This is an English based cozy about a Canadian living in England. When a local abandoned home, burns to the ground after housing squatters for years the community comes together to support the family that has lived there. The suspicious fire has main character Sam helping to solve the mysteries of the fires and missing neighbor. I loved the talk of gardening and community feelings I got from this book. This book is out February 21st.

All in all a solid entry to this unique series. I continue to enjoy our middle-aged, clever, self-sufficient book editor as a protagonist, and I think she is what carries it through more than the mystery. The mystery is good, but in the end the solution feels a bit dramatic - this seems to be a trend in the series though. Still, I enjoy reading them and plan to keep up with Sam's adventures.

A well written and entertaining read that kept me up til the wee hours of the night. Enjoy this book immensely.
