When Hailey Mitchel desires the one many she can't have will she resist an opportunity to win him over?

One month is all Caleb Langston needs to give her the man he desires, until he discovers that he can't let her go. What will happen?

Seduction, scotch, rules, misunderstandings, business deals gone wrong, and a whole lot of spice.

If you like billionaire romances, you will enjoy this one.

Boy has an enemy and uses the girl in order to get his revenge and ends up falling for her. Girl wants another boy (and that guy happens to be the enemy of boy one) and with the help of boy #1 she tries to make him notice her. Boy #2 shows interest, but the girl is starting to fall for boy #1. This could sum up perfectly the book. A couple of different classic/cliched storylines were mixed together in order to produce this one. It might have been something I have read a hundred times, but I still liked the book. I hope Alec will get a story even if my relationship with him was rocky. I liked him in the begging, but then he pissed me off and he made me swore. I don't usually do that while reading. I got more pissed at Alec than I got at Caleb and he was the one who was using the heroine. Sometimes my logic doesn't work as it seems. I wanted a little more angst. I felt like the story could use some more. After all not only Caleb's girl is pining for someone else, there is this hate between the two men. And as the cliche goes they managed to forgive each other and go back to the friendship they had. The Billionaire's Bet was a good read and it kept me reading even if the story was one I knew who it would go.

I liked hailey and Alex, but this story line just felt tired. As I was reading I just kept thinking been here, read that and it was hard for me to stay interested in the book.

Hailey is a hard worker, she knows what needs to be done and does it without question. Which is why its so hard for her to understand why her boss, Alec, doesn't seem to notice all the work she does, or even more, why he doesn't notice her as a person. She's thought herself in love with him for a while, but known he didn't see it himself.

Caleb is Alec's rival, and more than that Enemy Number One. But Caleb sees something between them that Hailey and Alec don't see and he plans to use it to his advantage. It's the perfect plot for revenge, even if it means hurting a decent woman. But as they say, even the best plans fail, and Caleb forgot to take one thing into consideration as he devised his initial plot; Love and feelings.

Once Caleb confronts Hailey with his observations about what is (or isn't) going on between her and Alec, he offers her a propostion in the form of a bet, He's got one month to make her fall for him, and if that doesn't happen, he will help her win Alec's heart. But what Hailey doesn't know when she falls into the lure is that Caleb has side plans that have nothing to do with her.

The Billionaire's Bet grabbed my attention from page one, I liked Hailey immdiately and related to her in many ways, but more so I was curious what the history between Caleb and Alec was. I needed to know what came between two men who for all intents and purposes seemed to have been brothers if not by blood but heart for years. What had gone wrong between them to make such devious plots abound?

This story will keep you hooked needing to find out the details of the past and also watching to see how the whole mess will play out. Can love trump revenge? Can love win? Can a revenge driven man change his whole outlook? The Billionaire's Bet will answer all of those questions and more as you flip each page and delve deeper into the story of Hailey, Caleb and Alec. You'll laugh, you'll feel frustrated at not knowing every detail and wanting the knowledge, you'll want to smack Caleb and Alec on the back of the head sometimes, but you'll also fall in love and find yourself rooting for Hailey and love.

4 Stars!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has a bet, secrets, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first:
Right Billionaire, Wrong Wedding (The Sexy Billionaires #1)

This is Hailey and Caleb’s story. Hailey wants her boss but he does not notice her in that want. His business rival Caleb has an offer she can’t refuse. But what happens when revenge turns into love. When feeling get involved? When secrets are exposed. Who will come out the winner in the end? Will she fall only to get her heart broken with secrets? Can she trust anyone?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Hailey Had a crush on her boss Alec who is the CEO of Charr Industries. Hailey was a lawyer and had worked close with Alec for the last three years. Alec only sees Hailey as a valued employee. Then Caleb meets Hailey first he tries to get her to date him and then offers her a job in the business he owns, but Hailey won’t say yes to either proposition. There is a history between Alec and Caleb. They don’t talk about it but it is there beneath a business rivalry they have had for years now. Caleb and Alec’s friendship had been destroyed by the past and Caleb had been severely hurt mentally. It was sad because at one time Alec and Caleb were as close as brothers. Hailey lets it slip how she feels about Alec and Caleb comes up with a bet. Caleb says give him a month to make Hailey fall in love with him and in the same time Caleb will give her tips to make Alec notice her and Hailey does actually start dating Caleb to get Alex to notice her. Alex gets mad about Caleb and Hailey. Alec even takes Hailey to dinner to warn her about Caleb but then he talks about business. Hailey seems to blossom when with Caleb then Hailey ends up dating both men trying to decide what she really wants. Then everything blows up and Hailey becomes hurt and bitter and questions her own judgement. Hailey also feels humiliated and used by Caleb as he planned for Alec to fall for Hailey then take her away from Alec so Alec would hurt like he had so many years before. But Caleb did like Hailey before the bet and wanted to date her and was jealous when other men even looked at Hailey.
I like the story a lot but there was also things i didn’t like. For example using Hailey to try to hurt Alec yet he already liked her just didn’t really make sense there. But I did like how Caleb encourages Hailey to be more herself. I didn’t like that Hailey got hurt and even questioned her own judgement. I didn’t particularly care that it took Hailey dating Alec for him to notice her as a woman.yet i enjoyed this story as well as the plot. I didn’t like the revenge thing but then Caleb starts to care more for Hailey and wants to protect her as well as possess her. Hailey took a chance and got hurt but she did come back from the whole thing. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.

The Billionaire's Bet is fun, sexy and entertaining with interesting, layered characters. Hailey has been in love with her boss, Alec, for as long as she's worked for him. Unfortunately for this attorney, he only sees her as a colleague. Then along comes Caleb with an offer that Hailey can't help but take him up on: one month and Caleb will get Hailey to fall in love with him. If she doesn't, he'll help her capture Alec's heart. What Hailey doesn't know is that Caleb has his heart set on vengeance upon Alec and Hailey is just the pawn he's using to get said revenge. But, what Caleb didn't count on was falling for Hailey. Yeah, sounds like a grand plan, right?! Of course, it's predictable in that we all know it won't work, or at least, it won't be that straightforward. Although it's easy to predict what will happen, Caleb and Hailey are not shallow, one dimensional characters, so even though you just knew what would happen, reading about them getting there is entertaining. They've got some interesting layers. Caleb's backstory, in particular, sets him above the box of the typical shallow billionaire so prevalent in romances today.

Caleb isn't a bad guy, he's actually got a heart buried underneath his quest for vengeance. And Hailey is amazing. She's so strong and sweet, just waiting for the right guy to come along and show her how amazing she is. I hurt for her when the big reveal was uncovered, because of the 3, she was the least deserving of that hurt. Both Caleb and Alec had their fair share of blame for what happened, but not Hailey, and of course, she's the one who ends up hurt the most. It was truly cringeworthy. Thank God for Caleb (and Alec) redeeming himself, though!

If you want a slightly out of the box billionaire story, with layered characters and a sweet, steamy connection, look no further than The Billionaire's Bet!

This is the second book by Victoria Davies I've read, and I actually liked this one better than the first (Right Billionaire, Wrong Wedding). I liked this one because of the dynamics between the 3 key players in the book. I enjoyed the interactions between Caleb and Hailey, their shopping excursion was hilarious that somehow turned sexy. I will admit that I was surprised when the truth about what happened between Caleb and Alex all those years ago finally came out. Surprised that Alex went that far with his retribution towards someone he considered a brother. It pretty much all came down to both Alex and Caleb believing that they always played second fiddle to the other, not realizing the strengths they each possessed on their own, and those beliefs morphed into a bit of jealousy. I felt horrible for Hailey once she learned the truth, and what Caleb did was terrible, but Alex really wasn't any better. I do hope we get a story about Alex, since we didn't hear any more about him once he helped to get Hailey to see Caleb, but a good wrap up for this unexpected love story.

Yes, the I'll take from you the one you love in the name of revenge and it will not phase me one bit story-line ... that always ends well. Bwahahahaha LOL It's stories like these that make me love contemporary romances so much. They're FUN! They are perfect for a fictional world where in the end, even ridic ideas somehow end up okay :) That's why we read these, right? Maybe just me LOL

Okay, so the story is told in dual POV. That's always going to be a win for me. I wish more authors chose that path. It automatically adds depth to your characters and leaves the guessing work out of the equation. I never had to imagine or infer what Caleb or Hailey where feeling or thinking or plotting ;) It made me understand them more, which leads to their likeability. Both of them were really well developed, along with the plot itself. The story unfolded nicely without any holes.

The Billionaire's Bet was sexy and entertaining and just plain fun to read. It was a bit mysterious because yes, the revenge was more than meets the eye, and that also was well thought out. You wouldn't go wrong one-clicking this one :)

QuickShot Review
I enjoyed this romance for the character development, although the plot was lacking. The story could have used a little more time setting up the relationship between Caleb, Alec and Hailey, and perhaps some sort of background for their business. However, once focus turns to romance, that part is well done. The chemistry between Caleb and Hailey is on point. Some twists in the plot were unnecessary. Little grammatical errors were evident (conscience instead of conscious is one of those things that sticks out to me when reading an ARC), so I hope it’s corrected in final version. Overall, it was enjoyable as a quick category type of read and if that's your gig, you may enjoy this.

The Billionaire's Bet by Victoria Davies is book number two in the Sexy Billionaires series. This is Hailey Mitchel and Caleb Langston's story.

A fun read! The story caught my attention from the beginning and kept it throughout the book. I fell in love with Hailey and Caleb's characters. But, there was just something about Caleb. He won my heart!

This was a fun, sexy, and entertaining romance with a little mystery. If you need an escape from reality or just looking for a great romance, then this is an excellent choice.

This is a fun, quick read that I just loved. In it, Hailey, a corporate attorney, has a crush on her boss. Unfortunately, he only sees her as a faithful assistant. When his sworn enemy offers her a deal with the devil to finally win his attention, she agrees. What follows is a love triangle with Hailey the pawn between two billionaires. Hailey changes everything to get the man of her dreams, but after all that, is the cost too high?

The two men are both damaged by their personal history, but only want to add additional hurt to each other. They don't even seem to care that they're playing tug of war over Hailey.

When a romance involves trickery and deceit it’s always a bit “ify” for me, for I absolutely hate those things in real life. Yet, I can acknowledge that such things happen in real life and fiction all the time. When it’s presented right it can be an additional tension between the couple who are truly falling in love – and that was exactly the case for Hailey and Caleb in The Billionaire’s Bet.

An event in their past destroyed the strong friendship between Caleb and Alec. Neither talks about it, no details are ever given easily but it’s been brewing, festering beneath the surface of their business’s rivalry for years now. Caleb has been searching for a dent in Alec’s armor for quite some time, and he believes he’s finally found the way to deliver a crushing blow to his former friend’s ego. It really is too bad that a lovely woman will end up hating them both by the final reveal.

Hailey has been crushing on her boss, Alec, almost from the beginning of their three years working closely together. But he sees her as a valued employee and a friend. She’s convinced there could be more between them if he’d only notice her. Unfortunately, Caleb, her company’s arch rival has been after her for a long time trying to entice her away to his own company. On this day she’s handed him that final clue that will change everything for all three people. She’s let her feelings toward Alec slip and Caleb sweeps in with a devil’s bargain… one she’s crazy to take, but then crazy can be good.

As I mentioned, I went into this story with a careful eye. And was pleasantly surprised that almost from the beginning of their bet, Caleb was feeling badly, a bit remorseful and definitely personally interested in Hailey as a woman he’d want in his own life. Hailey blossoms under Caleb’s careful care. She’s a strong, intelligent, independent woman in her own right but Caleb brings more to her and it’s not long before she begins to wonder which man she truly does want for life. Of course, everything will blow up in their faces and Hailey’s left hurt, bitter and questioning everything about her own judgement. She’s not one to run, but it’s very tempting right now. It was sad to finally get to the bottom of the reasons for the destruction of Alec and Caleb’s friendship. More proof that actions taken in anger will have long ranged consequences.

By the ending of The Billionaire’s Bet I was completely satisfied with the end results of the romance and very glad that I had taken a chance on a story that could have turned out quite differently. I know that there are many readers who will bypass any romance that is built on a lie – to those readers I’d like to say take a chance on this one, I think you’ll find a good, solid story and come to think differently of Caleb by the story’s end. I enjoyed myself very much in this world. And I’ve realized that somehow I missed the first story in this series – which I’m heading over to Amazon to fix right now.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is classic Harlequin type writing, people. Two once, close as brothers, best friends, now adversaries, who end up fighting over the same girl, who was playing with fire herself in agreeing to a bet in hopes of convincing one of them to finally notice her all collide in one big pile of ill-fated revenge and regret.

Oh, what a tangled web they all did weave. Not surprisingly secrets and past accusations get revealed/revisited and the truth along with declarations of love are put out there in hopes of righting past wrongs and paving the way to a HEA for the main couple. But not before quite of bit of inner debating and conflict.

With Caleb ready to use then seemingly willing to dump Hailey and her letting him do smexy things to her while supposedly pining over Alec, I can’t help but feel Alec was the better person here, though he hung Caleb out to dry years ago after a different sort of other woman drama.

If you are in the mood for a love triangle where revenge leads to regret and an infatuated heroine mistakenly thought she knew what she wanted, you might want to consider this one. The writing did flow, but I can’t say I particularly respected the characters when all was said and done. At least one of them, however, had to do a large amount of groveling to make things right.

Title: The Billionaire’s Bet, Series: The Sexy Billionaires (Book 2), Author: Victoria Davies, Pages: 193, stand-alone but part of a series, HEA, VERY smexy scenes, love triangle, OW/OM drama, hero wants revenge, heroine should have known better.

Book 1 - Right Billionaire, Wrong Wedding (Dorian & Allison), 10/10/16, Pages: 216
Book 2 - The Billionaire’s Bet (Caleb & Hailey), 1/23/17, Pages: 193

The Billionaire's Bet by Victoria Davies......I felt like I was watching parts of Pretty Woman, which I loved that movie, it was so good I could not put it down. The story is such a fun flirtatious sexy read with two hot billionaires in competition with each other. I absolutely loved watching the story unfold between Alec, Caleb and Hailey. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. The Billionaire's Bet is vindictive, sexy and intriguing at every turn. The intricate plot line, the clueless characters and the underlining emotions all amp up the volume on this explosive triangle. Ms. Davies delivers a hot bed of emotions all rolled up in one hot tamale of a romance.
