Harley takes her weird brand of crime-as-community service/self-improvement track into a group therapy project, what could possibly go wrong? There's some fun hi-jinx to be had as candy-coloured harlequins rampage across the country. But there's not much time to introduce any of these new characters, Harley tends to put them in a stereotype box but the characters rebel against this treatment, but we don't see nay depth to any of them...except the one that turns evil in the main book nine months later (SPOILERS).
Verdict: Try it. There's more of what keeps me reading the main book, but it's not required reading.
Harley springs a kidnapping on her Gan of Harleys. But when they finally muddle to her location, they find that she has actually been kidnapped. And then the Harleys get targeted for extinction! That pushes them into top gear. They finally have a target! But this target keeps moving, tossing henchmen, robot killer superheroes, not to mention man-eating goats at the gang. Will the Gang succeed or will Harley be enslaved to Sinn? Read and find out!
I received an early e-ARC of this title from the publisher through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 stars. The artwork was really good and the story was well written. It came together nicely and made for an entertaining read. Harley wasn't featured quite as much as she is in her own titles, and that's no surprise given the full name of this one. Her Gang of Harleys proved to be entertaining in their own right though, and worked together well enough when they had to.
This is a fun, zany volume that takes a look into Harley and her gang. I didn't like this as much as I wanted to; however, I think there are different camps for Harley fans, and those who enjoy anything Harley will probably enjoy this.
With folks like Conner, Palmiotti, and Tieri at the helm, this series continues to be great and amusing. This volume gives the spotlight to Harley's gang, who are all happy to battle villains and save the innocent. . . for a price. Harley decides to test the gang's skills by faking her own kidnapping. However, when a rival from Harley's past makes the kidnapping all too real, the gang must rise to rescue her.
This is a fun comic from start to finish. The action starts pretty much from the first page, and it does not let go. Though the pace slows down a bit late in the comic when they give details of the villain's origins, the story overall is good entertainment. You get a nice blend of adventure, humor, and some silly hijinks. The art continues to be great. It is a pleasure to read this book with gorgeous art. As I have mentioned before, in a time when most of DC Comics titles have taken a turn for dark, oppressive, emo, and depressing themes, this series is a breath of fresh air. It is light; it is fun to read, and I actually look forward to reading it. I really enjoyed this series, and I do recommend it highly.
Had some funny moments but overall was just "meh". How many series does Harley Quinn need? Her schtick is getting old. The art was decent, similar to other artists on Harley Quinn's book. Harley gets kidnapped and her gang has to find her. The villain seems to be Joker's Daughter part deux.
The Harleys (and Harley) are in the swing of things. They now get their own colors and on every page it seemed like they all got more and more unique.
Harley gets kidnapped, twice. And the second time it's by a big bad that is thoroughly crazy and not in a good Harley sort of way.
She and the Harleys wind up on a seriously freaky island with many a danger. Can they save their boss?
It was the usual good Harley characterization that has been for the last few years and an alternatively hilarious and touching story.
I got this ARC through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment.
Review - Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys
Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys by Jimmy Palmiotti and Frank Tieri

I love Harley Quinn’s character and the many iterations she’s been through. This style of hers takes some getting used to but all the personality/attitude behind it all is still awesome. The art for this comic is really well done. The story is fun and sometimes surprising but not too surprising if that makes sense. The best part is all the new Harleys and their wide array of personalities/quirks. The big bad is well to put it mildly not very surprising but still a good threat. The ending was a nice set up too.
Funny AF! Harley Quinn isn't my fav character, but the fact that had a band, which actually admire her, is awesonem, even the fact that she, as the time pass, is less a villain
I'm assuming that the reissue of this book in ebook form is based on the popularity of Margot Robbie in the recent Suicide Squad movie. And this was an interesting book. A bit short on the story since there had to be some world and character building and, well, it's a comic so generally rather short.
We meet Harley's new gang (almost all have some variation of her own name, picked by a round of tryouts) and find out that they will do good deeds... well, if they're paid enough. The problem is that it appears that Harley had been kidnapped. And, at first, it seems to be a set up by Harley herself to see if her gang can handle it. But then, she actually does get kidnapped and it's up the the Harleys and their friends to get her back.
Fast read and generally fun but will probably be better when it's part of the collected series.
Three and a half stars
This book comes out February 7
A fun look at Harley's new gang. Since Harley is the one in need of rescuing, the reader gets a closer look at the individual personalities that make up her gang of Harleys as they attempt to save her.
Love Harley. Loved Amanda Conner's Harley. So with trepidation I read this. Lots of fun , tons of diversity. Artwork is bold saturated colors. I'm in for the next one.
I have mixed feeling about this collection. The first thing that struck me was the artwork was a little off. The faces, seemed to not really fit the characters and there were other little things that just didn't work. The story was eh, not horrible but not great either. I didn't think this Harleen Sinn should have given Harley as much trouble as she did. I mean Harley beat the crude out of the Joker. The Joker! Needless to say I wasn't crazy about this new villain.
Yet the story was decent, with lots of action and witty comebacks. I'm very conflicted about this as I think if they had a different villain the arc would have been much better. I just didn't like the whole poor rich girl who's daddy didn't give me enough attention. It's been done! Come on... original ideas people, get some!
Over all the writers did an ok job, but they need some more new material.
