What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.
Really cute story! I could really feel the connection between Ronan and Hope! I really liked book 1, but book 2 missed for me because I couldn’t feel the connection between the characters and it took forever for them to start showing they care. This book takes just as long, but there are plenty of little gestures that show you how deep the connection is between Hope and Ronan. I had a smile on my face multiple times while reading this. Also, love Hope’s trivia facts!! Too fun! Hope and Ronan are adorable! Sweet and passionate romance. I don’t really like the reality show idea, but the story is entertaining. Plus, the side characters are all interesting and I enjoy the overall series story with the O’Donnell brothers.
**I received this book from Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley for an honest review.**
Hope is an up-and-coming TV producer set on producing a reality show set at the Buoys. Ronan is the reluctant brother who wants nothing to do with the reality show business.
Another really good addition to this series. I think this one had a bit more drama with grumpy Ronan but I liked it. I really liked Hope from the start with her open honesty and randomness. I also really liked the addition of JD even though it wasn’t a main focal point.
I’m going to assume this is the finale since all of the siblings are coupled up but this is one group that had such great chemistry that updates wouldn’t be annoying at all. Things didn’t get heavy for a bit and I was questioning motives but at the end of the day the outcome made it worth it.
The O'Donnell brothers are all great in their own ways and Ronan is no exception. He has been burned before but when he meets Hope, the sparks fly and he wants to risk it all on love again.
A good contemporary romance. I liked the characters and the romance was sweet.
This well written, emotional roller coaster between Hope and Ronan will keep you reading late into the night to finish.
CATCH AND RELEASE - Laura Drewry
#3 in the Fishing for Trouble romance series
HOT REALITY SHOW STAR - 4 stars
Plot - 4 stars - Hope is part of the production team for the new version of the TV show "Hooked." The format has changed, so it's more of a reality show about the O'Donnell family. Ronan, the hot-tempered oldest brother, isn't happy but has agreed to go along in order to put The Buoys on the map. Hope and Ronan have an immediate attraction, but they're both gun shy. After taking it slow for a while, their feelings soon take over.
Writing - 4 stars - Drewry always captures my attention with her great characters. Since we've already met the other two O'Donnell brothers, the stage was already set.
Characters - 4 stars - The location is isolated and limited, which allows us to really get to know the characters since there are few distractions. Ronan is the oldest brother and has been introduced to us previously as the disillusioned and hot-headed man who still feels responsible for his younger siblings. He's very closed off and is determined to keep Hope at arm's length. But Hope is cute and nice and doesn't push. She also has had disappointments in life, but she compensates by being super-prepared and trying her hardest. Both characters have hidden depths and lots of strength--very attractive features. They care deeply, which makes them vulnerable.
Title - 4.5 stars - Excellent title, using a fishing term to describe Ronan's romantic life as well. After being hurt in the past, he tends to have one-night stands and brief encounters, never getting too close to any woman.
Cover - 4 stars - Pretty cover. I love the mistiness of the background, indicating both that the location is on the water as well as suggesting that there are secrets that might still be undiscovered.
Overview - 4 stars - The characters and the easy-writing style of Drewry make this book a success. I liked the predictable romantic format, and it was done in a pleasant and very enjoyable way. It was nice to finally get to know the third brother in the family while still sharing a lot of time with Liam and Finn. There's a lot of drama at the end with the culmination of a long-standing open issue that we've wondered about. I shouldn't have been surprised about the unexpected guest, but I was--and it was all the excitement and emotion that I could have wanted. Very nice series set in an interesting location, with excellent characters. A definite winner.
Catch and Release is the 3rd book in the Fishing for Trouble by Laura Drewry. I have read all 3 books in this series and I will have to say that I loved all of them. The O’Donnell boys are funny, handsome and love fiercely
This book is about Hope Seaver and Ronan O’Donnell. Recently the boy’s father, Jimmy O’Donnell passed away and the boys have decided to renovate the fishing lodge. The past few months everyone, has been pitching in to get the lodge up and running and profitable again. Part of that plan was to get a TV show called “Hooked” to come film at the Lodge. Hope is the Field Producer for the TV Show. Hope has never meet Ronan but she was on a conference call whenever Ronan told Luca the Producer to “F-Off”. So she is of course a little intimidated to meet him and his brothers.
When Hope and Ronan meet once the float plane docked Hope is leery to meet Ronan. She was a frain he would yell at her like he did Luca on the phone. However he was very friendly. Hope also noticed how handsome he is. She is so nervous that she blurts out a “ Did you know Texas horned toads can shoot blood out of the corners of their eyes?” Ronan had looked up Hope and her crew but he wasn’t prepared for Hope to stay something like that or for her to be as pretty as she was. So his responded with an equally random fact that put Hope at ease.
The more time Hope is at the lodge, the more time she speeds with Ronan and she sees a different side of him. He isn’t really mean he is just very private. They start spending more time together until Hope point blank ask Ronan if he is ever going to kiss her. Ronan doesn’t answer her at first so she starts spouting random facts again. Ronan tells her he does want to kiss her and she says when, but before he can respond Liam bust in the kitchen for some food. After that night in the kitchen Ronan and hope start spending more time together and they eventually start dating.
This is a very good book. It is super sweet, funny and sexy at times. I laughed out loud several times. It is dual POV and you will fall in love with both Ronan and Hope. I would highly recommend reading this book and the previous two books in this series.

Catch and Release is a lesson in delayed gratification. The story moved pretty slowly in the beginning (so much so that I put it down after a chapter or two and picked it back up about a month later). Despite the slow start, I'm so glad that I didn't write this one off! If you've been enjoying this series from the beginning, you know that this is Ronan's story. Ro suffered the most when his dad was drinking and then went on to suffer more during his failed marriage. If anyone deserves a HEA it's Ronan. Hope, the heroine, had wonderful parents, but now she's all alone and, of course, just what Ro needs.
Ro's family is full of hard workers, jokester and busy bodies but it's all done in love. The family provides an opportunity for you to experience all the feels -- laughter, anguish, frustration, joy and true camaraderie. If you're searching for a read with a nice round hero, this is perfect.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGallery, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Big Brother Ronan is hiding out: hiding out from commitment, his feelings, and love. Nonetheless, he doesn’t shirk from his responsibilities as he and his brothers keep the Buoys afloat by signing up as reality tv fodder. He didn’t plan on connecting with comely producer Hope, but she’s hard to ignore with her abundant bag of tools and fun facts, plus she’s one of the few people on the island he’s not related to. He may have been out of the love game for a bit, but with a little push from the resident Ms. Fix It, he tries not to be a dick and make a love connection.
Catch and Release by Laura Drewry is just as delightful as the rest of the Fishing for Trouble series and this delve into what makes Ronan O’Donnell tick is a pleasant ride. Ronan is charming yet unassuming and his love interest, Hope, is too. They are the kind of characters that keep to themselves, but once you get to know them, they bloom and come alive. It takes a minute for things to heat up between Ronan and Hope and that is where this story shines. Lingering glances and silly banter make for an unconventional courtship (although no one least of all RoHo would call it that) that delivers a sensual, slow-building heat. However, it takes a bit of a push (i.e., Jessie from Lured In) and some fresh baked cookies to seal the deal. Ronan and Hope try to keep their shipping on the DL. Small islands do not lend themselves to secrecy, and their growing relationship is soon out on the table, but their emotions are not. They keep their feelings to themselves even as they try to pretend it is just a fling. Romances are made for instant connections, but Catch and Release must refer to the quickness into which they catch feelings of the big L variety. It’s not entirely unbelievable, but there isn’t enough description to be in love after the first bang (looking at you Hope). Ronan is a bit cooler, but he’s not exactly the most open to commitment in the first place.
Commitment is a bit of an issue for all the O’Donnells given their family dynamic, but more so for Ronan as the oldest. He carries his family tragedy to heart, and the reality cameras don’t hesitate to use it. The third act drama is a catalyst for would be betrayal, soul searching and happy ever afters. It loses some steam once the season ends and the cameras quiet. The ending feels rushed and the outcome conveniently tidy. However, if a perfect HEA told with grace and sweetness, you can’t go wrong with Catch and Release.
Did you know that half a Viagra in the water of your flower vase will make your flowers stay erect longer? Did you now that writing a romance novel about fishing should not be romantic? BUT Laura Drewry totally defied that logic! I loved every book in this series and the O'Donnell men couldn't be more romantic! Things I loved: crazy facts, manly tears, JD, and flash cards. And you, Laura Drewry because you are Craisin' Amazin'!
I loved everything about this book from start to finish. The only bad part was that it ended, because I wanted to stay with this family forever.
Hope feels like she knows Ronan because of her research. She was not prepared for the real thing. As she keeps her promise to keep the family and their business in a good light without being too intrusive, she must deal with her feelings for Ronan who is very distrustful of women because of his past. The attraction between them sparks hot and furious until a misunderstanding has Ronan pushing Hope away. I loved how Hope was willing to see where their feelings led and when she realizes she needs to do what is best for her. Ronan may have his secrets but he is willing to admit to making mistakes in order to keep his relationship with Hope alive. This is third in the series, and I enjoyed this story very much as well as the series.
I received a copy through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
So excited to read Ronan's story. In this third story, we return to the O'Donnell fishing lodge on a remote island in Canada. The O'Donnell brothers are trying to save the family business, The Buoys, which also happens to be the family home. Ronan is the oldest of the brothers, and by far, the most stubborn and wary of women. The boys all have the demons from childhood, but Ronan's seem to run the deepest. Now to save the lodge, the family has agreed to have a fishing show film there, basically turning them into a reality TV show. Enter Hope, the producer that turns Ronan inside out, in a sweet and sexy way. This story had its heavy, emotional moments, but it also made me laugh out loud. Each time Hope got nervous, she would spout the most inane, hilarious facts. It was even better when Ronan responded with his own random, and most likely inappropriate, fact. I now know some very dirty facts about Canadian cities and gross facts about lizards. Ms. Drewry has created such a beautiful and peaceful place in the Buoys, that I almost forget that I don't fish and have very little desire to...I still want to go visit this lodge. She has also created characters with a lot of depth, humor and heart. It was a pleasure to read this series and to watch each of the brothers overcome their past to find love. Another fantastic series from Laura Drewry!

Catch and Release is the third, and I assume, the final book (as this is about the last of three brothers) in the Fishing For Trouble Series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series and I was looking forward to reading Ronan's story. The setting is a remote fishing lodge, the Bouys, in British Colombia that is owned by the three O'Donnell brothers, Although part of a series, the book can be read as a stand alone, but I much prefer knowing the background of the others in the story.
The O'Donnalls have been struggling to keep the lodge open but things are looking up after they were featured on an episode of a TV fishing show last season. Bookings are up now and they've been offered a contract for the whole season this year, except they learn that now the show has been changed from strictly fishing to a reality show based format.
This show is what brings Hope Seaver, an up and coming producer, to the Bouys. I liked Hope, she's bubbly and cheerful yet at times endearingly awkward. She has a nervous habit of spouting totally absurd trivia about random things, and carries around a bag that has everything but the kitchen sink. We learn that she, like Ronan and his brothers, has experienced tragedy in her past, and she still carries the effects.
I liked that there was a slow build to Ronan and Hope's relationship, rather than 'instant love'. I really didn't foresee what happened in the final episode, but once I realized what was going on I knew that he was going to hold Hope responsible. There is a lot of turmoil and emotion and the story deals with some hard-hitting issues.
I give it 5 stars and I think Catch and Release was a wonderful wrap up to the Fishing For Trouble series. I would recommend it to contemporary romance junkies, especially if you like a hero who is a slightly damaged alpha male, a heroine who is a strong sassy girl who knows what she wants, and a setting that is out of the ordinary.
The O' Donnell brothers have been through a lot but each of them will finally get the life they have been dreaming, in the place they have always called home, The Buoys. In the series Fishing for Trouble, each brother will get their own happy ending and a resolution of sorts about their family life.
The third book in the series, Catch and Release finally sheds the spotlight on the last and most troubled brother Ronan. Ronan has made a lot of sacrifices growing up without his mom and a dad with a temper. Love was as elusive to him as when he was little and when he got married. Both his mother and his ex-wife disabused him of the notion that love can fix everything. In his experience it just made you crave for something that isn't there. So when his two brothers found their own happy ever after, he still thought it was a mistake although his future sisters in law is kind of okay. But when The Buoys had to accept a Reality TV contract to help with the expenses, little did he know that Hope maybe around the corner just for him.
For fans of the series, Ronan's story has been tantalizing them from the start. The brother who has sacrificed the most for his family has finally come home, but like a scarred and battle ravaged warrior he seems out of place in the place he has always loved. Hope was a perfect match for him in many ways, were he could be impulsive always angry, she manages to soothe the beast only by her smile, her intelligence and her curiosity about him. Catch and Release is a love story but its also a story about healing, about the strong bonds of family and how hope is the eternal thing that keeps life worth living.
A final and fitting ending to a wonderful family series.
I LOVED this book so much! This was a heartwarming and emotional story. I have been waiting for Ronan to get his HEA and I was so happy with his story! The chemistry between Ronan and Hope was amazing. I love this authors writing and I can't wait to read whatever she writes next!

Catch and Release by Laura Drewry was a well written and heartwarming read.
I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Ronan and Hope, they were likable characters who had been hurt before and opening their hearts doesn't come easy for them.
It took time and honest communication before they slowly let in the feelings they've both been fighting, especially Ronan.
Overall, Catch and Release was a heartfelt addition to the Fishing for Trouble series. Each book has been a joy to read and I highly recommend them all.
I'm a big fan of author Laura Drewry's writing and I'm looking forward to whatever she has planned for us next!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, love, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first:
Off the Hook (Fishing for Trouble #1)
Lured In (Fishing for Trouble #2)
This is Hope and Ronan’s story. Hope is a TV producer who is hosting a reality show at Buoys. Two of the three brothers are fine with her being there but Ronan is not. He does not want to open up on camera or anywhere else. He believes he is the main reason that the brothers gave up their dreams to help him run the Buoys. So, if the show will give them publicity then fine his is okay with that part but not about being on camera. From the past, he knows about woman that act the past and he will not fall for Hope’s act. But what if he is blowing off the one woman for him? Can he figure out if Hope is authentic before she is gone from him for good?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.
