As a big Hall & Oates fan -- and particularly a fan of John Oates -- I enjoyed getting to know his life and background. The stories of his early life and early days as a musician were enjoyable. The writing was good and seemed natural, like one would expect Oates's voice to be if he were sharing a story with you. This was a book that I read in small chunks, though, because there wasn't a driving force that kept me turning pages for more. It's a very laid-back vibe, much like the music I love so much. Fans will enjoy it.
