , I felt like in book 1 we got an introduction to everything however in book 2 we go beneath the surface and we got deeper and deeper into the web of deception and the race and game for power . I just loved every minute of it and I am so excited to jump into the 3rd book. If you read the first book in this series and you are wondering if you should read book 2 the answer is yes ,go get this book as soon as you can .
