This ends the series, and I kind of guessed where it was going, it was still a surprise. Tied up a lot of loose ends. Very enjoyable

This is the final book in Feehan's Drake Sisters/Sea Haven spin-off, Sisters of the Heart.

Five years ago Blythe Daniels married Viktor Prakenskii after knowing him a week. Then he busted her step-father as a pedophile and left her to deal with the aftermath without a word. Although she's never been able to get over him, she doesn't consider them married and wants nothing to do with him. So when he unexpectedly shows up in town and lays claim to her in public, she's pretty furious. And confused. Especially since he claims he left her a letter explaining everything - and his excuse for disappearing is pretty damn good. Still, opening herself up to him after the trauma she suffered because of him isn't high on her priority list.

Viktor always intended to return for Blythe, but he had to finish his undercover op first. He didn't expect it to last as long as it did, but he knew she'd be waiting for him. He had no idea the trauma she suffered while he was gone. While dealing with their final target, he also needs to win Blythe back and convince her they're meant to be.

This wrapped up some loose threads from the previous books in the series, and we got to see all the previous couples again, which is nice. I really liked the action and the MC element. I'll be curious to read more about them in the future. Viktor and his MC had become a family. I really enjoyed their interactions with each other, and watching them warily begin to accept his blood-brothers.

As for Blythe and Viktor, I liked them as a couple, but something about their romance didn't work for me. I think it was the rushed feeling as they came back together. I would have liked to see more of them alone, discussing their past issues and getting to know each other again.

There was a good amount of humor. I cracked up several times. Especially when it came to Blythe and the MC. I've always enjoyed the relationship between the sisters, and now the brothers as well. Feehan writes great family relationships.

I'm sad to see the series come to a close, but I'm happy to see Feehan is continuing on with Viktor's Torpedo Ink MC brothers.

Feehan finishes the series on a high note. I was definitely left wanting more.

Well the author brings this series to a close in her own inimitable style. Pairing up those characters from her previous Sea Haven series with those we've learned to love in this her Sisters of the Heart world. It's a culmination of so much that has gone before and yet felt right as it brings about a closure that was long overdue.
The last Prakenskii boy is coming to Sea Haven after five long lonely years without the woman who awakened his heart. Yet there's so much that has happened in those intervening years that Victor will have a fight on his hands to win back Blythe. Blythe has survived loss and tragedy but there's still a fire burning in her , an anger that has never really been appeased. Now Victor is back but the secret life he has led is bringing danger into Blythes home but that's just the beginning of Blythes worries as it's clear Victor is there to finish an undercover job so why should she believe him after all this time?
Well this was an ensemble piece and no mistake . Yes there's a tightly written plot and yes there's a steamy romance within these pages but I thought with so many characters it felt like a lesson in logistics! It was fun catching up with old friends and seeing what's happening in their lives now but all the new ones just had my head spinning. I'm loving the new direction and all the delicious possibilities if the author decides to flesh out her MC idea and note their home would be close to Sea Haven which means old favourites could pop up now and then. Torpedo Ink are without a doubt an intruiging bunch so I look forward to reading more about them .
If you've enjoyed this authors previous work then you will have noticed that her heroes are always domineering men who need to be in charge. Victor is no different and is almost seen as the messiah by those of Torpedo Ink who follow him and indeed his road name is Czar! Around Blythe he is still a control freak but she's ready to slap him down. I did enjoy seeing them reconnect and thought their feelings were palpable but honestly? I'd have liked to see him work a lot harder for her understanding and forgiveness . Their intimate scenes happily do not dominate the book but the word intimate might not apply one hundred percent so you do need to read the book as it's quite humourous at times. I don't particularly associate this author with humour so this lighter touch worked very well.
My final thoughts are there's lots going on as it hurtles to a climax. The new characters overshadowed a lot of the story which meant the romance for this reader whilst good didn't completely direct the storyline. I really enjoyed this but think it's high time Blythe gets a much bigger home!

*Received and early review copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review the book will be published on March 21, 2017.

The sixth and final book in the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart series. This is Blythe's story as the oldest of the sisters of the heart. She married Victor Prakenskii five years early when he was undercover to take out her stepfather though none of the others know that. Unfortunately Victor had to disappear right afterwards and was unable to come back to her until this time. They obviously have a lot of things to work through which makes the romance side of the story a little different from the others, but he also comes with a second family of pretty much adopted brothers and sisters that she has to accept as well. The blending of the groups makes things funny, and I absolutely loved the giant collaboration that comes towards the end of the book (I can say no more without spoilers). Great combination of romance, suspense, magic, and more. This is the perfect end to the series, and I absolutely loved it. It gets 5/5 stars.

Bound Together by Christine Feehan is the 6th and final book in her Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart series. Viktor Prakenskii is the final brother that is destined to meet his mate in Sea Haven. Ilya was the one who started it all in the Drake Sisters series, and all his brothers have since followed meeting their mates in Sisters of the Heart. Blythe Daniels is the last woman to find her happiness, but 5 years ago, she married a man who disappeared after killing her evil step father, and never heard from again.

Viktor has had the same violent and harsh upbringing his brothers had, and is the most lethal, as well as their leader. Viktor has been working undercover for the evil and powerful Evan Gratsos (we remember him from the Drake Sisters). Viktor has his own motorcycle gang (Torpedo Ink) , who grew up together at the school, where they were abused sexually and emotionally, then trained to be assassins. But Viktor is a good guy, even if he is hard and dangerous; he and his team fight to save the children against the pedophiles. They do all they can to save them and get them out of the clutches of Even and his Swords Gang. Then Viktor finds out that Evan is planning to go to Sea Haven and kill Jackson and Elle. Viktor, under the guise of checking out the place for Evan, then goes back to Sea Haven, where Blythe lives to help alert Jackson and his brothers of the upcoming attack.

When Blythe sees Viktor, she is shocked, and even more so when Viktor proves to her that she is his wife. She never believed she was married; thinking since he left without a word, the marriage was a ruse. Viktor was a loose cannon, as he was determined to win back Blythe and convince her that she belongs to him. There was also an issue where he tells Blythe that he left her messages both to her and his brothers to watch over her. No one ever received these messages. Viktor brought half of his team, also undercover working for Evan’s gang. I really did like adopted family, which when all come together would be 18, which include two girls; all having survived horrific childhoods and all totally devoted and loyal to Viktor. Blythe, who is an empath, knows in a short time, despite her anger and distrust, that she still loves Viktor. It was an emotional and difficult meeting when Viktor comes face to face with his birth brothers whom he has not seen for many many years or have never seen.

At the start, when Viktor was very demanding to Blythe, even though he had not talked to her in 5 years, I was kind of not liking him too much. But that changed quickly, as their romance heated up and he was so loving to her. Viktor always told his team that Blythe would be the one who would help them see the good of life and teach them how to enjoy and trust. With all that pressure, by the time we get to the end, you can tell she was going to be there for them.

This was a wonderful story throughout the book, with many different elements within; we worried, we laughed, we became emotional or tense and even sad. We got to see Blythe and Viktor rekindle their second chance romance; we learned about the atrocious life Viktor and the young men and girls, who have become lethal, but take care of each other, as well as those who are being mistreated; the tense suspense as they prepare for the attack; the teaming of all our favorites from both Drake Sisters and Sisters of the Heart (Sea Haven) to fight the enemy, and healing that needs to be done for some of the children they bring home to Sea Haven. This was such an exciting, emotional and sexual read, and at the same time, some humor from Viktor’s men when they always managed to enter Blythe’s room at the inappropriate time. I loved Bound Together and hope that Christine will continue to show us what happens to all of the men and women of Torpedo Ink. Thank you Christine Feehan for this wonderful fantastic finale of this series.

Bound Together is the last book in Christine Feehan’s Sisters of the Heart series. It features the last Prankenskii brother Viktor and Blythe Daniels. Viktor was sent to one of the worst “schools” in Russia. In order to protect his family he withstood horrible physical, emotional and sexual abuse. At the school he became a role model to the children and they formed unbreakable bonds as they worked to free themselves and seek revenge on those responsible.
Blythe met Victor while he was uncover tracking her step-father, a pedophile. They enjoyed a brief but happy courtship and were soon married. After killing her stepfather, Viktor had to disappear, however he left detailed instructions on how to get in touch with him. Unfortunately Blythe never receives his letter and thinks she has been forsaken.
After a five year separation with no contract, they meet again while Viktor is undercover. Viktor is ready to reclaim his wife. Blythe after being deserted and spending so much time alone is not ready to fall back into Viktor’s arms especially when she realizes he returned for a job, not her, plus he expects her to accept not only him, but his adopted family.
This is one of the better books in this series. I really enjoyed the action scenes with Torpedo Ink., a MC made up of Viktor’s adopted family. The interactions between Blythe and Viktor’s Torpedo Ink brothers created some much needed levity. I hope as this series has ended, we see a new series with Torpedo Ink characters.

I knew from the very first book in this series that Blythe, the "matriarch", would have a fabulous story to tell. Boy, did she. I loved Blythe's nurturing nature from the beginning. Little did we know that that nature would come to fruition in the way it did.

Viktor was both exasperating and lovable. I loved his nurturing ways as well. The way that he held his "family" together was nothing short of a miracle. Even though he knew they were all "damaged", he and his adopted brothers and sisters made their way in a very cruel world and finally found their forever home. This was the perfect ending for this series. However, I keep hearing that Christine Feehan is writing a new series about a motorcycle club. I pray to the writing Gods that that tidbit is true. The supporting characters in this are begging to have their stories told, and I, for one, cannot wait to read about their lives. Well done, Christine Feehan! Very, very well done!

Summary

Viktor Prankenskii never planned on falling in love and even though he was on the job, undercover he fell hard for Blythe Daniels. But her step father was the man who was evil and needed to be taken down and unfortunately he had to leave before he could explain himself except for one letter that she never received. It has been five years and Viktor is coming for Blythe along with bringing the men and women whom he saved. But there is a enemy, a man who is hunting Blythe’s cousin Elle and her husband Jackson. He knows he must get there first and set a trap for the one enemy he has been hunting for years. But he also has a wife, who was abandoned for five years and he must repair things with Blythe. He knows that she is exactly what he needs and what his adopted family need, but will Blythe let him into her heart again….
The Hero

Viktor Prankenskii, is the last of the brothers. He is the oldest of them, and is the one that suffered the most. He sacrificed so they could be sent to less dangerous schools. Viktor lost his parents when he was seven years old, and was torn away from his younger brothers whom he vowed to protect. He was sent to the most horrid of schools, where only eighteen survived out of a couple hundred children. Only by forging a strong bong with the other children were they able to survive. Viktor along with the others suffered unspeakable acts and have barely regained their humanity. Killing is the only thing that they know. And even though they direct it at the evil of the world, they are not easy to be around and very dangerous. Viktor is a hero that is very rough around the edges. Blythe taught him love and affection and strength. Viktor is a hero that goes after what he wants no matter the cost. Very formidable but he has vulnerabilities that win you over very quickly.
The Heroine

Blythe never knew how hard it would be to lose Viktor years ago, to feel betrayed and not knowing why he left her with no word especially after all they shared and what was worse was what she lost later that she still keeps a secret from her adopted sisters. A moment in time she wishes she could forget because of the grief it causes her. Blythe is a kind and giving woman, she likes open spaces and the peace and quiet. She not only feels betrayed by Viktor but by her family who sided with her mother instead of her. Blythe keeps to herself, she feels a strong bond with the others, but doesn’t know if she can ever share her true past with them. Blythe was such a strong character and I loved her instantly. She has this quiet courage that is so admirable and I love the way she handled Viktor and his unique “family” of adopted brothers and sisters.
Plot and Story Line

Bound Together the final installment of the Sisters of the Heart sisters has come to a conclusion. And you know this one might be my favorite one, although its a hard tie with the others. But there was something so very different that I wasn’t expecting at all. First off, we have a story of a second chance. Our hero has had to work undercover because he is being hunted by the same people who murdered his parents. And he refuses to put Blythe in unnecessary danger. Now its been five years, and things have changed. At first Viktor has to learn a few things, including the fact that Blythe wasn’t looked after like he had planned on. And that he has an adopted family, men and women that he will protect at all costs. He knows that they need Blythe. He sees that the darkness overcomes them at time, but he also remembers his wife’s goodness and kind nature. And another aspect that I never expect from Feehan is a MC club. Vicktor and his men and two women have created a club. Then on the other spectrum, Blythe is shocked to see Viktor. But she handles it with grace and even though she fears him at times, she also has no clue how she could ever fit in his world. But with typical Feehan style she just makes this story just flow just right and their story becomes one you cheer for. I couldn’t put this book down, seeing which way it would turn out and if they would really destroy the villain in the end. I am intrigued by this MC club though. I wonder if Feehan plans on doing a series based on these men and women? I definitely won’t be disappointed if she does. The romance between Viktor and Blythe was poignant and emotional, their story isn’t for the faint of heart. There is a moment in this story where they share and are honest with each other, and this is where their story really changes.

The “secret” that Blythe has you know pretty early in the story and it sets the tone for the rest of it. It can be heartbreaking at times but what really moved me was the way that Viktor and Blythe lean on each other through their struggles and their triumphs. A Truly spectacular finish to a astounding series you don’t want to miss out on.
The Cover

You know I really like this cover. It has a majestic feel with the way it captures the ocean here.
Overall View

Bound Together continues the quality stories that I have come to expect from Christine Feehan. It is not a story for the squeamish and contains brutal abusive behavior, but some of the evil are punished and there is hope for the victims.

When a series has gone on a long time you expect there will be a few books, if not all the later books, to get old. You see the same formula again and again. It becomes flat. But this time Christine Feehan has hit a high point. Again. High point and Again just cancel each other out, right? Well... no. The latest Sea Haven novel seems fresh and new. We know the heroes are tortured and will only heal with the help of a good woman, The good woman. Still the characters have a depth. Still the action is tense and builds up to a satisfying crescendo. This isn't always the case with Feehan's books. But it is the case here.

I want to move to Sea Haven and marry a Prakenskii. That’s all there is to it.
Bound Together is the final installment in the Sisters of the Heart series. I didn’t want to love this series as much as the Drake Sisters, but I can’t help it. Christine Feehan conjured up six amazing brothers for Ilya Prakenskii and gave them all fabulous women to fall in love with, all set in the perfect small town of Sea Haven. How can I not love that?
Up until now, Viktor Prakenskii has been an unknown. The oldest of the Prakenskii brothers, he has devoted his life to keeping everyone he loves safe. To that end, he has had to live a life apart from his birth brothers in order to protect them. He has seen and done things that have scarred him forever and made him a man to be feared. He’s spent the better part of his life ridding the world of drug running, human trafficking pedophile scum. The people he surrounds himself with, men and women made into brothers and sisters because of their shared experiences, have all endured the same horrific upbringing as Viktor. He managed to save not only himself but seventeen others and gave their lives a purpose.
Five years ago Viktor met Blythe Daniels, and as with all of the Prakenskii men, he instantly knew she was the one. He swept her off her feet and married her within weeks of their first meeting….then he disappeared without a word. During the past five years, Blythe has worked hard at moving on with her life, making a place for herself and her “sisters” on their farm. She has tried to put her romance with Viktor out of her mind, even though she gave herself to him heart and soul. With no word from him for years, Blythe knew she’d been played and is certain their “marriage” isn’t even legal. When Viktor blows back into Sea Haven she is completely unprepared. She has had five years to get over the man who loved her so completely and then left her…..but she never did. Seeing him again brings all of her feelings right back up to the surface.
I adored Blythe. She was smart and genuine and so compassionate despite the tragedies in her own life. It didn’t take her long to realize that despite her hurt, Viktor is her soulmate and she wouldn’t change that even if she could. I loved the way she opened her heart, not only to him, but to the motley crew of brothers and sisters he brings with him. Viktor was….well…. a Prakenskii. He was alpha to the core, protective and bossy and sexy. He was so strong for everyone else but had a weakness for Blythe. After living with violence for decades, he needs the peace and light that Blythe gives him.
I only have two complaints with this book: I know her connection with Viktor was incredibly strong, but I felt like Blythe accepted him back a little too easily. He did leave word for her and sent hundreds of messages to her and his brothers (which none of them received), but she didn’t know that until after he reappears in her life. She went from being devastated at seeing him again to forgiving him in record time. I also feel like the climax with the villain was a little too tame. The criminal that threatens the lives of Viktor and his brothers, as well as most everyone associated with the Prakenskii brothers and the Drake sisters, was built up to be this unstoppable, powerful monster, but he was taken down so easily. If it hadn’t been for those two things, I would give this book five stars. I love Christine Feehan’s writing, I love her heroes and I look forward to what I hope will be a spin-off series with the men and women of Torpedo Ink.
I give Bound Together 4 stars.
