This was a hard book to read, not because it wasn't a great book, but because the things we ask and expect our warriors to do in our name are so hard on the men and women who answer the call. Their sense of honor, dedication, mission and duty is humbling for those of us who have never served. I appreciated the opportunity to go downrange with these warriors and share some of what they lived through. My prayers go up daily for those still out there and for those who've come home to face and accept the changes in themselves.

A very touching read. I highly recommend to anyone interested in the events of the Iraq war and history in general.
