This was a brilliant read, I've only read Jane Eyre by the Brontes so wasn't sure a biography of Anne and her books would appeal but on the strength of Ellis' previous book I was hopeful. I wasn't disappointed, from page one I was drawn in to their lives and loved the way that it stuck to telling Anne's story whilst still informing me about the family as a whole. My to read pile just got a lit bigger and I now feel drawn to books I that have never appealed before. My heart was won completed with the references to Little Women & Ann of Green Gables
