This is a touching story about a mother coming to terms with her son's surprising past-live memories. I thought Byrd did a good job of balancing her desire to be a supportive mother and believe her son with her initial feelings that such claims were at odds with her Christian faith. This is her story more than Christian's: how she came to her own conclusions about their experiences and what all of it ultimately taught her about the meaning of life. There are parts that seemed unnecessarily detailed (different events they went to and who they met, etc.) but overall it's an engaging read.

I've always wondered about situations like this. What exactly is going on? Do I believe it? Not believe it? I confess I'm still not sure, but it's so intriguing. Very interesting read.
