Would have rated a little higher if the ending wasn't so abrupt, but cute story nonetheless. Not sure if it makes me want to go back and read the series though.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review Dashing Through the Snow. Unfortunately, I was never able to get into it and I have no plans to read or review it at this time.
LOVED Dash and Dylin.. ARC given via Net Galley for honest review..
Very short novella.. super fast and fun read.. When getting a assignment from her Boss/Ex BF to get the interview with Snowboarder Dash Grainger.. she does what she is asked.. Little does expect to get stuck in a snowstorm with the super sexy snowboarder and adrenaline junkie..
When you mind is set on one thing about someone and then getting stuck with them and you realize you are completely wrong..
I loved everything about this book.. I love this authors writing.. I have read quite a few of her books.. thanks for letting me read this bad boy..
This book was fun and quick. I love M. Leighton so I figured I would enjoy this. The characters were really enjoyable. Dash is sexy and sweet and I just love him so much. The setting was fun. My only problem with this book is that I wish we got more of en ending.
Dash Grainger is a champion snowboarder. Lives for the high of being on the slopes. Has no desire to settle down. Hasn’t met anyone to want to make him give up his thrill for the sport.
Dilyn Hart hates Christmas so when her boss, who happens to be her ex boyfriend sends her on a job Christmas Eve to interview the sexy snowboarder, she jumps at the chance.
These two had an instant attraction and the chemistry was undeniable. So when a blizzard hits and they get snowed in all sorts of sexy goodness occurs! 4 star fast and fun read (TJ)
Dilyn Hart hates Christmas, so when her boss (and ex-boyfriend) hands her an assignment to interview champion snowboarder and gorgeous playboy extraordinaire, Dash Grainger, on Christmas Eve, she takes it. There are several things she doesn’t plan for—a surly driver, a chalet in the middle of nowhere, a freak snowstorm—but the biggest surprise of all is Dash himself.
Dash Grainger lives for the high, and so far in his twenty-six years, he’s never met anyone or anything he loves more. Nothing has ever thrilled him as much as slick snow, cold air, and breakneck speed.
Until he meets Dilyn.
But one perfect night doesn’t mean clear, blue skies the next day. There are some storms that can’t be weathered.
Christmas Day might just be one of them
This book was amazing! I love everything M. Leighton writes and highly suggest this book!
Dashing through the Snow is a standalone novella from M. Leighton. This one is short and has some cute moments as well as some steamy ones. While I did enjoy parts of it though, it suffered from what I typically have a problem with in novellas, and that is that there just aren't enough pages to really do the story justice. This one felt rushed at times, and while the beginning was promising, the second half of this story fell apart for me.
Dilyn Hart hates Christmas, so she is relieved when she gets an assignment for Christmas Eve. She needs to interview known player and champion snowboarder Dash Grainger. When they are caught in a snowstorm, they find themselves falling for one another despite all the reasons that they shouldn't.
These two were cute together and they definitely had chemistry. Dash and Dilyn definitely were a case of insta-love here, and while that can work for me sometimes I will admit that it didn't entirely work for me with these two. It was really rushed and didn't feel as though it was entirely believable. Things got a bit crazy in the second half of the story like I mentioned before, and I felt like it was just kind of over the top and really lost me. While I liked the characters and M. Leighton's writing style, this one was just okay. If you are looking for a quick holiday story without a ton of substance, this one might be one worth checking out.
Are you on the naughty list this year? Then do I have a book for you! This book is sure to take the chill out of the Winter air just by Leighton's words alone. Lawdy it's hot!
Dilyn is off to interview one of the biggest names in snowboarding. On Christmas Eve. In the middle of a snow storm. Forced to buckle down and spend the night with Dash Grainger is not what she had in mind. But boy is it what she needed. One amazing night with the charming playboy is everything Dilyn needs and more. But now her heart is on the line and she is sure Dash will crush it. Or will it be the other way around?
I adored this book so very much. And the characters even more. Leighton is releasing this one just in time to give all of us who are running around like mad...a little bit of fun and sexy. The perfect antidote to a crazy holiday season.
Such a wonderful quick and delectable read...DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW is just what you should have on your Christmas list. 5 Steamy Stars!!
Sweet, fast paced and hot!I loved the storyline in this one!Dash and Dilyn find themselves stuck in a cabin in a middle of a snowstorm, and took a chance, and opened up to one another, like they had never done before in their lives.Michelle Leighton really gave us the perfect little holiday treat
(It was a long time since I read it ,and I really don't know why I haven't post my review here.!)
My Dashing Through the Snow Review . . .
It has been FOREVER since I read a M. Leighton book and what a shame that has been. I forgot how much I adore her stories. In Dashing Through the Snow we have a super short and sweet story about love and second chances with a Christmas theme to get us ready for this holiday season.
Dilyn has her reasons to hate Christmas but when her ex/current boss sends her to interview the risk taking, extreme sport athlete the last thing she was expected was to rekindle her love for Christmas.
Dilyn is adverse to risk takers so the last thing she wants is to interview Dash Grainger. But a job is a job and it will give her some to think about her ex boyfriend and what they could be in the future. However, this interview didn't start out on the right track with them being stuck in a middle of a snowstorm and add the fact that Dash Grainger makes the once competent Dilyn Hart tongue tied.
The chemistry was instant but Dilyn has her reasons to keep Dash at bay. For Dash, he's a love em' and leave em' type of guy, where all the women he's with know the score. But something about Dilyn wakens something up in Dash that makes him question everything.
At first they try to do the right thing but its hard to ignore fireworks. Once they given in, the sparks come to life causing lust at first sight to morph into a love a first sight type of scenario. But can a risk avoider and a risk taker make it work? Not when the ex wants more and miscommunications and assumptions come through in droves.
Now their very quick feelings have to fight for what is right, as soon as they start to communicate instead of assume. This was a super sexy and sweet holiday read. However, because it was so short some of the nuances of their relationship were missed for me. Causing me not to be fully engaged into their story. And with it been so quick I didn't quite feel the love at first sight, let me give up everything for each other type of love. But it was still sweet. And I loved the idea of the story. It also gave me a smile to my face and made my miss M. Leighton that I know, I now have to get back on my Leighton wagon and catch up on the books that I have missed of hers.
3 . 5 Sexy and Sweet thumbs up!
A sizzling romance right from the start! This is a hot one to spice up a cold winter night. Great characters and a nice holiday setting that gives you a taste of the author's writing style. Now I have another author whose books need to be added to my TBR list.
Quick steamy read, perfect for the holiday season, it'l for sure warm you up on a cold night. I loved the lusty steamy chemistry between Dilyn and Dash. This was an easy read to just escape the chaos around the holiday season. It's so easy and fast to read that you'll be able to find time to get lost in it between buying gifts, making cookies, and wrapping gifts.
I am a big fan of M Leighton’s and some of her books are in my frequently reread pile (especially the Bad Boys series), so when I saw this I couldn’t resist. It’s only 146 pages long so will only take you an hour or so to read and although it’s short it will give you a flavour of the author’s style and might tempt you to read something else of hers! Make sure you check out the reviews of her books throughout the blog.
The story sees reporter Dilyn and professional snowboarder Dash caught in a snow storm and what could be a more romantic setting than a beautiful chalet, a roaring fire, s’mores… well you know – nothing! Throw in a jealous ex-boyfriend some jumping to conclusions and you have this fabulously festive short story!
M Leighton is definitely an author I go back to time and time again and I think this little sample will set you up for the same.
Fun holiday read! loved it! Cash was great in this book!
Dilyn's new assignment is to interview player champion snowboarder Dash. There's an instant attraction when they met. As they spend time stranded together they fell in love. However a misunderstanding with an ex boyfriend leads to a rift byte two. Dash make a big decision that affects their future. Recommended read.
I loved this book, it was refreshing, different and I really enjoyed it! It was so much fun to lose myself in this world and I'm glad I stuck with this book.
I am so excited for more from this author, full review soon!
M Leighton has written another wonderful, cheerful and fun read! Dashing through the Snow is a fun book that shows love does happen at first site.
Dilyn has the worst job ever, working for her boss who is also her ex and trust me, she does not enjoy answering to him but she also give him hell and that is the best part!! He treated her wrong and also played with her head but little does she know, everything happens for a reason.
Dash is a spirited risk taker and will do whatever he needs to do to have fun and loose himself in his sport. His family life isn't what everyone thinks it is and his desire is only for his sport until he lays his eyes on Dilyn,
This short story was a great book to get lost in. You feel sorry for both Dilyn and Dash with there struggles but happy when they get together!!
