Squeeze!!!! Stripped Bare is like Pretty Woman all over again for me, except with a twist (and I really loved Pretty Woman).

Macey is a single mother to her 10 year-old daughter. She grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, pregnant at the age of 17 with no one to lean on. For the past 10 years, she tried her best to make ends meet waitressing during the day and stripping at night. She is desperate to give her daughter a better life but it’s hard in the small town. Macey took a chance heading to Vegas for a week working in a club, hoping she can make big enough money to get out of the hell hole back home. She makes the money but after one bad mistake and she loses it all. Down and out, Macey runs into her childhood crush turned hot billionaire hotel owner Finn. He makes a proposition that is difficult to turn down – another week in Vegas with him in exchange for enough cash so she could set herself up with a better apartment at home. Macey and Finn’s chemistry and attraction for each other is undeniable. They have no problem burning up the sheets. The problem is Macey’s feelings for her old friend have not changed – she wants more but unfortunately Finn is not a one lady kind of guy. The line of ladies waiting for an engagement ring is quite long and he is not the least interested. What will happen though when Finn finds out the truth about Macey and her past?

I love Finn – he is acting like a cocky bastard half the time but he has a big heart. I know this in the way he treats his employees, family, and his friends. Macey is a good mother – I can understand her profession because as a mother I would not hesitate to accept any job in order to take care of my kids. No judge here!!! I feel saddened for Macey’s situation and she deserves to be happy, cared for, and loved.

This was such a heartwarming, sweet and beautiful love story. Quick read. Low drama, high on sexiness, swoony, and awesome banters. I know this is a Billionaire series but I am hoping for a story on Lamar. He seems gentle, kind, loyal - I'm kind of intrigued by him.

4.5 sexy stars!

5 You Really Can Find Your Forever in Vegas Stars!!!

What happens when the guy who broke your heart in high school is the same guy that can rescue from a situation that you never thought you'd find yourself in? Well that's what we find out in this newest book from Heidi McLaughlin and I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!!

Macey and Finn are apparently in the right place at the right time...although it doesn't appear that way as Macey is trying to figure out how to get herself out a somewhat precarious situation after sitting at a blackjack table that she thought would be the answer to all her prayers...well that and stripping to make those big tips to help support her and her daughter. Finn on the other hand is what I think we'd all call a player to the maximum...that is until he spots Macey and makes her a deal she can't refuse.

This where we get to the heart of the story. There's something pulling these together immediately; call it chemistry, fate or raging hormones. Whatever it is, makes for a week that changes both their lives. Finn is all alpha male and I kind of liked it. I loved how he wanted to help Macey even if it started for all the wrong reasons. Macey on the other hand, the feelings she had for Finn when they were younger quite never left so getting this time with him, it's her second chance.

When these two are together it's like a lightning storm unlike I've seen before. Heidi McLaughlin knows how to deliver the heat and it's scorching in this book! The story is very well developed and the pace is perfection given they're in Sin City. This week could be the catalyst for changing our H/h's hearts for all eternity. However, there's some outside detractors that could prove to be more than our couple can handle. Do they make the decision to tough it out and try for their forever or do they not want to work for what could be their unexpected HEA? The only way you'll know is to pick up this first book in this new series. I'm so excited for this new series and know I'll be coming to read this one again and again.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Maybe not when it involves something that happened 10 years ago. Macey is a single mom who has been raising her daughter by herself and struggling and failing for so long she is desperate and so goes to Vegas for a week to earn some fast money stripping. On her last day the lure of the blackjack table gets to her and she loses her money (at which point I started calling her names) and Finn steps in and tries to save the day. Finn is the owner of the casino and also from her hometown and a blast from the past. Macey runs from him but he tracks her down and propositions her with enough money for a week that will change her life. What he doesn't know is she is leaving someone behind. A week, a lot of chemistry, a lot of sex, a lot of fun, a lot of dirty talking, and a lot of angst and lust. Macey and Finn didn't know what hit them when they came together and tried to keep it just a transaction. No kissing allowed...

I recommend this one and look forward to more!

I loved Macey and Finn's story. Fans of Pretty Woman will fall for McLaughlin's story. Her characters are well thought out with a creative storyline. I could have done without the unique naming of a certain something. I was very pleased with the ending as well.

An enjoyable book along the lines of Pretty Woman but Macy is not a prostitute, she is a single Mum living with her drunk of a Mother in a dubious neighbourhood. She is working two jobs, one as a stripper, to provide all she can for her daughter Morgan.

Finn is the multimillionaire owner of a couple of Clubs and when Macy loses her money at one of the tables he hones in on her and instantly recognises her, later offering her a chance to go home with more money than she loses in his Club.

Little does Finn know the secrets Macy has and when he finally finds them out, can he remain the single Playboy he has lived for the past ten years?

I did like this book, it was easy to get into and follow and had a HEA.

Thanks to Netgalley for the complimentary copy to read and review.

What a great 5 star story this was. A sweet, sexy read that made me swoon, smile and managed to make me shed a few tears along the way.

Macey has always worked hard and being from the wrong side of the tracks has been harder for her. She does what it takes to provide food and shelter for the love of her life. She needs money in order to get away and start new. She goes to Vegas for a week to work. Now she's down on her luck and gets an offer she can't refuse from a man from her past, Finn, a millionaire. He won't take no, he's used to get what he wants. Sparks will fly. This is a second chance romance.

I really enjoyed this story. I was hooked from the first word read to the last one. If a story makes me shed just one tear than it deserves more than 5 stars. There was some heartbreaking moments but also some happy ones. Macey is not a gold digger, she has some pride. Finn has some heart. The chemistry between these two was hot. They shared quite a few scorching hot steamy scenes. I loved the storyline that flowed well. These characters were well developed. Bottom line is that I wouldn't change anything about this amazing story.

Standalone told in a dual POV with a great HEA. I strongly recommend this story. All of this author's books written so far are all well worth the readers precious time and money.

Wow, this book had everything I look for in a great romance. Finn is a cocky ,sexy casino owner in Vegas Macey is the single mother that is there stripping to earn money to pull her and her daughter out of the ghetto.

The couple had not seen each other since a terrible date back in high school. They run into each other again when Macey loses big at Finn's casino and he makes a deal with her to become his everything for one week to earn the money she lose at the tables. Macey is a strong women and does what she has to provide for her daughter. Your heart will break for Macey & Morgan her daughter, the way that have to live and the things they have survived.

Would their hot chemistry help Macey get past Finn's commitment issues?

There are lots of surprises in the story line that will keep you tuning the pages.

I have loved all of Heidi Mclaughlin books and this one is no exception!
It grabbed me right away with the first chapter. Then the second chapter Finn was introduced and I was HOOKED!!!
It seemed a somewhat what typical poor girl from hometown runs into high school crush who got out and struck in rich story. But there was SO MUCH MORE. For starters they were HOT like seriously could not keep their hands off each other.
A one week "indecent proposal" led to more. She needed money, he wanted her on his arm and in his bed. She wanted a better life and he had the money to change it. One week and she goes home! That was their plan, but what's that saying about Best laid plans....
The story that unfolded was fantastic. I couldn't put it down. This just might be my favorite by Heidi!!!

Macey Webster is a single mom, raising her daughter with the occasional help from her best friend and alcoholic mother. She waits tables during the day and strips at night. She wants a better life, but without an education, she is struggling. Most of the time they barely have enough to eat. Leaving her daughter with her best friend, she heads to Vegas for a week, hoping to make enough to move out of her mom’s trailer and make a new start.

Finn McCormick owns 2 casinos and is working on a third. He is king of his world and enjoying every minute. He has no desire for love or marriage and is working his way through the female population of Vegas. He is an arrogant, self absorbed, self-impressed jerk.

Macey makes a large sum of money in Vegas. Enough to start over. However, the lure of easy money at the casinos draws her in. Needless to say, she loses it all. Finn sees her from his office high above the casino floor, recognizes her, and interest piqued, he goes to find her. She flees, he chases and when he finds her, makes her a proposition that crosses her normal boundaries but feels she can’t refuse.

SPOILER ALERT
The next week goes by in a whirlwind. She leaves for home a day early because, of course, she’s fallen in love and knows he’ll never feel the same. Finn has been a jerk for most of the week, yet, he’s not ready for her to leave. He can’t give her what she wants, but he’s not letting go quite yet. He follows her back to their hometown, because of course, his head of security has placed a locating device on the phone he gave her. Imagine his surprise when he literally, intentionally, runs into her and her daughter at the local mall and sees his mother’s face looking back at him. All of a sudden, Mr. Footloose and Fancy Free wants a family. He’s introducing them to his dad, flying them back and forth to Vegas for visits.

Finn and Macey have very few real conversations. They aren’t friends. It’s mostly him convincing her to hit the sheets with him and her putting up very minimal resistance. If a fight started, where there was actual potential for real conversation, he would shut her up by getting her into bed. I wanted to see Macey make Finn work harder to win her over. She caved way too easily. One minute she has a bit of sass and backbone, the next she’s a total wuss, giving in to whatever Finn wants.

I wanted a longer epilogue. We’re left wondering about Finn’s evil stepmother. What happened between Brandy and her dad, and Brandy’s dad and Finn? I wanted to see how Macey and Morgan were presented to everyone in Vegas. Did Macey return to school? I can only hope since this is the beginning of a series, we get answers in the next book. Excessive mentions of who was eye fucking who and the problems it was causing.

Since there was no lead in to the next book, I’m guessing that since Seth and Brady are Finn’s best friends, they’ll be the next two books. And if Finn and Brady are so close, why did he feel it was ok to move in on Macey while she and Finn were still together, even if he knew Finn’s style of hit it and quit it?

Lamar was the only character I truly liked. He seemed liked a decent guy.

Many similarities to Pretty Woman. He pays her 30K for a week to be at his beck and call. He takes her to buy a new wardrobe that she has to model for him as she’s trying them on. She gets to keep the clothes. He doesn’t kiss on the mouth.

Having said all this, it sucked me in like a train wreck or car accident you can’t peel your eyes away from. So for that, it gets 3 stars. If you want a really good billionaire trope series, read Ivy Layne.

Macey is a single mom of a ten year old girl, Morgan, who is living paycheck to paycheck trying to get out of the hell hole she and her daughter live it. Working two jobs, one at a diner and one at a strip club, she is doing whatever she can to make her situation better. When Macey learns of an opportunity to double her income working in Las Vegas, she leaves her daughter with her friends and heads out to make a better life for her child.
Finn McCormick is the owner of Allure, a casino/hotel in Vegas. He does not believe in relationships let alone marriage and fills his bed with woman who believe the same. Finn comes across Macey in his casino, trying to double her earnings from stripping. Luck is not on Macey’s side and she loses everything she has worked so very hard for. Finn recognizes Macey from his past and propositions her to be his for one week…for $30,000. A week of parading her around while at meeting with potential investors, a week of no strings attached sex, sounds good, right?
I feel the author did an amazing job of telling Macey’s story. I felt her struggle, I felt her sadness for what she could not provide for her daughter. All the emotions were there. When it came to Finn, he just felt so cold to me. I just couldn’t find anything to connect with him on. His past was screwed up but it wasn’t told in depth which I felt would have explained so much more about him. There is a plot twist…one I saw coming a mile away. Once that happened, there seemed to be such a drastic change in everything. The one other issue I had was that NO ONE realized this woman was a stripper. NO ONE. Not a single one of Finn’s friends or even his potential investors. How is that even possible??
I just didn’t feel any certain way about this book. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t horrible. It reminded me way too much of the movie Pretty Woman.

Unfortunately the book was not for me, no review was publicly posted on Amazon, B&N, Goodreads or Twitter etc, so no ratings were affected in relation to it.

I'm a fan of this author's other series, so I was excited to read this book, despite the fact that the billionaire trope is not my favorite usually. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. Yes, it has the Cinderella story and the HEA, but getting there was a lot of fun. My only complaint is the ending. I wanted to know more about Brandy and her dad, and the sudden oh look how rich I am felt forced and weird. Overall a good read.

**4 Stars**

I love everything Heidi McLaughlin writes. I can't help it, the words she gives us are some of my favorite. What I really enjoyed about Stripped Bare was the little things that reminded me of the movie Pretty Woman, I love that movie and being able to read a book with similarities was fun.
Macey is a single mom of 10 years who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. She hasn't had it easy, but she is gorgeous which allows her to make money being a stripper. When an opportunity presents itself for her to go to Vegas for a little more money, she jumps at the chance of bettering herself and her daughter. The money is good and the tips are even bigger in Vegas, until she blows it all in Blackjack the night she is supposed to go back home to her daughter. Insert Finn, a man she never thought she'd see again, but the one man who has offered to pay her an amount of money she can't refuse for cuddling up to him for a week.
Finn hasn't seen Macey since he left for college, so seeing her in Vegas a stripper and playing blackjack at his hotel catches him off guard. Seeing what losing the money did to her, he offers her a deal she can't pass up or so he thinks. Macey has a secret he doesn't know about, but will the secret destroy what they have in the end or will it bring them closer together?
I loved Finn and Macey's story. I couldn't get enough of it and I was sad to see it end. I hope we get more from Heidi in this series and the chance to maybe see more of Finn and Macey.

I really enjoyed this book. Much more than I thought I would. I was honestly expecting Finn to be a complete man whore throughout the book but was pleasantly surprised we didn't have to encounter him with any other women, just Macey.

Macey has had a hard life. She grew up on the wrong side of the tracks but always dreamed of more. She had a huge teenage crush on Finn. She would see him at parties they would both attend but never thought he would see her. Then one night he did and her world was changed forever. But that was all they had...one night. Until their paths cross 10 years later in Vegas. She has been stripping and working at a diner to pay the bills and support her 10 year old daughter. She doesn't love this life but accepts that this is the hand of cards she was dealt.

One of her fellow strippers suggests going to Vegas because the money is so much better. So she does. It was suppose to have been for a week. Until she bets all her earnings on blackjack but doesn't come up with the winning hand. At the casino, she runs into Finn, who happens to own said casino. He is immediately drawn to her but can't figure out why.

Finn had made his mind up a long time ago that relationships just weren't for him. He doesn't need nor want the commitment it brings. He likes playing the strip and having any girl he desires. Until he sees Macey again and for some reason he wants her, for more than one night. He propositions her after he sees her lose all her money. One week with him, in all aspects he desires, and he will triple the money she lost. She can't pass this up but it does make her feel cheap.

During their week together their worlds change. What they thought they knew changes and what they thought they wanted changes. Finn was fighting so hard to not want a relationship with Macey. He pretty much fought this until the end. This book had a "Pretty Woman" vibe to it...just a bit naughtier.

I'm not sure where to start with this review. It was SOOOOOO good and made me feel the feels, like whoa! It's one of those books that sticks with you. I really enjoyed these characters and quickly fell in love with them. Macey's life hasn't been easy and she's trying to do better for her daughter. She runs into more bad luck when she runs back into Finn. When she sees him again, she knows she needs to accept his deal. But it's just that, a deal.
Finn liked her back in high school, but then they went their separate ways. He has a sixth sense about Macey and doesn't want to let her go when he sees her again. He's drawn to her and slowly but surely, his defenses start slipping around her. He's just trying to help a friend and figures he may as well get something out of it too.
I enjoyed how Heidi gave us their history bit by bit and not all at once. I liked getting to know them and watch them interact. Their journey was hot (like, FIYAH!), sweet, sassy and so delicious. I was completely immersed in their world and I didn't want to leave. Heidi's words did a great job of capturing this reader. I loved Finn and enjoyed watching him protect Macey and war with himself as to his true feelings.

This book was exactly the same as Pretty woman with none of the charm. The hero was an asshole. Usually assholes are redeemed by he just kept getting worse especially when he became a stalker.

This story was definitely Pretty Woman meets Vegas, but with a twist. I will say that I enjoyed most of the story, some places were predictable, but there were definitely some jaw dropping moments. You could definitely feel the pain of a single mom trying to make ends meet, while trying to give her daughter a good life. Macey's mom was horrible, my heart dropped when reading Morgan had to lock herself in her room because of her grandmothers visitors. Finn was an arrogant jerk, was a bit irritating that it takes him so long to develop a relationship with Macey, but given he is the owner of the casino, and a billionaire, you get the attitude. Loved the ending, Finn's relationship with his father was a bit awkward, I mean who walks into a house where he grew up after not being there for years, at least you knock on the door. I just found that to be a bit strange. Overall a pretty decent book, this is my first book from this author and I would consider reading more of her work.

Ever since the 80s when Richard Gere took Julia Roberts in and made her feel like a Pretty Woman, it became every woman's fantasy.

That's what this book is. It's a lot like that movie in the basic story line but that's where the similarities end. There is depth in the characters that goes past just chemistry as they learn that where love fits in their life and even if they can make it work.

Finn and Macey have history and Finn gets to do what a lot of would like to do, turn the tables on someone from our past. Macey turned him down in the past and now she is in the palm of his hand and he gets to make the rules.I love seeing the softer sides of Finn after of course his alpha male makes an appearance.

There were times that Macey is faced with the tough decision between morals and surviving. She proves that a mother's love holds no bars to these kinds of decisions and ultimately gets the ultimate prize by the end.

It does have a HEA and no cliffhangers. It is a new series so it will likely have a different couple in each book.

A new series from Heidi McLaughlin and if this book is anything to go by its shaping up to be a fantastic series.
Finn McCormick lives in Sin City , owns a Casino and has had his fair share of one night stands but he never expected to see Macey Webster a high school fling losing big money on his Casino floor.
Macey is a single mum and is in Vegas for one reason to earn money so when she blows her earnings on the blackjack table she couldn't believe her luck when Finn offers to pay off her debts if she spends time with him between the sheets and be seen around town with him. Her high school crush is still hot as hell so what has she got to lose by doing what he asks, except him finding out the secret not even her best friend knows....
This is a real Cinderella mixed with Pretty Woman type story and I was hooked from the first page. There are some real hot and sweaty moments mixed with some twists and turns and in the end a beautifully written love story that will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Looking forward to the next instalment of Vegas Billionaires.
