This book was OK. I really appreciated the theme of forgiveness and how that played out in the lives of the characters. The writing wasn’t too bad, but it was a book with a predictable ending. I felt that some of the characters were a bit harsh on Pyper and the push to forgive and reconcile. God commands us to forgive and while reconciliation is ideal, in some cases, it’s just not possible. I also didn’t care much for Mark, Pyper’s bio-dad. For someone in recovery, turning his life around, and leading a rehab center, I thought that he was a bit defensive towards Pyper and Chase when he was confronted with his abusive behavior in the past. And I felt that the first half of the book moved a bit slow.

The book wasn’t too badly written. I was able to get through the book pretty quick. This is a good book for those interested in a good romance and has an interest in the music industry.
