I didn't read the first book in this comic series, but i was still pretty easily able to follow what happened in this one.. The illustrations were good and well thought out. The story line was a good read. It was a bit gory at parts, but its a war novel/story, that's to be expected. I just wouldn't say this is for kids. Overall I would recommend this book and gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
