I kind of came into the Cold Fury Series late in the game and started with Max. I was completely surprised about how much I liked him because he was so freaking sweet and that isn't normally my thing. What is my thing? Bad boys and jerks. So when I read the blurb for Roman, I was instantly excited and admittedly had high hopes. While I enjoyed this book, I felt like I was missing the bad boy part of it. I needed more of that.
Roman is the rebel of the Cold Fury hockey team. Both professionally and personally. He's never really had to listen to anyone and he pretty much just plays by his own rules. Lately, that's gotten him into some trouble and he's been asked to dial it back. He doesn't really have any desire to do that until he runs meets Lexi. There's something about her eccentric personality that calls to him.
Lexi is new to town, searching to connect with the father that she just learned about. Her main focus is to get to know both her father and her half sister, who just so happens to be the CEO and GM of Cold Fury. As they work to get to know each other, a protectiveness forms and warnings start flying about the bad boy hockey player. Lexi must face a reality where the man she wants to be with just might not be the man her new family approves of.
This book almost had two different stories in it that were all connected. There are POV from Brian Brannon, which is the father that Lexi learns about and confronts him. While I enjoyed his POV, I think it took a little aways from Roman and Lexi's story. Honestly, I was more intrigued with him and his love interest, Georgia by the end of it. I'm kind of torn because without it, I wouldn't get the full experience of the family aspect since he brings a lot to the table with that but at the same time I got distracted with him and almost put Lexi and Roman in the backseat.
Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy this book. I just felt like I wasn't able to give my full attention to the main love story so it felt slightly off for me.
If you are looking for a bad boy who is actually a sweetheart, then this is the book for you.

Loved , Loved this engaging as well as enthralling sports romance that has so much more going for it than a regular sports romance. Sawyer Bennett sure knows how to bring it with a cast of characters that are so relatable and made for each other as well as each story in this series is better than the last. Loved the triple POV in this story it was brilliant. The romance is fresh and different but always heartwarming because these men are all about their women.
Loved Lexi Robertson who has come to Raleigh North Carolina to meet her father and half sister but along the way meets Roman Sykora. Loved Lexi's with her quirky, laid back yet charming personality along with her ukulele playing.
Loved cocky, Roman that he was so intrigued by Lexi that his playboy, bad boy ways were immediately a thing of the past.
But I really loved that we were gifted with two Love stories in this story. Loved seeing Lexi's father get swept off his feet by her boss, and mother figure Georgia, with her sexy, sassy, straight shooting southern, gal demanding ways.
Sawyer Bennett writing is engaging, enthralling and she also gave us pages of delicious sexiness as well as a story that was her most romantic yet. I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love and was utterly giddy, smiling like a young school girl in love.
Finding Love and a new family with a lot of Hotness was a winner or goal. Couldn't put it down and read this in one sitting. Loved it! Highly recommended!
I voluntarily requested an ARC of this book through NetGalley and agreed to post a honest review.

While Roman isn’t my favorite book in Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury series, I did enjoy it and this series is one of my favorite in sports romance. This installment is slightly different as there is a third point of view added to the mix and an additional romance with its secondary characters.
Lexi Robertson moves to Raleigh, North Carolina after her mother passes away to meet Brian Brannon and and inform him that he’s her father. Brian is a long-time widower and the owner of the Cold Fury professional hockey team, and he never knew Lexi existed. While he readily accepts her as his daughter, his other daughter Gray is leery of her and wonders if she's after something more than just a reunion. Lexi also wants to get to know Gray as she and Brian are her only family left; therefore, her standoffish nature doesn’t make things easy.
Lexi meets Cold Fury player Roman Sykora just as she’s meeting Brian and Gray, and the two have a chemistry that begs further exploration. Of course, dating one of her dad’s players would only make a complicated situation that much more complicated, especially since Roman is not Gray’s favorite player.
Roman is a great hockey player but he is also an unrepentant ladies man who never backs down from a fight and garners a lot of negative publicity for the team. He wants Lexi and pursues her, and he is surprised with how much he wants her and wants to date her because he’s never wanted more than a one night stand from a woman. While he definitely wants more with her, he’s never had a relationship before and also feels awkward interacting with Lexi as she, Gray and Brian grow closer. He’s also never had a close family and is uncomfortable with the dynamic.
I liked Roman and Lexi, but I had a bit of a hard time believing their romance. It fell a little flat for me, and I wanted more emotion. One of the cuter aspects of Roman is when we hear Brian’s point of view as he meets Lexi’s boss, Georgia, and a romance is born between them. Their developing relationship actually is what gives Roman heart. - Janet Reads Books

Roman was the team bad boy that fell hard and fast for the sweet quirky barista, Lexi. This was a cute, sweet, fun story that I really enjoyed.

I feel like I always say something about my big love for hockey players when I review a Cold Fury book, but it’s true! Roman made my toes curl in many ways. Of course the fact that he’s a bad boy didn’t make me blink even once. I’m not usually one for enforcers when it comes to hockey. They break up the game, and I think here in Europe, hockey is different from the way it’s played in the US. One thing I really enjoyed with Roman was that we got more than one glimpse into former main characters’ lives. We got Gray and Ryker front and center, with Brian Brannon way in front of them.
Roman and his bad-boy ways were on the agenda for the beginning of the story, as he was called in for a meeting with Gray. He met Lexi in the reception area near the offices and immediately decided he wanted to get to know her better. She was nervous because she had a meeting with Brian. And what she had to tell him could be a complete hit or miss. Letting a man know he had a long-lost daughter by a lover he had left was not an easy feat. The fact that Brian hadn’t even known Lexi’s mom was pregnant didn’t change his feelings of being left out, though.
Between the romance and Lexi getting to know her father and half-sister, Roman was a sweet story. It had a nice pace, and the emotions it evoked in me were strong and real. I would have been even happier if Brian had gotten his own full-length novel, though. As I think more mature lovers are just as great as the younger generation.
The intricate relationships, both between Lexi and Roman, and also between Lexie and Gray, or Brian and Lexi’s boss and good friend were well done. The characters are all fleshed out and realistic, and as always, I enjoyed my stay in North Carolina with the hottest of fictional hockey-players. Written in either first or third person point of view, from varying characters’ perspectives, I enjoyed spending time with them all. The past tense and quick-witted dialogues made the narrative very life-like, too, and I can only recommend you get your hands on this when it’s released tomorrow

Roman is the bad boy of the Carolina Cold Fury team. Sex scandals, game ejections, and tardiness to practice are his life. Gray, the GM of the team, however, demands a change in his behavior or the team will have to let him go. On the same day as his meeting with Gray, he meets a very quirky girl waiting to speak to Brian, Gray's father. He finds her intriguing immediately and is thrilled to run into her again a day later.
Lexi, the quirky girl, was there to meet and introduce herself to her father, Brian, and sister, Gray. She only learned of them 10 months ago. Brian and Gray had no idea she existed. Brian is welcoming but Gray is skeptical and not very kind. She feels that Lexi might have ulterior motives for seeking out the wealthy and connected Brannon family. Lexi however is very kind and gracious even in the face of this treatment from Gray. Lexi was an odd character for me. I couldn't quite connect to her. She is described as having this weird sense of style, but I never felt like I could picture it. I wasn't sure what to make of her. But then Roman said something profound about her and she totally made sense to me. I think because she was so very different from me, I couldn't figure her out. Roman figured her out though, and it was beautiful.
Roman is the type of character I am kind of getting tired of seeing. Bad boy athletes are just getting to be very cliche. But, here is the thing, Roman wasn't a bad boy in the book at all. Gray treats him like dirt because of his past so I think that affected my perception of him early on; I loved Gray in the previous books, so as a reader, she was more trustworthy to me at the beginning of the book. However, it didn't take long for me to see she was being unfairly prejudicial.
Roman and Lexi's story is something I didn't realize I would love. I couldn't connect with Lexi and I was so over the bad boy athlete. But, those are stereotypes that were pushed on these characters and their story was nothing like I expected. Roman doesn't have any 'other woman' drama, Lexi isn't soul searching to find her life's purpose, and once I got over my preconceived notions about what I thought this book would be, I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish. Worth every lost hour of sleep, in my opinion!
Some chapters are from Brian's POV and you get a cute, odd love story for him as well.

I always look forward to a Cold Fury Hockey Romance and Roman was another enjoyable stand alone read from this series.
This book was a little different to its predecessors as it's told from multiple POV's, however, this didn't impede my enjoyment and still remained easy to follow and flowed relly well. Lexi and Roman had great chemistry from the off and I liked that there was no messing around and they both went all in from the get go. I have to say that I loved Lexi; sweet, likebale, sassy and someone that you'd love to have in your corner. I can't say that I really connected to Roman but I must say that I loved how he had his flaws but owned them and we get to see him really grow through the story.
Roman was a nice easy read. It had plenty of steam; the right amout of drama and I certainly enjoyed it.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley; there was no inducement or obligation.

This pains me to say, because I'm a fan of both this author and this series, but I did not enjoy this one. I didn't like either Roman or Lexi. First of all, Roman is a jerk. And not a smoldering grumpy alpha kind of jerk. He can't understand why the front office is upset by his behavior...... Gee, can't imagine. Being on time is a simple, thing to do, and that he isn't says that he doesn't think other people's time is as valuable as his. It's rude. Especially if a whole team is waiting for him. And all the other "bad boy behavior " is just him failing to have any control over his behavior. And yes, as a boss Grey has every right to tell him his behavior will not be tolerated. Then Lexi. She can't figure out why Grey might question her motives... Can't understand why she might think Lexi was after the family's money. Really? Of course it's a concern! And she doesn't know hockey so why is she running her mouth and telling Roman it's all good! Ugh. Didn't like either one of them. And then the end seemed like it was just thrown together in 10 pages and slapped with a bow for a HEA. I was horribly disappointed by this one.

Oh these Carolina Cold Fury men. Each have something that makes my heart beat faster. This is Roman Sýkora, he is a bad boy on the ice and a ladies man off. And he gets more than his share of negative press. When he is called in to the managers office and told to tone it down, he thinks it's only hockey and fighting on the ice is part of the game and the women come with the bad boy image, so why change.
Lexi Robertson is just a ukulele playing barista. She came to Raleigh to meet her father Brian Brannon and half sister Gray, CEO and manager of the world championship hockey team. She has learned a little about hockey, not really but she wants to. While sitting in the waiting room to finally meet her Dad, she meets the sexy bad boy Roman. He first seems intimidating but turns out he is more of a loaner with a big heart.
And then there is Brian Brannon, a 61 year young stud. As to quote Georgia. He has basically been alone since Gray's Mom died. Yes he has dated but no one got under his skin like Georgia has. And Brian never thought that he would be drawn to a wild, speak what's on her mind kinda woman. But he just might be falling fast. And Georgia is falling too.
Will Lexi let Roman and Gray's dislike for each other cause her to be unhappy? Will Roman let Lexi leave him or will he swallow his pride to keep her? Can Brian and Lexi help Roman and Gray move from this child-like feud? Can Georgia and Brian keep the feelings strong and have the perfect relationship?
Sawyer Bennett has done it again, she knows how to write these sexy, brooding men that we all fall for. This is not just one perfect story with Roman and Lexi, it is two including Brian and Georgia. I am loving everything about this series and I can't wait Lucas' story.

Roman is a troublemaker, bad boy, and all around player but he has met the one makes him look twice and she turns out to be the secret daughter of the CEO of the Cold Fury and half sister of the General Manager (AKA his boss). Lexi and Roman just happen to meet as she is waiting for an appointment with Brian Bannon and he is heading in to a meeting with Gray. Oh what a tangled web this turns out to be but it is so worth it. Lexi is all sorts of goodness wrapped up in a ukulele playing barista. Can she tame the bad boy?
This series just keeps getting better! Each of these can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this book. I was surprised by how many things were happening during the story and how nicely everything worked together. Although this is the seventh book in the Cold Fury Hockey series, it could be read as a stand alone novel since each book in the series really does tell its own story. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing characters from previous books play an important role in this installment. This was a story that hooked me right away and I found myself having a hard time setting the book aside.
Lexi is an amazing character and really the focus of this story. This book wasn't only focused on romance although romance played an important role. Lexi has moved to town in order to meet her father, who happens to be Brian Brannon, the owner of the Cold Fury Hockey Team. Lexi's father doesn't know anything about her until they meet. During her first trip to the Cold Fury office, Lexi meets Roman and there is an instant attraction.
I liked Lexi and Roman together and thought that they made a great couple. They just seemed really good for each other and had a lot of chemistry. It was fun watching bad boy Roman try to figure out how to be in a relationship. I also really liked watching the relationship between Lexi and her father develop. They accepted each other almost immediately and it seemed so right. Lexi's relationship with Gray was a little more painful to see develop but it felt completely realistic.
I really liked the fact that this book was told from three different points of view. I didn't expect it but it really worked well. Getting a chance to really see what was happening from Lexi, Roman, and Brian's point of view really made the story work. Each character had a lot of emotions wrapped up in everything that was going on and getting a chance to be in their head for part of the book just made everything feel more real.
I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This book really tells a big story with a lot of emotion and it was really nice to watch everything develop. I can't wait to read the next book in this fun series!
I received an advance reader edition of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

This is Book 7 in the "Cold Fury Hockey" Series and it is the story of Roman and Lexi. There is also a lot of action for Cold Fury Hockey Team Owner Brian Brannon and his daughter Gray.
Roman is the team's bad boy and his attitude is bringing him problems with the team's management. He meets Lexi by chance and he is instantly attracted to her. The chemistry between them is awesome and the romance is sweet and I really enjoyed Lexi's personality. Roman is more a lonely boy than a bad boy and Lexi earns his heart very quickly.
As always Sawyer Bennett delivers a story with a nice plot, great main characters, interesting second characters and an amazing romance!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I really liked Roman and Lexi's story. Roman is one of the newest members on the Cold Fury team and has all the bad boy attitude and ladies man personality. He likes to be rough on the ice and loose with the ladies off the ice. He's never had super close relations with his family. But, when he meets Lexi, his life turns upside down.
Bringing Lexi in to the Cold Fury series also brings in another story line involving Brian Brannon, Owner of the Cold Fury team. This story was just as much about Brian and his happiness as it was Roman and Lexi's story.
Again, Sawyer Bennett does an amazing job tying in all the different Cold Fury characters. The reader gets an update on many of the characters and falls in love with those characters all over again! Sawyer Bennett continues to be one of my favorite authors. Congrats on a great addition to the series! I look forward to more!

Roman is another good book in the Cold Fury series. Roman is a balls to the wall hockey player who gives 110% to the sport. He doesn't have anything else in his life and lives for the game. He doesn't have the greatest reputation and is often in trouble with management. When he meets Lexie, he never thought he'd want more than a night with her, but she stole his heart when he wasn't looking. Lexie has come to town to find the family she didn't know about until recently. She is proud of who she is and what she has accomplished on her own. Roman and her new family can't help but to fall in love with her.
This was a really good read and it was fun to watch Roman figure out what a real relationship is. For someone who hasn't had to or wanted to make time for others, it was fun to watch him as he wanted desperately to make Lexie happy and couldn't get enough of her. This was a good read. I loved catching up with some of the others that we've met throughout the series as well. Good read.

Sawyer has done it again, Roman is so lovable. Roman and Lexi have a strong sexual tension between them, but there is also something much deeper going on with them. I absolutely loved this book. Roman was strong, brash, sexy and lovable. Lexi was adorable, funny, strong and all around the best. These two together was amazing and I want more of these two. I can't wait for the next one.

3.75 STÀRS
3.75 is such an ambivalent rating and I usually only use the .75 ones when I'm really torn about it. I love Sawyer Bennett's flavor of low angst stories and I enjoyed Roman quite a bit.
Just before her mom passed away more than half a year ago she told Lexi the truth about her father. Equipped with the knowledge that he is Cold Fury's owner she moves to Raleigh. While nervously waiting on her appointment with him she runs into one of the team's defenseman, the super handsome badboy Roman Sykora. They click instantly.
Roman has an unfortunate reason to be called to see the management. His antics seem to escalate, the penalty box seems to be his second home and his suspensions do not please Gray, manager of the team, either. He has to shape up and get over himself or facing being released from the Cold Furies. When he meets the sweet Lexi he is instantly enchanted.
Lexi is a pretty straight forward girl. She has spirit and sass, a backbone and a lot of other traits I look for in a heroine. She is comfortable with who she is and happy with the life she is leading. I loved that Lexi and Roman had a sweet and playful connection without too much drama. What made this story so sweet is that there was no doubt about where they were headed as soon as they made the decision to get serious.
Roman is the badboy out of the book. He is unapologetic about it and sometimes even a bit defiant, especially when it comes to Gray who he has a personal beef with. When Lexi comes into his life he gradually changes and I really loved to watch him transform from the player to the devoted boyfriend.
This story doesn't only have two POV between the hero and heroine, it also shows the emotional world of Lexi's and Gray's dad Brian and I think that was the problem here. While I loved Brian and his connection with his newly found daughter it distracted from Roman's and Lexi's story and disconnected me from them. I never felt the raging chemistry some of the other characters had - yet it was still a very sweet story and if you crave some low drama and quick read this is perfect. Next up is Max' little brother Luc!

In the latest in the Cold Fury series, Sawyer Bennett tackles the bad boy of the team, Roman. Roman is always ready to throw down for a fight or to find his next conquest. That’s all catching up to him and he’s feeling the heat from upper management, when he meets Lexi.
Lexi is a mystery all on her own. She finds herself in North Carolina looking for her unsuspecting father, Brian the CEO owner of the Cold Fury. Eek! She’s not sure what she’s going to find but she’s determined to meet him and hopefully gain a relationship with her father and her new sister, Grey.
“Let’s get drunk and lose our inhibitions,” he suggests, and I look over my shoulder at him to find him sitting on my couch and unlacing his shoes, which are more like low boots and clearly more expensive than mine.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.: I laugh as I pull two bottles of beer out of my fridge. “You are so bad.”
Roman is a complicated character while seemingly not appearing to be. The quintessential bad boy, he doesn’t deal with deep connections. However, he has an instant spark with Lexi that quickly changes into more. Roman isn’t used to having people around him, his parents live halfway across the world and have been mostly absent from his life. Now that he’s been thrust into the forefront of a new family, he doesn’t know if he’s ready for it. But, Lexi might just prove to be the catalyst to better Roman.
Lexi and Roman’s relationship starts off easily and as their connection grows they realize that it also takes work and compromise. Their chemistry is red-hot! Their relationship is so much fun and was so entertaining to read. But they’re not the only ones you root for. There are also side characters that tug at your heartstrings! The family dynamic that exists in this story is multi-layered. There’s the cold fury family, Lexi’s family, and new friendships. These familial relationships show how tight knit the Cold Fury team is. The look out for each other and in Roman, it is evident that they cheer each other on as well.
The title of the book is Roman but this is so much more than just a story about Roman finding a connection with Lexi. It’s about new beginnings and letting people into your life at any level, not just romantically. Lexi finding her family is a big part of the story. She gains so much from them and they gain even more from her. Lexi is completely different from Brian and Grey. She’s a free spirit that works as a barista and also plays the ukulele. Lexi is a great heroine; she’s funny and extremely open to all of these new people. She may be a newcomer on the scene but with her effervescent and easygoing personality she quickly becomes the glue that holds them together.
Roman is a great addition to the Cold Fury series. There’s updates on many old characters and even some new developments that are exciting! Roman packs heat, heart, and humor and will demand for it to be read in one sitting.

When I first realized that the books in the Cold Fury hockey series would revisit the same season over and over again but each time from a different player's perspective, I was honestly worried that the stories would get tired and redundant.
However, the cool thing is that I found the complete opposite to be true. Each book brings a fresh outlook and a fun, new story that's different from the last. It's been awesome to see how one period of time can be so different for so many people who are basically encompassing the same experiences.
The latest release follows Roman's season. He's the team bad boy - on and off the ice - and after a few bad choices, he finds himself fighting to stay on the team. That struggle becomes even worse when he becomes smitten with the one girl who should be completely off-limits, Lexi.
Sweet Jesus. Roman and Lexi... these two are this lightning storm of passion. From the first moments they interact, they have this crazy, intense chemistry. Sparks fly as they verbally challenge one another with their quick wit and banter. It's hella hot and it leaves you praying that they give into their lust.
They just have one major stumbling block. See Lexi just recently introduced herself to her father and sister - they had no clue that she existed. And now, she's desperately trying to find her place in their world as the owner's daughter. Complicating the matter, her new sister - who is also the team's general manager - does not like Roman nor does she know what to do with this new relationship wither Lexi.
It's just a hot mess. So Lexi and Roman fight the feelings they have for one another. However, that decision hurts them both and leaves them wishing things could be different.
It's a bit of an up hill battle to get things worked out but Roman and Lexi's romance was entertaining as hell. I loved every minute I spent with them. I devoured all their heartache and drama, desperately craving more from them. It's an excellent romance and a fabulous addition to the Cold Fury series. I highly recommend you check this series out - it's definitely a winner!

***4 ‘Sometimes It’s All About the Ukulele’ Stars***
This series just does it for me. It sucks me in and does let go until the very end and leaves me wanting the next book like yesterday and Roman did just that. I swear I had a dopey smile on my face for the mass majority of the book and was damn happy I had my war paint on in order to hide the my reaction to the smeyness that was Roman and Lexi as they figured out just what they wanted from each other.
Roman is the bad boy of the Carolina Cold Fury on and off the ice and absolutely unapologetic about it. He has issues with authority and has a tendency to react without truly thinking things through at times, but he also gives his all to his team, at least when he’s on the ice. I honestly loved Roman even though he could be a cocky, unrepentant bastard because underneath all of that was a man with a passionate soul and a good heart. I spent half the book swooning over him and the other half wanting to smack him upside the head as he realized he could still be a badass without being an ass.
Lexi is a free spirit with a heart just as big. She’s learned a lot by living life and going where her heart has taken her and has found happiness and contentment in her chosen career that most never do. I adored Lexi. She had a good head on her shoulders, approaches most everything in a mature manner and was simply a good person. Lexi is that person that will end up having a short yet meaningful conversation with a stranger and leave that person in a better place in the end. I loved how she did her best to remain unbiased, but there were times when I really wanted her to give some people a piece of her mind. And I have to add that Lexi (and Ms. Bennett) get bonus points for giving love to Braddah Iz. It made my hawaii girl heart happy to see the man get some love.
Roman and Lexi’s budding relationship was fun to experience because it felt natural. They had great chemistry, I loved their bantering throughout the story and holy hell was the smexy HOT! Their road wasn’t pothole free, but the drama that they themselves created was pretty mild in comparison to what could have happened and I really liked how they actually communicated like adults and worked things out and liked where they were in the end.
As for the drama in the book. Roman and Gray ~ who I still love to death ~ had me wanting to smack both of them upside the head with a 2x4. While I could understand where they were both coming from, they both handled things wrong and acted like two year olds throwing temper tantrums instead of the adults that they were. The good that came out of their issues was getting to see just how good of a person Lexi was and how mature she was. The twist that finally has them adulting was not expected, but I’m happy they finally got their shit together.
We also have an added bonus in Roman and that’s Brian Brannon getting his own second chance HEA. It was sweet and fun and I just ended up really liking Brian and Georgia. I loved getting to know the man behind the Cold Fury as well as getting his POV on Lexi and Gray and all that was going on with having a 20 something woman walk into your office and say that you’re her father.
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed the writing and the multiple first person POV’s and though I would have liked to catch up with some of the other Cold Fury guys, I loved catching up with Ryker (who is still my favorite) Ruby and Violet and can’t wait for Luc’s book!

3.5 - The next chapter in my life is starting... Stars!
We return to the Cold Fury Hockey team for the seventh book in Sawyer Bennett’s ever popular series.
"I admire honesty."
This is one of those books that I didn’t struggle to read, but at the end of it didn’t really have any overwhelming feelings for it either way. Gray Brannon was the only person who actually pulled any sort of reaction from me, and that was utter dislike, which if I am honest wasn’t a huge surprise as I disliked her intensely in Ryker. Roman and Lexi were pretty cute as a couple but nothing really stood out as new or unique about their story.
"Your secret is safe with me."
Bad boy, nah not-so-much. Yeah he slept around in the past, but what’s unusual about a young, attractive, famous hockey player tearing it up between the sheets… Nothing. And he was totally devoted to Lexi from the get-go. Brawler on the ice for sure, but I just found him an all-round nice guy. Lexi was the same, nice…
"I’m glad someone sees me for what I am."
And I think that’s my overall phrase for the book, because take out the whole Gray situation, everything else was just nice. You get three POV’s in this book, sixty-one year old Bryan Brannon being the third, I suppose it added a little to the story, but for me there wasn’t any real depth or emotion to any of it from any of them.
"You can drool on me anytime."
Luc Fournier (Max’s brother) is up next, due in September 17, and I am hoping are given a story that I can sink my teeth into. I have had a bit of a giggle over the cover for his book, as he is apparently the younger of the Fournier brothers, but he looks about a decade older than Max, if you go by his current cover. Although to be honest the covers from this series kind of lost their impact after Ryker, as has the series in general really…
