I have chosen not to finish this title.
I liked the first in the series, but this one did not work for me. I tried twice with it, I put it down for a few days and tried again, but I was not able to connect with the female character, which made it very difficult to enjoy this title.
I look forward to the next title from your publishing company.

Into the Firestorm by Kat Martin has it all for suspense romance fans. There is a villain to truly loath. One that you want to be caught as much as both hero and heroine want to put him down. Two bounty hunters that butt heads while also fighting an intense attraction to each other. Of course, the fight is futile for Luke Brodie, former military and Emma Cassidy, former teacher. A well written plot with plenty of gripping suspense along with thrilling roller coaster actions. Some would say it is predictable, for me however, I want the bad guys caught and a HEA so the conclusion is wonderfully satisfying. One wild ride from beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next in the series.
Emma Cassidy is my hero! She's one tough cookie, smart and polite, but don't let that fool you she can take down a man 3 times her size. She's a newbie bounty hunter trying to track down a man who almost destroyed her little family. That's how she meets Luke Brodie, an expert bounty hunter. He wears these knee high moccasins, but I really can not for the life of me picture a man wearing these! Lol but everything about him sounds sexy. They'll team up together to take down Rudy Vance, a very dangerous man who is obsessed with Emma's niece.
This is read with plenty of drama and suspense, the read was a bit on the slow side for me, there is a lot going on in this read. Luke and Emma are both after the same bad guy, can they work together to catch him? The story held my interest throughout and the chemistry is great. I really liked it.
This is a great fast paced exciting story with lots of chemistry between the lead couple. It opens with a heart breaking incident which sets the stage for the rest of the story. We quickly transition into a new Emma, who has reinvented herself into a bounty hunter to chase the psychopath who has targeted her family and already left devastation in his wake. Seasoned bounty hunter Luke Brodie is after the same target. It did my feminist heart a lot of good to watch Emma in action teaching Luke a thing or two as they partner up to track clues and take down their target.
From the get go, when Luke first see's Emma take down her target following a game plan he would be proud to execute you know it's only a matter of time before he's going to succumb to Emma's brand of femininity covered with tough. Sure enough after unsuccessfully trying to talk Emma out of going after the contract he ends up taking her on as a partner. Soon he's using her gender and looks to open doors and it's no hardship when her kick ass skills come into play as needed.
It's inevitable that this relationship end up between the sheets. What Luke clearly doesn't know until later in the game is how personal this particular bounty hunt is for Emma. The author does a great job of weaving in Emma's sister and niece and also giving us an insight into the sick mind of the predator who's preying on them. I've read all of the books in the series that started in the distant past and has weaved through many states and as many romances but I felt like this one really gripped me hard because of the subject matter and the story telling.
Another winner for Ms. Martin. Please keep them coming.

I enjoyed this fast-paced detective novel, with their dangerous search following the clues and dead bodies. The romance was spicy and it flowed well with the story. Emma and Luke, both bounty hunters, made a good couple and were likeable from the start. I did want to smack Luke upside the head a few times, but he was acting in character, and part of the storyline. A fun pulse-pumping story.

Into the Firestorm by Kat Martin......Oh my, I was on the edge of my seat. These characters were amazing they sucked me into the story. It was awesome seeing the story be told for Emma and Luke. Kat Martin is moving up my list of fabulous author to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.
Into the Firestorm is the 3rd book in the BOSS, Inc series, penned by Kat Martin. I thought it was the best out of the series so far. The reason, the plot, the plot, the plot. Not to say that I am easy, but when an author can hold my attention longer than a chapter, then I know that I am in it for the remainder of the book.
Emma Cassidy didn’t want to become a bounty hunter, it was forced upon her. When her young niece was raped and the same man attempted to do it again. Emma decided to take the law into her own hands to bring the man to justice. But, to do so, she must outwit the top bounty hunter Luke Brodie.
Into the Firestorm was an enjoyable book from the beginning, middle, and end. This book is a keeper. A must read for readers who like strong female characters who can go toe to toe with a strong dominating alpha male.
I really enjoyed this book. From the first sentence to the last, I couldn't put the book down. Once again the men of BOSS, Inc have captivated my attention and shown what alpha males do best.
This book focuses on Luke Brodie, super sexy ex-military-Delta Force turned bounty hunter and Emma Cassidy novice bounty hunter on a mission. The two team up to hunt down the man who raped Emma's 14 yr old niece and murdered her sister's housekeeper. Along the way they face many explosive obstacles and some very bad men who'd rather fight than talk. Ethan and Dirk also appear in this book along with the Brodie women.
The story is very fast paced and suspenseful. The romance is hot and the friendship is strong.
Overall, another awesome installment and can't wait for the next in the series.

Into the Firestorm takes the reader back to the BOSS, Inc team, the third book in the series focuses on bounty hunter Luke Brodie, who has a penchant for knee high moccasins…
"It’s different with you."
Although I enjoyed this book I must admit that it felt twice as long as the page count in it’s reading. The story between Luke and Emma was well crafted, but there were parts that seemed to just drag on a little longer than were warranted. I loved the bounty hunter aspect between the pair of them, especially as they were both looking for the same guy, but for completely different reasons. Emma’s are purely personal, you are given the crux of that in the prologue, and Rudy Vance (the villain of the piece) is certainly given the most abhorrent of crimes and tastes as part of his backstory. I am glad the author didn’t delve to deeply into his psyche on that front when telling parts of the story from his POV.
"You okay, baby?"
"Better now."
Plenty of thrills and spills in this one, you can see where the plot is going and the author used the secondary characters well in building up the story development and progression. I like the BOSS, Inc guys anyway, and the banter between them at points lightened the drama a bit. Luke and Emma together were hot and sweet, and I love nothing more than a battle scarred veteran getting his happily ever after, even if it does include getting shot, blown up and almost killed in the route he takes to get there.

Luke Brodie is the one that we know the least about other than he's a bounty hunter and helps his family out on cases. He has snagged himself a case with a high pay bounty and he's set on that happening. Then he runs into E. Cassidy. Someone he's heard about didn't know she was wasn't a man but a beautiful, sexy, woman, and she can kick some butt. She is also looking for this man but for personal reasons. He has terrorized her family and raped her niece, now he's on the lose. Emma knows as long as he's around her family will never be safe. Luke doesn't work with partners but Emma seems to be an exception, she knows what she's doing but she can also ruin what Luke has going. Big Problem is the chemistry two have. This story had a lot going on between the main characters push and pull. Emma constant fear for her niece and sister. The bad guys always seem to be two steps ahead of them and The contacts Luke has isn't ones that neither of them should be getting involved with. I have to say this series is one of my favorites and it didn't disappoint. I was invested from the first page. You can read it as a stand alone but it always good to know the other characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book given to me by NetGalley and the Publisher.
Emma Cassidy's family is in danger, so she decides to take the matter into her own hands. She finds a mentor, and trains to become a bounty hunter so she can find the man who has broken her family and bring him to justice.
Luke Brodie is the best bounty hunter in town. He works alone and doesn't want any entanglements in his life. Luke witnesses Emma in action one night and after that their paths start crossing a little more often than Luke would like. Emma is a complication he doesn't think he needs, even if they are hunting the same man.
I wanted to love this book, I really liked the premise and I liked the characters. Unfortunately, the story was very repetitive, in the characters thoughts and the story line. The entire book just moved very slowly. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Book Review- Into the Firestorm
A BOSS Inc. Novel

Paperback, 379 pages
The terrible realization that her niece was raped by Rudy Vance, her sister April’s new boyfriend, and that he was arrested but let go, pushed Emma Cassidy into being a bounty hunter. No way was she going to let the monster go free. She uses her resources and training to entrap him and get the evidence she needs to see that justice is served. Thing is she’s mostly catching the men who skip bail. This is a whole other ballgame.
Luke Brodie, a military trained, high-success bounty hunter seemed to have zoomed in on the same case. He’s more than a little surprised to find Emma working her sexy little self into his assignment. He’s fully aware that its dangerous as hell and if he doesn’t step in, she may not come out of this alive. She agrees, which makes this a first for Luke because he doesn’t like working with a partner. He quickly comes to realize that he’s not simply attracted to her and that’s a problem. His military experiences have made him feel incapable of having a long-term relationship, but go tell his heart that.
With the help of Boss’s employees and resources they attempt to track down Vance one clue at a time, quickly placing themselves in an international hive of complications that rather not be revealed by those organizing it.
INTO THE FIRESTORM is action packed and filled with surprises. This was a can’t put down book. I was totally impressed with Martin making Emma a tough and courageous bail enforcement agent instead of a character constantly needing a man to pull her out of danger. Luke’s dark past is not only his shadow, it has stopped him from knowing love for most of his life. I think most people would hire someone to grab a monster like Vance, rather than personally go after him, but never underestimate the power of a loving aunt. As for the plot, it isn’t totally fictional in the sense that this type of thing sadly happens one way or another all over the world. My hope is that it will one day cease.

I am a Kat Martin fan. Thank you, Kat, for the awesome birthday present. Your romance is hot and your plots are always a suspense to the end. "Into the Firestorm" is no different. It is totally, completely, absolutely, stupendously awesome.
Luke Brodie is a partner in BOSS with his brother, cousins and good friend. Luke, former Special Forces, Delta Force, is the Fugitive Apprehension expert of the team and tracks to hardest to find skips. He is currently looking for Rudy Vance who raped Emma's niece, Ginny, skipped bail, assaulted Ginny again and killed the housekeeper. He is also the love em and leave em man-whore. He is a one and done operator who doesn't work with a partner. Luke has his own demons and yet is willing to take on Emma's.
Emma was a middle school until a monster attacked her niece and killed a friend. She on a mission to become a bounty hunter in order to catch Rudy Vance and isn't going to let anyone, even Luke Brodie, stand in her way. She has researched and worked for over 10 months to be able to track and take down this rapist and murderer who has destroyed her family.
These two are on a collision course and the smash up is explosive. They decide to partner up in order to track down Rudy Vance, but the also partner up in another way too. The problem with that is Luke doesn't feel he can be anyone's partner for the long haul. Emma will need to prove him wrong.
Yay It's yummy Luke Brodie's story. Into the Firestorm the 3rd book in the Boss, Inc. series was awesome. After I read the excerpt for Into the Firestorm at the end of Into the whirlwind I was really looking forward to Luke's book. It didn't disappoint. Luke was all that was yummy and good. He was charming, caring, protective and totally bad ass. Ex military special forces he could take care of business. He played the field but deep down he wanted a family. He just didn't feel like he would be a good husband after all he did and seen in the military. I loved Luke and the way he was all about Emma after meeting her. She was it for him. Even though his feelings scared him he only had eyes for her. Emma was awesome. I love strong kick ass heroines and Emma was all that and more. Emma was strong, brave, smart and she could take care of herself. She was well trained. She knew how to fight, shoot a gun and run down leads. She also had a sweet feminine side. She cared deeply for her family. She would do anything to protect them.
Luke and Emma had a lot of passion. I loved how Luke and Emma teamed up to take down Rudy Vance the SOB that raped Emma's 14 year old niece Ginny. Luke didn't try to tuck the little lady away while he saved the day. He respected Emma and her skills. They worked so well together and had a strong connection. The plot was entertaining and action packed. The suspense kept me on edge the whole book. The secondary characters were endearing and added to the book. I really enjoyed the very small side romance between Emma's sister April and FBI agent Conner Danfield. But I was glad it didn't take away from Luke and Emma's story. I enjoyed getting to catch up with past couples that I loved. Especially Dirk and Meg! They're my favorite of the whole series. So getting to read about their wedding was great. The action at the end was so good. I loved their Hea it was very sweet. Into the Firestorm was a great read for me. I have really enjoyed this series. If you like Romantic Suspense this book is for you!
Exciting and action filled continues to the BOSS Inc series where the mighty Luke Brodie meets his surprising match in the bounty hunters world and puts his personal life in turmoil. Could it be that this notorious ladies man and serial one-night-stand-man can consider a longer relationship or will the past actions and quiet nightmares be too much to deal with?
From the start, the story takes off into a fast, bloody, and furious action where no mercy is shown and where the bounty hunters put their own lives to risk to fulfill their duty and deliver the goods. The thrill and drama are impressive and the appeal of the story high, I just wanted to immerse myself into their dangerous world and take the perilous ride with them.
Luke Brodie has made appearances in the previous books in the series, his reputation as a deadly force on the field is known, his fame with the ladies even more so. The ladies men are not my favorite hero type, just don't feel the appeal to the type. At first, Luke comes off a bit abrasive and arrogant, even old fashion with some of his thoughts, but as the story unfolds, the deeper side of Luke is revealed, the tender, vulnerable, caring man with inner battles, doubts, and concerns. He managed to get under my skin with his vulnerabilities and his adoration of Emma Cassidy won my heart.
Emma has experienced more loss and sorrow in her young life than most do through their lives. She took the latest tragedy in her family and made it her motivation and force to work as a bounty hunter with only one goal in mind - to capture the man torturing her niece. She learns the trade, she hones her skill, she is facing the trouble full frontal and not showing any fear. At times I wasn't sure if she was brave or reckless as she marches on and walks into unpredictable situations without looking back or backup. She has idealized Luke, admired him, made him into her role model, and now working side by side the attraction is overpowering and unavoidable.
The story is very detail oriented as Luke and Emma research the case and hunts for the culprits and clues. Also, the relationship developing between them is detailed, the story including series of disclosed sex scenes between them, their physical attraction burning hot and heated, their yearn for each other relentless. Honestly, in my opinion, some of that could have been wrapped in a little tighter package, because not all the simple or heated details added into the development of the plot.
There's a secondary romance interest developing on the side between Emma's sister and an agent that also shaved off some of the building intensity in the main storyline.
The action is gory and crimson, the culprits know no mercy. The violence is cruel and the desires of the hunted man are sick and twisted. The fear for survival is evident as is the fear for the deeper feelings that are developing in Luke and Emma. The closer they come to find their man the closer the loom of doom in their relations comes.
At times long-winded, but mostly thrilling, treacherous, risk-filled suspense story with ardent and heartfelt romance, engaging characters that lure your mind and charm your heart with the enthralling stories of their destinies

What an intriguing book. Tons of suspense and riveting action. I did love how they came to together in the end, best part of the book. I enjoyed reading this book it kept you on the edge of your seat with a wonderful plot. Definitely a book I recommend, actually anything by Kat Martin is worth reading.
Another good book in a great series. The third one, and not as smoothly plotted as the first two, but still good. At times felt a little disjointed, and I didn't quite understand Brodie's attitude about not connecting with Emma after the violent climax. I did like them together though, and was interesting to follow them as they investigated the creepy pedifile who is after her niece. Highly recommend this book and author, but encourage you to read the others in the series first.
Into the Firestorm by Kat Martin
BOSS Inc. #3
Drew me in from page one…I liked Emma “M” Cassidy and Luke Brodie. I felt that their strengths and characters were well matched and the way they grew together as a couple was interesting to watch. The fact that they were there for one another when out bounty hunting or when off the clock worked and as time passed I saw them more and more as a couple as they supported and cared for one another. The development of their characters, their back stories and their time together seeking out the bad guy all flowed easily and made me hope for the HEA that made the ending perfect for me. I love this author’s books and this one was exactly what I expected and hoped for. I am eager to read more in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley an d Kensington Books for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Another great story by Kate Martin. I thought it needed more action throughout the book instead of it mainly toward the end of the book. Luke Brodhead the famous bounty hunter takes one look at fellow bounty hunter Emma Cassidy and the sparks fly and the chemistry is hot and needs its own zip code. I highly recommend reading this book.
