This was a sweet story about two people who were afraid to trust their hearts... again.

Jeremy was left heartbroken three years ago when his girlfriend turned down his proposal and left town. He's on a "no commitment" diet. Grace had her heart broken by a boyfriend who stole her money and has forced her to work two jobs to make ends meet, all while keeping her family out of the loop. It's complicated.

Jeremy was intelligent, handsome and pretty easy going, but didn't seem to take anything seriously. His failure to commit seemed to extend to his professional side as well, which made for an interesting little side story with Jamie. Grace was on a man cleans for 6 months. Nuff said. But these two connected on an emotional level, despite the lack of a physical relationship, which was sweet to watch unfold.

While I enjoyed this story, I didn't love it as much as I thought it would. It just didn't measure up to Three Simple Words. I did love getting to see past characters again, but I failed to truly connect with the main ones. So although this story was sweet, endearing and entertaining, it failed to actually move me. However, would I read anything from this author again? Heck yeah I would!

This is it. the final book of Kingston Ale House. It was really amazing to follow the evolution of all the characters that are presented to us in each book.
I guess that Jeremy's story was one of the mos expected by the readers, not only because in all the other books Jeremy was, indeed, a very important character among the others, but also because we all wanted to see how would he react to the woman that really would get him on his knees.
As usual, the woman that was meant for him, is a woman full of strenght, with a big broken heart and a past full of lies, treasons and disappointments. Because of that past, Grace goes on a cleanse of men. She was deceived by a man who supposedly loved her, when in fact all he wanted was the money she had saved in order to pay his gambling debts. No wonder that she got sick of men and their smooth talk.
What she was not expecting was Jeremy. Meeting him could only meant one thing: Troubles. How was she supposed to be able to bring her six-month cleanse to an end if he kept popping up ahead in front of her, tempting her to sin and making her fall in love with him? At some point, she gave up fighting her feelings and let him knock down the walls she had erected around her. However, he would have to wait for her for another three months, until his spiritual cleansing. What means: No sex at all. Would he wait for her? Would he be that guy who could be the one for her? That's what she was so afraid. To give her heart away once again and get hurt all over.
Jeremy by his turn, had also his issues with women. He was, once, very in love with a woman who didn't give him the same love. To her, he was just a cute guy, that wasn't as ambitious as her. He got his heart broken and swore that never again would he get to a point to commit with someone again. Until he meet Grace. The woman that got into his mind and knocked him over, big time!
Both together will learn to wait and to trust again in love and on true relationships. They will learn how to give their hearts to love without loosing their personality and their power as an individual smart and strong person.
Really loved this book and the pleasure that this serie gave to me was enormous. At each one I felt that empathy with all characters and all of them together made one hell of a Kingston Ale House. Gonna really miss them all.

Title: Worth The Wait
Author: A.J. Pine

4 unexpected stars

If there's one thing I enjoy in books, it's to be surprised and enchanted by the characters and the storyline in such a way that you'll remember it for as long as possible. Worth The Wait was that kind of book and for that reason, A.J. Pine is an author that I'll enjoy following for as long as she'll be writing. It's the type of novel that has a little bit of everything all rolled into one - humor romance, sexyness and so many emotions that you'll think to be in a roller coaster. Grace and Jeremy are the perfect example of what happens when two individuals become friends and decide to go for the benefits of being intimate without the inconveniences of a relationship (for them).

4 breath taking dreams

Neither was looking for anything serious - in fact, Grace was giving herself a relationship detox and Jeremy had spent the last 3 years avoiding everything and anything more serious than a good roll in the sack. However things don't always go as planned when their relationship with benefits gets a little more serious. Their chemistry is undeniable and I was sad to see them go after all this time. I thoroughly enjoyed A.J. Pine's Worth The Wait and I can't wait to read more from her in the future.

Grace was not looking for a man or any type of a relationship in her life. She is on a six month of cleanse, cleanse of everything. Jeremy is a customer for a massage at the hotel he is staying at. They immediately have a connection. Telling him that she is not dating should work. The problem is they end up meeting a few more times and each time they are still drawn to each other. Not wanting to ruin her cleanse he tells her that he is willing to wait if they can be friends. This is when the story takes off. He ex from three years ago and now a T.V. personality signs her up for a reality type show for a local station wanting to see want happens now at the end of here last three months. Grace is working on getting past an ex that won’t leave her alone, but does not want any help because she feels that man will hurt her parents. At the same time Jeremy is working through becoming a partner in the bar he is working at with his best friend. There are a lot of good and funny parts along with some real touching moments. Overall a good book, and you don’t need to read any of the books before this one to be caught up. A good story.

There was a lot going on in this story. This was such a cute couple and it had an interesting twist on the usual romance storyline. Grace is a masseuse that is tired of making bad decisions in her life. She goes on a personal cleanse to change her bad mojo. She never dreams that this new journey will include meeting Jeremy. It seems that Jeremy has a little bad mojo in his life too but meeting Grace is not part of it. In fact, she’s the best thing to happen to him but he cannot seem to separate his past from his possible new future. I liked this story from the beginning. The connection these two had was sweet and felt authentic. This is part of a series and it can be read alone but I promise you will want to read the other stories because this series is great.

Guys, you don't know how much it hurts me to write this review. I've spent the past week thinking about how I should do this because I still can't believe I didn't enjoy this book and how disappointing it was for me. As I said before, I absolutely adored the previous books in this series, Three Simple Words was even one of my favorite reads last year, so I was really excited to read this one especially because it was about Jeremy. Here's the thing, Jeremy has been one of my favorite characters in the series since book 1 and I just wanted him to be happy because he deserved it... well, he ended up happy. Do I think Grace deserved him? NO and that was my big problem with this book.

Since The One that Got Away that I loved Jeremy. At one point I even shipped him with Holly (one of the other characters) but then Holly got her own book, met Wes and, to be honest, I loved Wes and I was super happy for them. After that I kept thinking Jeremy would find an awesome girl who would be even better than Holly... let's just say he didn't because I didn't like Grace at all. I really liked that Grace knew what she wanted from her life and what she wanted for her career but the rest of her life was a mess and it was mostly because she was dumb as hell. Here's the thing, I know breakups are not easy. It's even harder when the ex is an asshole who's trying to blackmail her (which btw, the blackmail was ridiculous... I thought it would be something way more serious) but did she really need to do a men cleanse for six months? I don't think so. I would understand if Grace was one of those girls who made mistake after mistake, who would fall for the wrong guy after wrong guy but it didn't happen. She had a relationship that ended up badly and she just decided she needed a cleanse! WHY?? No idea... I still don't understand her reasons. This was already bad for me but I thought Grace would grow on me and I would end up loving her... it didn't happen, want to know why?? Because she kept doubting about Jeremy's feelings for her. I understand people have doubts sometimes but her doubts were beyond ridiculous. As I said she was on a men cleanse which means there would be no touching with any guy for six months. Jeremy spent the last three months with her and he never tried anything once... what does Grace think at one point?? Maybe Jeremy was with her because she was the easiest option!! Well honey, you and your relationship with Jeremy was far from easy and I hate that you doubted him and made him sad because of your stupidity. Yeah, as you can see I didn't like Grace at all and I had even more problems with her but I'm already mad and I need to calm down :P.

However, this was not my only problem with this book. I really didn't like the plot and I thought it was weird. I already talked about how I didn't like the cleanse thing and how I didn't like the whole blackmail thing but what made everything even weirder was the whole reality show around Grace's cleanse. I just couldn't understand it. First of all, it wasn't even a real reality show. Grace only needed to make a few posts on the reality show Facebook group and they would talk about her progress sometimes during the news. How is that a reality show? Secondly, what kind of concept is that? I would never be interested on a reality show about a girl who is in a men cleanse for 6 months?? Is it that rare for a girl to be without a guy for 6 months?? It isn't right? It happens and that doesn't mean people will want to watch a reality show about it. I just really didn't like the whole concept of this book and at one point I really wanted the story to be completely different because Jeremy deserved better than this. To be honest, the only reason I'm rating this book 3 stars is because I loved this series and I loved Jeremy because if I wasn't reading this as a standalone I wouldn't do it.

Overall, this book was a huge disappointment to me. As Cristina said, it wasn't worth the wait. However, I still think you should give the series a try because the previous books are amazing. Also, while I had a lot of problems with it there are still a lot of people who loved it and you might be one of those people.

Worth the Wait is one of those slow burn kind of books, but it's well worth the wait to get to the good stuff, because honestly, the whole story is the good stuff. Grace and Jeremy are so sweet, and funny, and sexy together. They meet when Jeremy is booked as one of her last minute replacement appointments for a massage in his Madison, Wisconsin hotel. Even before Grace officially meets Jeremy, she's aware of how hot he is. Kaylee, the spa receptionist, took great glee in telling her. But, she's unprepared for the reaction she has to him. For one, he's a ginger, a Michael Fassbender circa 2005 kind of ginger. Yeah, who can resist a Fassy look alike? Not me, and certainly not Grace, or at least her wayward body.

But, despite her body's traitorous response to Jeremy's Fassy looks and his charming flirting, Grace keeps herself in check because she's on a cleanse, not just a body cleanse, but a man cleanse. That's right, a man cleanse. She is following the tenets of a book called Man Cleanse: Six Months to a Healthy, Happy You...and the Road to True Love by Suzanne Summerville. It sounds hippy dippy to Jeremy (and to me, quite frankly), but Grace is quite serious about it, for heartbreakingly serious reasons. I applaud her steadfastness to the cleanse, and for the reasons she applies herself. She's a strong, tough woman, our Grace is, and all the more appealing for it. And Jeremy thinks so, too. He hasn't had a reaction like this to a woman in a long time, if ever, and it's not just because of her beauty. It's because of her: her sweetness, her earnestness, just her. He hasn't had this kind of reaction, and he's determined to do something about it until he realizes he'll probably never see her again after the massage.

When they keep running into each other and find themselves drawn to each other, they decide to be just friends, as that's all Grace can manage while she's on her cleanse. When Jeremy's obnoxious, weather girl ex, Whitney, runs into Jeremy and Grace while they're on a friend date, and she sees the book Grace is following, an idea is born for Grace to follow the cleanse all while airing it on Facebook, and on camera, and if she can keep to the cleanse and have her first kiss with someone post cleanse on air, then Grace will receive $25k and Whitney's show will receive high ratings. Yeah, it may have sounded like a good idea on paper, but I just knew it was going to implode somehow. I was on the edge of my seat while reading, trying to decide if they would give into their obvious sexual tension before her cleanse was done. Their burgeoning relationship, fraught with sexual tension, and the beginnings of a real, sweet friendship are the things of fairy tale, but a modern fairy tale with a realistic bent. Because there's no doubt that Grace and Jeremy are real characters, not billionaires, not virgins, not helpless anythings, but with real emotions and insecurities and perceived failings. That's what I love so much about Worth the Wait - it all feels real, not contrived in any way. Even the secondary characters: Jamie, Brynn, Holly, Will, Annie, Wes, Mrs. Abelli, and even Whitney are the kind of people we all know at least one of. Normal, every day people that we like, we might hate, we might even love.

If slow burn romances are your thing, I highly recommend you check out Worth the Wait. It is part of a series, but completely a standalone. I haven't read any of the other books and I wasn't lost or feeling out of the loop in any part of Worth the Wait. I am, however, now planning on reading the entire series because I love Worth the Wait so much!

Worth the Wait is the fourth book in the Kingston Ale House series by A.J. Pine. I have not read the first book in the series, but I did really enjoy book two- Six Month Rule, and book three,Three Simple Words . You can easily start off at any book you would like. They are very easy to follow and each book follows a different couple. I have read several books by this author, so I feel like I pretty much know what to expect going in. I know it is going to be a good romance, I know there are going to be flawed, complex characters that make for an interesting read, and I know that there is probably going to be drama thrown in. And I was right on all of the above for Worth the Wait, and for the whole series.

Worth the Wait is Jeremy and Grace’s story.I really enjoyed Grace and Jeremy’s backstories, and I think because of these two characters, Worth the Wait is my favorite book in the Kingston Ale House series to date! Jeremy and Grace each have their own reasons to be distrustful, both in general and of the opposite sex. It would be really hard to get over what Grace went through. That would be a hard betrayal for me to stomach. As soon as Jeremy and Grace run into each other, I could tell their chemistry and attraction was off the charts. And then they kept running into each other over and over again. I loved it. Grace is on what she calls a “man cleanse” which I found to be an awesome way to put it. I love A.J. Pine’s sense of humor. She always does an awesome job balancing drama and humor in her stories. She is excellent at providing levity in the really heavy moments, and her writing is always excellent. I loved their story. It was cute, sexy and funny. And I really loved the theme of trust woven throughout the book.

Bottom line: If you like new adult contemporary romances that are very well done, Worth, and the whole Kingston Ale House series, is a great one for you to check out. It is a very character driven read with a lot of sass and a lot of heart. I think Worth the Wait might be my favorite AJ Pine book to date! (and I have read about 6 by her)

Side Note: They changed the covers for the series, and I have to say I liked the old covers better, but a lot of that has to do with my own personal opinions about contemporary romance book covers with guys in underwear on the cover. (I know, I know that is probably an unpopular opinion.)

AJ Pine is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Although this was not my favorite book so far, I still enjoyed it a lot. Grace was so stubbornly independent that it became irritating. Had she, opened up at any point her problems could have been easily addressed. Despite that this was still a fun, sweet and sexy story and I can't wait for the next one!

*4.5 Stars Rounded Up

Now, it needs to be said that I am a big fan of this series, and Jamie from the first book, The One That Got Away, has been hard to top. That said... Jeremy gives Jamie a run for his money! (Though I think Jamie is still my favorite KAH guy). He was so caring and sweet and I loved how honest he was! He was just so darn adorable. I also liked Grace a lot, and admired her loyalty and her strength when it came to figuring out what she wanted. These two were wonderfully matched and so much fun to "watch."

And seriously, for a book of no kisses or sexual touching for over 90%, this had some hot sexual tension that scorched the pages! They had fantastic overall chemistry, with some great emotional intimacy as well. I loved their interactions, the humor, their coincidences and chemistry. And their faith and trust in each other, despite some hiccups along the way.

Something I have enjoyed in each book is that there are few unlikable characters here (aside from one who is pretty obvious). They are all so multi-faceted and the drama just the right side of believable (because like CAN be that interesting :) ).

As a fan of all 4 books, I really liked visiting with the couples from the previous books too, especially Brynn and Jamie. It's bittersweet that this is the final book in the series as I will miss them all, but it was such a fantastic end!

(This is absolutely standalone, in case my review makes it sound otherwise!)

Jeremy meet Grace. Grace was currently on a purge of things not good for her and that included men. Jeremy was determined to show her not all men were bad for her. In the process, Jeremy was able to forget or at least not allow for the past to impact his current decision in the pursuit of Grace. If you have read any of the previous books in this series, you will most certainly want to get in on the deal now. IF you have not read one then start here. There was a sweet edge to the romance that gave me a very entertaining read that I would not mind experiencing again.

When I read the synopsis for this book I was highly intrigued. The charachters sounded so increadably interesting and unique. Then the plot though I have read a couple of books like it, they weren't quite like this. I found it to be a refreshing. I wasn't disappointed in the characters. I loved them. Grace was just as delightful as I thought she would be. She was fun and even when I was frustrated with her she was my favorite character. Jeremy was to me adorablely clueless when it came to her. I did feel this book moved extremely slow. It was sometimes hard to stay 'inside' the story. If slow story lines do not interfere with getting involved in the story this is a fantastic book.

This is another addition to the Kingston Ale House series. This one centers on Jeremy and Grace who is a massage therapist on a 6-month man cleanse. The beginning is interesting because it takes us to the end where we find out that all is not HEA at the moment.

Jeremy meets Grace about halfway through her “new lease on life”, so to speak. He is instantly attracted to her and to be fair – so is she – but he’s a client – oh and there’s that whole no man…no sex…no nothing cleanse she is doing. Fate keeps throwing them together, so they decide to give in - in a platonic sort of way.

Overall it was a cute story – there was the annoying ex who doesn’t want to be an ex anymore for further complications. I was annoyed about the loose definition of “no sexual contact” – there was plenty of contact – just no kissing (or obviously sexual contact) – that didn’t ring true for me. The misunderstandings were predictable but so frustrating. That seems to be a Pine specialty. :-)

The banter was cute and Grace’s internal conversations were humorous as well.

Overall – it’s a cute series, but so far – Book One was the best!

This was a pretty good read. It was well written and read fairly quickly. Jeremy and Grace definitely have chemistry even though she can't do anything about it. I don't want to say anything more than that so as to not ruin the premise of this book.
But if you like an enjoyable well written book you should pick this one up.

***4 ‘Commit to possibility’ Stars***

The whole ‘man cleanse’ idea peaked my interest and the fact that the guy was more than willing to go with it in order to get the girl and needed to see how it all played out and found Worth the Wait to be a sweet, enjoyable and realistic love story about two people colliding at what looks to be at the worst time ever, but turns out to be anything but.

I loved Jeremy and Grace. Jeremy is at crossroads that he didn’t necessarily mean to put himself in and is working out what direction he actually wants to take. Jeremy is that mix of charm and sex appeal that makes him hard to ignore. His heart has been bruised and he’s closed himself off from commitment, but his sweetness and compassion have kept him from being cynical. Grace has been burned. Badly. But she is determined to take control of her life back and attain her dreams. I loved Grace’s determination to follow the man cleanse and how she held onto the hope that it would bring her the clarity that she craved. That determination wasn’t new though, she’s walked to the beat of her own drum and though she’s always felt like an outsider in her own family, it hasn’t stopped her, nor has it diminished the love she has for them.

I enjoyed watching Jeremy and Grace’s relationship evolve and grow from the first time they met to when they finally got their HEA. I loved how supportive Jeremy was of Grace’s “cleanse” and did all he could to help her achieve her goal, while making sure that she knew of his intent to be with her once the six months were up. Their bantering was fun and sweet and even though they couldn’t get down and dirty, they found ways to take the edge off the sexual tension that was growing between them. The potholes in their journey made things fun and I really liked how everything ended up in the end.

Worth the Wait is my first book by AJ Pine and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing was engaging and the pacing was good. And as it is my first read, I haven’t read the first books in the series, but in no way felt lost. The dual 3rd person POV was well done and the characters were all well written. If you’re looking for a fun and quick read with a good amount of heat, sweetness and just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting I’d recommend that you give this one a go.

I got this book for an honest review on Netgalley and I loved it, just like the rest of the series. This time we get to read about Jeremy's story and it's full of funny scenes and super sexy moments.

Grace was such a beautiful character, she was hurt and she had this plan to cleanse herself to get back to a state of real happiness, to get an equilibrium back into her life.

But she wasn't counting on Jeremy, this sexy redhead came in and set everything on fire!

The sexual tension between them is off the hook from the moment they see each other.
The build up tension that starts since their first encounter scares them, but it was obvious they where perfect for each other from the start.

Grace shows some extreme self control because I don't think I could have resisted Jeremy for that long, he is just so perfect, sexy and considerate.
He was there for her every time and he took the trouble in helping her trust men again; step by step he lowered her walls and Grace found her way back to life.

The book has a nice message about moving forward and letting go of your fears of loosing and suffering.
In life you come across different people and some of them will hurt you to the point where it's hard to breathe, and you feel like your heart is so broken you will never be able to find all the pieces and stick them together again.

The being fooled and feeling like a moron is a regular one too, when you realise you should have seen it coming and can't believe you didn't.

But in the end, life just goes on, and you can't expect good things and happiness to be a constant, but it's all in the way you get your footing back, finding the perfect way to get back after a debacle.

After a horrible breakup, Grace follows the advice of a popular book to cleanse her life of all negativity. She is three months into her six month cleanse when she meets Jeremy. Jeremy went through a horrible break up of his own three years ago and hasn't committed to anything since. When Grace and Jeremy keep running into together, they agree to friendship since Grace isn't willing to break her cleanse. When Jeremy's ex, the weather girl at the local news station, hears of Grace's cleanse, she pitches it as a puff piece to boost ratings. When Grace has to go on dates for the story, Jeremy agrees to be her wingman but after seeing a few, decides that the man that Grace is going to kiss in three months is him. With a partnership in Kingston Ale House on the table, can Jeremy commit to another thing?

This story was so bittersweet for me. I loved this series and am so sad to see it end. I couldn't put down Jeremy and Grace's story. Separately, these two had so much to get together. Jeremy and his lack of commitment and Grace and all of her secrets. Together, these two were a powerhouse. With Grace swearing off men and Jeremy's ex back in town, I thought this book would have a ton of angst but, while there was some drama, it definitely wasn't a huge part of the story. These two opposites complemented each other so perfectly that I never wanted the story to end. While I'm sad to goodbye to this series, I am really looking forward to what comes next from this author!

Worth the Wait is worth all five stars and more. This fun sexy story has amazing characters that are likeable and relatable. What a great addition to the Kingston Ale House series, so far my favorite. I loved watching Grace and Jeremy's story play out. These two have had bad past relationship and trying not to repeat the same. This is one book you will want to read, so pick it up and enjoy.
