At first it was really similar to a series another just released. It was like deja vu. I hated Logan for the first half of the book. He had such a chop on his shoulder I'm surprised he had friends. After he got his act together the book flowed better. I loved that it was set in Colorado where I live. It made it feel closer to home.
Claiming Grace was amazing. I couldn't put my phone down until I finished the book. Logan and Grace's love was sweet. It survived all obstacles thrown their way. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Logan and his brothers return home to bury his father and stay to start a company in his name. He crosses paths with a friend and old flame from high school and discovers the truth about her life. Grace must find the courage to break away from a past of abuse to find a future with Logan. First book in new series and truly works on the reader's emotions as this author tackles hard topics.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinion is entirely my own.
This is a new series by Susan Stoker and a must read...I loved it. Some will think less of this young woman for not being stronger, but a life time of emotional abuse has left Grace broken. Her controlling parents were manipulative and evil. Logan her highschool sweetheart returns ten years later and all wasn't as it seemed. Logan and his brothers start up a security company helping people who have been abused escape. Can Logan wake up and see what is happening with Grace? Will he rescue his damsel in distress? You'll be hoping for a second chance.
This story has a solid story line and well developed characters, I look forward to hearing about the other brothers.
Wow , I loved this book . A good look at how physical and emotional abuse effects a person . While physical abuse is usually easier to spot emotional abuse is not . I like that Grace and Logan both over came obstacles and found each other again 10 years later . It was heartwarming to see Grace learn to stand up for herself and find happiness. I'm really looking forward to more books in this series .
Good typical Susan Stoker, but the villiains in this book were too vindictive, evil and totally over the top,
I really love Stoker's Seals and Delta books, so really wanted to love this new series. I didn't, I tried but I was just not able to finish. Maybe I was just not feeling it at the time I started it. The storyline felt like it was, been there, already read it. I decided to put it aside and re-start later, to see if I can enjoy this book like her others.
While I am a fan of this author, this particular story fell short for me. I thought that there were too many predicable events and "misunderstandings." Grace, although lacking self-confidence came off as immature and annoying. The dialogue was stiff and lacking emotion in my view. I had a difficult time finishing the book and the foreshadow to the next story was not enticing. I am a big fan of the Seal of Protection series. I hope the next set of characters will be more in depth.
Claiming Grace is a whole new book in a whole new series by Susan Stoker and will be going in my top MUST HAVE BOOKS of 2017! Claiming Grace is just slightly different than previous books by Miss Stoker. But it still has EVERYTHING I love! Like a great caring hero and the sweet damsel in distress. I freaking LOVED how Ace Security came to be! The fact that we have three brothers who want to help people that need it is just one storyline, that captures my heart every time. Grace and Logan stole my heart and my breath and I could NOT and DID NOT put this book down until I was done, and then I was sad and wanted to read it again IMMEDIATELY! That is one thing I can say about Susan Stoker's books, is she writes the kind of romance with the kind of heroes that have me falling in love right away and have me NEEDING to read the books again and again.
Her storylines never get old, even when they have the similar plots. I never thought I would like that either, but Susan Stoker knows what she is doing and makes me crave her books. Claiming Grace is definitely a top read for me and one I HIGHLY recommend. Fans of hers will came crawling and begging for more in this new series! I freaking LOVED it so hard!
Claiming Grace gets a MUST HAVE THIS RIGHT NOW FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Susan Stoker wins me over AGAIN and I will happily tell anyone who listens that this book must be a MUST READ!
I love Susan Stoker, but I have to admit to feeling disappointed with this story. I wanted to shake the main character for being so spineless. There is a difference in characters who find themselves in a tough spot and those who roll over and become a doormat. The excuse of seeking parental approval only goes so far as a plausible plot device.
I can tell that a story is coming with a secondary character in this story and can only hope her characterization is changed. Every word And action from Alexis was annoying. But there is still time to change the future and hopefully the author will.
I would rate every other Stoker book at 4 or 5 stars. This one just doesn't live up to its predecessors.
Loved this story, this was a book that made me stop to think about abuse and types of abuse that are overlooked. Logan and grace were so cute together, I loved reading their story. I will be keeping an eye out for more in this series.
Wow, unable to put this book down. Susan Stoker's books keep you reading every time. Misunderstanding between Logan and Grace. Grace thought Logan forgot about her when he went to the army. He parent caused all sorts of abuse to their daughter.
LOVED!!! This is a phenomenal start to a new series in which the three Anderson boys return home after many years away to begin a new security business. Their goal in the business is to help victims of abuse, particularly male victims, to get away and be safe. They grew up in a horrible home and Logan thinks he knows all there is to know about domestic violence.
Grace is a sweet girl that Logan knew in school and thought would be his forever girl. Circumstances kept them apart and now he won't even talk to her. His friends know something he doesn't know and conspire to throw them together. What follows turns everything that Logan knows upside down.
This is a very fast paced novel that had me turning pages just as quickly as possible. This is a must read novel that fans of the genre will love. The author is on my must read authors' list and she should probably be on yours as well.
