So....just WOW. First I want to say I really enjoyed this book and NEED the next book now!! With that said I have to admit it didn't start that way. I was sooooo confused. Really at times I still am. All these characters, and there are a bunch of them, are all crazy. That crazy is what kept me going though. Reading this is like reading a night time soap opera. The main characters are Dante and Chelsea and the history between them.
The story ends in a cliffhanger that will have you yelling! Don't let that stop you from reading. It's steamy hot, full of drama, and different from anything I've read in a long time.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by Random House Publishing Group – Loveswept on Netgalley. I have a confession to make. When I went browsing on netgalley I picked this book because the cover and the disruption was so well done I COULD NOT RESIST! Lisa Marie Perry you are a goddess. This is truly sinful! This is gripping energetic and awesome. It reads like a soap opera that you can not look away from. Chelsea is a broken beautiful woman who you can’t help but love for her spunky smart ass personality! Dante and Chelsea have a very complicated history but as the chapters progress you see that they have the best love hate relationship.the issues they share are brought on by lies some brought on by self infliction. They don't trust each other but you can tell just how much each affect the other. How much they love each other even if they want to deny themselves. Dante is a creative soul and the sex between them OMG explosive. Ladies and Gents this is 5 sinful stars Bonnie and Clyde Ride Or Die.
OMG!! Where do I start. I don't know where to begin. This book is just wow. I was hooked . This novel keeps you on your toes , always wondering what's around the corner or what will happen next. Kick starting the fire you feel inside from reading those in depth scenes of the erotic nature. It's keep you on the edge of excitement , wanting more so much more.
Whenever I had an opportunity I was on my kindle app reading this book.. I mean it had me completely entranced. I was sure people would be able to see "Do not Disturb' on my head lol although really it wasn't there.
When it had finished I was just like , damn. I could of kept reading it and following the characters forever and hopefully if fate will have it , I will have the opportunity to read and review the next instalment of this book.. hopefully if there's another one in the works. This author knows how to engage with audiences well with her storyline and her in depth descriptive writing. Just the upfront straight forward language used had me on the edge of my seat. In all honesty , I myself talk like that sometimes.
I definitely would recommend this novel to my friends who enjoy this genre of novels and subject matter. Thank you for allowing me to read this thrilling captivating and exciting novel.
Sin for me was suspenseful, steamy, and completely addictive! It's an intense story that I couldn't put down! I read it a few days ago, and it's still on my mind. If you're looking for an all-consuming read- this is one you need to pick up ASAP!
I don’t even know where to begin with this book….it is that good.
I know that the blurb compares this book to Empire (which I haven’t watched yet) but I think that it would be more fitting to compare it to maybe The Bold and The Beautiful. Or Days of Our Lives. Because it read just like a soap opera. And I LOVED it.
I am going to probably be hated for saying this but I actually like Delilah Bishop. She was brutally honest and would do anything to save Devil’s Music because it was in her blood. Also, I don’t blame her for flipping out when she found out that Emma, Joshua and Chelsea has conspired to take Devil’s Music from her. I would have too. But she did go a tad nuts when she found out. I mean, setting the boardroom on fire and bringing a gun to Emma and Joshua’s 1st anniversary celebration….kinda nuts.
The one person I couldn’t stand was Joshua. Talk about a manwhore with secrets. He bangs Delilah, bareback, and then he allows her to give him a handjob when they were begging her to help them to keep Devil’s Music from going under. He has no shame in allowing Chelsea see him get a handjob from Delilah and a blow job from Emma. Plus, he had sex with Lex, bareback. Which made me question if he had a death wish and wonder if he hadn’t heard of STD’s…..lol. Besides the sex stuff, he just came across as a jerk. Saying that, though, he did have a soft spot for Chelsea and, like Emma, was very concerned about her mental well-being.
Emma ranked right above Joshua. Something just didn’t seem right with her. What sane woman would be alright with her husband thinking and making decisions (or so it seemed to me) with his dick? Unless she had an ulterior motive going on. But, that aside, she seemed to be a very good friend to Chelsea and was very concerned about her mental well-being.
Chelsea was a hot mess. She was in love with Dante Bishop, Delilah’s brother, and he broke up with her….while having sex. In her words, he broke her. So, she now uses sex as a way to release tension…instead of self harming…which she used to do. She used to heat up hair pins and stick them in herself. If she can’t get sex, she snaps a rubber band to keep those impulses away. Which she is doing more and more in the last 3 years.
A lawsuit filed by one of their current artist, for 95 million dollars to release her from her contract so she can defect to another label, is causing Devil’s Music to start to go under. Emma, Joshua and Chelsea have come to the conclusion that they need to call Delilah Bishop in to save Devil’s Music.
Which she agrees to do but for a price. As part of her stipulation, Delilah gives them the name of a woman in Louisiana who could potentially be their next big star. She also tells them that her brother, Dante, needs to be brought on as a songwriter and she wants her share in the company back. Which they agree too. Chelsea gets to handle Dante.
The sex between Dante and Chelsea was fantastic. They started off like the seven years hadn’t happen. Of course, Chelsea kinda urged things on with being in the back of Dante’s limo with only her bra and shoes on. And the sex just got better from that day forward.
I also like that while they were falling back in love with each other, nothing was said until almost the end of the book.
The plot of the book was great. You never knew what was going to happen next and that definitely worked. People were not as they seemed and the author did a fantastic job at keeping you guessing at certain events.
The end of the book blew my mind. Not only because NOTHING was resolved but because new intrigue was added. The cliffhanger at the end of the book made me want to scream. This is one case where I say that the dreaded cliffhanger did work….because I don’t think I can wait until October to get the next book.
How many stars will I give Sin for Me: 5
Why: Good Lord, I don’t know where to begin. Lets just say that the sex is hot but the plot line and the intrigue was even hotter.
Will I reread: Yes
Will I recommend to family and friends: Yes
Age range: Adult
Why: Explicit sex, language and violence

This first book in The Devil's Music series by Lisa Marie Perry is a dark portrayal of the life and involvement of those characters who are part of a hip-hop music label called Devil's Music.
Much like the TV series 'Empire', something is always happening and there are stories behind stories. Power grabbing, lust, sex, love, guilt, and revenge echo in the very building and estate housing the music label base office.
The Bishop family has made the Devil's Music a formidable label.
When Dante Bishop finds his father dead, he decided he wanted out. Leaving his share of the music label to his sister Delilah, he leaves town turning his back on his music that was part of his very being as well as breaking up with his girlfriend in the worst possible way.
Delilah Bishop had made the Devil's Music label her very reason to live. She finds herself ousted by the board and her three best friends who she had made part of the label, one of whom was her brother's ex. Now she finds she has the chance to save the label and get back a share of it and maybe get revenge on her friends.
Chelsea, Dante's ex-girl friend, finds out the cost of saving the music label is to be available to Dante as part of his deal to come back and write music for a new singer. How could she cope when he was the one to introduce her to carnal delights. While he wastes no time in showing her the past may not be forgotten and the lessons she learned definitely were not.
Both Dante and Chelsea have their reasons to work together that could bring them forgiveness for past and current decisions.
Several loose ends are left open that are hopefully answered in the next book. If it's anything like this first book, 'ooh la la'.
What in the ever loving?? Look. Do yourself a favor and IGNORE THIS COVER. It does NOT do this book justice. If you like intrigue, suspense, sex and a story that reads like a script, then GET THIS BOOK! I’ve never read this author before and that my friends, is a travesty! My friend Geri, The Racy Lit Reader, told me to read this. She forced me. She told me I needed to and that it was an addictive read. When someone is that passionate about a book, take heed.
I am going to keep this brief because I do not want to spoil one second of this book for anyone who wants to read it.
As the blurb suggests, this is the first book in a series of “stylish, addictive novels of passion, drama, and seduction. The high-powered men and women behind Devil’s Music have made their fortunes building the hottest label in hip-hop, but it’s the action behind the scenes that’s seriously steamy.”
Are you intrigued? You should be. There is a cast of characters all of whom have an integral part in this series. You learn to love and hate each of them, even love to hate them. From the hot, sexy, protective Dante’ to the fiery, spirited Alexis, you will be drawn to them. You will want their stories. AND OH MY WORD, you will want no, need the next book immediately.
This is my new crack. My newest addiction. I am craving my next fix … Burn with Me (The Devil’s Music, #2) by Lisa Marie Perry
Loved it. Fast and addictive read. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
