I’ve come to one conclusion: Sawyer Bennett is not human. It seems like she adds to her impressive arsenal of work every couple months with books ranging from romantic suspense and erotica to lighthearted contemporary romance. How is that even possible? How, I ask you?! I don’t know, but as long as she keeps cooking up these sweet sports romances with a hint of spice, I’ll keep gobbling them up like candy. Roman was a tasty treat for me.

Roman is the bad boy of the Cold Fury professional hockey team. His scandalous antics off the ice and his penchant for racking up suspensions due to losing his cool on the ice have put his position with the team in jeopardy. The General Manger, Gray, is not exactly his number one fan at the moment.

Roman meets Lexi and immediately takes a liking to the unconventional barista. Things get complicated when he discovers Lexi is possibly the long-lost daughter that the Fury’s owner, Brian, never knew existed. That would also make her Gray’s half sister. This puts Lexi between a rock and a hard place if she wants to pursue a relationship with her new family as well as Roman.

Lexi is lovely, talented, easy going, and totally quirky but completely comfortable in her own skin. It’s easy to see why everyone is drawn to her. Lexi’s personality and her relationship with her potential father is a major highlight of the story. Her flamboyant surrogate mom, Georgia, is also delightful, and I loved how she’s integrated into the story.

I was totally on board with most of the book, but I did feel like some things are too easy. There’s some great tension between Gray and Lexi, but for the most part, the conflicts are rather easy to resolve, especially with Lexi being so agreeable. Roman effortlessly changes his lifestyle almost overnight except for a couple hiccups, and towards the end of the book it seems like the author is trying to dredge up drama when there just isn’t much there.

The story is told from the perspective of three characters: Lexi, Roman, and Brian. It’s an unusual choice, and one that I really enjoyed. Roman is a nice addition to the series and a satisfying story that’s a winner for this sports romance junkie.

You gotta love these Cold Fury guys!!

Each book stands alone, but they do have interconnections throughout. This one features Roman who is a "balls to the wall" type of guy - both on the ice and off and Lexi who is a free-spirit who enjoys playing the ukulele at the local coffeehouse.

Lexi meets Roman by chance and fate when she finally takes the final step to introduce herself to her father, Brian Brannon who just happens to be the owner of Roman's hockey team, Carolina Cold Fury. Oh - and the GM just happens to be Lexi's half sister and not a big fan of Roman's antics.

While Roman may have a reputation (which is well deserved) of being a bad boy and a player - he is one of the sweetest men of the series, in my opinion. His and Lexi's chemistry is sizzling and Lexi definitely brings out a side to Roman that no other woman has seen.

Add to this that we get to see Brian have his own HEA - that was another favorite part to have his story interlaced with his new daughter's and to enjoy the bantering with Gray and Ryker. It was a true treat all the way around.

And the ending - OMG - you have to have fallen in love with Roman by then. There are certainly bumps along the way - it's hard to try and fit in with your new family, especially when one of them is at odds with your new boyfriend. It's a tricky road to navigate, but Lexi does just fine. I found her character refreshing and Roman was definitely not what I expected. He was sweet, charming and adorable!!

This is a fantastic series and I can't wait for Book #8!

The Cold Fury books have always been a family feel as a organization and team. Roman has a different approach to that theme and it works well. I've always enjoyed them immensely. To see the other side of the Brannon's after the bombshell they got was interesting. Brian was more accepting than other would be and react not as well. You can tell he may be a tough owner but he is a good guy and dad. Gray is pretty similar and a skeptic at times a strict GM when it comes to the team but one you respect.

Roman is bonafide troublemaker off and on the ice, his antics piling up earned him a reprimand from the Cold Fury higher ups who have had it. It's shape up or ship out. It's not gonna be easy for this badboy to follow the rules, that's for sure. It's usually the same antics that you see in many players that you feel it become tiresome and you get labeled with this goon reputation. I see it as something that takes away from you being a great player. I feel conflicted on that side of him while I like his play his heart out mentality and overall charm. He makes for an interesting hero. I totally pictured another real hockey player with the same name reading this though for some reason.

Lexi sees something Roman that's quite similar to her. The way she marches to her own beat and doesn't care. Her style of clothing is pretty funky, free-spirited and funny. A people person, warm and draws you in. Eclectic but cool, not the typical heroine. She's been lonely ever since her mom passed away. Meeting her father for the first time is intimidating also an adventure for her. Plus getting to know a certain hockey player as well. The intense chemistry is pretty obvious and their relationship transitioned smoothly from flirting to more.

Thing is their situation is complicated now. What with the friction with the management aka Gray her sister. That's tough to be in the middle of new found family and a guy you like. It's hard all around, Roman can be defensive it may come off disrespectful, he thinks his plsying style is his own. Gray has to do her job but also still be family. I honestly see something different with Roman around Lexi, it would be a waste of potential. Cause he can really be good guy. Sometimes it takes moment of clarity to realize the important things overlook the pettiness. Lexi was a good influence on everyone I would say.

While comparing books isn't but the last book I read had a similar issues with the troubled player and conflict of interest but felt totally different in ways. I like how the characters are introduced and featured. I appreciated the reality of their situation. Dating an athlete is not easy, having the usual woes of family not liking the guy or what not. As a sports fan, Roman is a typical d-man he gets lots of flak. Sawyer Bennett made it a appealing and entertaining installment of a hockey series I'm fond of. I hope there would still be more books in the series in the future.

This is a great book; this is the seventh book in the Cold Fury Hockey series written by Sawyer Bennett. Roman Sykora is a defenseman for the hockey team Cold Fury and he gets plenty of negative publicity. When he’s not chilling in the penalty box, the sizzling Czech skate demon is racking up tabloid headlines for his scandalous behavior with the ladies. But now Roman’s feeling the burn from management to clean up his act, or else. Luckily he’s got an enticing distraction: a fun loving barista who plays the ukulele and brings out a side of Roman he didn’t know he had. Lexi Robertson came to Raleigh, North Carolina, to finally meet her father, Brian Brannon, and her half sister, Gray, both of whom work in the Cold Fury’s front office. That’s where she first meets sexy, intimidating Roman—who’s really a big softie at heart. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I have chosen to DNF this title...which is rare for me with this author. But there was something about it that didn't work for me, so I gave in at about 50%...I definitely gave this longer than usual based on the author, but in the end, it didn't work for me.

I appreciate the opportunity to read this title and look forward to the next!

Part of the Cold Fury Hockey series, however can be read as a stand-alone. I liked Roman, the lovable bad boy. Roman and Lexi have great chemistry together and the story held my interest throughout. I really liked it.

Hot Tempered Romance

Another fabulous Cold Fury instalment by Sawyer Bennett. This time we get to know Roman Sykora resident team enforcer and bad boy both on and of the field at times.
With emotions running high from various quarters over a number of new and developing relationships this novel is quite quirky and enjoyable to immerse oneself in.
Family dynamics, first impressions and perceptions and a unique artistic talent are all fundamental to this tale.

I loved this book! Roman and Lexi are wonderful characters and they had great chemistry, I loved watching them fall in love! I also loved another more in depth look into the Brannon family. It was wonderful seeing Brian, Grey, Riker and the girls again. I loved watching Lexi interact with her new family and it was really interesting seeing a new side to Grey that we hadn't really seen in her and Riker’s book. Roman on the other hand is sort of confounded by this whole family thing, having been more or less on his own sincere was sent to play overseas at 13 he struggles to relate to some of the things Lexi is facing but is wonderfully supportiveof her even when he doesn't get it. This is a wonderful story about finding your family and knowing who you are. It captured me and refused to let go until the last page was read. If you have read the previous Cold Fury books and enjoyed them I have no doubt you'll enjoy this book as well, if not this book does stand alone fine but I challenge you to read it and not want to go back and read the rest of the series….in fact reading this has made me want to go back and re-read the series. I received an arc of this book from the publisher through net galley in exchange for an honest review.

Another amazing book by Sawyer Bennett! Her books are so good that I don't even like sports, yet I love this hockey series!! She sucks you right into each book of this series!! As I have read each book in this series it has become my favorite!

Roman is on the Cold Fury's team and tends to get a lot of bad publicity. Of course, a good amount of that is justified given the life he leads outside of the ice rink. However, now management has put pressure on him to clean up his act...so that's what he intends to do with a certain hot barista.

Lexi came to NC to meet her dad and her step sister. They both work for Cold Fury in the office. She meets Roman and there are sparks! However, love is never that easy or quick. Follow along in this installment of Cold Fury...you'll be glad you did!!

Thanks to Random House Publishing Group Loveswept via NetGalley for a copy of this amazing book!!

Lexi just found out on her mothers death bed her fathers information and is set out to find him. Shes the type of person who loves to be around family and she really needs this. So while she gets to know him, there will be a paternity results to wait to see if she is who she says she is. On the other half theirs Roman, the typical bad boy of the team, and he pretty much has his sight set on Lexi.

I enjoyed the book I loved how outgoing she was, she seems to fit in any random situation that came her way. I loved that shes the type of girl who gets what she wants, just like the person who might be her sister. So not only will there be Lexi point of view there will be Roman and the man that could very much be her father (Brian). I really loved getting Brians point of view it was sweet and interesting. Getting to see this older man and how he felt about the dating and paternity and just everything that was around him I just loved. There was just so many characters to love. Then there was the story line which was interesting. The overall story was fantastic, I'm trying so hard right now to keep spoilers out so I'm going to end this book. Just hear me when I say you really should check out this book and the series because I've been following along and they are pretty great.

Roman by Sawyer Bennett
Da…rn Woman….. Keep those Cold Fury books coming!!! WHAT A BOOK. I love this series!!! Each and every book in this series, about the Cold Fury team gets better and better. My top three books/players are Max, Ryker and now, I have added Roman to my favorites.
I love a “Bad Boy” that is not as bad as he and everybody else thinks he is. Roman Sykora really has a heart of gold. It just took the right woman, Lexi Robertson. Roman met Lexi at the Cold Fury offices, and from the very first site, knew there was something about her. There is just one problem… she is the, sister of the General Manager, Gray Brannon who happens to hate Roman, and the daughter of the team owner, Brian Brannon.
Lexi returns home to take care of her mom while she loses the battle against cancer. During this time, her mom tells her the story about her father, Brian Brannon and how much she loved him. However, before she knew she was pregnant, he had broken things off. He was still too much in love with his late wife. She never told him she was pregnant. Now, Lexi has come to the Cold Fury office introduce herself to the father she never knew, where she sees Roman for the first time.
I loved watching these two fall in love, but is she ready to stand between Roman and her family? I think so, and you need to read this book to find out how she does it. My heart was in my throat when Lexi leaves her birthday dinner when…. STOP, no spoilers from me, but let me say this, I love when Brian pulls no punches… oops, I said no spoilers.
Thank you, Sawyer Bennett for writing such incredible books. Thank you, Random House Publishing - Loveswept for publishing this phenomenal series. I was gifted with an ARC of this spectacular book for my honest opinion.

CLIFF HANGER: No

4 Stars

*This story is for mature audiences only. Contains explicit scenes and language intended for adults 18+

SYNOPSIS:
New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett steams up the ice all over again as the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team’s hottest bad boy gets his first taste of something good.

In a league full of troublemakers, Cold Fury Defenseman Roman Sýkora stands out—at least when it comes to negative publicity. When he’s not chilling in the penalty box, the sizzling Czech skate demon is racking up tabloid headlines for his scandalous behavior with the ladies. But now Roman’s feeling the burn from management to clean up his act, or else. Luckily, he’s got an enticing distraction: a fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele and brings out a side of Roman he didn’t know he had.

Lexi Robertson came to Raleigh, North Carolina, to finally meet her father, Brian Brannon, and her half-sister, Gray, both of whom work in the Cold Fury’s front office. That’s where she first meets sexy, intimidating Roman—who’s really a big softie at heart. As one relationship takes off, another begins: Brian seems to be clicking with Lexi’s boss at the coffee shop. But when the friction between Roman and her new family heats up, Lexi wonders whether she’s a pawn in their game. Feeling hurt and foolish, Lexi’s ready to quit while she’s ahead. Trouble is, Roman’s not ready to quit on her.

Don’t miss any of Sawyer Bennett’s electrifying Cold Fury novels:

ALEX | GARRETT | ZACK | RYKER | HAWKE | MAX | ROMAN

MY THOUGHTS:
I love sports romance, but hockey romance is by far my favorite! I now have read all seven of these fabulous Carolina Cold Fury Hockey romances and I have loved them all for different reasons. They all have different types of twists to each of them. Now I have a new favorite, Roman! I loved it and flew through the pages!
I am not going to rehash the story for you as the synopsis gives you a good set up of what the book is about. There is drama. there are steamy love scenes between Lexi and Roman, but it is a slow build with lots of flirting and innuendos and they are so sweet together. It is wonderful to see how their growing infatuation turns into a deep caring relationship.

The new twist to this book is there is a concurrent love story developing between Brian Brannon (Lexi’s father that she recently found out about from her dying mother) and Lexi’s free spirited boss Georgia! Let’s just say Georgia really knew how to loosen up that stuck-up suit! Another twist is the family dynamics between Brian, Lexi and her half-sister, Gray. Gray had a hard time adjusting to the idea of sharing her father (Brian). Gray, as general manager of the Cold Fury, had issues with Roman and his personal and professional trouble making ways. Roman didn’t like her management style, so they agreed to disagree and their disdain for one another put Lexi in a bad position; choose between her new family or the man she was falling in love with.

If you love sports romance that has a bit of drama, fun banter, steamy scenes, touching moments, and crazy secondary characters, then give this book a try. You won’t regret it!

Yay! Another super sweet and safe read! I loved Roman. Although we hear he's a bad boy and a bit of a player, I never really saw him like that. He was actually pretty tame. We are told he has a wild past but we never see him act or think anything remotely like that.

Ever since his meeting with Gray, Roman knows that he needs a change. Not so much on the ice, because he feels he is perfectly capable in his role as enforcer. Meeting Lexi is is a bit serendipitous. They meet and instantly click. Their friendship quickly blooms into a sweet and sexy love affair.

I loved that this was such an easy drama free read. There is no OM/OW drama and is largely just a comfy read about two different people finding an enduring love together. I wish I could have given this one a full five stars because I really did enjoy reading about Lexi and Roman, but because of the secondary love story between Lexi's dad Brian and her boss, Georgia, I didn't. Not that I didn't like reading about their HEA but I wanted more page time with Roman and Lexi and was a bit annoyed whenever I had to read about the other couple. Also Gray's constant drama over Lexi (which was too OTT for me) and her antagonism of Roman ended up getting on my nerves! She was just too selfish and mean about the whole thing. Lexi and Roman were way too forgiving in my opinion.

Roman (Cold Fury #7) by Sawyer Bennett
4 stars!!!

“I’m glad someone sees me for what I am.”

Sawyer Bennett always delivers a swoon worthy romance, especially with the Cold Fury hockey team, however, with Roman she gives us two, double the pleasure.

Roman Sykora is the resident bad boy of the Cold Fury and is frequently butting heads with the General Manager, Gray Brannon. Roman is a loose cannon, his reputation on and off the ice is not fantastic. Frequent brawls and suspensions on the ice and plenty of female unsavoury attention off it has kept his name in the press for all the wrong reasons and yet underneath that reputation is a man who is incredibly misunderstood.

“Roman Sykora is one of the team’s bad boys. Maybe the baddest. He’s a nonconformist, a pure beast on the ice and a man who marches to the beat of his own drum.”

Roman is Czech and rose through the ranks in his home country, being on the road and then being signed here there and everywhere meant that Roman had lost contact with all his family and even when he was at home his parents were always working. Left to his own devices from a young age, Roman found his normal and that led to him being closed off and a loner. Not used to sharing anything, especially his emotions have left him a little cold, but he hasn’t met the woman yet that could possibly warm him up.

Lexi Robertson has recently moved to North Carolina and is still finding her feet. Lexi has just lost her mother and before she died her mother told her of her father’s identity…none other than Brian Brannon, the owner of the Cold Fury hockey team. It is when Lexi goes to meet Brian for the first time that she first crosses paths with Roman and the sparks flew.

“Because you’re a woman who plays the ukulele in a coffee shop for tips and I’ve never seen anyone happier in their existence.”

Lexi was adorable with a capital ‘A.’ There was nothing about her that I didn’t like and she really stole the show for me in this book. Lexi has been through the mill and having lost the only family member she had, all she wanted was to know the one that she didn’t. Lexi lived a simple life, and was an adorable ukulele playing woman with a fantastic sense of humour. Lexi’s quick wit leads to some fantastic dialogue and with every scene she just lit up the page.

I loved the chemistry between Roman and Lexi and you could tell that right from the very start that this was a game changer for both of them. Little actions from Roman would mean so much given his past and my heart still hasn’t recovered from his present to Lexi for her birthday (I melted and may have cried a little).

“If it was hard, everyone would do it. I kind of like the challenge.”

The fact that Lexi was the character that made this book is unusual, but I feel that because we have another side love story too, the focus was taken away from Roman and Lexi. I did feel that we didn’t get as deep and meaningful as we usually do with a Sawyer Bennett book, however, I absolutely adored the chapters from Brian’s point of view.

This book was about family too and as I said above, the chapters where we were treated to Brian’s POV really made this book too. Brian had always been a character that we never really knew much about but his POV’s totally showed him in a different light, silver fox and family man were extremely welcomed. Gray’s attitude throughout was a little off and a far cry from the woman we learned to love in Ryker’s book, however, I understood, and add pregnancy hormones into the mix and every woman is entitled to unleash her inner bitch.

“Gray doesn’t know everything…So stop trying so hard to have something with her that you’ll give up a part of yourself to get there.”

I cannot wait for the next one in this series, these books are as addictive as hell and we have Max’s little brother coming into the team, I believe he is up next!!

Holy hockey sticks, I really did not expect such a sweet story for this character in Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury Hockey series. Don’t get me wrong, there was still plenty of smokin’ hot sexiness, but the immediate connection they make with the feeling it is something “more” for both of them made them both realize something special was between them. There were a lot of layers to this story and quite a few subplots in which the romance could have been lost, but Ms. Bennett did a fantastic job of making sure that what was building between these two characters took precedence and everything else revolved around this unique couple. Roman is a feel good romance, there wasn’t a lot of strife or complications between this couple and I loved that neither of them played games, they were very honest and open with what they were thinking and feeling.

Roman Sykora has a reputation as the Cold Fury’s bad boy both on and off the ice and he makes no apologies for either one. From an early age Roman took control of his life and he lives it as he sees fit. Not much on rules, Roman chooses to live life to the fullest so being called in to the general manager’s office for another meeting after his life has once again been splashed in the media is no surprise but the young woman he meets in the reception area is a surprise as is the connection he feels with her.

Lexi Robertson knows her life is going to change the day she sits in the Cold Fury’s reception area waiting to meet with the team’s owner, Brian Bannnon, but she has no idea just how much it will change. Meeting Roman Sykora is like nothing she’s experienced before but what happens when she meets Brian, the man she believes is her father is another thing all together.

Lexi is one of those heroines I love; she is strong, self sufficient, free spirited and smart, but after losing her mother she craves a family connection and while she adores her boss, Georgia, she wants to know the man who fathered her and his daughter, Gray. Her honesty and her quirkiness makes me want to be friends with her and it is those qualities that make both Roman and her father fall quickly for her.

While there is some drama in this book it is not between Lexi and Roman for the most part, no they get along great and they try really hard to keep the animosity between Roman and Gray out of their relationship and while at times it spills over and Lexi take the brunt of it because she’s trying to be a good sister and a good girlfriend, Roman and Lexi are great together. They share everything about their lives, they enjoy each other’s company, they miss each other when their schedules conflict, they love teasing one another, but most of all they have a deep respect for one another.

Ms. Bennett offers up another fantastic romance in Roman and it let me with warm and fuzzy feelings on many levels; it was a book about all different kinds of relationships as well as dealing with what life throws at you when you least expect it.

The sexy men of Cold Fury are back and this time, Roman heats up the ice.

If you read the last installment, you would have met Max, the ultimate good guy. Well, Roman happens to be the ultimate bad boy of the team, but trust me when I say, you're going to love him just as much!!!

He's complex though. Don't let his bad boy ways fool you. Deep down, he's a good guy where it matters, and will have you swooning in no time. He's charming and dirty all at once, and is highly irresistible because of it.

I just adored Lexi. Not only is she smart, confident, and level-headed, but she marches to the beat of her own drum. She lives outside the box, and though she may not have what others would consider ideal, she's happy with herself.

Put these two together, and the sparks will fly. It has plenty of feels and other additional story lines in play that will highly entertain you. It's another feel-good story in the Cold Fury series. And if you haven't read any of these books yet, I highly recommend picking one up (I'm partial to Zack's story).

Five-star read!

First of all, this cover.....Yum! Secondly....Cold Fury hockey....Winner! I just adore this series. Each player has been fun in their own way and you would think that by the 7th book, things would get repetitive, but Sawyer Bennett has a way with her storytelling that makes each player's story unique.

Roman Sykora has been on his own really since he left the Czech Republic to play hockey at the age of thirteen. His parents were too much into themselves to care all that much. Roman plays by his rules and doesn't care about any fallout as long as it makes him happy. He has never had a serious relationship and is known more as a player. Of course this doesn't sit too well with his boss, Gray Brannon. When Roman is summoned to Gray's office he sees this cute, quirky female waiting in the waiting room. She is not his normal type, but he is very intrigued. Enter Lexi Robertson.

Lexi Robertson happens to be Gray Brannon's half-sister and Brian Brannon, Cold Fury Hockey CEO's daughter. Quickly these two just sizzle. As Roman spends more time with Lexi he starts to realize he really likes this fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele.

As Lexi is trying to fit into her new family, friction continues between Gray and Roman. It was fun seeing Gray's protective big-sister act come into play. Lexi longs to be part of family again while Roman wants nothing to do with a family since he never really had one. Their relationship is really put through a test but it was worth it in the end when they finally got to their happy ending.

A secondary story line was with Brian Brannon and Lexi's boss, Georgia Mack. I just adored this fun story. They are both great together and brought some fun, laugh out loud moments.

Another Cold Fury winner from Sawyer Bennett!

Ahhhh, Roman! Another amazing Cold Hockey team member by Sawyer Bennett. I know he tries to come across as someone who knows he is good at what he does, but doesn't care about anything else, but boy, that was not how I saw him. Sawyer Bennett does another great job at giving us a complicated male and watching him be tamed by a woman. And Lexi is some kind of interesting woman. The storyline is obviously much more complex than this, with several relationships and plotlines going on, but suffice it to say, even if you are not a "Sports Romance Fan", this book is as fun as it gets. Great relationships, great storyline, and as always, wonderful writing by Sawyer Bennett. Thanks as always to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review!

I have enjoyed the Cold Fury hockey team from the very beginning and patiently wait for each next book after reading the last. I love the way Sawyer brings the family feeling into this hockey series. They are so much more than just teammates. We have watched many a player grow into the men they are meant to be.

Roman is known on the ice as the enforcer, he plays hard and he protects his net and fellow players hard. Off the ice he has also managed to find himself a little bit of a reputation and it has not been on the good side very often. Not being close to his family as he left home for hockey at the age of 13 he has sort of danced to the beat of his own drum. Commitment was the very last thing on his mind. When he meets a quirky woman who has a style all of her own, he might be in for some trouble.

Lexi has changed pretty drastically in the past year and it has been anything but fun. Being the strong independent woman her mother raised her to be, she is working at moving on. Now that she seems to have established her place here in this new town, she needs to take the next step. Time to see if she can find the extended family she didn't know she had. The last thing she expected to get out of this adventure was a hot headed hockey player.

Can Roman prove to everyone that he can change and except the responsibilities? Will business get in the way of family and love? Will Lexi find the happy ending she was hoping for when she arrived?

And now the wait begins again, can't wait to see what will happen next in the world of Cold Fury.

I can’t help it . . . I love an alpha man. Always have.

Don't we all? And there's one very yummy one in Roman. One who'll melt your heart *and* your panties with his good-man-hidden-under-a-bad-boy-exterior ways. Which is to say—Roman isn't who you expect him to be, and it's not only a pleasant twist, it's a welcome one. Because he's not just one thing. He's alpha, he's an enforcer, he's arrogant and cocky. He’s also thoughtful, giving, funny and sexy AF.

And that makes him the full package.

Which, in turn, makes this entire book the full package. Roman is Sawyer Bennett at her swoony best, balancing not one but TWO love stories (more, if you include familial love in the equation), with a quirky heroine, delicious dirty talk, hot hockey players (I see you, Ryker Evans and Alex Crossman), and some awkward tension that reminds us that families are families—with warts and all—regardless of whether they're real or fictional.

I make no secret of the fact I am a HUGE fan of Ms. Bennett’s, and it's because I know when I open her books I'm going to find, in no particular order, a reason to smile and to laugh, an unexpected ache in my feels, and several reasons for a cold shower. Oh, and an alpha male to love. Let's not forget that.

And I'm going to find them all wrapped up in a love story that is the stuff of fairytales—with a fun spin that makes it both believable and dreamy. Which I love. Always have.

Always will.

“I don’t have sex on the first date. Well, not always. Sometimes. It depends on how it goes.”

~ FIVE STARS ~
