TITUS RETURNS is the fifth book in the Wells Landing series by Amy Lillard. It is the story of Titus Lambert who has just been released from prison after serving five years. TITUS RETURNS is about Abbie learning to trust her heart and letting go of the past. Amy Lillard sure knows how to make the reader feel as if they are right there at the kitchen table with the family dealing with all their troubles. She made me sad, then the next moment I was smiling and giggling out loud! You can never go wrong with a Amy Lillard book if you are a fan of the Amish genre. All of her characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again. You will also wonder how much heartache a family can stand before it completely breaks down and splits.

I found myself thinking about Abbie and Titus long after I finished their story. I was totally invested in their lives and was cheering for them the whole time I was reading. Often, I was yelling at Abbie not to make the choices she was making and sometimes I was laughing out loud at the things she was saying. TITUS RETURNS is filled with love, forgiveness, letting go, and romance. I loved the interaction between Titus and Abbie’s father. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. Amy Lillard’s writing held me captive from the very first page until the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Wells Landing series.

TITUS RETURNS is a heart tugging story that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once I started this heartwarming story, it was very hard to put down! All of the Amish value their family time at the kitchen table. It is where they come together after a long, hard day of work. Is there a place at the table for Annie and Titus? TITUS RETURNS brought back many memories of my own family dinners at our kitchen table and I found myself smiling while reading. Will these two families ever overcome their grief of losing a loved one? I couldn’t wait to finish this wonderful story to see if Titus was able to find balance in his life or would he just keep running away while life passed him by. I’m so excited to continue with this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Kensington Books through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Amy Lillard takes her readers back to Wells Landing once gain with her latest release, Titus Returns. From the moment I read a sneak peek of this novel from More Than a Promise, I knew it was going to be outstanding. I was NOT disappointed!

Titus Lambert returns to Wells Landing after spending five years in prison for vehicular manslaughter. He’s kept to himself – and kept everyone (his friends, his family…his girlfriend) at bay – while on the inside. When Titus returns to Wells Landing, it’s a difficult reentry. Titus doesn’t know what to do with himself – should he even stay Amish? His family loves him…but how can they reach him? His now-married girlfriend has unresolved feelings for Titus…will she jump the fence with Titus? Then there are the families affected by his actions all those many years ago. Will he ever be fully forgiven?

I was given Titus Returns in exchange for my honest review. Although characters from other novels in the series are mentioned, Titus Returns can easily be read as a stand-alone. I found it to be a refreshing twist on the prodigal returns story. The characters were well thought-out and believable. I fell completely into step with Titus and felt every disappointment, every fear, and every victory along his journey. Well done, Amy Lillard. Titus Returns is a must-read!

This is Book 5 in the "Wells Landing" Series and as the rest of it, it is a great read! Titus returns home after serving 5 years in prison. The reason why he was in prison? He was driving the car in which two of his friends were killed and another was badly hurt. His main worries are how people will treat him once he gets back home after such a tragedy. He doesn't know if he will be able to stay or if the girl he was engaged will still be waiting for him. When he sees how one of the families destroyed by what happened five years ago are struggling after all that time ,he decides he needs to help them.

This book is about forgiveness, faith, love and redemption. Great read!

A Story of Love...Forgiveness...

Titus Lambert has just spent the last five years in prison, which is an unusual situation for a young man of his background. However, an unfortunate incident had landed him there. While in prison, Titus suffered through and experienced many things that were outside of his background of experience, and they had a major impact on him. Thus, upon his release, Titus is not sure exactly what he is going to do. He is constantly warring with himself, reliving the incident that changed his life, and pretty much beating himself up. He feels the punishment was his to take, and now, he’s not quite sure what his future will hold. One thing he does know is that he needs to do something to make amends with the Kings, family of his friend Alvin, who lost his life on that fateful day.

Shortly after his return to the community, Titus finds himself at the King farm. He notices how much work the farm needs and proceeds to help the family rebuild the farm. The Kings are appreciative of Titus’ help, well, all except for Abbie.

Abbie King can’t believe Titus has the nerve to come to her family’s home. He is, after all, the reason for their current situation. How can she possibly forget that and forgive him? As time goes on, and as Titus continues to help her family, Abbie finds herself not only forgiving Titus, but realizing he has captivated a very special place in her heart. At the same time, Titus makes a discovery of his own in that Abbie has made a way into his heart.

As Titus and Abbie’s relationship takes a turn, they each find themselves facing a variety of situations, including alcoholism, PTSD, depression, and much more. All of this combined makes Titus Returns a story of romance, a story of forgiveness, a story of overcoming obstacles, and a story of new beginnings and second chances.

Titus Returns is a great addition to Amy Lillard’s Well’s Landing Romance series. The stories are all based in Oklahoma, which is a rare setting for Amish romances. The series gives a glimpse into what life is like in that community which includes their use of tractors. Although Titus Returns is part of this series, there are no cliff hangers, and it can be read as a stand alone. However, I highly recommend reading the entire Wells Landing series as well as the rest of Amy Lillard’s books. You won’t be disappointed.

Amy Lillard brings us to a cozy Amish community in Wells Landing, OK with hope, forgiveness, and love. This story centers around Titus Lambert who went to prison for manslaughter via a car accident and his long love Mandy Yoder. This is a story of second chances not only for Titus but for everyone as they find forgiveness.

Amy writes with a lot of emotion and you cannot help but feel it also as Titus struggles with his feelings and how to deal with them. Her attention to detail when describing the Oklahoma landscape is breathtaking so much so you feel like you are there.

I truly enjoyed reading this emotional story by Amy and I felt it was her best one yet.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley in order to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

This book is about Titus Lambert. It is different from a lot of other Amish books. It is about a tragic auto accident and him spending time in prison. When he returns to Wells Landing after serving 5 years it is about forgiving himself and others forgiving him. It is a story of faith and learning to forgive and go on with life. Can not wait to read Marrying Jonah. .

Amy Lillard gives us, readers, a topic to read about that has not been covered the way she wrote "Titus Returns". Amy's detail to the story line is mesmerizing to the imagination.

Titus Lambert returns to his home town of Wells Landing, Oklahoma after being in prison for five years. He is still questioning God's plan as to why he is the only walking survivor and why did God want him to go to prison. What Titus does find in God's plan upon release is putting his guilt to use by helping one of the families he feels he has wronged.

Will Titus' Amish community have him back into the church as a member?
Can the Kings forgive Titus?

I received a free copy from NetGalley with the only request to write an honest review about the book. No money was exchanged. This is my review written in my own words.

Loved this fifth book in the series. This can be read as a stand alone or since these are all good you should read them all. This was a little different for an Amish story with Titus coming home after five years in prison. This was well written and a beautiful story. I really love all the characters. This treated depression and ptsd well. I received an ebook copy of this book from netgalley for a fair and honest opinion.
