After reading a few pages I decided to purchase the previous book from this series. I totally loved this book. I am looking forward to see what happens to Pippa and Snowley.

I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The heroine is a well born lady who spends all her time in the saddle; jumping anything that stands still long enough for her mare to jump over. A mare named Boudica! I loved Caro, she was very much my kind of heroine.

The hero was well written, but he was a bit too stuffy for my tastes. Always going on about propriety and such. He grew much better as the plot went on.

I enjoyed the story line, it moved along well, steady pace and the right number of characters to keep it interesting but not bogged down with names and titles.

I have loved Ashlyn Macnamara books for a long time and she has not disappointed me yet. This story is about Lady Caroline Wilde is suppose to be a proper young lady but she is not at all. Adrian wants the fields to be planted and Caro wants those same fields to train her horses. Adrian is illegitimate and he does not feel he can fall in love with Caro. I am not a fan of spoilers so I am not going to spoil the book for someone else.

I promised an honest review for this ARC and so here it is. While the book was well written, it was not a story that pulled you in nor kept you engrossed. If you are a horse lover then this book might pique your interest. As I said, it was a well constructed story but not very exciting as far as I was concerned.

Caro is unconventional. She doesn't want the restrictions of being a proper lady. She is mad about horses and wants to ride astride instead of sidesaddle. Adrian comes upon 2 boys in the rain. One is hurt and when he stops to help, he realizes that one is a woman. They happen to be going to the manor house that he is going to for an interview. He is to be the new estate agent. Now all he has to do is his job and keep his hands off of Caro and his mind on estate business. Easier said than done.

Lady Caroline Wilde doesn’t like to conform to society’s norms. She wants to race her mare wearing breeches (pants), not ride sidesaddle at a gentle pace. She wants to live free. Adrian Crosby has been hired as the new estate agent. He was born out of wedlock, but is trying to move up in the world using his brains. Caro and Adrian can’t agree on how to use some of the fields on the estate. Caro wants to train her horses there, but Adrian thinks it’s better to use them to plant crops. As the dispute rages, Caro and Adrian find that their thoughts are not only about the land, but each other.
This historical romance has a great plot, but I felt the characters lacked chemistry. I really didn’t like Caro, and felt she was a little stuck up. Adrian could have found someone better. Their relationship was filled with many misunderstandings that seemed almost ridiculous. The pace of the novel was slow at the beginning, but the plot twists made me read it until the end. Lastly, this novel’s title doesn’t match the story because Caro was never tamed. An Advanced Reading Copy was received in exchange for an honest review.

Ah, one of my favorite tropes - a young lady and her stable boy. Except, in this case, it was an estate agent. But that just doesn't have the same ring to it. Nonetheless, I sincerely enjoyed the forbidden romance, as unlikely as it appeared to be, even in the end. Both the hero and heroine were fun and courageous, unwilling to let love pass them by.

Lady Caroline Wilde prefers riding astride with the men over sitting in a parlor sipping tea with the ladies. She is bound and determined to prove herself to be as capable as a man, but she is thwarted at every turn. When the new estate agent arrives, she finds an unexpected friend and protector. Adrian Crosby is bastard-born, with a poor mother and an unknown father. His station is beneath Lady Caro's, but there is something about her spirit that calls to him. Despite knowing they could never be together, they begin to fall for each other. Soon a decision must be made between duty and desire.

Caro was such a handful! I loved her spunky character, and her kindness towards other people. Though she was often impulsive and spoke without thinking, she also acknowledged when she was wrong. Adrian was a sweetheart, caring too much in many cases, but his big heart and strong arms made for a warm haven for Caro, who has experienced the rejection of society too often. I loved their romance, though I do find it mostly unrealistic, considering how the story wrapped up. It's very sweet and romantic, but I felt it was a bit beyond the realm of possibility.

This was my first book by this author and surely won't be my last! Highly enjoyable and well written, a pleasure to read.

I had read the previous book in this series and was pleased to find this one available. The plucky heroine of the story is intriguing and different from the typical regency romance h. The H is also quite interesting, and they make a terrific couple. Lady Carolyn loves horses, hunting and doing everything a Lady is not supposed to do, our H is a bastard who learned to be a land steward as he was growing up as the son of a single mother on an Earls estate. They are drawn together and despite his resistance become lovers. She had her heart set on riding in the hunt, but is disappointed when she is thwarted due to the machinations of a rival. The relationship of the couple is revealed and they are forced to separate, He is fired. The story is sweet and interesting, and there is a delightful HEA, with room for another story in the series. Delightful read!

A charming romance! The characters were all strong and interesting, and I loved the equestrian aspect!

a lot of the time the characters in historical romance novels don't necessarily behave in ways that are historically accurate. this is very true of the characters in to tame a wild lady. i was surprised to realize that this was a regency, because given the character's staunch feminism it at least felt mildly victorian, but this was not the case. letting go of the historical accuracy piece is usually not a problem for me, and i did enjoy the novel in spite of the fact that i didn't think the characters were behaving in line with the setting.

lady caroline wilde is horse-mad. she wants to participate in the hunt, something no woman is allowed to do. she's raised and trained her horse all on her own. she's reserved fields of her father's land for her own pursuits, even at the estate's expense. when adrian crosby shows up to take over the estate agent position, caro is instantly attracted to him. he is the by-blown son of the marquess of wyvern, and has left that estate behind for personal reasons related to the second marchioness.

becoming involved with the duke's daughter is not on adrian's agenda. but as their paths keep crossing, the chemistry that sparks between them cannot be denied. figuring out how a duke's daughter and the bastard son of a marquess can be together is a bit of a stretch but the author makes it work somehow. given that caro's sister already married down in a sense in the previous novel in the series, to lure a proper lady, it's clear that this particular duke (caro's father) has had to turn down his expectations of advantageous marriages for his girls.

As absolutley enjoyed this book. Adrian appeared out of no where in a storm to assist what appeared to be two lads in trouble. Both Adrian and Caroline are fighting agaunst the restraints of their birth, one born under the blanket and the other born to priveledge. It takes a patient man to tame the headstrong Lady Caroline and Adrian is up for the job.
