Tornado Weather is a character driven mystery that explores the intertwined lives of people in a small town. Each chapter offers a glimpse at a new character and their quirky life, in a tiny town. Kennedy is able to capture each character in vivid detail despite devoting such a small space to each. It was very enjoyable to puzzle out through the narrative how all the characters related to each other. I expected a few more twists and turns, but overall the end was very satisfying.

This book surprised me, it wasn't what I expected at all and I enjoyed reading it. It is about the residents of a small American town going through some changes, the most recent of which is the replacement of the dairy workers with some Mexicans, brought in by the dairy owner and housed by him in slums. Each chapter gives the viewpoint of a different character, and each character is well written, and gives a different viewpoint. Meanwhile the mystery of a missing girl is unravelling. It is thought provoking, yet somehow upbeat. I would recommend.

This book was confusing at best, presented a racist view of hispanics. I am sorry I read it.

This is a very good book told from the perspective of various people in a small town where a young girl has gone missing. This book will take you through a variety of emotions. Very good character detail. This is my first time reading this author but it will not be my last. The ending of this book is beautiful. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

This was a great read. I thought the writing was excellent. Very believable dialogue. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Wally Lamb or Elizabeth Strout.
