I have not read the previous books in this series, and though it ’s considered a stand alone, I suspect starting with book 3 affects how I feel about the book.
The story centers around Ginger Boyce, a librarian in New Orleans for a convention , who ends up being at the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnesses a murder.
Saxon Hale is our other main character. He works in law enforcement and he and his team are in New Orleans searching for RAVEN, a murdered deep in the underworld.
They end up together when he and his team rescue her, and need to keep her safe, since she is the witness that will help them crack their case. Needless to say, they have lots of chemistry from the moment they meet.
Through out the story, they have lots of sex, there is suspense etc. My problem was that there were a slew of characters, the story kept jumping around, and at times it was hard to keep track of the plot. That I found distracting.
Though I have to say, the main characters were likable.
I was gifted this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Characters
Saxon Hale is a shadow operative. Ginger Boyce is a librarian who wants to have a little fun. She is strong and smart, able to handle the crazy situation she has been put through in the book.
Both Saxon and Ginger hit it off right from the start. A little too fast and a little unbelievable.
Storyline
Saxon’s team has been after an overlord known as Raven and no one has seen his appearance. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Ginger somehow witnesses a murder and sees the Raven. Now Saxon and his team are enlisted to help her stay alive from the enemies that want her dead.
Recommendation
This is the third novel for the Unbroken Heroes series but it felt like a standalone. I have not read the one prior to this one and I was not lost in the plot. There is non-stop action and hardly any breathers for the characters and plenty of romance between the lead characters.
It was an okay read. It was good but nothing too memorable.

Another story I struggled to get through. There were flow issues, pieces missing, inconsistencies and lots of repetitive words and phrases. We get to read about Saxon’s knuckles turning white frequently. Lots of lip twitching on almost all the men in the story, including the villains.

SPOILERS IN REVIEW

Saxon and Ginger fell too quickly. The initial sighting of the other and their reactions to each other under the circumstances just didn’t feel believable/realistic to me. Ginger stumbles onto someone being executed and tries to run from the scene only to literally run into Saxon. He whisks her away to safety and the games begin.

Ginger is a librarian by day but works with the CPS on the side. Her biggest assets are that she notices all the details, picks up subtleties and connects the dots quickly.

Saxon is married to his job. He has a list of friends with benefits and doesn’t want a relationship. He nonchalantly tells her he’s been sterilized because using sex to get information is part of the job. Seriously?! For as adamant as he was about not getting involved, he didn’t push too hard against falling into a relationship with her. And marrying her just to keep them from harms way until his team arrived? Yeah, that didn’t work for me either.

Lots of unusual names…Saxon, Vitus, Bram, Dunn, Kagan, Pulse, Athene. Loved DDS…death due to stupidity.

This is my first book in this series and by this author. Reading the stories in order might have made this flow better. Maybe. Not really inspired to go back or continue. It is a continuing story as Tyler is still on the loose.

This is a series that I was not aware. Meaning, I do not know the author. So when the invitation came, I was really surprise.

Since I do not judge a book by it's genre, and I try as much as possible to read the POV that I like, I find myself waiting for the next book in this series.

“I’m not in love.” Saxon replied. “And I’m not ever planning on tumbling into that tar pit. You’re welcome to it.” from Dare You to Run.

I can safely say... EAT YOUR WORDS!

Deep Into Trouble IS all about Saxon. If you haven't read about him, you need to read the first book Dangerous to Know. It will you the idea why I am so hyped with this book.

The mighty have fallen, and it was such a fall! The amount of action was good, the lines were better and the way everything was written was so nice. There are times, however, that I hope that the thoughts of the sub characters were not too over present. I enjoy reading Kagan's, Vitus' and Thias thoughts but not the rest. I felt that it was more like an filler, rather than making it more about the main couple. The way this was made was really something. There were times that I cannot fathom how he did it. But man! I do love Saxon!

I had to stop myself from gloating. He was so averse to love that when it bit him, he was the first one to surrender! You need to read the book to realize what I am talking about. It was such a satisfying book.

I stopped myself from reading the preview of the next book. I know it's Bram and I cannot wait for it.

Thank you for the chance to read this author. I was such a pleasure reading this book.

You really have to have a love of action and suspense to enjoy this book. From the first chapter on, the story took off. There is a lot going on and quite a few characters to keep up with. This is the third in the series, so there is reference to actions taken in previous books.

Despite starting in the middle of the story, I was able to keep up and still enjoy the chase we are lead on when Saxon takes Ginger and runs with his team. They are trying to keep her alive after witnessing a murder committed by a crime boss who is suppose to be dead.

This book ends with little pieces meant to get you ready for the next book in the series. I would recommend reading the books in order. While I enjoyed this book and the main characters, I didn't have enough knowledge of the other characters that could have made this book even more exciting to read if I had their background. I was having trouble getting into this book. It story felt forced and I just couldn't connect with some of the characters.

It just didn't keep me reading

Completely enjoyed this action packed book! Saxon and Ginger's story is fantastic and while it's the third in the series it easily stands on its own. Undercover operative Saxon is hot on the heels of a crime lord known as "Raven" when he stumbles upon Ginger. Ginger is a good girl in the wrong place at the wrong time but now that she's in danger Saxon knows he has to keep her safe. There's lots of adventure, a bit of humor, and a steamy romance on the pages of this book and I think you will definitely enjoy it. I highly recommend.

I have receive a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
It’s my first book by Dawn Ryder
This book started off pretty good, lot of action a super Alpha Hero and a Kickass heroine
Saxon Hale lives for the hunt--taking down the bad guys, stopping them dead in their tracks. His latest mission has him in New Orleans, where people go for the party that never ends. And there he meets Ginger
Ginger Boyce is a librarian who's growing tired of being so buttoned-up on the job, and when she attends a conference in the Big Easy, she decides to taste the wild side of life. But when her dance with darkness becomes lethal, she's in dire need of protection--and ends up in the embrace of a man who radiates danger and desire.
I love the synergy of the 2 main character and how they have met. The story took off real big and I was really into it. Action, intrigues lots of love In fact all the thing a rom suspense should have.

The downside of this book in MY opinion is the constant change of POV … its done so many time and sometime without any notice. This really bugs me because at some point I was really wondering which POV I was reading. Sometimes I had to re-read passages at least twice to make sure which character I was reading.

All in All it was a good story and I am looking forward to ready more from that author :)

Deep into Trouble by Dawn Ryder
Unbroken Heroes #3

At a convention, doing a good deed, having fun – then – suddenly eyewitness to a murder – Ginger Boyce is in trouble. Saxon Hale and his team, on the job in New Orleans looking for The Raven, are there to give Ginger a helping hand because the murder she saw will put away the man they are after. But, nothing is easy in this story. Who is evil and who is not and are there some that straddle the line between good and evil? How does a person know who to trust? Ginger is not your usual ditzy soft heroine but instead a smart, sassy, strong woman who wants to be a help rather than a hindrance. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. No matter what comes her way, Ginger manages. Saxon and his team are impressed. With assassins, snipers, corrupt politicians, mafia-types, good guys and some that are questionable this turned out to be an interesting read – so interesting that I could not put it down. I had a feeling it was part of a series but not having read the first two books was not a problem. I came away glad that Ginger and Boyce got their HEA and wondering what will happen in book four.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Be careful what you wish for? Ginger just wants to let go for a moment but that one moment almost gets her killed. She is now under the protection of a undercover government team that will do everything to keep her safe. Saxon knows that he can't cross that line, he is meant to keep her safe not get married to her. Ginger knows that she needs to live in the moment and if she is meant to die so be it but she needs more time with Saxton. The enemy is closing in and they will need to play the game if they ever want a future together?
Can Ginger hold it together and will Saxon come for her when everything is over?
A great story full of action, corruption and a team that has each other's backs.

If I could give this book more stars I would! IT WAS AWESOME. I lived the story with the characters. Dawn Ryder/Mary Wine is excellent at painting the picture and making the characters real.

I wanted to be Ginger Boyce. She is this small town librarian at a conference in New Orleans with her best friend. They like to have fun little daring adventures. Boy does she find out what she's really made of when she tries to give an autographed book to a "nice" woman they met at a bar. She accidentally witnesses a murder by the mysterious Raven who runs a major underground empire. She is rescued by Special Agent Saxon Hale, leader of the shadow ops team who have been trying to find and arrest the Raven. This starts the tangled adventure to keep Ginger alive and take down the Raven, former special agent Tyler Martin and expose the connection with congressman and presidential hopeful Carl Davis. This adventure is full of tech, hide and seek, and political under cover operations. Wow, just wow. I can't wait to dig into the next one as she had me guessing and intrigued the whole way.

Thank you St. Martin's for allowing me to ARC read and review this fabulous story!

Deep Into Trouble 'Deep Into Trouble' by Dawn Ryder  is book Three in the "Unbroken Heroes" series.  This is the story of Saxon and Ginger.  I have not yet read the other two books so for me this was a standalone book.   Ginger is a self proclaimed 'nosy person' which has lead her into become a librarian and research person.  It has also lead her into trouble where she witnessed a murder that she is now being hunted by the murders to take her out. Saxon loves the thrill of the hunt and is in New Orleans on a mission that is leading him t take down Raven.  But Ginger walks into his mission and now he is having to keep her safe.  But Saxon is also having strong feelings for her and she for him.   Ginger was a hoot!  I loved how she made Saxon feel and how he changed some around her.  This book had the excitement, some humor and a great main characters that I feel in love with!"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1831318-sissy-s-romance-book-review-for-you  https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2HX0B5ELOPP5Z?ie=UTF8&ref_=sv_ys_3https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookReviewhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1709181636033417/http://sissymaereads.blogspot.com/ https://romancebookreviewforyou.wordpress.com/http://booklikes.com/blog https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebookreviewforyoubloghttps://www.pinterest.com/u2soapsrus/

The first chapter alone blew me away. Super fast paced and highly addictive. I'm rooting for their happy ending and feel their struggle with knowing she's a job to him..at first. Love the story. Great writer. Thanks to Netgalley and St Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This is my first book and series by Dawn Ryder and I plan to go back and read the other books in this series. Dawn was able to take a dark back story and create light and fun while giving the characters a little realistic sides to them.
From first to last page reader will be have white knuckles wondering what will next. The first half is running dodging bullets, the smaller middle is lots of hot sex and the last several chapters will keep the readers hooked.
Readers will love the female lead because she is feisty, strong and doesn't back down from a fight.
It can be read as a stand alone novel. I did get a little lost every so often but I think that was more due to the tiny humans in my home that wanted me to cook dinner instead of hiding in the bathroom reading this fun, action packed novel.
I plan to pick up the first two in the series and keep on reading Dawn Ryder's Unbroken Heroes books.
Spoilers:
(What happened to her friend in New Orleans? Did her somewhere in the book?)
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the Advance Copy. I can't wait to read and review more by this author.

Loved the book. Ginger ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Saxon realizes that Ginger didn't belong and saved her...

I liked book, really kept you on your toes. Ginger is a librarian trying to have a little fun, but it back fires. She gets new clothes and sets out to live a little in New Orleans streets, setting out to give a signed copy of a book to a stripper she met earlier by the name of Kitten. She ends up seeing a murder taking place, and makes a run for it. Saxon is in charge of a sting operation, trying to bring down a murderer by the name of Raven, and his employee none other but Kitten. Saxon sees Ginger and knows she does not belong where she is going(trying not to give spoilers). This is a case of wrong place and wrong time. While Ginger is running, she bumps into Saxon, who follows her, and not too soon. While trying to keep Ginger safe, and trying to stay one step ahead, the story gets better. We have agents, senators, and family, and they all have a part in this. Sometimes you wonder if they are good or bad. The story does not end, we need to no what happens with Tyler.

Special ops and an adventurous librarian…

This is the third book in the Unbroken Heroes series that can be read as a stand-alone though part of the storyline is a continuation from previous books.

It’s taken a while for Saxon Hale and his special operations team to track down the elusive Raven to New Orleans. They’re staking the area out when he spots a gorgeous sexy woman headed directly toward the business that is of interest to them. His gut instinct tells him she shouldn’t be there, she’s an innocent heading into dangerous waters but there’s nothing he can do to stop her without blowing the team’s cover. It’s not long before shots are heard and the woman runs out of the establishment in desperate fear for her life. Saxon and his team jump into action, for the first time there might be a witness but they’ll have to get her out of the city alive, a city much controlled by the Raven’s organization.

Away from home at a librarian conference Ginger Boyce is looking to really enjoy herself, a small escape from the bland boring life she normally leads. But bringing an autographed book to a stripper she’d met in a bar is taking adventure to an extreme. She unknowingly walks into the lair of killers and sees what she shouldn’t, the face of the Raven and what’s worse is that she not only recognizes who he is but is astonished by the identity. Running for her life she smacks into the sexiest commanding man she has ever met and she’s in luck, he’s one of the good guys. She wanted some adventure and she got some but you have to be careful what you wish for, this adventure could see her dead.

This heroine, when she should be focused on saving her life keeps thinking about her sexy savior. Post-traumatic stress from the situation at work? Hard to accept what has happened? A way to cope with the adrenalin and fear running through her veins? All of the above and she’s never met someone like Saxon and this woman really likes what she sees. And it’s mutual, the hero is constantly fighting the distraction that she is, in his line of business he never thought he’d meet a woman so innocent yet captivating. Oddly enough they make an interesting pair, now they just need to survive. Can this over protective alpha keep the sassy librarian alive long enough to see if they could have something real?

This read was fast paced, non-stop action from the opening pages that is a continuation of the suspense storyline from the previous books, we finally learn who the Raven really is. The amazing conspiracy that keeps playing out reaches to the highest levels of government, there are explosive twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and this reader is dying to know how it all finally resolves. This was great romantic suspense, interesting characters with strong chemistry and amusing dynamics.

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

Very cute story of your not-so-typical bookworm librarian. Love the unique twists and difficulties that brought out the real character of Ginger and her protector Saxon. Lively romp through violence and death threats.

Ginger, a librarian attending a conference in New Orleans, stumbles upon an undercover operation and now her life is in danger. Saxon and his team have been working on this case for awhile and can't believe a librarian cracked it open. Now Saxon has to protect Ginger while trying to stay professional and detached. Ginger and Saxon are a fantastic couple who learn what's important in life as they struggle to survive. Lots of suspense and red hot romance. Love it!
