Thank you #NetGalley for the arc of 'Argyle Fox'.

The cover and title immediately drew me in, I had to read this book and it did not disappoint!

Argyle the fox wants to play in the wind but everything he chooses gets blown away. Rather than get bored, he just keeps trying new things until he discovers the perfect way to enjoy a windy day. Beautiful, modern-pastoral artwork with a wide variety of settings, characters, movement, and details. Overall a funny, charming story that promotes creativity, perseverance, and friendship. Recommend!

Argyle Fix wants to go out to play. But the wind keeps getting in the way of the things he wants to play!

A little persistence, and a little push from Mama Fox, helps Argyle figure out the best way to play in the wind.

This is a cute little story. My little one liked that things kept getting blown away in the wind, and thought it was funny.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book. I thank the author and publisher for this opportunity.

As someone who lives somewhere it is very windy, I could definetly relate to Argyle Fox. A cute story with great illustrations. We watch Argyle Fox learn that he can't play some of his favorite activities outside when it is so windy.

A great story to open up questions to your child / classroom about what things CAN he do in the wind before you get to the finale to see what activity Argyle Fox decides to play.

This book is beyond cute! Although he is frustrated, Argyle Fox is a lovable character throughout the story and readers find themselves rooting for him. This book does a great job at encouraging children to try new things and persevere. I especially like how the end shows Argyle sharing with others despite the fact those same animals weren't very encouraging of his earlier attempts to play.

I especially enjoyed the art work in this picture book, and am interested in reading other titles by this author / illustrator. I can imagine the adorable depictions of nature and animals hung up in a child's room!

This children’s book follows a fox named Argyle who wants to play outside, but his play keeps getting interrupted by the wind. He interacts with lots of other animals that he’s friends with.

This book was absolutely adorable! I loved the art and character design, especially of Argyle and Mr. Badger. It was a quick, easy, and fun read that would be enjoyable to kids.

I especially loved the end of the story, and how Argyle was making toys for each of the animal friends that were tailored to what they love doing.

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Argyle Fox wants to go outside and play. However, each time he tries, the wind keeps ruining his plans! He wants to give up, but his mom encourages him to keep thinking about what he could play with in the wind. Finally he comes up with the answer - a kite!

This is a really cute book about perseverance and not giving up. I love the illustrations - they are so beautiful! Would recommend!

This is such a cute little story! A little fox wants so badly to play outside on a very windy day. But no matter what he tries to play, everything goes wrong when the wind picks up. His pirate hat blows away, he get stuck in his spider's web, and many other disasters.

After a tantrum, Mama suggests he tries to think of something he can play in the wind. And wouldn't you know - he figures something out! I loved how this story teaches kids to be positive, even when things don't seem to work out. Also - it's never a bad idea to get a little creative.

Definitely one I will be reading to my kids again!

This is a book that is very much my son. He is easily bored, no siblings at home, no neighbors to play with. He enjoyed this book about a little fox, bored on a windy afternoon, who just wanted to go outside and play. When everything he did, didn’t work out, he finally found something to do on a windy afternoon.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review.

Argyle Fox is a kit who lives in a tree with his knitting mum and has lots of friends in the nearby forest and meadow. One day he has a case of the wiggles and wants to go outside to play but everything he tries is ended by a great gust of wind. Finally, he tries one last time and it works for him and all of his friends, too! Loved the story and the exceptional illustrations! Need one for the local library and as gifts for distant grands! ESL friendly.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Tanglewood Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!

This book tells the story of a determined little fox who is determined to do a whole bunch of things. Unfortunately, the wind gets in the way. His resilience is awesome, and in the end, he works with his surroundings and finds a way to enjoy the windy day. I love the illustrations and love the message. Although it's clear that our fox friend gets frustrated, he never gives up. The fact that his grit is rewarded with a happy ending is a powerful message that will resonate with the kids I read this to. The adorable pictures and wonderful phases add the icing on the cake! I'll definitely be adding this to my classroom library!

Argyle Fox is determined to do as he pleases, regardless of the windy weather. He tries and fails, tries and fails, again and again, to find something he can do despite the weather. Perseverance pays off! The illustrations are wonderful and argyle fox learns a valuable lesson about being flexible and accepting limitations.

Argyle Fox is about a young fox who wants to play outside! He thinks of all these things to do but when he goes outside and starts to play the wind blows his stuff around making it hard to play! So he goes back home to his house in the tree and decides to never play with the wind again! his mother tells him to think and he will think of something that he can play with while its windy outside.

This was a great story! The pictures are full of colors which captures the kids attention! I liked that he was encouraged not to give up! I chose this book to share with a book club I run with my sister for home-school kids ages 5 to 9 and they had so much fun with this story! .We asked then what they would do on a windy day or if they wanted to play soccer or pirates on a windy day how they would go about doing it so the wind wouldn't be a problem! But most of all they had fun making the kites!

Thank you for sharing this story with The Mighty Mini Lites!

This fun picture book about a little fox that was struggling to play in the wind is engaging for young children. The illustrations are charming and the addition of sounds (such as whoosh) and dramatic reactions to failed play ideas provide ample opportunities to draw in a child when reading to them. The lesson about working with your environment was subtle and as a parent I appreciated that it encourages perseverance, creativity and independent problem solving. I would recommend this book to families with young children.

Marie Letourneau has done a wonderful job. This book is so adorable. Little Argyle Fox just wants to play and the wind is not cooperating. This is a good tale of not giving up. It shows him being frustrated and sad, but he keeps trying. I loved the pictures as well so colorful and fun.
