"Stealing Magic” is such an utterly charming story, one which I would have no hesitation to read. It is a good Middle Grade/YA fantasy suitable for most ages, mostly focus to younger crowd who will flock to this adventure that pits several ‘magical’ youths against the forces of darkness. Alex Vick has a great way of writing in a believable manner. Like the whole backstory and myth behind the magical lore and the two worlds( Terra and Androva). Shannon, Jax and Darius are fun leads that children (and adults) will enjoy rooting for. A well-written and tightly knit plot will appeal to all readers, not just fans of fantasy. It has a solid universal message that everyone can understand and appreciate, and it is a lot of fun to read. The ending wraps up well and would be happy to read more! Highly recommend.!
One day, you discover yourself as having a magic and even could travel into a parallel dimension and could cast your own magic which sound awesome! I love Jax and Shannon character in this book, even though they are very young but they do know how to handle each of the situation in calming way and try to figure out what to do and how to do it.
The plot is a bit slow at the first two chapters but as soon as the 2 main characters - Jax and Shannon journey begin and it start to get interesting as it goes by with full of magic and I got curious of what is really happened between Androva and Terra and why Angelus being evil.
Anyways, I really enjoy reading Stealing Magic and couldn't wait to read the next series.
This book was a unique book about parallel dimensions and magic. The author has lots of action and some great adventure in this book. The characters are easy to like and you want to help them save both worlds. I would love to read book 2. This book was a fun exciting read for me! * I received this book from Netgalley--This is my honest review*
