Holy cow. I've been waiting to read this story since the very beginning. I mean, the series IS called Jericho Brotherhood. But I don't think I was prepared for this one. It was SO much better than I anticipated. You absolutely need to read this series in order to completely grasp the different character dynamics and back story behind all this awesomeness.
Jericho has a problem. Ok. Biggest understatement. He's got multiple problems. His Old Man is finally out of picture, leaving him the Prez of club. But not everyone is happy with the Old Man's departure and Jericho finds himself having to do a lot of damage control. When an opportunity rises that could help him get rid of the rotten seeds in the club, Jericho takes the bait. But he's not prepared for the extra baggage. Nor is he ready to except the fact that this bait is everything he's ever wanted AND needed.
Marr is the Domme at the BDSM club Bound that the Brotherhood runs. She's basically every sadists wet dream. She's hot as hell and can dish out the perfect amount of pain and pleasure, satisfying anyone who's ever had her Masterfulness. But when one of the Brotherhood members starts abusing the girls in the club, Marr not only sees red, she wants blood. Teaming up with the Prez to exile this member becomes little tricky. Especially when her heart gets in the way.
I LOVED this installment. Having the BDSM club as one of main focal points, we're literally thrust in to the erotic world of Doms and Masters. But the piece that pulled me closer is the fact that we're dealing with multiple Masters trying to control each other. And trust me. There are multiple fireworks.
Jericho is forced to step back into a role he swore he'd leave behind. But a Master can never NOT be a Master and boy oh boy, is he ever. Marr is a Domme in every sense on the word. But the way Jericho commands her and her body has her struggling with her "role" within the relationship AND the club. Add in the explosive Brotherhood club drama and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
Did I mention that I loved this one? OMG! The betrayal, the lust, the passion, the drive for revenge and those damn scenes!!!!! (Sigh) Those. Scenes!!!!!!!! Hot hot hot. Mmmm. Ok, I need to stop. If you haven't made up your mind yet, just pick up this series. Honestly, it's worth every page flipped.
Deny is the third book in the Jericho MC series. Jericho has just outed his father as president of the club and this story revolves around the turmoil of the club as Jericho strives to make it a better club. Marr is a Domme at the BDSM club the MC owns. Sparks fly whenever Jericho and Marr are together and he makes her his old lady. Characters we have come to know and love play a major part in this storyline.
This book seemed to have everything for a reader like me. Motorcycle club, check. Erotic romance, check. Sex club, check. And a splash of BDSM, check. So what could go wrong? Well it appears that although I love all of these features in seperate books, if you put them all together in one book, it's a lot. Like half way through this book, my head was just spinning. There were so many things to focus on, I couldn't keep track of any one thing.
The book starts out really promising and the action continues throughout. Jericho stages a coup and overthrows his possible Dad to become president of his MC. His other possible Dad wants to take the club from him and starts stirring up all kinds of trouble at the BDSM club run by the MC. Jericho is trying to balance maintaining order in the MC and protecting the club employees. Enter Marr.
Marr is the sexy Dom at the club who Jericho wants in his bed but needs on his team. Marr is the inside woman at the club who may be able to get info that will help Jericho get the situation under control. The problem is that Marr wants to dominate Jericho in her dungeon and that's not really something he is up for. Let me take this opportunity to say neither am I. I'm not really the female Dom type of reader. I was also confused about how all this was going to work out considering we were dealing with 2 Doms.
The situation with Renegade trying to undermine Jericho keeps escalating. Both Marr and Jericho are forced to decide what is really important to them and the result is HOT! I couldn't decide how to rate this book but despite my disagreement with some of the plot twist and the number of storylines, I'm going with 4 stars. I had fun reading this book and I was thoroughly entertained.
Deny is the third novel in the Jericho Brotherhood series and I could only give it 2 stars.
Having read, reviewed and enjoyed the two previous novels in the Jericho Brotherhood series, I was eager to read Deny, the third novel in the series, and let me start by saying that if you've not read the first two novels, you're going to have a hard time getting into this one because you will be immediately bombarded with a very large number of characters and have a hard time figuring out who's who and their prior connections, which also had me back backtracking to do the same. As the novel progressed, I still had problems keeping the timeline straight and in some cases even recognizing who the narrators are or were, since the novel is written with alternating narration.
Once I got a handle on the aforementioned, I then had to relate to Marr, a Domme, working at the motorcycle club's dungeon, Bound, and she was not an easy character to like or relate to. I don't recall her appearing in the earlier Jericho Brotherhood novels and she desperately needed a backstory. I also wasn't expecting the strong BDSM elements in this novel, as I didn't recall any prior mention of Bound in the other two novels either. While I have no issue with reading a BSDM-centered story, or one with LGBT relationships, the beatings, whipping, caning and blood play were very hard to take. I also had a problem with Renegade, who was both a Dom and a submissive, something I've not seen in any other BDSM novels I've read, and, I had an even harder time dealing with the level of violence, especially against women, in this novel.
While Jericho's attempts to rein in all that's been going wrong with members of the MC and its finances were interesting, and I was happy to get a chance to understand him better, this was just a barely okay read for me. If you have a problem with heavily violent BDSM, multi-partner relationship including LGBT ones, this is not the book for book for you, and it wasn't the book for this reader. Just a warning, this one is definitely for mature audiences only.
This was such a fabulous and erotic story and so different from the traditional MC stories that I read. Jade Chandler really knocked it out of the park and set herself apart from her peers. While this is the third story in the Jericho Brotherhood MC series, this book can standalone. As the new elected President of the Jericho Brothers MC, Isaac Jericho has to make sure that his club is running smoothly. But when he comes across a problem at Bound, the club's sex club, he requests the help of Mistress Marr to help eliminate the problem. But when two alphas butt heads and sexual chemistry explodes, the repercussions of Marr and Isaac getting together is pure FIRE.
Dealing with their own feelings, their down and deliciously dirty power struggles, problems at Bound and people gunning for Isaac's President seat, this was a very entertaining read. It was also hands down one of the sexiest novels I have ever read. I can't wait to read more books in this series.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Carina Press for a copy of this book for an honest review.
