A good straight forward book about helping your teen or even maybe you deal with stress and anxiety. The advice has changed and the goal of therapy is to help you deal with and move through the stress. It might not be easy, but moving through the fear and realizing that worry and fear are not usually related to the actual potential outcome can be life changing. It is easier said than done, but, may as well get started.
This book has numerous ideas that I am able to use both with my daughter but also in my line of work. Working in a high school, I encounter a variety of students and quite a few have anxious tendencies. I have been incorporating several of the things covered in this book.
This book was a very good read, and has taught me some things to help my 11 year old out with her anxiety. She is ADHD on top of this so it was nice to get some ideas on how to get her to relax. I bought this book for a friend of mine with a child with ODD and has major panic attacks and she too has found this book to be a god send.
