I was really intrigued by the premise of this novel, but I have to say that I was disappointed by the hero and his motivations. Not impressed

This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine. However, nothing really stood out making it a really great book.

FROM LONDON WITH LOVE by Diana Quincy. If you want an historical romance that has danger, intrigue, mystery, and, of course, love and romance, you want to check this one out. Emilia and Hamilton are perfect! Yes, Emilia is a bit annoyed, shall we say, with him as he has once again interrupted her wedding (for the second time). However, watching these two traverse through the ups and downs of a relationship was an enjoyable read indeed. Seeing Emilia gain confidence in herself and watching Hamilton discover the beauty before him warmed my heart. (received ARC from NetGalley for honest review)

As always a thank you first to Netgalley and Random House Loveswept for providing us with a copy of these books so that we could bring you this review.

I mean what isn't there to love when you have kickass woman who don't put up with anything and spies? Each of these woman have such strong dispositions to deal with the tings that they need to individually and are able to put some very strong willed men in their places. Then you have the spy aspect of these stories and how each of these woman influence what is happening. Without giving anything away in any of the books know that the fight is real and they are going through a lot to help themselves as well as their families. I enjoyed each and every one of these books and couldn't wait to read the next one as soon as I finished the one before.

I give these books 5 kisses.

Happy Reading... Adri

I really loved Emilia and Sparrow's story. It was a reunion story, which is always one of my favorites!

Emilia and Sparrow have be betrothed for years, but before they can be married, Sparrow cries off. Just as she is about to marry another, Sparrow kidnaps her from her wedding and tells her that someone is trying to kill her. They, of course, end up spending a lot of time together and their old feelings resurface...well they never really went away.

I really enjoyed watching these two come back together! I'm excited for the next book in the series!

This is a very good standalone novel in spite of being part of a series. An interesting mystery that starts with a bride being kidnapped at her wedding by an old flame.who thinks that someone is trying to kill her. The action never lets up as the mystery develops. Lots of twists and turns through till the end. Now I need to go back to read the other two books in the series! Highly recommended!

One of my favorite genres has a Regency spy setting. The Rebellious Bride series by Diana Quincy has not been a disappointment. Each book in the series has gotten better, each written with a totally different scenario. We were introduced to Hamilton Sparrow in the previous book. Then he was happily working for the Home Office but he had to give it up when he became the Viscount of Vale. Unfortunately, Vale is heavily in debt. As he works to overcome his debt he is drawn into intrigue once again. As he attends the wedding of his former betrothed, he kidnaps her to keep her safe from a hired killer he spots in the crowd. Who wants her dead and why? Emilia St. George is a red head with a temper to match. She does not appreciate Sparrow's interference at all. Will they sort it all out before she comes to harm? What does forged art got to do with it? The tale is fast paced, filled with intrigue, mystery, and danger. I loved the book. I do believe after reading g this three books of Ms Quincy's, I would read any book she wrote. I highly recommend this series.

Emilie’s wedding day was ruined for the second time in five years by Hamilton Sparrow. The wedding this time was to be the grand society wedding of an untitled heiress to a much admired grandson of a Duke, a promising diplomat who charmed everyone he met- the Honorable Edmund Worsley. But it was the image of another man that flashed before Emilie, another groom who had said the morning they were to have wed that he was sorry but he couldn’t marry her. Even though Sparrow was not there or so Emilie thought he was managing to ruin her wedding again. Emilie was determined to shove Hamilton’s memory out of her mind and into the past. Emilia told told herself she was just having wedding day nerves. Even if Edmund sometimes seemed to forget she existed not in a mean way but just like she was an afterthought. But at other times he gave her his full focus and mesmerized her with the promise of the adventures they would soon share. Emilie didn’t love Edmund but she was enchanted by the life he could offer her. Emilie loved to draw and paint. Emilie was her father’s only heir and to inherit a large fortune. The marriage would give Emilie everything she wanted, escape from her boring country life , to keep her promise to her grandfather , and to avoid a long and lonely spinsterhood. She did respect and admire Edmund. Then Emilie heard a voice she recognized fro a long time ago- Hamilton or Sparrow as he was called, he stepped out and told Emilie she mustn’t go through with the wedding. Then Sparrow added he could not allow it . the Emilie told Sparrow she would not let him ruin another wedding for her. Then Sparrow just tossed Emilie over his shoulder . Hamilton Sparrow had been invited to the wedding but then he had seen Pierce Graves who was a hired killer at the wedding . Sparrow saw Graves track Emilia until she entered St. George’s. Sparrow had worked with Graves before in another life and recognized all the signs of a professional planning for his next kill. Sparrow wondered why Emilie but that would be after he got her to safety. Then Sparrow told Emilie there was a hired killer at her wedding. Sparrow was now Lord Vales. Sparrow takes Emilie to a cottage in a seaside village that he had inherited, Sparrow had been hurt by a woman and swore never to open his heart again and just to have casual sex. No relationships. The woman who broke Sparrow’s heart had been a spy who leaked valuable information to the French which ended with the capture, torture and deaths of a number of Sparrow’s men. Then Sparrow starts to get to really know Emilie and develops feelings for her but could Emilie forgive him for jilting her ?
I liked this story but found it to have something lacking for me. Maybe realizing who the villain is without any doubt. But I did really enjoy the story otherwise. I enjoyed the action and this had a good plot. I loved the ending. I didn’t want to put the book down until I found out why Emilie was wanted dead. This is fast moving. I liked the slow build up to the romance in this story. I did chuckle at times while reading this story. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of the story and I recommend.

A new adult and romance novel with a mix of adventure! I’m excited to read this one because I don’t know what to expect.

This book can read as a standalone novel though it is part of the Rebellious Bride series.

Emilia is marrying the grandson of a duke when Hamilton Sparrow ruined it for the second time. Someone wants to kill her and Sparrow investigate who the culprit is. He was a former spy and now a Viscount.

The story is slow. I thought each page I’m turning is engaging. However, it is not that engaging. I could skip it and know what happened as well I can also put it down as I’m not that thrilled. I actually somehow lost my interest in reading it in some parts.

The turn of events are not that exciting. But I admit that I couldn’t help but think who could be the possible suspect and what could be the reason behind.

I loved the fast-paced beginning and it hooked me right away. It's well written and will be thrilling for readers who like twists in the plot.

Full of mystery and suspense the storyline keeps you engrossed and keeps you guessing about who wants Emilia dead, what kind of person Nick is and if Sparrow with ever marry. Sparrow is kind, charming, amusing and dense. Emilia is stubborn, outwardly polite but feisty inside. The two dance around each other with hurt feelings but don't tell the other that they're hurt, they hide behind pride and anger. The story is intriguing and captivating and entertaining.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. This is my honest opinion of it.

I'm was ok but the hero spoiled this for me.I didn't like his choice of mistress,it reflected badly on him that he fell in love with her.

I received an ARC copy of this book from Netgalley.

Based on the description, I expected to love this book. It has all my favorite elements. Unfortunately the writing didn't grip me and I found myself putting the book down frequently and for long stretches. I abandoned the book around the 20% mark when I still felt no connection to the characters. Voracious readers will probably make it through and it enjoy it okay, but my reading time is too precious to dedicate it to anything less than spectacular storytelling.

Sweet and spicy and everything in between. Loved watching them get to know each other again, and all of the drama and suspense that carried them through to the end.

Emilia is about to marry the grandson of a duke when she is kidnapped by the former fiance that jilted her years before. Hamilton Sparrow swears her life is in danger and he has to protect her. Worse, he's actually right. The two try to figure out who is attempting to kill her, as well as keep their emotions in check. Considering how closely they have to work together, this is a much harder task than they originally thought.

As part of the Rebellious Brides series, some of the characters from prior books have cameo appearances. Not knowing the details of their stories won't spoil anything for this one. Emilia is a typical Regency heroine: she has underlying personality traits and some physical characteristics that aren't popular with the ton, but set her apart and are loved by the hero. She hides her individuality so that her fiance will think she's a perfectly biddable bride; she has no emotional attachment to him, but hopes to travel the world and study art. This becomes a hook for Sparrow to work with her, and is part of the larger mystery behind who is targeting her. The tension between Emilia and Sparrow is fun to read, and the love scene is full of emotion as they finally get a chance to express their longing. There's the requisite happily ever after, but it fits the characters and is well earned.

This is a sweet (and sexy) historical romance; good plotline and fun characters. My rating 4.25.

Emilia is about to marry the grandson of a duke when she is swept out of the church by Hamilton Sparrow, the man who jilted her five years before. Emilia is still hurt by Hamilton’s abandonment and she doesn’t understand why he has to ruin her second wedding even if he claims that she is the target of an assassin. The fact that a bullet flies by their heads as they flee does give some strength to Sparrow’s pronouncement.

Hamilton snatched Emilia after he spotted an assassin who he recognized from his spy activities. He was quick to react and once he finds himself protecting Emilia he feels he must solve the mystery of why she is a target. Hamilton thought he had a good reason to leave Emilia behind five years earlier, but the more time he spends with her the more he thinks that he made a mistake. Yet he loved a woman once who betrayed his trust. He doesn't plan to let that happen again.

There are several potential suspects who might want her dead, even her fiancé, although he would do better if they were married first. Ms. Quincy does a good job blending the danger and mystery with the growing relationship between Hamilton and Emilia which is warm and lovely. The characters are nicely developed and make the story more engaging. There is some fun banter but also some rather base descriptions. The couple of sexual encounters are on the visual side but still tastefully done.

The story moves quickly and I enjoyed the twists and turns that complement the romance. I recommend this to readers who enjoy historical romance with a mix of mystery, and sweet, sexy romance.

I received this through NetGalley.

"From London with Love" is another exciting and enjoyable book from the talented Ms. Quincy. Her characters are always complicated and she has a way of crafting a story that holds your interest to the end. Emilia St. George, jilted at the alter by Harrison Sparrow 5 years ago, finds herself in the retired spy's company once again as she gets ready to marry another man. The interactions between these two is witty and passionate and I loved to see that Emilia was not a retiring wallflower. She was a complicated, spirited and a sensual young woman. Sparrow thought he was doing the right thing 5 years ago when he cryed off the wedding because of his work for the Crown, but now, he wonders why he ever let Emilia get away.

My only criticism of the story is that Sparrow lamented over his lost chance with Emilia throughout the book and it became annoying. He was an accomplish spy, now elevated to a Viscount, and he should have figured out his feelings earlier on. Aside from this, I totally enjoyed the story and I rated it a solid 4 star effort. Ms. Quincy is one of my favorite authors and her latest book will thoroughly delight regency romance fans.
