Since the very first book, I think Greer is one of those characters that get under your skin because he is so mysterious. While I'm glad I finally got answers about his past and the present, I couldn't help but feel a little let down on some things. It seemed like it took forever for the plot to actually move forward.
I loved Greer. I love his character. I love how he's so mysterious and damaged goods. Natalie, on the other hand wasn't my favorite heroine Tonya's ever written, but I also did t hate her. Something was missing from her character for me to actually love her.
I had wished th plot would have picked up before it did. It was kind of slow. But, when it did it was great. Tonya has a way with military plots. And they always suck me in. Too Wilde To Tame was no different. I'm not saying I hate this book, but I also didn't love it. I just simply liked it.
I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend it. It was just lacking a few things for me.
This was one of the more surprising reads for me in 2017. What started off a little slow turned into something that just got better and more intense and heartbreaking until the end, when I just pretty much crying and happy for a family I just met.
You should know that this is the first I've read of the author, and yes, I am aware that I read the last book first XD But in all honesty, I'm an urban fantasy reader were dragons and necromancers are my scene, so veering off into a different genre was an interesting experience. If not for this, I would never have found Burrows, and I can't wait to see his other brothers and their love stories. This book was filled with so many feels for me. Greer was really intense emotion and mental wise, and his vulnerability was what really did it for me. The additional hotness and adorable scenes were bonus points. I really liked the suspense as well, how it kept me guessing and trying to figure it all out until the end. It's a definite recommend from me.
I’ve only read a couple of Burrows’s books (the first couple of the HORNET series and the first in the Wilde series) but I remember loving what I read. I went through a period where I wasn’t all that interested in military/suspense romances so I missed quite a few in both series … and now I am SO regretting that decision! I loved these men and the spunky women who brought them to heel. I’m definitely adding her backlist to my TBR pile :)
Only having read one of the Wilde books I’m not sure how much the death of their parents played a part in their books, other than the obvious emotional issues. It definitely takes front and center here where Greer is on a mission to revenge their deaths by taking out the man that killed them. But you know it isn’t going to be as easy as that, right? Injured, he lands on his neighbor’s doorstep and things only get more complicated from there.
Tally has an awesome mix of strength and heart. She understands what Greer needs at any given moment, even if he resists her more often than not :) She’s definitely what he needs whether he will admit it - single-mindedly focused on his mission, he might not want a pretty voice of reason to get in his way but that doesn’t stop her from getting involved. I loved the back and forth between them. They make a great couple and meeting her starts him on the path to being the man that he can be.
Without any other story to guide me, the who-dun-it around the Wilde family is intricate and feels nicely complete. It kept me interested from start to finish and I was really satisfied with how it all tied together. The story is just as much about Greer’s redemption and the relationship that he develops with Tally (and redevelops with his brothers) but Burrows doesn’t scrimp on the suspense element.
For someone who isn’t all that familiar with the Wilde’s I didn’t ever feel left out. You can definitely start here but I have a feeling you’ll be adding some books to your TBR pile too! And I think that returning readers will love to see some of the favorites again, but also feel a little sad that it is coming to an end. But it won’t last long because Burrows is bound to give them something else great soon.
I have loved Greer since reading Wilde for Her, the only other book I've read in this series. It was pure happenstance that I saw this book on Netgalley but I am so grateful I did. Because Greer is indeed just my kind of catnip.
Greer is the eldest of the Wilde boys, the father since the loss of their parents. Damaged beyond belief, yet as giving and tender as they come, he is exactly the type of guy I fall for every time. This time is no different. Greer slayed me from the very first to the very last. I was with him every step of this heartbreaking journey. Natalie was exactly what he needed: strong, loving, stubborn. And so deeply connected to the mystery it was a real struggle. I loved Natalie every bit as much as I loved Greer, at least in part because she too was emotionally damaged.
The plot was full of twists and turns and every one of the Wilde couples are fully involved in this book. I loved how family rallied to Greer and how truly beautifully it all came together. Together, the Wildes - but mostly Natalie and Greer - make a formidable emotional team who sucked me in and never let go. Too Wilde to Tame is the perfect ending to the Wilde Security series and I so look forward to the new stories in the connected HORNET series.
I was hooked from beginning to end. Lots of drama and suspense and the chemistry between Greer and Natalie is steamy. Greer is a great character, I really like him. The story is fast paced and the last of this series so all of your questions will be answered. I really liked it.
This is Book 5 in the "Wilde Security" Series and the last one and it was so very good that I didn't want it to end. I almost read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down!
This book is full of action, great characters, amazing romance, great chemistry between the characters, revenge! It has it all! This is Greer's story. He's the oldest of the Wilde Brothers and he was the one that has the deepest emotional scars related to the death of their parents.
Natalie is also a great character and her interaction with Greer was awesome!
I highly recommend it. Great read

I love reading about siblings with such great bonds in a series. Not only do they have a tragic past and a tight knit bond, they made me laugh and cry. There were moments in this book that tore my heart out. Greer raised his brothers after their parents murders. He started Wilde Security as a means to support them. His story is touching and if anyone deserved a happy ending, it would be him.
As for Natalie. Although she was to good to be true, she was there for him. She was not timid, she had to have fight and that was a great character trait.
The final book in this series ends with a great epilogue and a perfect ending.
This author really knows how to tell a story.
I have been watching and waiting for this book for over a year. Thank you to Tonya Burrows and Entangled Publishing, LLC/Ignite for granting my request for an ARC. Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review.
Greer Wilde is the mysterious, brooding brother who disappears from time to time. My bet is he's CIA and can't quite get free of the Company. I really, really am ready for this book. When you follow a supporting character through several previous books and he is Greer, well, being impartial can be difficult, but I'm gonna try. So here is impartial: this book just doesn't live up to my expectations. The plot has a lot of holes and the romance is a fizzle, not a sizzle. But, Greer is the whole mysterious, brooding, sexy, spec-ops package, with a side of vulnerable thrown in for good measure.
After barely surviving a mission in Syria, Greer comes home to find the man he believes is behind his parents deaths. Before he can catch Richard Mendenhall, Greer is attacked and mugged. Greer has been MIA for over three months. His brothers are really concerned and his apartment has been "cleaned" by his Army Ranger Black-Ops superiors. And, his childhood home has been torched, burned to the ground. It almost seems like someone is trying to erase him.
Natalie Taggart is just returning home from work early in the morning from her job as a radio-show self-help guru when she finds her teen nephew, Andy, waiting for her and her neighbor Greer passed out in the hallway. Andy freaks and pulls a gun, Natalie freaks and protects Greer, Andy runs. What the What?? Greer refuses to go to the hospital and won't let her call his brothers. Natalie, having more than a little crush for Greer takes him in and tends his wounds. His biggest wound, the death of his parents and his thrust for revenge, can't be fixed with a Band-Aid and a kiss on the boo-boo. Natalie has to draw on her personal, deepest, darkest times in order to help Greer through his. Greer is determined to have his revenge and Natalie is just as determined to stop him. 3 1/2 - Stars
Greer is so freaking hardheaded and thinks he has to do everything himself. Always protecting everyone else but not himself.
I loved how Natalie gets thrown into this dangerous situation and just jumps in to help. She is tougher than she appears and just what Greer needs lol. Her nephew is a butthead and needs a swift kick in the ass.
These two together are dynamite and trouble follows. I've not read any of the other books in the series so I was lost on some characters, but it wasn't that big of a deal.
Overall a great book I'm rating it four stars!
Greer has lived a hard life since his parents got murdered all he cares about is finding out who did it and killing them. Greer is scoping out a person who he thinks killed his parents and gets attacked and lands on his neighbors door step. Natalie is a dance teacher and sees Greer by her door and instantly helps him. Will Natalie be helping Greer not just physically and mentally too? Great book about living your life and not giving up when you lose family. Revenge just might not be the answer but love is. 4/5 stars ****Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Read provided for a voluntarily Advanced Reader Copy of this book ****
I confess - I haven't read any of the other books in this series. Nor do I think you need to in order to enjoy this story, although inevitably, details will be filled in should you choose to do so. This book is, however, perfectly easily read as a standalone.
And the story is a good one. The author has developed characters with whom it is easy to make an emotional connection - the hopelessness felt by Greer, the frustration felt by Natalie. Both are drawn on the page with deft strokes.
But don't think that the author has sacrificed the plot to concentrate on the relationship. This is a tense storyline which kept my interest throughout.
A one sitting read.

The Wilde brother’s series have come to an end with the oldest brother Greer’s HEA. Greer is the most secretive and broodiest of brother but he captured my heart from the moment he was first introduced. Too Wilde to Tame is the fifth and final book in the Wilde Security series but you don’t have to read the other four books to understand the story. Although I would recommend the other novels in this series, it isn’t mandatory.
Greer is out for the revenge he’s been waiting for since he was 15 and his whole world speed to becoming an adult. After the death of his parents when he was 15 years old, Greer dedicated his life to raising his 4 younger brothers. Now his brothers are grown and settling down so he is ready to extract his one goal to kill the man who killed his parents. Natalie has been Greer’s neighbor for the last three years but other that then a few hellos they have never really spoken to each other. When Greer lands at her door steps bleeding, beaten, bullet- riddled, and asking for help, she can’t turn her back on the sexy neighbor.
I loved this novel because it was full of anguish, sexy scenes, mystery, suspense, and an overall fabulous HEA! I loved all the other four books in this series but Greer and Natalie’s novel is my favorite. I’m now sad to see them done. It was 5 stars and I would recommend this novel in a heartbeat.
This is the final book in this series and if I feel like I have been waiting ages for it. It is the last Wilde Brothers turn for love, and its Greer's Story.
Now while all these books can be read a stand alone, I feel they read better in a series as they all take place around a similar time line and obviously because they are all brothers they all feature prominently in the books.
Greer is trying to prove who killed his parents years ago leaving him and his brothers orphans. He literally stumbles into Natalie's life when she finds him beat up on her doorstep one night. Greer is her neighbor, whom she has had a crush on for a while. He literally disappeared 4 month s ago and her brothers have been asking her to keep a eye out for him ever since. He is pretty badly beaten up not to mention has a bullet hole in him. He begs her to help him and not to call the police or his brothers.
In helping Greer Natalie's whole life changes in that not only is she now involved in what ever he is trying to uncover but also because as someone who has a psychology degree she realizes that Greer suffers heavily from PTSD and is having suicidal thoughts.
I enjoyed this book tremendously and I loved how Natalie never once shy'd away from diving in and helping Greer. She was a remarkable heroine, and while my heart broke and bled for Greer, I also liked how strong he was. Even though he wants to give into the depression that is dragging him down. he chooses to fight for his brothers, family and Natalie in the end.
The epilogue was so beautiful that I will admit to shedding a few tears. I loved how we got to say goodbye to these 5 sexy brothers and I enjoyed taking the ride to see them all get their HEA!!!
Ah, this book! I loved it so much even though I cried and laughed my way through it. TOO WILDE TO TAME is raw and emotional, and a bittersweet but perfect way to conclude this series. My heart broke all over again for the Wilde boys, especially the teenage Greer who had to become an adult much too soon and keep his family together, who made a bargain with the devil with his soul for his family, who was so damaged by the things he had done and seen. You don't have to read the entire series to have this book make a huge impact on you, but doing that will definitely give you a better appreciation for this book, which I will highly recommend.
For a man on the edge like Greer, only Natalie could break through to him because she gave him a reason to live for and the fact that she had suffered her own loss and had to re-invent herself, coupled with her professional training put her in the best place to help him. She was strong and intuitive enough to know when he needed tough love or some sweetness. She was also not a pushover and did not let him get away with anything.
The pace of the story is not super-fast, which I think was ideal but it is a little wild (no pun intended) the way Natalie and Greer's families are connected. I was a bit bothered by Greer keeping his brothers in the dark about his investigation into their parents' death and his insistence at protecting them even though they were all grown up, but as the only parent they had, it was kind of understandable. In the end, the family he gave everything up for was his salvation.
The epilogue with all that sweetness was the perfect antidote for all the raw emotion that came before it and left me in tears again, this time for joy. The bond between the Wilde boys is one to envy and their devotion to each other is something to admire. If I were a sentimental person (oops, I am!) I could say the epilogue made me imagine their parents smiling down at their boys and the family they had created for themselves. I know that this series is one I will re-read again and again and I look forward to more from Ms. Burrows.
3.5 - "And break..." Stars!
Tonya Burrow’s returns with the fifth and final book in the Wilde Security series.
IMAGE.
Five books, over three years, not forgetting the numerous cover changes in that time, and we are finally given Greer Wilde’s story, the eldest Wilde brother is carrying more than a few troubles on his shoulders and the author took a good 65-70% of the book exploring them while he carried on looking into the deaths of his parents.
"What kind of trouble are you in?"
"I don’t know yet."
I liked Natalie, a confident woman not afraid to stand up to grouchy Greer, but for me the story took too long to get going. The intimacy between them is very limited and the suspense aspect of the book played out in a rush towards the very end of the book.
"You’re too complicated…"
"I’m complicated… How’s that?"
"You’re too close."
"Too what?"
"To me."
I certainly didn’t struggle to read Too Wilde to Tame, and the banter between the Wilde siblings when they finally get back together bought a few giggles on, but I was kind of expecting more. More story, more sex, more depth, more development seeing as this book was the culmination of the series, and the explanation to Greer’s absence through most of the previous books, it just lacked a little impact.
"You look good with a smile."
Decent epilogue though, and I hope we get some updates on the guys and their women through future HORNET books.

Greer Wilde had to step up and raise his four brothers following the murder of his parents when he was 15-years old. He miraculously kept them together and started Wilde Security in an effort to continue providing a steady stream of income and maintain their connection. Now he's in trouble. Greer's been off the grid for over four months and he's in bad shape emotionally and physically but is determined to find and kill his parents' murderer. However, if his neighbor Natalie Taggart has anything to say about, that's not going to happen.
This is the final book in the series and Greer is the toughest and most secretive of all the brothers. Unraveling his story was heartbreaking and there was much to admire about this character. I liked Natalie, though she was often too good to be true. However, she was perfect for the extremely flawed and grumpy Greer, showing up as his angel of salvation and he deserved her. I was surprised at the resolution of the parents' murder, a nice little twist that satisfied my suspense itch.
Everything's answered in the lovely epilogue, a fitting end to a series I've enjoyed. While I'm sad to see it come to an end as I've liked the Wilde brothers and the women in their lives, it's good to know they'll continue to show up in the HORNET series.
3.5 stars.
Too Wilde to Tame sees the Wilde Brothers series come to an end and, after three years and much build up over the previous four books plus his links to the HORNET series, I was looking forward to seeing oldest brother, Greer centre stage as he has been a complete enigma.
"It’s time to tell them everything."
When a series continues over several books, I think you naturally have expectations particularly when there's an ongoing suspense element. So yes, I went into this with certain hopes: some of which were met, and some that weren't.
"For the first time in a very long time, he saw a future that was more than death and despair and soul-crushing secrets."
In terms of characters, Greer and Natalie were easy enough get along with, and although their chemistry was a little lacklustre with little intimacy between them, they were likeable and I particularly liked Natalie's fight. And, as has been the case throughout this series, the banter between the brothers and their love and support for one another was great, bringing humour and some emotion.
"We put the fun in dysfunctional."
The issue I had was the pacing: more needed to happen sooner and whilst it gathered some momentum along the way it wasn't until the last 30% when the story really kicked off. You can't deny that when Tonya Burrows inserts a twist or a red herring she's good and she did bring the unexpected, it just didn't have the impact of its predecessors for me because 60% was steadier.
"What was more frightening? Opening his heart to her or losing her?"
With a nice epilogue bringing closure to the Wilde boy's story, this was by no means a struggle for me to read, it simply wasn't my favourite of the series. And I do hope we get to catch up with them in the future in Tonya's HORNET series.
This was a good read. The hero is suffering from PTSD and depression. They come together under bad circumstances, but working together they find answers and get their HEA. The sex scenes were hot in this book. They were drawn to one another and had a connection that worked for them, which also added to the story.
I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book
So, so good! Fast paced, high energy, and truly intriguing characters. This is Greer's story. He's the oldest of the Wilde Brothers and the one that carries the most emotional baggage when it comes to the death of their parents. Now he's looking for revenge and determined to find his parents killer. The twists and turns this story takes made the whole thing so exciting. I loved how Natalie handled Greer too. Never letting him get away with too much but being supportive and kind at the same time. Definitely a well done book and one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.
