Macey Webster is down on her luck and working as a waitress and stripper to provide for her 10 year old daughter Morgan. Finn McCormick owns two casino hotels and is living the carefree bachelor life in Vegas. Macey and Finn grew up in the same town but in very different circumstances. After Macey loses all her money playing blackjack Finn comes through with a Pretty Woman proposal, be his "beck and call" girl for a week and make $30k. He also tells her he doesn't kiss on the mouth. Despite the obvious references to the movie, I was sucked into the story and wanted them to both put aside their issues and distrust and be together for their own HEA.

Strip bare is interesting love story kind of reminds me of pretty woman from the start but it has a couple of twist that are interesting. Both characters are well develop and interesting. Finn is a little bit more arrogant from the start but that change toward the end. Heidi is struggling trough life and when Finn makes her a deal is the one that she can’t refuse. She is strong fighting to survive and I like that she decides to go to educate herself. Good story.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
A Pretty Woman type novel with all the ingredients for a spicy romance. Whilst this is not great literature, what it is, is a fun, steamy read with a rich, sexy hero and a pretty single mother, who is down on her luck.
A very enjoyable, quick read.

This story line made me think of the movie Pretty Woman but then I kept reading and loved how the characters developed and the story line changed up. Morgan is just the sweetest little girl in this book. The whole book she is just sweet and tries to make the best out of everything. Oh my goodness what a pain in the ass Brandy is in this book, Macey and Finn are so good together, I like that she seems to balance him despite the situation. I wish she would have said something to him about her having a daughter but the way he found out all the info was pretty neat too. Overall. Great characters and character development, excellent writing it draws you in and keeps you entertained throughout.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Random House, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is your modern day pretty woman/cinderella story should one have them had a one night stand and had a child to look after from the age of eighteen.

Macey is a very hard working woman, down on her luck and resorting to working in a strip club to earn extra cash at night.

Finding herself in need of more cash she takes a colleagues advice and goes to work in Vegas for a week to earn the big bucks to help her get out of her mothers house.

Finn may be a multi millionaire, but with the right people he has a heart of gold, but can be ruthless when he needs to be. As most alpha males he is on the cocky side and always get what he wants.

The story pulls at your heart strings at times and really cannot help but want Macey to get the HEA that she deserves as she proves how far she will go to protect her daughter and give her a better life. That Macey is a a strong woman with courage and determination.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

4.5 Stars!

What happens when you combine the fairy-tale Cinderella, the film Pretty Woman, and hot sex? Stripped Bare, a well-written book by new to me author Heidi McLaughlin. The author blew me away with her well-defined characters, engaging plot, and raw, emotional situations. This is the first book from Ms. McLaughlin's brand new series, Vegas Billionaire, and it does not end with a cliffhanger.

Macey Webster was born into poverty, however, she got good grades and worked very hard in order to get out of the slums. When she found out she was pregnant, her entire future changed, and her only concern was the ability to take care of her daughter. She barely makes ends meet as a stripper and a waitress, but she keeps her head held high as she continues to seek out new opportunities. Macey decides to work for a week in Vegas, where she can double or even triple her earnings, so that she and her daughter can move to a safer apartment, away from her alcoholic mother. She runs into Finn McCormick, an old acquaintance and high school dalliance from home, after losing a ton of money in his casino. Finn feels bad for Macey, and offers to pay her a tidy sum of cash, in exchange for being at his beck and call for a week. Macey's many reservations about his offer do not offset the need to support her daughter. A week together completely turns their respective lives around, as they share their bodies and some of their past.

Macey and Finn have amazing chemistry, which evolves their sexy times into so much more. Finn likes to be in control in the bedroom and he does so with dominance and desire. Their sexual connection is so special, they are able to work through the bad in order to get to the good.

I really enjoyed this story. Ms. McLaughlin writes with a very clear voice and she balances the happenings with the greatest of ease. If you enjoy a novel with a strong heroine and a hero that just won't give up, then check out this touching read. Overall, this is an exciting book that twists and turns in all the right places.

'Stripped Bare' is the first book in Heidi McLaughlin's new series called Vegas Billionaire. This novel is sizzling hot.
Macey Webster, self taught pole dancer, part time waitress, and single mother has been trying to make ends meet since after high school to provide for her little girl and herself. Now bone tired and wanting to get her daughter out of the same bad environment she has grownup in, she decides to take a chance to make some big money in a week in Vegas.
A week in Vegas has been hard on Macey. She knows she needs to make the most of it. So on her last day before going home she takes another chance on doubling her money at a card table in a casino on the way to work.
Finn McCormick left his hometown after high school. Making his mark in Vegas as a hotel and casino owner, he is at the top of his world. Handsome as sin, he can have any woman he wants without making any commitments.
When fate brings Macey to Finn's casino, where she loses big time, he recognizes her from a party when he was in high school, where he had hooked up with her just before leaving his hometown. Taking the opportunity to get what he wants, and he wants her bad, he offers her a deal to makeup the lost money if she spends a week with him.
The chemistry between Finn and Macey in and out of the sheets is enough to burn everything around them. But will it be enough to keep them together after the time is up?

Macey is just trying to survive for her and her daughter, working two jobs just isn't cutting it she has to get a place of her own for her daughters safety, so when a chance to make triple what she normally makes but it requires a week trip to sin city.

Finn is no stranger to one night stands and the life of living in Sin city but he never thought he would run into an old one night fling . When Finn and Macey run into each other Macey has lost all she went to Las Vegas for so Finn has a proposition for her that could take away all her problems or make them worse . can Finn and Macey keep their transaction business or will feeling gs get involved plus once Finn did covers Macey's secret will they ever stand a chance.

I really liked the story line. It was interesting and made me want to know what happened next but... it felt rushed. The first half of the story felt rushed and a bit like pieces where missing. I needed to know more about the characters..

I loved Stripped Bare. I really admired and felt for Macy. She was a strong woman and mother who was in a bad situation. I admired that she did everything she could to make a better life for her daughter. While she's in Vegas making a little money, she runs in to an old crush. He looks hotter than she remembers and when he offers to pay her for her time, its an offer she can't refuse. I really enjoyed watching (reading) their story play out. I wasn't sure what to think of Finn initially, but I eventually fell in love with him. I enjoyed Macy and Finn's story and wouldn't mind reading more about them in the future.

Stripped Bare is the first book in Heidi McLaughlin’s new Vegas Billionaire series. Finn McCormick and Macey Webster come from opposites sides of the track. Macey as struggled her entire life to claw her way out of poverty, while Finn has always wanted for nothing. They dated once in high school and then Finn went off to college and they never saw each other again.

Macey is a woman trying to raise her child and escape her alcoholic mother. She works two jobs trying to make a better life for Morgan. In desperation and on a recommendation that she can make a lot of money in Vegas in a week's time, she leaves her daughter with her best friend knowing she will be well taken care of and goes to Vegas with hopes of changing their lives.

On the last day there, with no hope left, she bumps into Finn, a memory from her past who makes her a proposition that can change her and Morgan's life. Does she take one last chance to secure her daughter's future?

This story begins with similarities to Pretty Woman, but turns into something altogether so much better. The chemistry between Finn and Macey is scorching. I could not put this book down. Heidi McLaughlin does an amazing job telling their story. If you like romance stories with a little angst and a lot of sexiness, this is the book for you.

I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for book two in this series.

I loved Finn and Macey in this book! You couldn't help but feel for Macey who was doing whatever she could to provide for her daughter. When she gets a chance to go to Vegas to make more money than she can make at home, she takes it. Little does she know she'll end up losing everything she has earned at Finn's hotel. See Finn and Macey knew each other in high school. Finn comes to her rescue and offers her another deal. Again one that she can't refuse. But if he ever discovers her secret, everything she has been working for will be gone.

While this book was very well written, it just didn't hit me. I gave it three stars mainly for the writing. It flowed well and was easy to get into. I just personally felt like I couldn't connect with either of the characters.

Macey, a single mother to a ten year old has the capability of any other to continue her motherhood steps and keep a positive future for her daughter. Even with the type of job she may have that would question her status and relationship she has with others. I find her attitude towards her stripping career as such a comedic aspect about her because she does not care about people judging her. At the end of the day she is doing it all for her daughter, Morgan. You can tell how poor she is when it comes down to her financial status, but also poor in the aspect of not knowing how to be a mother for her child. She feels that she has a certain level of responsibility she needs to be to achieve that status of a good mother, when in reality, her TRYING is simply the best way to be a mother. She is sacrificing the person she is to be the best for her daughter and give her what she could not have when SHE was a child.

Something that is rather refreshing to read it the way Heidi transitions her characters. When you finish the chapter with Macey’s perspective, you can feel her sadness. When it comes down to the transition of Finn’s perspective side of the story, you can feel and sense the difference in character and arrogance. He is powerful and rich, making him the cliche definition of a womanizer billionaire. Also definitely the definition of a cocky son of a bitch…

When Finn sees Macey for the second time, after their past’s history of knowing each other after that one night stand after high school, he explains everything that he needs from her. He finds her attractive in a way that he cannot describe how honest she may be to him, even when he does not deserve it. To him though, the aspect of being emotionally attached to a woman is something that does not appeal to him.

Even though Finn is giving her the money she needs, she is gaining something out of all of this when it comes down to the end of her fantasy. She is taking this opportunity with Finn and turning it into something that guarantees her happiness, even if it’s for a short amount of time.

At the end of the day, this story leads to a plot twist that I saw coming from afar. Stories like this one are very common and cliche in every aspect, but there is definitely something different about this one. Though grammatical mistakes are found every so often, making it quite a bit difficult for me to catch on with eh story, it was still straightforward with its story plot.

How far would you go for the love of your child. This book brought me to tears several times but I can honestly say this is nothing new. Heidi has the amazing ability to make you laugh and cry in the same chapter. Her writing style has a uniqueness that many lack and her books must be read in one sitting. This book is a story of love with a twist that makes it even more addicting. The characters are easy to connect with and have a genuine feel to them. The plot is original in it's own way and I can see a few books stemming from this one which makes me want to read more. The secrets and lies have you second guessing I wasn't sure how it would end which makes me enjoy her books even more. I suggest you pick up a copy of this amazing book you won't be disappointed.
