Good start to a new series. I enjoyed this book, Hannah & Liam were hot from the start. I enjoyed the back & forth between them but felt bad for both of them with their individual heartbreak. We see them each grow with each day they spend together even with the darkness in Liam. I really loved Pharaoh the mischievous horse that seems to know how people are feeling & his antics with Liam's boots. I would recommend this book

A wonderful HEA romance with two imperfectly perfect couple. Liam and Hannah at first seemed so unsuited for each other, but slowly it became clear that they couldn't be more perfectly matched. There were so many times that the pain and suffering each experienced...though quite different, very much alike in how each one was experiencing, nearly brought me to tears...especially Liam and how much he lost in many different ways. It was evident that he still suffered even though he was considered a hero. The author did a great job of bringing heart to the story.

Now that I've began the series, I'm looking forward to reading the story in the series.

Touching sweet and sexy romance about two people who have overcome so much finding each other. Hannah is on the run from her faithless groom to spend her prepaid honeymoon alone when she meets Liam. Liam is like no man Hannah has ever met. A hard working cowboy who hasn't gotten over the death of his wife and child 2 years earlier. Drawn together by circumstances, Hannah and Liam realize that they do have more in common than they thought. I really enjoyed this romance!

A story about a deeply tortured hero who suffered too much loss in his life, and how he’s redeemed by the love of the heroine.
I love a wounded hero but unfortunately this one wasn’t one of my favorites, there was too much telling about the severe grief effects he’s still experiencing and I felt that the romance developed too quickly.
I also didn’t connect with all that alphaness and virility, stressed so often (“lethally handsome”, “a lethal aura of male power”, “devastating male appeal”, “disturbing virile” [while holding a whiskey bottle], leaning “against the doorjamb in a way that exuded command”) [quotes from ARC].
Overall this is a well-written story but with plenty of clichéd aspects (the alpha male, the nightmares, the PTSD, the danger of awakening him, the “primal and animalistic sex, wildly wonderful and even spiritual”).
Not my favorite kind of delivery, others might enjoy it.

Ann Major can break a heart as easily as she can piece it back together. My favorite aspect of her stories is that she has a beautiful way of speaking to the heart without sugarcoating the outcome. Love With an Imperfect Cowboy reads like a tragic love song. There are betrayals, emotional losses and mysterious tragedies that haunt every leg of Liam and Hannah's journey. However, along the way each learns a valuable lesson about themselves and the healing powers of faith and love. It's hard not to get teary eyed when reading Ann Major.

Hannah is a high society just wedded bride who runs from her wedding day. She is truly having a horrible time. She ends up in Texas since she has two tickets for a honey moon at a dude ranch. The bumpy road to this ranch takes a few wrong turns. She ends up lost on a stormy night and walks into The Lonesome Dove Bar where she meets up with Liam. Liam has had some serious heartbreaks in his life. Hannah showing up on the anniversary of the worst night of his life could be his distraction from that devestation only she shoots him down flat. Hannah ask for directions to this dude ranch from Liam and leaves. The bars disgruntle patrons decide to chase after her which leads Liam to follow them and rescue her.

Can a man with demons and a broken heart find true love a second time around ? Can a high society girl find the lasting kind of true love with a cowboy? You will need to read this story to find out. :)

Love With An Imperfect Cowboy,  Ann Major

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  romance, Women's Fiction

Well, Ann's written many, many stories, yet this is my first one of hers! I wanted to love it but I’m really in two minds about it, I enjoyed parts of it but there was more that I just didn't like, and overall it's a miss for me.

I liked Hannah, really felt for what happened to her, she must have been devastated, so her running away felt a very genuine reaction. Likewise Liam, he’d been through some awful tragedy and I understood why he shut himself away as he did. As characters they were both very real feeling and easy to belive in.
What I struggled with was the way the two reacted when they first met. It didn’t go well, and they were both so rude to each other and that just didn’t sit right with me, felt out of character for both of them.
I know something along those lines was needed to get them to where they had to be for the story to fall into place but that just felt wrong.

Then there’s the filthy cabin, there’s no way a rich lady, who would have had staff to do the housework, laundry etc, would have been able to do what she did to it in just one night. Where did she get all the cleaning stuff from for instance? It just couldn’t happen. One room maybe, all the laundry maybe, but that and the whole house?? Nope. can’t be done.

They go from that early animosity into a strange kind of respect and friendship, and I’m not really sure how and when that happened. Then of course the past pops up, and though Liam's past felt real, and the things around it now, the emotions he felt very natural and understandable, when it came to Hannah I just couldn’t see it unfolding like that. It just jarred, I couldn’t see all those people being there and for me it felt wrong.

Stars: two, overall a story that had more that didn’t suit me than it did. As ever though that’s just my take, others love it and you could too. Reading tastes are very individual.
