I really enjoyed this book, and got very interesting insight to the bourbon making industry. Great chemistry between the leads and fabulous writing.
Bourbon, Tequila, Puerto Vallarta and lots of fun! Dive into this must read and discover a story rich in family tradition, lots of sexy scenes and a hero who will discover love is better the second time around.
I couldn’t finish this book, I like the author’s writing and have enjoyed many of their books before but this one wasn’t one I could get into. I will try again when the author’s next book is released as I am a fan of theirs.
Wow, this was beyond boring. I struggled to make it through this as really no one held my interest. This sounded like a promising premise, but fell far short.
As a reader, I find myself disliking more heroines than heroes. I guess I need them to stand up more for themselves. For every 10 heroines I dislike, I hate 1 hero. Guess who I didn't like in this book. The hero aka Brandon. We didn't get along from the first page. He seemed too anal and boring to me. Even after I read the whole book and got to know him better, I can't say that I like him. He is the reason I didn't like the book. To be honest when I think of this story he is the first thing that pops into my mind and that's not a good thing. I would have liked the book if Brandon was a little different. I liked the plot line, pretty much every other character I met and the book had potential. Lesa was a good heroine and I liked her. I got her reasoning and I felt sorry for her when I saw what her father wanted her to do.
Couldn't put it down! Was highly entertaining! I loved it so much! Definitely a new author for me to love! Can't wait to read more!
A Shot With You is the 2nd book in the Bourbon Brothers series. I had not read the first before reading this one but I had no problems being able to follow along. This book did get off to a bit of a slow start for me, especially for a romance novel. The first several chapters were setting the characters up so you got to "know" them, but I would have liked to see more going on before about half way (or more) through the book.
Brandon Morgan works for his family's bourbon brand in Kentucky and is currently on vacation in Mexico. Not too keen on going on the fun cruise excursions, he instead books a tour to a tequila distillery. He is going for work - he thinks that if he sells his bourbon barrels to the distillery they can use them to make their tequila and it is a win win situation. When he arrives, his tour is led by the owner's daughter, Lesa, and it seems like both are interested in each other at first sight.
After chatting (and almost kissing), Brandon ends up missing his bus back to the cruise ship. Lesa and her cousin offer to drive him back but first he talks to her father about his business plan. As luck would have it, Papa decides to send Lesa to Kentucky to check out the Bourbon company and see if making the deal is a good idea. What's also a good idea - Brandon and Lesa get some more time together to see where their relationship goes, if anywhere.
Brandon had been burned in the past by a former girlfriend, so he is hesitant to rush into anything - especially with someone who may be involved with his business. But Lesa is just too irresistible. Lesa isn't sure she wants anything to happen with Brandon either, even though there is a mutual attraction. She only wants to help the tequila business get back on its feet so she can travel the world. Alone.
But the two can't resist each other forever! (Although it did kind of seem like they would for a while there!) I did really enjoy this book, even though it did get off to a rocky start for me and I wasn't sure if I was going to push through or give up on it. I am glad that I didn't give up on it because I did like the story and the characters.
I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated.
This was so much fun!! Brandon and Lesa are complete opposites - he's a workaholic and she's just looking for a fling and to move on. I really enjoyed this book - the humor, the story and the romance!
There isn't a lot for me to say about this one. I really liked Teri Anne Stanley's writing, but I just found the main characters to be a little.... boring, I guess. Other than a great ass, I don't really see what Lesa sees in Brandon. He's a nice enough guy, but he's just a standard garden-variety workaholic who doesn't seem to have any other interests.
Lesa was a little bit more interesting, but ultimately not quite enough to save this one for me. It was bad, just a little bland.
Super fun read!! A Shot with You is the second in the Bourbon Brothers series but can be read as a stand alone. I loved the pairing of Brandon & Lesa. The author created two fun & interesting characters. I also loved how detailed the setting was- I was born & raised near KY & spent many summers visiting the area. Teri Anne Stanley captured its beauty wonderfully
I look forward to reading the first book in the Bourbon Brothers series & more by Teri Anne Stanley.

This was a new author to me so wasn't sure about the writing style. I am so glad I gave this story a chance. The witty banter was funny and pulled it together. Perfectly paced pulling you in from the start. Had a great ending to an already great story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book through NetGalley.
This is a sweet stand alone story even though it is part of a series. It is a great story to read over a cold winter weekend. Great characters that leave you wanting to read more from the author.
Cute story! It didn't quite have the impact that the first one in the series did ( Drunk on You ), but it was still a worthy follow-up. Brandon and Lesa make a nice couple, even if some of the drama isn't quite there--the family dynamics and chemistry makes up for a lot, though.
This is one I would have liked to have heard in audio, if only to hear Lesa's accent and occasional Spanish dialogue.
An entertaining way to start the new year!

This was a fun and flirty story between a workaholic homebody and a trapped free spirit who wanted to see the world. Lesa and Brandon, for me, really balanced each other out. I loved their flirty banter as well as the way they interacted with his family. I felt very sympathetic to Lesa and could see how she felt in her life situation. And I loved the transformation of Brandon that he endured throughout the book. His grandparents made me laugh out loud several times. And it was great seeing Allie and Justin from book one along with catching up with them. This is such a fun, quick read with some really nice hot scenes...yowza! I hope we get more from this family because they are a gem.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

This was a funny, cute, story with witty, flirty, banter as well as some heat in this opposites attract romance. But as much as I enjoyed the book it started a little slow for me and I ended up putting it down more often than not, but eventually it did pick up. The main characters are likable. I enjoyed their growing connection and chemistry. They had a playfulness and flirtatiousness that did explode into a lot of Hotness. It is well written. I enjoyed the family interactions and how this interfered with Brandon and Lesas’ ability to act on their feelings that they have for one another. I also enjoyed and found it interesting, that the storyline, revolved around a partnership of the bourbon and tequila businesses. I would like to thank Entangled for the opportunity to read and review this story for them.
This is the first time I have read this author and look forward to more of her stories.

This second book in the Bourbon Boys series was seriously good fun reading...with a wacky cast of characters that leave you clutching your sides with laughter at some of the wickedly smart dialog...especially from Grandpa Morgan. Bourbon as a subject matter made for a fascinating story, with just enough background and terminology to keep things interesting and moving along at a fairly quick clip.
Brandon as a true Southern gentleman was endearing in his protectiveness towards Lesa...and her mixing up metaphors was hilarious. I loved that there was no over the top stereotypes, just well developed characters that translated well in their own way, cultures were left completely out of the mixture and to the imagination of the reader.

A Shot with You by Terri Anne Stanley is book number two in the Bourbon Brothers series. This is Lesa Ruiz and Brandon Morgan’s story.
This is a sexy, sweet, and funny romance. I enjoyed the book even though it started out a little slow. The chemistry between Brandon and Lesa was great. I also enjoyed the humor the author incorporated into the story. This was a fun read. I really loved Brandon’s character.
FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
3.5 Stars ~ A sweet romantic read, the second instalment shows us Brandon workaholic and adventurous Lesa. That a chance meeting can change a couple for the better and that bourbon/tequila is more than a drink.

Kitty's review:
A Shot With You is definitely a romantic comedy that has 2 beautiful dogs that steal the show along with a sexy, workaholic man and a fun-loving, rambunctious woman who would like nothing better to have a fling, help save the family business and get on with her life. But, sometimes things just don’t happen the way you plan.
Brandon and Lesa were the classic opposites attract couple. He was burned one to many times and threw himself into proving himself at Blue Mountain Bourbon. She was tied down her whole life and wants nothing more than to see Pequeña Zarigüeya (Little Oposum) on its feet so that she could start traveling. But, that may not be in the cards for her. Brank is proving to be hard to resist and she’s feeling very comfortable in backwoods Kentucky.
Brandon Frank Morgan is suddenly finding himself lusting after a potential business partner … something he swore he would never do again. There is something different about Lesa and he can’t stop himself from caring about her. Then the inevitable happens and he thinks he’s been played, again. Time to pick up the pieces and move forward.
Lesa soon finds out that it’s no fun traveling alone, that she misses Mabel and Maude and that maybe the backwoods of Kentucky just may be the place for her. But, before that, she has to fulfill the promise she made to her mother.
I smiled throughout this whole story. It was sweet. It was fun. Brandon could be romantic when he tried. Mable and Maude were the perfect sidekicks for Brandon and brought laugh-out-loud scenes to the story. Grandma and Grandpa Morgan were delightful. Lesa was just wonderful … I don’t think she had a bad bone or thought in her body. The cross-over in the languages was so cute. I loved how she made fun of the way he talked and how she mixed up our words causing the straight-laced Brandon to belly-laugh. So, I really enjoyed A Shot With You. It was sweet, fun and romantic.
3.5 Fiery Bourbon Stars!
This was a cute story. It was refreshing to see a nice Kentucky boy find love with a fiery Latina. Brandon Morgan and Lesa Ruiz were a great combination. He was sweet and respectful and she was the adventurer at heart looking for new horizon to expand to.
While I found this to be a sweet story, I found it to be somewhat predictable. I also found that the chemistry between Brandon and Lesa was very very tepid and slow-burn esque. While that was bearable, I did have a major issue with Brandon, as I found him to be somewhat beta and Lesa to be the alpha aggressive party in their relationship.
All in all, this was a nice refreshing story.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Entangled Publishing/Lovestruck for an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for a fair review.
This is a fun and sexy read! It made me laugh and it was very entertaining!
Brandon is a workaholic. He doesn't mix pleasure with business. Lesa has always taken care of her family. She took care of her mom while her father was working. Now she wants to feel free and travel around the world. She doesn't want any ties. When she meets Brandon she only wants to have a little affair.
The chemistry between them is great and the book is an easy and entertaining read.
