I wasn't sure what to expect from His Lordship's Wild Highland Bride, by: Kathleen Bittner Roth since I havent read any of her books previously, but I was not disappointed! I read this novel in record time and I enjoyed every moment of it! I love that the heroine had spirit and didn't make it easy on his lordship. Very entertaining and I highly recommend reading this book!
“I’ve no intention of mating with this poor excuse of a man,” Lainie MacGregor declares after reciting her wedding vows. But it’s too late. Far from her beloved Highlands, her fate is sealed. Ridley Malvern, Lord Caulfield, desperate for her dowry, agrees to marry a wealthy Scot’s daughter sight unseen. He is unaware his tantalizing bride is running from the law. Despite their sizzling attraction, all Lainie desires is to return to her clan. Attempting to make things right, Caulfield takes his wife back to the Highlands only to discover why her father sought the marriage—Lainie is wanted for murder. For her safekeeping, they must remain in England. Now Ridley needs to win her affections and prove that a wild Highland lass and an English lord, can find a love match, after all.
This was a really good story. All of the characters were very well written. I enjoyed watching these two characters learn to trust and fall in love with each other after they are bound to the situation they are in. A highly enjoyable page turner, I highly recommend.

I loved Ridley and Lainie's story!!
Ridley hated that he was marrying for money and when he saw how unhappy Lainie was with the marriage, it made it even worse. Lainie was miserable, but she couldn't go back to Scotland because she was wanted for murder. Can these two take an unwanted marriage and turn it into their HEA?
I loved these two!! Ridley was trying to make the best of his marriage, but even though he was falling for his wife, he was willing to give her up. Lainie is also falling for Ridley and when he gives her, her greatest wish, she starts to wonder if that is what she really wants.
And of course, Mum was a big presence in this story and she had me laughing out loud at her antics! I can't wait to see what Roth has in store for the Malverns next! I'm also hoping that a series that includes stories of Lainie's brothers is in the works!
This is the third book in the Magnificent Malverns series. Although this is the first book I have read by Kathleen Bittner Roth, I do have the first two books in the series. It is a standalone, but the author gets some hints of what happened in the preceding books to make the reader want to read those stories as well. This book is about Ridley (the second son) and Lainie. Due to some business failures, Ridley is forced to marry for money and agrees to the marriage sight unseen and so they first meet at their wedding. He is pleasantly surprised to find his bride is not just beautiful, but also is no shrinking violet. He is attracted to her from the start and likewise is she also attracted to him. However, both have their own set of motives for not having the marriage succeed. Their discovery of each other and what each brings to the marriage is a tale worth reading. I generally like a little more I intrigue in the stories I read, but the characters personalities (main and secondary) make this a very interesting read. It certainly makes me want to read the other books I have sooner than later. I have discovered another new to me author to read.
Lovely read. His Lordship's Wild Highland Bride was a great addition to the Malverns series. I was engaged from the first chapter until the very end, enjoying the cast of colorful and wonderful characters all the way. Lainie and Ridley were pretty great together and I enjoyed the development of their relationship. It wasn’t rush, and I was invested in their journey in getting to know and trust each other despite their marriage of convenience. The plot was good, the characters believable and very likable. Overall this was a good read and I recommend.
