Cute sweet romance between single mom, Avery, and veterinarian, Cade. Avery is the mom of an autistic child; I liked this aspect, I'm not huge on single parent romances, but it worked for me in this book. Avery meets Cade when there's a problem with a puppy; there's an attraction there, but Avery has issues from a past relationship. Things begin to romantically develop between Cade and Avery, but it's slow getting Avery to let down her walls. The dual POVs was nice, and I liked both characters. This is a nice romance; not a lot of excitement, but I enjoyed the read. There's a bit of steam and I liked the connection between Avery and Cade, but I did get a bit annoyed at the back and forth from Avery. Overall, a perfectly nice romance.
Kelly Moran has written an awesome read that once you start you will not be able to put down. It moves along at the perfect pace, which makes it a very enjoyable read as you are not struggling to stay interested.
The story will grab you from the very first page all the way till the very end and the characters are amazing. You feel as though you know them personally and you want to see them happy. This needs to be on your list of books to read, you will not be sorry.
Avery and Cade's romance story. Avery returns to be near her mother after an ugly divorce. She has an autistic daughter Hailey, who finds an injured puppy. When they take it to the veterinarian, that is when they meet playboy Cade. Sparks fly, misunderstandings fly, but overall a sweet story. Really like the connection Cade and Hailey form, as well as Cade's family to include Avery and her daughter. Great series and author. Highly recommend this one. Hard to put down.
I really loved this love story. My one criticism of the book was the occasional f-bombs and the descriptive sex scenes. At the risk of sounds prudish, I feel it detracts from the book and the story. I was wrapped up in the emotion of the characters and at times felt tears come to my eyes because it was so poignant and felt real.
Avery Stowe had just ended a ten year marriage with a man who had taken away her independence and had shaped and molded her into what he wanted her to be. He wanted nothing to do with their seven year old daughter, Hailey, who as a non-verbal autistic while Hailey was the most important thing in her mother's life. Avery had moved to a small town in Oregon for a fresh start. She didn't want a romance. She was just content to be alone with her daughter. But, she had a run-in with Cade O'Grady, a very handsome veterinarian in town and was offered a job at the O'Grady's vet practice. Cade, along with his brothers Flynn and Drake ran the family business after their dad died.
Cade was single and loved the ladies and the ladies loved him. They had many patients who would bring their animals in to the clinic because they were "off" which was code for just wanted a look at the yummy veterinarian. Cade was tired of it and since Drake did the surgery and Flynn did the vet traveling vet work, Cade was the one who was always in the clinic and was hit on by the single women in town. Then he met Avery, and everything changed for him. He finally began to see himself settling down with a family, her family, and he wanted that more than anything. But would he ever be able to convince Avery that she could trust and open up her heart again to love? You'll have to read to find out.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I can see right now that Redwood Ridge will be a series I will not want to end! Cade is all kinds of hot, smart, kind - perfect package. I liked his reasoning for his playboy ways. And I liked his was more a serial dater than just a manwhore. Avery is a really a sweet, yet strong character. I think the inclusion of her special needs daughter was really well written and a good part to the story. Kelly Moran never shies away from putting challenging characters in her stories.
I loved Cade & Avery's story and can not wait for the next!! 5 plus stars from me!

Puppy Love was a well written and heartwarming read, and I loved it.
The storyline was entertaining, heartfelt and from the first few pages I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of Cade and his brothers. They made me laugh, they made cry and I'm excited to read more about them in future books :)
The main characters Cade and Avery were likable, endearing and very easy to connect with. It warmed my heart watching their relationship unfold.
And seeing Cade with Hailey, Avery's little girl brought out all the feels!
Overall, Puppy Love was a beautiful, memorable and heartfelt read. What a wonderful start to the Redwood Ridge series by Kelly Moran, looking forward to Flynn's story next in Tracking You.

A very sweet story! I knew Avery and Cade would get together in the end but I really enjoyed the twists Moran gave them along the way. I was especially impressed with the sensitivity Moran showed to Hailey, making her as much a real character as her mom is. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC- try this one if you'd like a romance where a mom finds new love.
Puppy Love was a nice and emotional read for me.
I can't understand how hard the life was for Avery before she moved to Redwood Ridge but I was so glad she finally found a place in the World where she can forget all her insecurities and fears in order to make a better life for her and her daughter.
Cade, our handsome vet,is my favorite character,I loved how he became an important person in Avery and Hailey's lives, earning their trust inch by inch.
I liked how easy are the relationships between the characters, even if there isn't so much privacy in the little village, everyone feel loved and appreciated and they can easily feel at home.
Kelly Moran once again made me fall in love with a new place and an incredible bunch of new characters since the first page.I wasn't ready to say goodbye at the end, fortunately there will be a new book in the series released pretty soon.
Puppy Love was such a delightful story!
I am so glad I saw it on the NetGalley because I loved the author's voice, the emotions she brought out via the characters, the pure joy, devotion, dedication, caring, love, angst, fear, passion - it was all there and in such an attractive package, I loved it!
The beginning of the story was filled with delightful humor, light banter, and high spirits of starting new, the fresh launch of life in a new place, with new people, new job bringing out the adventures side of life and living.
Cade O’Grady is gorgeous, smart, great with animals and children and can even cook a bit. His player ways have given him a reputation, he is the catch of the small town, even with two as gorgeous brothers, and the town folks with their twitter feeds and Pinterest boards make sure everyone knows his conquests, even those that are made up or exaggerated. Cade is kind, caring, sweet, considerate, and generous. The only thing against him is, he can't think straight when Avery is around, so the opportunities to miscommunication are abundant.
Avery Stowe decided after the painful, two-year long divorce process that she will never marry again, not to mention date again. Her autistic little girl needs all her attention, time, and energy, and that's the way she likes it. Avery is determined, organized, methodical person. She has always been the caretaker, standing on her own. Asking or accepting help and support are not easy for her, the small town gossip and rumors a bit much to her at times.
I loved how the story was built, the time it took for Avery and Cade to get to know each other, get comfortable with each other, and accept their feelings for each other. The joy and cheer of life at the beginning pulled me right in and I didn't want to put the book down. I just wanted to keep smiling and laughing at the antics of the characters as they were fumbling with life and fiddled about falling in love. The connection Cade had with Hailey, Avery's daughter, was precious and so sweet it took my breath away.
The angst and fear that came to both Cade and Avery as their feelings got deeper were overwhelming. There were times I wasn't sure what the problem was exactly, being as confused as the characters themselves seemed to be. But the author knew exactly what she was doing, and took the reader's mind and heart from the bottom of despair to the top of jubilation and elation.
I'm not sure if I have ever read a book before where I was swooning through it, not just having a moment here and there, but in a constant state of being enamoured and thrilled over the tale and the characters in it. The emotions, the feels, the affection, the passion, the devotion, the family bonding - just wow! I think I am still in the state of wonder over the sweet, tender, adorable tale. This series will be on my watchlist, that's for sure!
~ Five Spoons
Avery and her daughter Hailey had been traveling for two days and finally got to the town of Redwood Ridge. Hailey was autistic and her father had given up full custody and didn’t even want visitation. If Hailey got too much stimulation or someone touched her especially her head she had a fit or tantrum. Hailey didn’t talk. Avery’s mom had moved to this town ten years ago. Avery hoped this town would be good for Hailey. Hailey was seven. Justine was Avery’s mom and had inherited some cabins from an aunt and she rented them out to tourist and she also owned a second hand store called thrifty. Avery dozed off and forgot to lock the back door and when she woke up Hailey was gone. Hailey often took off not because she wanted to run away but she lived inside her head and Had no concept of danger. Avery found Hailey in the woods with a puppy who was missing part of his leg and bleeding a lot but Haley had connected with the dog the first time she really connected with anything. Avery, Justine and Hailey took the puppy to the pet hospital and Cade just happened to be still there he was on call anyway.Cade took the puppy and told them to come back tomorrow to see him. Avery ex was Richard who was Hailey’s father. For the first time in a long time Avery felt attracted to Cade. Richard had made Avery quit her job after they were married to be at his beck and call. Then he used Hailey to further isolate her from everyone. Cade was attracted to Avery also. Then Avery was hired to be the pet hospital’s office manager as the current manager was her bosses aunt and she wanted to retire. Then Avery organized the whole office for the vets and techs even for the pet groomer. Cade’s brothers were also vets one was deaf but did well. Then Avery got talked into becoming the head of the Events committee which all the money earned by the different events went to charity. She even got the oldest brother Drake to smile. Cade was being as patient as he could be. Avery realized they were in a relationship even if it was hidden or so she thought. The night of the Valentine's Day Dance Drake pointed out to Cade that Cade was falling for Avery and before this Cade had kept things casual with any woman he seen since Drake became a widower and still was a shadow of himself since his wife’s Heather's’ death who had been his HS sweetheart. He never wanted that kind of pain.
This was an amazing story I loved it. How Hailey made friends and even went on overnights with her friend. I loved how Cade w as with Hailey actually his whole family and the friends Avery had made.I also loved how Cade was as patient as he could be when at times…… just a beautiful romance and one of my new favorites. Also it calls attention to autism and that being autistic does not mean you aren’t human and can’t care. I applaud the author for her portrayal of Hailey . Great plot great story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
I do not usually like books that are so sweet and romantic, but this book sounded slightly different so i thought i would see if it was one for me. I am afraid to say i could not connect with the book and though i read it and enjoyed it,i did not get drawn into it and connect with the characters as much as i wanted to. There fore i will not be putting my review up. I do thank you for the chance to read something out of my usual reading style

My Review:
Puppy Love was my second Kelly Moran read and I enjoyed it beginning to end. Ms. Moran is a gifted scribe and provided ample servings of humor, steam, and quirky characters to kick off a new series. The storyline was relevant, relatable, and realistic, as were the endearing and lovable characters who were each valiantly struggling with real life issues. I adored the setting of a small town vet clinic that hosted a menagerie of abandoned pets. The story was active, eventful, and full of entertaining threads with my favorite being the ironic humor of the parrot that spoke in well-framed song lyrics which always seemed to add a flavorful commentary to the human interactions. The writing was often cleverly amusing, thoughtfully observant, occasionally angsty, yet always emotionally engaging. I want to spend more time with this interesting and diverse group of characters.
I’m in love with the O’Grady brothers! Avery Stowe is new in town and starting over. She has escaped a loveless marriage that has done a number on her self-esteem and taken her autistic daughter to live in a small Oregon town to be near her mother. After an inauspicious meeting she ends up working for Cade O’Grady and his brothers at their animal hospital. These guys are good looking, single, and employed. They have a sense of humor and are all around good guys. They aren’t perfect but they try.
Fans of Jill Shalvis and Kristan Higgins small town romance should get a kick out of Puppy Love. I fell into the story and didn’t want to leave. Cade stole my heart right along with Avery and Haileys. I can’t wait for the next brother to fall.
Puppy Love by Kelly Moran is a fun entertaining romance. Avery has moved herself & her autistic daughter to Redwood Ridge Oregon to be near her quirky mother & raise her daughter. She just wants privacy & to be left alone. After falling into a job with Cade at the veterinarian's office, she begins to realize she was "alone" when she was in her marriage & doesn't want to live like that anymore. Cade just wants a chance to prove that all relationships aren't like her loveless marriage & that all men aren't jerks.
Kelly Moran has done an excellent job with this book. The characters are well developed & invoke emotion in the readers. The more you read about Avery's marriage & struggles the more you are pulling for her & Cade. The relationship between Cade & her daughter, Hailey is tender & thought provoking. In her writing, Ms. Moran brings out some of the struggles of raising an autistic child without invoking pity or allowing it to hijack a fun romance. This subject needed a light hearted touch & Ms. Moran delivered!
This book just melted my heart! Cade is a veterinarian working along side his older brothers, Drake and Flynn, at the practice that their father started in their small hometown of Redwood Ridge. All 3 brothers are single and good looking, therefore they attract all the single (and some not so single) women from around the area. And to date that has worked out very well for Cade. He doesn't want a relationship so he only goes for one night stands ... but he is a gentleman and tries his hardest not to break their hearts.
Avery is a newly divorced mother of a 7 year old girl with autism. After her divorce, she moves to Redwood Ridge to be near her mother and to get her daughter, Hailey, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A romance is not even on her radar, as Hailey is her only concern. Their 1st day there, Hailey wonders off in the woods and comes across a puppy full of blood. Avery takes the puppy to the vet for treatment and Cade thinks that she is a tourist who is responsible for the puppy's injuries. Once Cade finds out that the puppy was a stray and Avery didn't cause the injuries, he cannot apologize to Avery enough. The brothers end up hiring Avery to run the office and thus begins attraction that Cade and Avery cannot deny.
This book checks all the boxes for me ... it's funny, romantic, erotic, and melts your heart. A great read and I highly recommend it!
I received an ARC copy courtesy of Kensington Books through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
What a fabulously emotional story and I am so looking forward to more in this brand new series. These characters were amazing and the interaction between Cade and Hailey just made my heart sing. The characters along with excellent writing and a nice pace to the story made this one a very enjoyable read.
After a heartbreaking divorce, Avery Stowe moves herself and her autistic daughter Hailey to Redwood Ridge. The laid back lifestyle of the small town seems like just the place she's looking for. Their first night in town proves interesting though when they find an injured puppy and rush him to the local vets office. That's were Hailey first meets Cade O'Grady. It wasn't a good first meeting and Cade realizes quickly he's made a huge misjudgment. He's going to have to work hard to get back on Avery's good side. Avery's got all kinds of walls built up around her heart but watching the kind vet with her daughter is one sure way to knock all those walls down.
I definitely recommend this one.

I'm glad I went ahead picking this title to read. The start of the new Redwood Ridge series was exactly what I need to buoy up my spirit!
Small town, hunk of a vet (make that three), lots of pets (obviously), nosy and meddling aunts and mothers, an autistic but adorable little girl. My heart went pitter patter! To liven the story were the clinic animals: a parrot called Gossip, a timid Great Dane named Thor and his tormentor, She-rah the evil cat. There's plenty entertainment to have in this book!
The characters in the stories were likeable, both main and supporting. Cade had me swoon on early pages already with his forthrightness in apologizing when he realized his mistake. There's more swoon-worthy attributes this guy had, but I'll let readers found them themselves. ;-) And then there's Avery, single mom to a nonverbal autistic daughter after her divorced. Her endeavor to new life in new town with friendly people; it's heart-wrenching and sweet to follow.
Not only that, the supporting characters in the story were no less amusing! While I figured the other O'Grady brothers would have their own story to be told on the next books, I wouldn't mind to read side story of Brent, the Vet tech! (Hint, to the author! *winks*)
As a first timer to Kelly Moran's works, I find her writing enjoyable to read. I do hope to continue reading her books and surely can't wait for the next installment of the series!
Advanced copy of this book is kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. I am a big fan of Kelly Moran! She has realistic characters, that have witty banter and steamy love lives! Puppy Love did not disappoint! Avery and her daughter Hailey, who is autistic, need a fresh start after a divorce. A new man is the last thing that she needs, but when she is hired as an office assistant for a local vet, the sparks fly. Cade O'Grady, is content to be a vet during the day and a playboy at night until Avery takes over his office, but sometimes the last thing you want is the very thing you need. A fun story and I look forward to reading the rest in this series.
Take a recent divorcee with an autistic child; a handsome, much sought after veterinarian; and a small town where everyone knows your business. Mix it with humor and romance and you have a delightful tale.
