Take a fanciful journey into the world of vintage camping trailers through the stories of their owners. Almost 400 photos offer a peek at the rare, the unique, the coveted, and the just plain adorable. Tag along to a vintage trailer rally, visit an all-girls camp, and check out the decor of these jewels--ranging from original birch panelling, chenille bedspreads, and a period-perfect Dixie stove, to a "Sharkstream" trailer-as-art-installation. Those with the conviction that trailers deserve to be loved and lived in will enjoy exploring the possibilities as they search for, renovate, or simply dream of living in their own little piece of history.

Each chapter is a different ladies Vintage trailer and her personal journey, in refitting these treasures, in the life they have chosen, and on travelling on the open road and the friendships they have made along the way.

For these ladies, travelling the roads and highways, has become a way of life...and their trailers reflect each persons personality, as shown in these delightful photographs.

I always love see how others live. And this book brought back memories of caravan holiday trips I spent with my family in my childhood, here in the UK.

A whole new look is added to the vintage travel trailer. This book is filled with pictures of vintage travel trailers. Some have been redone inside to be cute and others to off the hook. The book follows a vintage travel trailer rally and a all girls camp. i really enjoyed seeing the different way people have decorated these trailers. The pictures are great both inside of trailers and also the pictures of the parking grounds, some have fields some have mountains and more. The book was really fun to look at. There is a short caption with each picture. i never knew there were actual collectors of these travel trailers. But they are fun to see how they decorated both inside and out.

I loved this book so much I ordered one for myself. It's like a book full of the little play houses I wanted when I was little. This is also a good time to have it in the library, since tiny houses are such a big thing right now.

The author has put together a very pleasing book of vintage travel trailers. Chock full of beautiful photos, there is something for everyone who has ever dreamed of hitting the open road and staying in a charming little home. Whatever your taste, you are guaranteed to find one to your liking. Beginning with restorations, the author tells the story of several people, and the journeys they took in restoring their mobile homes. And what restorations! There seems like there is no limit to people's imaginations. Trailers decorated with a wild west theme, steampunk themes, 50's themes, and on and on. Or trailers restored to their original states. And, I for one, never imagined that there were so many manufactures of travel trailers. There must be dozens of them in this book. It really is a great little book, easy to read, and fun to pick up and look at a few pages at a time. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
