Roman Sýkora is a bad boy through and through. Enforcer for the Carolina Cold Fury, he takes his role more than seriously, which means he spends a lot of time in the penalty box. As a man about town, if he sees what he wants, he usually takes it, especially if it’s freely thrown at him. He’s been a loner since his teenage years and he lives life by his own rules, and is happy leading the transient life of a hockey player. Family doesn’t mean a great deal to him.

Lexi Robertson is a bright, free spirit. She lost her mother, her only close relative, ten months previously, and has come to Raleigh to meet the father she never knew, Brian Brannon, owner and CEO of the Cold Fury. She’s lonely and wants to be part of a family, again.

“There’s something between us…you know it. It’s different. It’s mysterious. But it’s real and we’re both ready.”

When they meet, there’s a definite spark between them, but their budding romance is hindered by Roman’s bad relationship with the team’s general manager, Gray Brannon – Lexi’s newfound half-sister. Lexi’s desperate to settle into her new family, but Roman might just be the man to give her lifelong happiness.

In the meantime, there’s romance in the air for Brian, too!

This was a great, heartwarming story. Roman and Lexi are quite similar in character, both alone, both living by their own rules. Lexi’s happy-go-lucky, free-spirited, fun personality charms Roman completely. She’s so different from anyone he’s ever met and he’s willing to see where things go. In turn, Roman’s alpha tendency and sexy accent really turn Lexi on, as well as his thoughtfulness. She’s knows that under that bad boy persona lurks a man with a big, soft heart. I must say that MY heart melted when he gave her the surprise birthday present!

The other thing I loved about his novel was Brian’s POV. He’s such a great guy! It was sweet how open and welcoming he was to Lexi, and his excitement at discovering he has another daughter. I adored the chemistry between him and Georgia, and how she shook up his life and brought excitement to it. These two really made me smile!

Another great read from this author and highly recommend!

Lexi comes to Raleigh to meet her father Brian who is the owner of Cold Fury. She's come to try and get to know her father, her half sister is the GM of the team and works in the office. Gray isn't exactly what I'd call sister material. Lexi does get on well with her Father. It was a delight watching their relationship unfold, as well as Brian's new found happy place.
It's there she meets Roman, who is the tough guy (read teddy bear) and these two click like two peas in the pod. It's a rare read that puts two people together the way Sawyer matched these two. I loved it. It was honest and real. Despite Gray being a witch on a broom and trying to thwart things between them, they were smarter than that and just kind of rolled with it. Very little angst and that's my kind of book.
It's a great read, this is my favorite so far. Sawyer wrote this to perfection.

Roman Sykora is a bad boy on and off the ice. He beats to his own drum and does not always see eye to eye with the Cold Fury management especially Gray Brannon. Lexi Robertson is a fun-loving, ukulele playing barista, who comes to North Carolina to meet her father. Roman and Lexi’s relationship develops and despite some interference from Gray Brannon, they get their HEA. This is one of my favorite Cold Fury books; I love Roman, he is a sexy bad boy, I enjoy the chemistry between him and Lexi, but the secondary relationship between Brian Brannon and Georgia Mack is highly entertaining. This book is vintage Sawyer, steamy, sexy, funny, and a compulsive read.

What can I say? This Cold Fury series can go on forever and I'd be a very happy reader. Again, Ms. Bennett knows how to suck you into a story that you never want to come out of. The men of this hockey team are romantic alphas and knows how to win over the ladies.

Lexi Robertson has always been content with her life, but when she learns who her father is, she wants more. She wants a family. So she seeks out the highly famous and rich team owner of the Cold Fury hockey team, Brian Brannon. Her father. The first hurdle is telling him the truth. The second, is getting to know her sister, Grayson.

In the meantime, she ends up meeting the bad boy on the ice, Roman Sýkora. Roman is already on thin ice with management. He's hot-headed and his reputation with the groupies doesn't sit well with Gray. She needs him to straighten up or else.

Roman is intrigued by the quirky Lexi, there's something about this girl that makes him want to "settle." But dating the owner's daughter causes some chaos and worries on the team.

Again, I can't say how much I love this series and can't wait for the next installment in the Cold Fury series.

Another home run (or should that be goal??) in the Cold Fury series from Ms. Bennett. Roman is a little bit cocky, a bit of a troublemaker, and a whole lot of yummy. Being called to the GM's office isn't anything new for Roman. Being the teams enforcer has landed him in trouble more than once. This time though while waiting to be called in he meets the most interesting woman he's met in a long time. Lexi Robertson is definitely a woman he wants to know better. Will she give him a chance when her newly found sister fills her in on his reputation?? Trust me you want to find out. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this one.

Ohhh I loved this book for many reasons, but one was that it was a multi-layered book. It had two very important stories going on at once and I FLOVED it!!!!
Roman a bad boy who does what he wants and Lexi was a sweet girl who does what everyone else wants...these two could have not been more opposite. What they say is true about opposite's attracting. From the minute they both laid eyes on each other you knew there was a spark between them. Roman was a player and not looking to settle down when he stumbled upon Lexi. Lexi was certainly not looking for anything when Roman sought her out.
I love a story that has the two main characters so vastly different from each other yet they can find common ground enough to enjoy being with each other.
Lexi was dealing with some family issues at the time she met Roman, which was another story all in it's self. They both made each other better people and that makes a book enjoyable for me to read.
It's the complex relationships that make for the best stories.
I love this series and I hope there are more come!

Roman is the seventh book in Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury series. If you’ve read the first six, you know that the Brannon’s play a large role with the Cold Fury team. Brain Brannon and his daughter Gray (from Ryker’s book) run the show. They both have a big part in this story. In fact, this book is different from the others because it’s not just from Roman and Lexi’s POV. It’s from Roman, Lexi and Brian’s POV.

Lexi Robertson has recently moved to North Carolina. After losing her mother less than a year ago, she’s looking for the family she’s never known. That family being the Brannon’s. Brian Brannon never knew he had another daughter, but he is ready to get to know her. Gray on the other hand, is a little more hesitant. I actually really loved Brian’s chapters in the book. I thought it brought a lot to the family aspect of the story. Now to Roman and Lexi…

Roman is the bad boy of the Cold Fury. He gets negative publicity, he’s getting in trouble on the regular and constantly in the penalty box. He is not Gray’s favorite person. When Roman and Lexi meet, sparks fly. Although Roman isn't the type to really date or have girlfriends, Lexi is different. I loved the connection these two have. Lexi is probably the coolest girl in the Cold Fury series. Even though Roman wasn’t my favorite, I did like him a lot. The heroine stealing the show isn’t always a bad thing. It’s nice to get a kick ass lady every now and then.

As I said before, I adored Lexi’s character and her relationship with Brian, plus his little side story. Roman’s growth made me love him much more. Gray was frustrating, but I could understand where she was coming from. Overall, this was a nice addition to the Cold Fury series. I can’t wait for the next one (Lucas) who is Max’s brother!

5 star Review Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett

This is book 7 in the series and another winner for Sawyer Bennett in my humble opinion. These books keep getting better and better and I fear I may have found another book boyfriend; after reading the previous book in the series, Max I was certain he was my favourite, now I'm not so sure.

When Lexi Robertson moves to Raleigh to contact and meet up with her father Brian Brannon and her half sister Gray, little does she know that a chance meeting with Roman will change both their lives forever; not only will she find a family that wants her, but a man who despite being her total opposite, is her soul mate.

I love a bad boy and Roman Sýkora is certainly one of those. I connected with Roman from the start and I have to say that I fell for the feisty and quirky Lexi just as much. These two just seemed to be two halves of a whole, meant to be together. I was attracted to Roman's character from the first page and couldn't put the book down; I so wanted these two to get their happily ever after.

I really enjoyed the camaraderie between Roman and Lexi, it was obvious that these two really liked each other and thoroughly enjoyed their time together, not just on a sexual level. I love that Ms. Bennett's characters are always so varied and that their struggles are so believable. In Roman, not only is there the struggle of a new love, but of building a relationship at the same time with a family Lexi only recently found out about, throw in the fact that Roman and Gray cannot stand each other and it makes interesting reading.

This is not only the story of Roman and Lexi but of Brian and Georgia who happen to meet when Brian goes to Lexi's work to watch her perform. I loved the glances we got of these Brian and Georgia and I wouldn't mind in the least if they got their own expanded book. It is so refreshing to read a love story between an older couple, something we rarely see in the romance world.

Roman is smoking hot , arrogant and yet at times so vulnerable, a real keeper in my opinion. There were times throughout the book that I wanted to smack Gray around as she struggled with her relationship with Lexi and with Roman, but in the end Ms. Bennett brought the story to an awesome conclusion that had me falling even harder for Roman.

This series is to me a family and I loved catching up on the previous couples and seeing what is happening in their lives. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series as it keeps getting better and better.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book through NetGalley from the publisher.

Roman is book 7 in the Cold Fury Series and I have to say each book is getting better and better, I don't say this lightly after reading book 6 Max I was sure Sawyer Bennett had peaked but not so Roman is so much more. We get a couple of new characters in the mix and if you are looking for a sexy bad boy look no further than Roman......
Lexi Robinson has come to Raleigh to meet the family she never knew she had and that family just happens to be the upper management of the Cold Fury Organisation, having the team bad boy trying to catch your attention is maybe not the smartest move when you are trying to connect with your new family......
Roman Sykora does what he wants when he wants and with who he wants and he has his sights set on Lexi. He is a loner with an impulsive cocky attitude and he is not Gray Brannon the general managers favourite player she needs to get him to shape up or ship out......
Roman has never been a one woman man but Lexi will never be just a puck bunny, will she be the one to tame the bad boy and get him to settle down and step up as the player everyone knows he can be or will his social media blunders win the day......
This book is so good for so many reasons, it's a love affair that's built around a tight family of not just real family members but also team mates that protect their own, it's got some amazing characters that are so different but they gel in so many ways, it's sexy and funny and I can't wait for the next book in this series which I believe is Lucas who happens to be Max's younger brother.
Another fantastic read from Sawyer Bennett

A sweet, sexy and endearing hockey romance.

NHL defense man Roman Sýkora marches at the beat of his own drum on and off the ice. No matter how much bad publicity he gets from tabloids though, he’s committed to give his all to his team. But management doesn’t agree and is pressuring him to tone down on scandals and cut back on his penalty time. The good news is that a spirited ukulele playing barista has captured his full attention, eliminating problem one. The bad news is that she’s the owner’s newfound daughter garnering unwanted attention from the general manager and Lexi’s half-sister.

After her mother’s death, Lexi Robertson’s life would never be the same. On her deathbed, her mother revealed that her father was none other than the owner of Cold Fury, current NHL champions. Lexi moves to North Carolina to meet and build a relationship with her new family, she’s also excited to be going out with the team’s teddy bear disguised as the big bad wolf. But can she stay out of the complications between Roman and her new family?

You’d think that after reading six books in a hockey series, the story lines would start to feel the same but Sawyer Bennett always makes her novels unique. With Roman, we don’t just get one love story, we get a twofer plus, alongside Roman and Lexi’s romance, there’s more Ryker and Gray and Brian Brannon’s very own love story. That’s right, the Cold Fury’s owner gets his own HEA.

After his wife’s death Brian had tried to move on and briefly dated a lovely woman with whom he had Lexi even though he hadn’t known she existed until she shows up in his office. He welcomes her with open arms and in doing so he’s introduced to Georgia Mack, a woman who is his complete opposite, determined to shake, rattle and roll his too proper CEO britches.

On the other end of the age spectrum, we have Roman who is caustic, cocky and nonconformist. He’s also a sexy, caring and capable of being ovary exploding sweet. Because even though he likes his loner lifestyle, the pull to be with the funny, mischievous and carefree barista is natural and undeniable.

Lexi and Roman definitely chemistry but as they see each other for who they are, they fit together perfectly. Their relationship develops organically with heavy flirting, plenty of innuendo and sizzling hot sexy times. The problems in their relationship is that he doesn’t crave a family like Lexi does or that he’s afraid of commitment. Their main source of tension comes from Lexi’s half-sister Gray who doesn’t like Roman’s attitude and is a bit jealous and wary of Lexi.

Roman is book #7 in the Cold Fury series by Sawyer Bennett. It is a sweet and sexy, easy to read standalone sports romance. A must for Cold Fury fans. Told from various points of view (Lexi, Roman and Brian) and has a happy ending.

Sawyer Bennett takes us back to the ice, this time with Roman Sýkora. The Cold Fury series is one of my favorites and this was a wonderful installment in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Roman and Lexi were likable characters from the first moment we met them. Their flirty banter and hot chemistry were enjoyable. They balanced out the other and made for a perfect couple.

What made this book so much more were the two romances in one. Watching Brian Brannon fall in love was laughable at times and highly entertaining. To see the owner of the Cold Fury fall and fall hard was so much fun. He added character and depth to the story making it that much better.

As always Sawyer gave us glimpses of the other Cold Fury players and family and bringing back lovable characters. If you love hockey romance then I would recommend this series over and over. This can be read as a standalone.

This was not what I was expecting. From the blurb, I expected a hockey player with a seriously bad attitude, playboy, selfish jerk. While we are told this, we don’t actually get to see any of this. Having said that, I really liked this story.

Roman is an enforcer for the Cold Fury hockey team. We are told he is a badass on the ice, gets into lots of fights, get lots of penalties and suspensions but is very good at his job. We are also told about his notorious bad boy ways and are given a couple of examples. He has been on his own since he was 13, hasn’t had the parental guidance he needed and hasn’t had to answer to anyone. He is balls to the wall in his personal and professional life and makes no apologies.

Lexi moves to town a few months after finding out Brian Brannon, owner of Cold Fury, is her father. She grew up with just her mom; never knowing who her father was until her mother confesses on her deathbed. Wanting to make a family connection, she sets up an appointment with Brian under false pretenses, then blurts out the real reason she’s there. Lexi is a free spirit who goes where the wind takes her. She is fiercely independent, quirky, a funky dresser, fun loving, rolls with whatever comes her way and is very happy with her life. I really liked her character.

Gray is her half sister and general manager of the hockey team. Her mother died when she was very young and she has had her dad all to her self since then. She is not too happy with the appearance of a possible sister.

When Roman meets Lexi, he is impressed that she doesn’t jump at the chance to go out with him and makes him work for it. He likes her quirkiness and is intrigued. He is normally a fast and furious guy but finds himself wanting to take it slow with her and see where it goes. When he finds out she is his boss’ daughter, that doesn’t bother him as much as the fact that Gray is her sister. There is no love lost between those two.

Lexi finds herself caught between these two as they both complain about the other to her and it drags her fun loving nature down. It takes Lexi getting into an accident for them to see the error of their ways and work it out.

I loved the heat between Lexi and Roman. I loved that he was open to seeing where this thing with Lexi would go. He had no frame of reference for a relationship but knew she was someone he was willing to go the distance for. He struggled with the concept of family but worked it out for her.

I also loved Georgia. She was just what Brian needed. I liked all the character in this book except Gray. I wanted to smack her a few times. Finally, at the end, I liked her too.

This is my first book in this series and can be read as a standalone. Although it did make me very curious about Gray and Ryker’s story.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley.

Roman Sykora is a bad boy, a man whore, and a fighter. He is unapologetic about his ways and sees no reason to change. Either you like him for who he is, or you don’t. He doesn’t care. He isn’t going to change for anyone, not even for the Cold Fury Hockey management.

Leaving his home country as a teenager to play hockey, he’s never had much of a family. Roman’s always had to look after himself. When the ukelele playing barista rocks his world, he decides that letting someone in may not be so bad after all.

Enter Brian Branon’s daughter, Lexi Robertson. She just found her father and her sister, Gray, the GM for the Cold Fury Hockey team. As she navigates these new found relationships, she also has to find a way to have a relationship with the team bad boy. Her sister, Gray, does not like Roman’s performance on or off the ice and holds nothing back in warning Lexi away from Roman. But when the bad boy won’t change, and your sister stubbornly resists accepting him, you’re left in the middle.

This had all the makings of a great book; a bad boy, family angst, long lost daddy, and yet, it fell flat for me. The plot was flat. I don’t have to have angst in every book, but I need some tension, some push and pull, something that moves the story along, a climax.

Also, I never felt like I got to know the characters. I missed the connection with them that I usually get in a Sawyer Bennett book.

Even though this didn’t hit the mark for me, this is the 7th book in this series, and I really enjoyed the others. If you haven’t started this series, I would highly recommend it.

What can I say I adored Roman.

He was a troublemaker.

He played his heart out on the ice. For him it was either full-in or not at all. He liked the adrenaline and the rush during a hockey game or practice. He was an enforcer and fighting on the ice was part of his job description. And he had no problem with it. People either took him as he was, flaws and all, or they could f*** themselves.

On the other hand Roman was never in the thick of things. He loved to party now and then with his single teammates, but he never was close to anyone. His very busy parents never had time for him. He learned to depend on himself and just himself. That also meant he never really had a close-knit group of friends either. He wasn't necessarily a loner, but he kept others at a distance. That also turned him into non-commitment kind of guy.

When he met Lexi, he was immediately intrigued by her demeanor and spunky clothing. He found her refreshing and unique. She didn't swoon immediately and was a down to earth kind of woman. They connected in a authentic and genuine way. Honest attraction that turned into more over a course of meetings and dates. They kept it low-key. And let their relationship grew naturally.

There were a few roadblocks on their way to a HEA.

Roman struggled with his image on and off the ice. Which got him into hot water with the general manager, Gray Brannon. He also found out the hard way what it meant to be a famous hockey player with a girlfriend. And his animosity with Gray didn't help the situation. Those two didn't like each other at all. They were like water and oil.

Lexi on the other hand struggled with dividing the little free time she had with her new boyfriend and newfound family. Keeping those balanced was harder than it sounded.

But they made it work.

I loved how honest Roman and Lexi were with each other.

Honesty between main characters has always been one of my most admired traits. Many miscommunications could be prevented if just people would talk to each other. Fortunately Roman and Lexi thought the same.

I also thought it was a fantastic addition that not only Lexi and Roman had POV's but also Brian Brannon. His POV added another layer of depth and substance to the book. He filled so many roles: he was the mature voice and guide, the responsible father figure and a vulnerable widower finding romance late in life.

I adored the side story about Brian and Georgia. Those two were just too adorable. Georgia was the hoot!! Such an interesting and vibrant character, very much the opposite of the suit wearing Brian. But they matched perfectly. I couldn't have chosen better.

All in all Roman was exactly what I hoped for. Bravo Sawyer Bennett!!!

How I love these men of the Cold Fury Hockey books! Roman is another wonderful character, and I enjoyed meeting Lexi and seeing her getting to know her family. I just read this one and already can't wait for more!

From page 1 I found myself not really liking Roman. In fact most of the time my thinking was much like Gray's, who I thought was justified in her words at their first meeting. Now Lexi I loved from the start, odd because she was much like Roman, just not so damn cocky. I thought Lexi approached her revelation in the right way, which seemed to pave the way for more later.

Even though I didn't like Roman, I liked him with Lexi. He was different with her and he seemed to see to the core of her. I even found myself on Roman's side when things started to get bad with Gray. While I hated the "when" of when things came to a head, hated that Lexi felt the need to do what she did to get her feelings across, it needed to be done. It's just too bad that Roman and Gray made up where they did and why.

The ending had me smiling, mostly because I liked the secondary romance.

I don’t know what I could say…
Sawyer Bennett did it AGAIN.

It amazes me how she manages to write another great story in the series, I still enjoyed it so much!
You could think that it could get boring (I mean, Roman is the 7th book), well, not at all.
I enjoyed both Roman’s and Lex’s characters, they feet so perfectly together
I just wished the book was a little longer, I wasn’t ready to leave them behind!

Oh, and adding the “third” POV was so great, I loved Brian’s story, it was a great addition to this book AND the series.

Roman was the perfect mix: rebel but honest, he gives it all in his job and to his girl, once he founds her. Lexi was absolutely sweet and genuine, they really make a great couple.

I know, my review is mostly the same but I discovered Sawyer Bennett last year, and I absolutely LOVED all the books I read.
I’m very happy she finally got published in France and wish her all the success she deserves!

I can’t wait for Luca’s book!

Sawyer Bennett is not an author I'm new to, but I am new to her Cold Fury series. I'm shocked I hadn't heard of it before because I'm a big hockey romance fan. I'm so happy I got the chance to try out the series with the seventh book, Roman.

I flew through this book. I basically read it in one sitting. Everything about this story pulled me into it. The writing was so good! I loved the characters and the three different points of view involved. I was expecting Lexi and Roman's point of views, but I wasn't expecting Brian's. Adding his perspective was the perfect touch.

Lexi was this free-spirited girl-woman. I say girl-woman because even though she was an adult, her ability to see the best in everything and go with her gut reminded me more a child than an adult. She was serious when she needed to be, but went where she felt called. I loved everything about her -- especially her attraction and connection to Roman.

Roman was a tough shell to crack. He was a bad boy in everything except his relationship with Lexi. His tenderness with her was uncharacteristic. Lexi brought out a side of him he didn't think he had. His self-discovery was sweet. Roman and Lexi balanced each other out in the best way possible.

Brian is Lexi's newly found father. There were two things I really loved about his perspective. First, I loved knowing what he thought of Lexi and the bomb she dropped on him. Second, his second chance at love was adorable. Really adorable.

Roman was book 7 in Cold Fury series, but felt almost like a standalone novel. I enjoyed it without feeling like I was missing too much from previous books. Reading it did make want to go back and read the rest of the series, though. I would love to get to know each of the Cold Fury players.

Fans of hockey or sports romances would definitely appreciate Roman. It's filled with fun hockey, sexy moments and incredible characters.

My 4.5 star review is posted on Goodreads. It will be posted on blog and social media on release day and links will be updated below at that time.

4.5 stars

Roman Sykora does everything fast...on and off the ice. He does what he wants, when he wants, and is seen as a trouble maker. He is cocky, sarcastic, alpha, impulsive, and a loner. His wild lifestyle and stunts are becoming social media blunders for his image and his team, and the general manager, Gray Brannon, is not happy about it.

Lexi Robertson is sassy, sweet, quirky, happy, funny, and free spirited. She has come to Raleigh to meet the family she just recently found out that she had, so her life is in an adjustment stage. Catching the eye of the team bad boy is not the best idea when your new family is upper management of the Cold Fury organization. But she is adventurous and positive, and just cannot seem to resist his charms.

Roman has never wanted to spend time with just one woman, but Lexi is different. But it is hard to prove that to the people who won't forget his past transgressions and are watching every move he makes. She makes him want more and even though changing his personal lifestyle is not that difficult when motivated, it is hard to change the type of aggressive hockey player he is. And there is a lot of pressure not only to perform, but also to not make mistakes or use poor judgment that causes penalties for himself or the team. His spot on the team could be put in jeopardy with one false move.

But Roman and Lexi together have a fun rapport, camaraderie, chemistry, and genuinely enjoy being together. Their lives are just a bit complicated.

This book is a family affair in the love department. It also features Dad, Brian Brannon, and his return to the dating world. I loved his fiery match, and they were funny and flirty. She was determined to shake the stuffiness out of the CEO and make him feel alive again. And we also get more with Gray, Ryker, and the girls. But Lexi's new family also comes with interesting dynamics, drama, and it is not always easy. There is jealousy, mistrust, and a bit of sibling rivalry. Roman is not used to being around families so that adds even more pressure on him since they are so closely tied with his career. And Lexi is put in the middle at times between Roman and Gray and their strained relationship. Sometimes I really just wanted to shake them myself.

It is told in multiple points of view of Roman, Lexi, and Brian as they try to figure out the intricacies of handling new relationships when their lives are tied in various ways. It is sweet, humorous, sexy, and made me smile a lot. I love this team and this group of characters. I will keep reading them as long as she keeps them coming. I am looking forward to Max's little brother, Lucas next.

With so many books in a series, there is always the risk of things become a little repetitive. And whilst there is an element of that in Roman, it was still a reasonably enjoyable read, if not a tad predictable.

"Roman Sýkora is one of the team’s bad boys. Maybe the baddest."

Hm, I'm inclined to disagree with that statement, as other than rubbing the Cold Fury's General Manager up the wrong way (Grey, she's now married to Ryker, there were moments when she irritated the hell out of me) and getting into some scuffles on the ice, he wasn't really channelling the bad boy and was actually rather sweet.

"Shape up or ship out."

This particular story comes with a family feel and outside of Roman, the sports element plays second fiddle with the players and spouses being virtually silent, which I am beginning to miss as I loved their dynamic in the earlier books. As for the romance between Lexi and Roman, they have a lovely chemistry, but it simmered for me as opposed to sizzled and I openly admit that had it not been for the second unexpected romance that plays out in this story, my rating would have been lower because Roman and Lexi were fairly unremarkable in comparison to some of their predecessors.

"How could I ever want more than ukuleles and orgasms."

Of the seven books in this series, four have been winners, three not so much. I'm not ready for quitting yet as I've hope for Luc Fournier: I loved him in his brother Max's book and hope he gets the story he deserves. But as for a Roman, it's one of those I read, found enjoyable enough but I'll likely forget.
