I'm sorry but I could not relate to this book at all. The characters weren't very likeable and therefore hard to connect with. It appeared to revolve around sex and all the gay relationships weren't at all positive. I selected to read this book because of the description but it wasn't at all what I expected. I'm sorry if I have missed the point of this book.

Gritty novel of a Sydney I’ve never seen before. Narrator travels his city punctuated by landmarks of addictions, bashings, childhood memories, and failed relationships.

This book is the kind of book to cherish for years to come... The description of Candy meets Loaded is what originally drew me in, that is indeed a very good comparison however this book to me has more heart and emotion than both of those books combined... An important, sad but entertaining work from an exciting new author.
