This book is a book you have to read for sure when you are a amish book lover. All the books of Leslie Gould are so great.

The third book in the Neighbors of Lancaster county series is by far the best of all the books. I love reading the previous two but this book really brought things to light about learning from our mistakes and how forgiveness is not for us but for others too.
In this book Lila and Zane are planning on getting married but an unfortunate accident cause them to put off the wedding. Also the driver who caused the accident blamed Lila but after Reuben investigates the police relook at the the accident scene. Will they find out who caused it or not.
Rose and Reuben are getting close and she expected Reuben to ask to marry him. When Zane's friend Trevor shows up Rose gets to close to Trevor and eventually gets pregnant. Reuben needless to say is in shock and gives Rose her space. A month after the baby is born Trevor shows up. He tells Rose he hasn't drank or taking drugs in a long time but Rose discovers alcohol and Lila's pills in his glove box. During all this Reuben has taken to Rose's baby and can calm her. Will they resolve their differences and get married or will Reuben be alone. Please read this series. You will love it.

I received this book from Bethany House for free in exchange for an honest review.

I've always enjoyed a good family saga, and have also read several Amish books and this is right up there with the very best of both.
This story encompasses a more modern world than I'm used to reading when it comes to Amish .. possibly a better reflection of how their world merges with the Englisch one. The issues are both old and new world, and the author clearly demonstrates that it is possible for people of different outlooks to live together - a very valuable point in the current world climate.
This is a really good story, following lots of family members both close and distant and tying them all together very easily. I found myself quickly engrossed and desperate to know where each thread was leading and was pleasantly surprised at the outcomes.
Even though I hadn't read the first two books in the series, this was a complete read and one which I would heartily recommend to all those who enjoy a satisfying and heartwarming read. Leslie Gould will definitely be on my favourite authors list from now on!

Leslie Gould says she loves "writing about families, friendships, and other cultures". Amish Weddings, her third and final book in the Neighbors of Lancaster County series pulls together all three of these into one great book.

In Amish Weddings, Lila Lehman is getting ready to marry. Her sister Rose is hoping to start planning her own wedding. Very quickly plans change. The Lehman family and the Becks, their English neighbors, are given the chance to "love their neighbor" in more ways than one.

There are no dull moments in this novel. Leslie put a lot of characters into Amish Weddings. Their individual storylines are interesting and well written. I was surprised at the twists and turns I didn't see coming. One thing I got out of reading Amish Weddings is that when we veer off the path God has for us, there may be some bumps in the road. But when we get back to following God, He will intervene and get us going again, even if it is on a different path than what we started. In this whole series Leslie has brought two cultures together in an interesting way by having Amish and English interacting on a personal level. I recommend reading Amish Weddings, along with Amish Promises and Amish Sweethearts. I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

What a heart touching, love wrenching, adoring story. If you want to be captured up into such a love enduring story you reach out to this one. This is full of Amish culture, rules that we don't understand and they do and then they don't - and their hearts don't. This is a story of loves, wanted loves, loves that you want for them and will they ever come to pass and in the middle of the whole shebang is a great big gigantic loving GOD who takes the whole big mess and makes it a great big Glorious miracle. You will love this book so much when you see GOD move in the lives of those who don't even see it happening. Isn't that the way it is in our lives daily PRAISE JESUS Ya'll............

I haven't read the other books in this series so don't know all the back story. Perhaps that would have helped me enjoy this book more.I kept getting characters mixed up and didn't have it all straight as to who was amish or used to be amish and now wasn't or who was related and how they were related.
I did enjoythe message of forgiveness and choices and making the most of what ever life throws at you. The characters felt a little flat to me. Lila was a little too whiny and rude, patient Zane would have had a much harder time being pushed away and treated as poorly as he was. I liked Rose and Reuben's story best and thought their changes and growth were my favorite part of this book. As far as Amish stories go I thought it was alright.

Overall I enjoyed reading this novel. If you are a fan of Amish fiction I think that you will too. It has your typical Amish feel with a few extras that will remind you that Amish people are only human. They make mistakes too!

I was a little disappointed in the way Rueben's character acted. I felt he could have done more to show Rose that he really did love her. It was like he was just there and did not contribute a lot through the first three quarters of the book. Near the end I did warm up to his character and was happy he did what he did. I was just sorry it took so long for me to like him.

The character that struck me the most was Lila. After she had her accident I thought she was a little whiny. Luckily that didn't last long and I started to have compassion for her. She had been dealing with so much, in true Amish fashion with the help of her community. The relationship between her and Zane was spot on. It was so obvious they loved each other and my original distrust of Zane disappeared pretty quickly. I enjoyed learning about their history, especially Zane's military background. Who would of thought a military Englischer would want to become Amish! I thought this provided a fresh and surprising storyline.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Amish Weddings by Leslie Gould is the third book in Neighbors of Lancaster County series. Lila and Zane announce that they are going to be married in one month in October 2015. Rose Lehman (18), Lila’s sister, has been dating Rueben Byler and was hoping they would wed first. But then Lila is in a terrible buggy accident and suffers a broken pelvis, ruptured spleen, and bruised organs. Lila will be recovering from her injuries for months. Lila and Zane’s wedding is postponed, and Rose is enlisted to help with Lila’s care (Lila did not wish to enter a rehab facility). Tim Lehman, Rose and Lila’s father, is preoccupied with Beth Yoder, the local schoolteacher. Beth’s husband left the Amish and divorced her. The Amish, though, marry for life (they are in a holding pattern). While Tim is inattentive and Lila recuperating, Rose has an opportunity for a little exploration. Rose never took her rumspringa when she was sixteen. Trevor Anderson, an Army friend of Zane’s, comes to town and flirts with Rose. Rose is disgruntled with Rueben’s high standards and starts sneaking out to spend time with Tyler. Will Rose remember the teachings of the Amish church? While Lila is recovering, she begins to think about her birth father, Butch Wilson. Lila believes that Tim does not care for her the same way he does Rose and Trudy (his natural children). Lila begins a search for Butch Wilson much to her Daniel’s, her twin brother, dismay. Shani Beck goes above and beyond for the family during this time. But Rueben does not like the Beck family spending so much time with the Lehman’s. He feels that the Beck’s are a bad influence. It is going to be a rough couple of months for the Lehman’s, Beck’s, and Byler’s. Come join them in Amish Weddings to see how it all turns out.

I found Amish Weddings to be very well-written and an engaging novel. My attention was captured from the very beginning. While Amish Weddings is the third book in the series, you can read it alone (you will be confused at first though). I do, though, recommend reading the first two books in the Neighbors of Lancaster County series (they are very good). By reading the first two books, you will get to know the various characters (it will help you keep them all straight and see them grow up). Amish Weddings has a good pace, nice setting, and interesting characters. I give Amish Weddings 4.5 out of 5 stars. I knew that the one character was going down the wrong path (making very bad decisions), but I did like reading to see how the storyline would play out. The ending is expected, but I did find it pleasurable (it will make you smile). It was nice to see what happened to all the characters the readers have come to know and love through the series. There is quite a bit going on in Amish Weddings. I found it, though, easy to keep track of the characters and their storylines (I did not tell you about all the characters in the summary above). I am sad to see the series end, but I look forward to reading more books by Leslie Gould in the future.

This is the third and final book in this series, and from the first page to the last there is action of some kind going on in this family. We are brought up to date on the past two books, and I was happy to find out and get caught up on other family member’s lives. Now you might want to read the other two books, they are awesome and you may loose out, but this book can stand-alone.
Poor Reuben, he thought he was in love with Lila, and now she is with Zane, and now he thinks he is in a relationship with Rose, but Rose is being fickle, but he can also be blamed on indecision.
I loved the babies that are brought into this story, and of course, the family is growing, and we do find new ones. Then there is Beth and Tim, what can ever be with these two? You will be page turning to get to the end and find out all the answers. Now Trevor, I had him pegged, but maybe you will have a different perspective on him.
Zane seems to want to be Amish, and he does love Lila, but can he give up the English desire for justice? Yes this one will keep you up late waiting for answers. I for one would love more, but this is the end of the series.
I received this book through Net Galley, and the publisher Bethany House, and was not required to give a positive review.

This was book 3 of an Amish Series called Neighbors of Lancaster County by Leslie Gould. I had previously read book 2, Amish Sweethearts. So I quickly spotted characters from the previous book appear and take part in this engaging story. Although part of a series, I felt that even had I not read the previous book, this book could have clearly stood alone.

I was immediately drawn in and read constantly. One of those books you can't put down. I read it clear through till done. I had to find out what happened. It was a really engaging story and the people you meet are definitely ones that were interesting and had their own unique personalities.

The story showed imperfections and trials in the lives of these Amish people, not always perfect, but trying and sometimes needing to repent of mistakes they made. It was realistic and I liked that about the book very much.

I received an ebook copy of this book for my honest review.

This is a perfect conclusion to this series. All the bits and pieces come together throughout. This series was very different from other Amish novels that I've read in that the Amish and their English neighbor's lives were intertwined. Very enjoyable!
